Little Rock Homestay

The view from the room was stunning and so nice to wake up to. The bed was comfy. The hotel is run by a family and the kids were sweet! They helped us book a couple tours to the caves and the duck farm, which were both amazing. The breakfast was good with good choices and strong coffee!

The owner was a bit unhelpful when trying to get a taxi into the town to pick up our coach saying they wouldn’t help because we didn’t book it through them. When we tried to get food one day their child came out and said no she’s busy. The location isn’t walkable to town but their are bikes at the hotel, and there’s no grab bikes as a small town. There was no lamp in the room so sat in the dark every night, which they informed us would be fixed during our stay but it wasn’t. And then we didn’t have power one day for hours as there were works next door but they didn’t inform us. there were ants in the bins and bathroom made worse by no housekeeping during our stay even just to empty the bins. The shower was freezing and the kettle filthy so couldn’t use it and no fridge in the room, and no wardrobe or storage space at all. We didn’t really feel like we could ask for help with any of this as the reception was a bit frosty.

Great place, quiet and the team working there is very helpull.

Wir hatten eine wunderbare Zeit, die Lage ist wirklich beeindruckend, sehr ruhig und direkt am Ende des Dorfes, anschließend das Riesen Naturreservat. Du Besitzerin und ihre Familie hat sich wunderbar uns gekümmert. Frühstück à la carte, ansonsten wird auf individuelle Wünsche super eingegangen. Es gibt auch ein Wäscheservice und eine Rollervermietung. Das Bett ist riesig, sehr bequem und mit toller sauberer Bettwäsche.

Le logement était très agréable à vivre, très propre. La propriétaire nous a très bien accueillis et était très sympathique. Chambre spacieuse et confortable. Situé un peu loin de la ville à pied mais pas contre, la rivière avec canoë, paddle à disposition était très chouette. Nous avons passé un moment reposant dans dans un cadre super beau! Je recommande vivement !

L’établissement est un peu excentré ce qui offre beaucoup de calme. L’accès à la rivière permet la baignade. C’est un homestay vraiment familial.

Nous avions réservé ce lieu pour la chambre avec vue sur la rivière mais il s’est avéré que la chambre sélectionnée donnait sur la cour… l’arrivée a donc été un peu compliqué. Le petit déjeuner est vraiment basique.

Posto stupendo immerso nella natura, comodo per raggiungere tutte le attrazioni della zona. La famiglia che lo gestisce è molto disponibile e accogliente, ci hanno fatto trascorrere 3 giorni indimenticabili. Inoltre visto la disponibilità ci hanno dato un stanza superiore a quella da noi prenotata.

Little Rock homestay was beautiful! A true highlight of our Vietnam trip. The location right on the river is stunning. Afternoon river swims and kayaking with the local families are just perfect. Xuan, the owner was so helpful and her family is beautiful. Just great vibes all around!

Such a lovely homestay run by an amazing family! Our highlights were the breakfast views in the morning and swimming in the river in the evenings! They also helped us to check in late when our bus was late and arranged a bike for us to rent and gave advice on where to drive! Loved it!

Welcoming people and comfortable stay. Great view.

Bữa sáng trong giá tiền phòng là bánh mỳ/mỳ tôm kèm 2 trứng, phần ăn bình thường. Tầm nhìn thì cực tốt, nhìn thẳng ra bờ sông. Chỗ ở có thể chèo sup/kayak hoặc tắm sông miễn phí nhưng chỉ trước 7h sáng. Phòng tắm rộng rãi sạch sẽ và đủ tiện nghi. Chỗ ở xứng đáng với giá tiền.

Tiện nghi trong phòng khá ít, không có bàn và gương. Chỉ có 2 mặt bàn siêu nhỏ để đựng nước và đồ linh tinh. Không có tủ/giá treo quần áo cho khách. Wifi của phòng mình thì không bắt được, điều này khá là tệ, các phòng của bạn mình thì đánh giá là chậm/chập chờn.

The rooms were clean and well-equipped. The host was very nice and helpful. You can rent scooters and bicycles right on-site. The view of the river and mountains is absolutely beautiful. Highly recommended! 😊

El personal del hotel es una familia súper encantadora, nos ayudaron en todo y nos dieron la oportunidad de quedarnos allí todo el día, hacer kayak, ducharnos, etc, incluso habiendo hecho el check out

Der Aufenthalt bei Xuan war ganz wundervoll. Dieser Ort war unsere kleine Oase auf unserer 3 wöchigen Reise. Bei Xuan und ihrer Familie fühlt man sich wie zu Hause. Die Zimmer sind schlicht eingerichtet, aber mit allem was man braucht und sehr sauber. Der Blick auf den Fluss war fantastisch. Xuan ist eine ganz wunderbare Gastgeberin, die uns bei allem unterstützt hat und vor allem bei unseren ganzen Fragen :) Wir können diese Unterkunft nur empfehlen!

Nice view

A lovely homestay in the heart of Phong Nha. We stayed very comfortably and were even greeted with breakfast on our first day with a very early arrival. Our host was very helpful with organising activities and helping us book. The free bicycles were excellent to get into town for our evening meals!

Der Ausblick aus dem Raum war wundervoll – direkt auf den Fluss! In dem Fluss konnte man auch super schwimmen gehen.

Lots of little flies in bedroom but the lady cleaned it for us when we asked, we waited downstairs. Of course you are by the river hence why there are flies. The kitchen was not clean.

Host was amazingly nice, helped booked all of our activities and transport to and from Phong Nha, even let us keep the room longer on our last day since our train was very late in the evening! View from the room is so beautiful, kayaks and bicycles available for free, which is great since it's a little far from the town, but it's nice to be in such a peaceful and calm environment. Everything was great!

Very minor thing but the bicycles are in rough shape, definitely still usable though!

La logeuse est sympathique, le pancake à la banane est bon. La logeuse a proposé une sortie sympa. Belle vue depuis la terrasse du petit déjeuner.

Les surfaces sont sales dans la chambre (à part le sol). Le lit est très inconfortable. Les murs ne sont pas isolés donc j’ai été réveillée a4h par le réveil du voisin. Les vélos sont complètement pourris, les canoës sont impraticables d'apparence. Nous avons été accueilli par une personne avec qui il était impossible de communiquer, même avec le translate. Attention, il est écrit "vue sur la rivière " mais seules 3 chambres sont en face de la rivière.

Quarto bem conservado, moderno, limpo e com tudo o que é preciso. Funcionários super atenciosos! Emprestaram-nos bicicletas e o pequeno almoço era bom.

Faltou um mini frigorífico para guardar nos as águas 😊

View ở đây nhìn ra sông nên rất thơ mộng. Phòng mình view sông nên từ giường ngủ có thể phóng tầm mắt ra sông núi phía trước, nhìn rất thích.

Bữa ăn sáng chỉ có mỳ tôm và bánh mỳ ốp la. Nên bổ sung thực đơn cho phong phú hơn.

The owners are incredibly helpful and will go above and beyond to ensure your stay will be fantastic. We wanted to go caving and not only did they have a lot of detailed alternatives, they also helped with booking our tour. The view is really nice and the room even had an extra queen size bed.

שהינו בחדר משפחתי בקומת הקרקע. חדר נקי ומרווח עם מרפסת גדולה שצופה לנוף מדהים. המארחים מקסימים. אפשר להזמין ארוחת ערב וזה פתרון מאד נוח למי שלא נייד. במתחם המרכזי יש מרפסת גדולה מול הנוף. ניתן לקחת קיאק לשייט עצמאי בנהר. מארגנים סיורים והסעות. מומלץ מאד לקחת חדר שצופה לנוף

מרוחק מספר קילומטרים ממרכז העיירה. אופניים חינם אולם לא במצב טוב

Location on the river and the wonderful staff.

Xuan und ihre Familie sind super nette Gastgeber. Wir haben uns direkt wie zu Hause gefühlt. Alles ist total entspannt. Die Unterkunft liegt im Grünen direkt am Fluss und ist dadurch eine richtige Ruheoase. Kajaks und ein SUP können jederzeit benutzt werden, ebenso Roller (gegen eine Leihgebühr) und Fahrräder stehen zur Verfügung, um die Umgebung zu erkunden. Minimärkte und Restaurants sind auch fußläufig erreichbar. Wir hatten eine super Zeit und würden jederzeit kommen!

The family owners were so nice! They helped us book a tour, we rented a motorbike from them, and they helped us with laundry. Very eager and ready to help with anything. Also all the food they cooked was delicious.

Piękne miejsce, zlokalizowane nad rzeką u samego skraju parku narodowego, z daleka od miejskiego gwaru. Tutaj hałasują tylko cykady :) w pobliżu małe sklepiki z podstawowym wyposażeniem, a w zasięgu pół godzinnego spaceru większe sklepy i restauracje. Domki bardzo przyjemne, czyste, na miejscu wszystko co potrzeba. Można wynająć skuterki w rozsądnej cenie, rowery i pożyczyć kajaki. W ramach śniadań oferowane jest menu z kilkoma pozycjami, spróbowaliśmy większości opcji i każda była pyszna. Duży plus za brak sztywnych pór serwowania. Można też zamówić domowe posiłki w ramach obiadu czy kolacji. Pani gospodarz jest bardzo przyjazna, miła i pomocna. Przybyliśmy na miejsce dość późno wieczorem a i tak zostaliśmy powitani ciepło i z uśmiechem. W dniu wyjazdu mieliśmy autobus wieczorem, a i tak mogliśmy zostawić bagaże na cały dzień i nawet wziąć prysznic przed podróżą.

Hard bed

This was a lovely property sit situated just outside of the village center. Located on the river with a beach. Free use of bikes, paddle board and kayaks . We had a lovely room that looked out over the river with a big porch . It was in great shape . Most of all, we enjoyed the owner,Son, and her children. Son was so sweet and helpful. I had a couple of issues come up that I was having trouble with because of the language barrier. Son stepped in and help me solve my problems. My main problem was losing my wallet on my way there. Not only did she help me communicate with the driver and where I thought I left it, but offered to let me pay once I got back to the states if I didn’t have enough money. What an incredible lady.

The only negative was that the equipment, the bicycles and paddle board could’ve been in better shape.

The best one in Phong Nha if you want peace.

The place is beautiful, the views absolutely unmatched. The location is a little further out but it provides a lot of peace and a chance to unwind. The room was big and clean ( so was the whole Property) and although we left for 2 days to do a caving tour I felt assured no one entered the room while we were gone, although you’re in a homestay we still had privacy and felt we could come and go easily. The breakfast provided was good and there’s bikes and kayaks provided free of charge. The owner organised us a scooter which unfortunately had some issues, she immediately swapped it with her own personal scooter which was so convenient and kind. Now, no one works harder then the owner she makes herself constantly abailable, is super welcoming and makes sure your every need is covered, her family is beautiful and everyone meets you with a smile. The only negative is the beds, they are rock hard and impossible to sleep on, we had 3 nights there and had very little sleep.

This was definitely one of our favorite places we stayed in all of Vietnam. The host is SO NICE! Always very helpful, and will go out of her way to make sure everyone is taken care of. The views are seriously incredible.

Xuan and her family were fabulous. The view from the terrace is wonderful and you can swim in the river. Free bikes get you into town easily.

L’emplacement et la vue sont super. Je vous le recommande. L’hôtesse est très gentille, nous sommes arrivés dans la nuit et elle est venue nous chercher sans problème. Le petit déjeuner était très bon. Possibilité de louer des scooter ou de prendre des vélo. On peut se baigner en bas de la terrasse. La chambre étaient propre et bien équipé.

Hotel très agréable, avec une magnifique vue sur la rivière. Loin de l’agitation de la ville tout en restent accessibles, séjour au calme et reposant. Location de scooter et prêt de vélo sur place. A noter, la possibilité d’organiser des excursions depuis l’hôtel, à la journée. Excellent petit déjeuner et dîner.

Kamer is eenvoudig, maar heeft alle benodigdheden en is schoon. Uitzicht op de rivier is prachtig. Diverse opties voor ontbijt. Locatie is iets buiten het centrum, maar dit vonden wij juist fijn en met de scooter ben je er zo. Scooter werd ook geregeld door eigenaresse. Zeker een aanrader voor je verblijf in Phong Nha!

Siamo in viaggio con la famiglia. Abbiamo trovato un ambiente accogliente per i nostri bimbi e altri bambini con cui giocare. Ci siamo trovati bene in relax. Ambiente pulito e curato.

Tolle ruhige Lage am Fluss, sehr bequeme Betten, alles da was man braucht. Ausflüge wurden für uns organisiert und starteten direkt an der Unterkunft. Personal sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.

There was nothing wrong with the actual accommodation but thought I would mention that the accommodation is difficult to find, the name of the homestay doesn’t appear on maps or Grab. When we used the provided address on booking.com it took us to the wrong place, when we found it eventually with the sign outside, I pinned it on my maps.

Het uitzicht is echt fenomenaal! En de familie is zo ontzettend lief, helpen je met alles wat je nodig hebt.

Het warm water in de douche is snel op. Maar al het andere maakt dat goed.

Perfect views, easy access & amazingly comfy bed. The view of the pristine river and mountain is unbeatable. Most people stay closer to the town, but I’ve been to phong Nha 3 times and always choose this area simply for the views & locals. Rent a bike, do the caves yourself & don’t miss the suspension bridges near dark cave. Literally the best views!

It’s a Homestay, don’t go into it thinking it’s the Four Seasons. It’s perfectly cozy! No problems, just typical jungle things.

Beautiful little Homestay managed by Xuan and her wonderful extended family whom we got to meet. She can arrange just about anything you need, short tours, 4 day tours, car into town. Speak to her before you lock yourself into a caving trek. PS the colour of the river is brown because a typhoon had just came through earlier and brought a lot of silt and sand.

The room was really nice, the place is calm and quiet with a good view of the river. It’s a bit far from the town, but with a motorbike takes around 5-10min. The host is friendly and helpful with tours and bus tickets.

The motorbikes they get are a bit old and not in great shape, it’s easy to get another one around though.

The host picked us up late at night from the bus, it, the bus, arriving 2 hours late. The place is beautifu with a riverviewl, the food is nice. The breakfast was good. We had some wonderful tours to the caves that our host. helped organizing for us.

Vi were hopeing to go biking in the area, but the bikes were too old, it was somewhat disappointing.

xuan she's a lovely host and try's to help in every way... she can do booking for you at the same price as the office for the caves,as i learnt by trying to do it my self...The place is lovely and quite away from the town but not to far,sitting haveing breakfast in the mourning on the river front is peacefull and picturesque,dont miss this little gem to stay here..the rooms are very clean and bed's..
