Muesli was stale. I was upset to see a bird pecking on the buffet food each morning. Sweet but unhygienic. Need lighting from reception area down stairs or pathway to rooms at night.

The staff were incredible! This is a place one comes back to, again and again.

Beautiful location

We booked for 2 adults and a child, when we arived we were given a room with double bed, had to request an additional bed which the staff seemed to think was unusual... No hairdryer in the room.

The breakfast in the manor house was really good. The cold buffet was attractive and the hot meals were really good. The grounds, overlooking the vineyards, are beautiful. the staff were friendly and attentive.

The airconditioning had been set to heat only, so it was not possible to cool the room down when the temperature was in the high 20's. Also there were some stains on the furniture which should have been cleaned or replaced.

Always beautiful surroundings, good service and relaxing.

Helpful staff, very comfortable facilities and ideal to have a restaurant within the premises.

Communal Aircon temp throughout the rooms

When we arrived, i found out I had booked a week later than our actual arrival date. Despite this the staff had us checked in , in an hour and gave us an upgrade. The food, staff and ambiance of the place was superb. We took a talk through the vines and met the actual wine farmer and had a lovely chat. Its such an authentic place and not at all pretentious or corporate. I would highly recommend staying here. Besides that the place itself and the views are just stunning! The rooms were also spacious and had beautiful views of the mountain and vineyards. We had a wonderful experience.

We had high expectations for our stay at Laborie, given its reputation, but unfortunately the experience fell short of what we anticipated. A few issues made our stay less comfortable than it should have been. The heated towel rail in our room was not functioning, which was particularly frustrating because of the cold mornings. The WiFi for TV and /internet reception was also very poor throughout our stay.. Breakfast was perhaps the biggest disappointment…we waited 45 minutes to be served, which is simply not acceptable for an establishment of this standard. It left a sour note on what should have been a relaxed morning. Laborie has so much potential and the setting is beautiful, but the experience needs to match the surroundings. We hope these issues are addressed, as we would love to return with more confidence in the service.

My room had an ant infestation and I found a cockroach in the bathroom. I reported the ant problem to the hotel staff and there was no apology for the inconvenience caused. They merely cleaned up the dead ants after I sprayed the ants with some doom spray I found in the room. In addition, the room was extremely hot and the air conditioner in the room could not be adjusted. I reported the problem to the hotel staff and there was no apology. They initially refused to adjust the settings. They rather advised that due to the weather, the rooms were receiving warm air and the air conditioners could not be individually adjusted. After persistent complaints from me, they eventually attended to the problem. Once again, there was no apology from the hotel staff or management. This is not what I expected from a hotel with such expensive rates.

The staff were very friendly and efficient. It’s located in beautiful surroundings. The rooms were clean and the beds very comfortable.

We had an hour wait at breakfast. That was the only negative.

Had a great stay at the Villa at Laborie. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The two restaurants and the deli on the property were excellent. The property is a short drive to many wine farms and restaurants in the area.

Auch dieses Mal hatten wir schöne große Zimmer mit allem Komfort. Blick auf die Weinberge. Das Frühstück im Manor House in besonderem Ambiente. Beim Dinner konnten wir auf der Terrasse einen letzten Sommerabend genießen. Schöner Pool, wunderbar gepflegte Parkanlage. Der Service ist erstklassig und unser Aufenthalt am Ende einer mehrwöchigen Reise war sehr erholsam.

Die Unterkunft an sich sehr schön und komfortabel.

Es hat uns nicht gefallen, dass Checkout um 10 Uhr ist das Personal vorbeikommt und uns daran erinnert.

Sehr schöne Anlage, tolle Zimmer, wunderschöner Ausblick. Am Pool liegen mit Blick auf die Weinberge und einem Glas Wein von der Pool Bar war sehr schön

Essen war okay aber nicht super lecker, insbesondere das Frühstück hat uns nicht so gut gefallen

My wife and I really appreciated how peaceful, beautiful and well-kept Laborie Estate was. The setting is stunning, with a relaxed atmosphere, lovely surroundings and a real sense of history. It also made for an excellent base in Paarl, allowing us to easily explore Stellenbosch and Franschhoek while having a calm and welcoming place to return to each day.

We had such a wonderful stay! The check-in process was really smooth, and we absolutely loved our room. The bed was super comfortable, the aircon worked perfectly, and the view from our balcony was simply breathtaking. We really appreciated the thoughtful touches, like fresh water provided daily and complimentary access to everything in the mini fridge. These small details made our stay feel extra comfortable and convenient. Breakfast was delicious every single day, with so many options to choose from. We also loved exploring the estate. It was beautifully maintained, with two different restaurants, picnic options, and even a little farm grocery. The pool was another highlight for us. It was gorgeous, and having a pool bar right there made it even more enjoyable. Honestly, there was very little we didn’t love. Everything exceeded our expectations. Between the stunning views, the relaxing atmosphere, and the delicious food, this was the perfect mini-moon escape. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and luxurious getaway.

Das Anwesen war toll, die Gärten drumherum wirklich schön angelegt. Auch die Zimmer waren sehr schön eingerichtet. Zudem befindet man sich wirklich direkt in den Weinbergen.

Breakfast was very nice. The other two restuarants were very nice.

Too many stairs without railings which are safety hazard. We ordered two sirloin sandwiches at the Suzanne restuarant which were disgusting. We were expecting at least 100g of meat. In practice there was about 10g of dried up meat!

first of all, i would have liked to have been offered the rooms closer to the reception and not have to drive to our room which I did not really like..I paid to get a better room, the pool at the top was also nicer.. we did not see those rooms and would definitely have been happier to stay there. The food at the restaurant and the breakfast - both good and loved the vista at breakfast. We wanted to walk around the property and were told that there was nowhere to walk - we landed up having a good walk and there were arrows to let us know where to go, so the receptionist was uninformed about that which would be disappointing for other people.

Facilities are top class and the team including marlin the manager dealt with any query.

Some of the bookings we made via the hotel reception had not been confirmed. Luckily we were able to be accommodated for wine tasting and at a local restaurant at short notice.

Sehr freundlich, sehr sauber, das Pool und das sehr gute Frühstück. Mitten in den Weinbergen von Paarl haben wir den Aufenhalt hier sehr genossen . Kann ich nur jeden weiterempfehlen

The checkout time is too early. I was charged R200 for late checkout which is ridiculous as when I left the room the cleaners were not close to cleaning the room.

The room was stunning. The view was unmatched. Clean, comfy, and very great. The property and offering in general were amazing. Its incredible to be just off the main road but feel like you're up in the winelands/mountains.

The balcony has a corrugated iron roof, which, during this time of year, is not ideal for acorns (and tree dabree during a storm) falling from the tree. I usually would not complain about something like this, but it is wildly loud, and I would suggest that a solution be implemented for this.

Beautiful estate close to many wine farms & restaurants. The deluxe accommodation exceeded our expectations - stylish beautifully decorated with every comfort thoughtfully provided.

Unglaublich schönes Weingut mit wunderschönen Zimmern, fabelhafter Service und super Restaurant. Top Frühstück, super Mittag und Abendessen! Aussicht auf die Weinberge einfach schön! Bemühte und nette Mitarbeiter die bei allen Anliegen helfen! Trotz des Brandes Anfang 2026 absolut empfehlenswert- schade dass ein Teil abgebrannt ist aber das merkt man beim Aufenthalt kaum.

Wat een geweldige ervaring. Het personeel is uitzonderlijk vriendelijk en doet er alles aan om je verblijf te optimaliseren. De kamer was ruim opgezet met voldoende plek voor ons en 2 kinderen, alles heel schoon en netjes. We hadden zelf de wine club geboekt wat met twee kids niet het beste idee bleek, echter er werd alles aan gedaan zodat we ons op ons gemak voelden en ook van de ervaring konden genieten. De omgeving is daarbij ook nog eens prachtig. Een van m'n favoriete verblijven ooit!
