Reviewed Sep 12, 2026Ich habe mich für diese Unterkunft entschieden, da ich sie bereits von früheren Reisen nach Paarl kannte und mich an den schönen Pool erinnert habe. Wurde nicht enttäuscht, konnte früher einchecken und den Nachmittag am Pool verbringen mit schöner Ausicht. Die Lage ist zentral und trotzdem ist es ruhig, ausreichend Parkplätze im Innenhof. Gegenüber ist ein Spar Markt, Fazit: sehr zu empfehlen!

Reviewed Aug 3, 2026It was comfortable, cozy and felt like home. It had all the necessary items like a kettle, coffee, tea, aircone and tv. Our room had nice balcony as well and was very spacious. We also enjoyed the breakfast in the morning.
The parking area is quite small and the wooden floors inside make it noticeable when anyone walks there. It might wake you up when someone else enters or exits their room, but I know it forms part of the older building.

Reviewed Apr 13, 2026The location is excellent, especially if you’re attending a wedding at Laborie Wine Farm – it’s right next door, which makes things incredibly convenient. The rooms are generously sized, and the bathrooms are spacious, which made the stay feel comfortable. Staff were friendly and welcoming throughout the visit. There is ample parking available on the property, and the gate key access adds a good sense of security. Breakfast was decent, with a standard selection of fruit, yoghurt, cold meats, and cheeses, plus the option to order a hot breakfast. The beds were comfortable, and it was great to have extra blankets available in the cupboard.
The value for money could be improved. Compared to other B&Bs outside Cape Town, it felt like there were fewer thoughtful extras that usually elevate the experience (such as a small bottle of wine, chocolates, or local treats). Not having complimentary water in the room especially during summer felt below standard. The toiletries provided were quite basic, with only one set by the basin and none in the shower. Small touches like face cloths were also missing. Breakfast pastries were limited (only mini croissants), and a bit more variety would be appreciated. Soundproofing could be improved, as it was possible to hear other guests in nearby rooms. The mirror placement in the room was inconvenient. The only full-length mirror was inside the cupboard, but the door didn’t open fully, making it awkward to use. A better-positioned mirror would make a big difference.

The rooms were not very inviting and need some tlc. The DStV was struggling to deliver a clear and stable connection as was the shower which struggled with delivering hot water (took forever to get water that was sort of luke warm). We were treated with a sagging matras and rock hard pillows.

Reviewed Mar 30, 2026we hadden een fantastisch grote kamer met een mooie badkamer vlak bij het zwembad. De locatie heeft meer kamers dan wij aanvankelijk dachten. De faciliteiten zijn goed inclusief een mooi zwembad dat goed wordt schoon gehouden. Zeer vriendelijke service ook tijdens het ontbijt. Zeer practisch is de supermarkt aan de andere kant van straat tegenover de Oak Tree Lodge.
Aangrenzend was een braakliggend grondstuk, wat nieuw wordt aangeplant met wijnstokken. Hierdoor waaide nu stof in het zwembad wat extra werk opleverde mbt schoon houden.

Reviewed Mar 25, 2026Pleasant location to stay for a view days. The staff is very kind and helpful at check-in when you need assistance (for example making a booking at a wine estate). Rooms are large with a nice bathroom. We enjoyed the bathtub. Air-conditioning is working properly. Rooms are clean. When you want to relax for a day the swimmingpool is excellent. They have very good sunbeds, not much but enough for the amount of guests. Even the hotel is located near a busy road you don't hear much noise so the place is peaceful and quite. Breakfast is served in the restaurant as a buffet. Eggs/omelets are made on request. Large secured parkinglot. Good hotel to stay for a view days!

Reviewed Mar 2, 2026Wir waren nur für eine Nacht auf Durchreise da. Ich persönlich hatte das Zimmer 15. Das ist mit dem Doppelbett sehr klein. Man hat keine Möglichkeit seinen Koffer gescheit abzustellen. Der Kleiderschrank war sehr nach an der Bettkante positioniert, so dass ein Durchgang Richtung Bad nur was für schlanke Personen ist. Der Balkon und die Größe vom Bad waren dafür hervorragend. Das Frühstück war vielfältig und es gab einen großen abgesicherten Parkplatz.

Reviewed Feb 13, 2026Mijn vriend en ik zijn er 2 nachten verbleven omdat ik helaas ziek was geworden tijdens onze reis. We wilde daarom al vroeg inchecken en dat werd meteen mogelijk gemaakt. Ook onverwacht moeten verlengen maar ook dat was geen probleem. Het personeel bood vaak hulp aan en was super vriendelijk! De locatie was erg fijn met een grote Spar recht tegenover. Mooi zwembad en fijne kamer. Wat gedateerd maar erg netjes. Goede airco en sterke wifi.
Het ontbijt was vrij simpel maar voor ons prima

She was hostile and when we asked to sit in the breakfast area to work for 2 hours, she charged us to put on the aircon and made it very clear that she did not want us to sit and work there and that she was doing us a massive favour. We booked 5 rooms in total and travel for work to the Paarl at least once a month but will not be staying there again!

Reviewed Jan 22, 2026We stayed at Oak Tree as we were attending a wedding in the area. We were a large group of 10 people, each of us were very please with the lodge and the rooms. The location and parking were handy and close to many shops. Rooms were clean and comfortable.
Unfortunately, when checking in, the lady at the front desk failed to remind us that we actually had a paid spare room ( we made the booking months in advance so we forgot we had the extra). So no keys were received for this spare until the second night, meaning we lost money for a nights stay. This was meant to be investigated further, but sadly I didn't hear anything back.
