I wouldn’t recommend staying on the top floor. The people there were a bit weird haha. But other than that, everyone was really cool!

Ogni volta che sono stata a Manila sono stata qui! Personale gentilissimo e struttura pulita a un prezzo molto conveniente, hanno anche bar/ristorante interno e buon wifi.

Aria condizionata troppo forte

Il mio ostello di fiducia a Manila! È un palazzo enorme con tantissime stanze. Aria condizionata sempre accesa, molti bagni a disposizione, puliti. Hanno aggiunto anche dei piatti economici nel menù e tutto il personale è estremamente gentile!

Le camere un po’ fredde per l’aria condizionata.

同じ部屋にクサい客（特にインド・パキスタン系）やワガママでウザい客（特に中韓の女）がいなければコスパが良く泊まれると思います。シャワーは合格点です。客は基本的にフィリピン人ではなく多国籍でほとんどが旅行者です。久しぶりに泊まりにきたら、「私は風邪をひいてる」と中韓系のBBAがこの暑い中で完全にエアコンをオフにして部屋が蒸し風呂状態になってました。エアコンつけたら文句を言ってきましたが、無視をしてつけたらその後どうでもいいことにいちいちイチャモンをつけてきたのでこちらもブチギレたら、その後なんかぶつぶつお経のようになんか独り言言ってました（笑）去年に泊まった時は、扉が閉まってるのに部屋の外までワキガの臭いが漂ってくるパキスタン人の集団がいました。ホテルのフロアがどこにいてもワキガ臭してたので、運が悪くこういうのに遭遇しなければコスパ良いです。近くに安いサリサリストアやランドリーがあるので、なんなら金をかけずに住めます（笑）

It's hot, small space, no designated lockers, uncomfortable, staff is not very friendly and accommodating, bad service.

The staff especially the manager. She is so helpful and very warm.

How friendly and welcoming they were. Anytime I needed anything at all they were swift to help me out. The staff always welcomes you with a smile.

The unknown deposit of 500 pesos for the key. However it wasn’t something that made such a negative impact at all. Perhaps better maintenance of the showers but again not a deal breaker at all. Being that I was injured I didn’t explore the surroundings. Not having a kitchen to cook yet they have a restaurant where you can order up anytime of the day.

dış kapı dışardan gelene kapalı, zile bastıktan sonra biri gelip size açıyor, kimi zaman beklemeniz söz konusu.. işin garibi kimi zaman içerden de kilitliyorlar, hapishane mantığı, eğer dışardan girilemiyorsa içerden niye kilitlenir aklım almadı, sordum ama cevap alamadım. dış kapı anahtarı vermiyorlar. ama oda anahtarı veriyorlar. bu da 6 yahut 10 kişilik odalarda ne işe yarıyor, anlamadım. tabii ki kullanmadığın bu anahtar için sizden 500 peso da ücret alıyorlar, kaybedersen diye.. aslında "kaybet de para kazanalım" gibi bir durum var.. kaldığım 3 gün boyunca temizlik orta hallidi.. filipin de temizlik kavramı biraz farklı algılanıyor kaanatimce. özellikle on kişilik odalarda pencere olmadığı için berbat kokuyor. ter, ayak kokusu birbirine karışmış, havasız bir alan, pencere sadece 6 kişilik oda da gördüm. koridor ve diğer oturma alanlarında fan veya diğer araçlar olmadığı için oldukça bunaltıcı.. filipinde uygun fiyata hosteller genel olarak temizlik ve giriş çıkış konusunda sıkıntılı bir nevi hapishane mantığı ile çalışıyor..

The staff were fantastic. Some of the best customer service I've experienced in the Philippines. Very good value for money too.

Stayed here for while exploring. The location was ideal, and close to good food options nearby. Check-in was smooth and the staff were genuinely helpful, giving good local tips and being quick to sort out any small issues. The room itself was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the shower had good water pressure, something that's not a given in hostels! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a comfortable, well-located, sociable stay. Already thinking about booking again next time.

Close to central Makati, the place is easy to spot (it's very yellow!). Hostel restaurant is very convenient and has solid western and Filipino options. Place is clean and has cats! AC is very strong in the rooms.

No elevator, stairs with luggage can be a hassle if you're on the fourth floor. Shame that the rooftop is not being used, with some shade and tables It'd be great.

I did like the room and the location.

I had a great stay in Cheese Hostel.. everything was good. Friendly staff members. Stayed there few days with my 2 year old daughter too. she loved the place too.

Sehr gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Deshalb bin ich auf dem Rückweg auch wiedergekommen. Nicht das beste Hostel aller Zeiten, aber insgesamt solide. Manche Mitarbeiter waren freundlich.

Keine Fenster im Zimmer. Nachts teilweise laut. Wackelige Metallbetten. Anbindung an öffentliche Verkehrsmittel nicht gut. Restaurant lässt zu wünschen übrig.

I liked the location, it is just a short walk from the downtown Makati city area which has lots of conveniences such as 7-11, Jollibee, anytimefitness, bakeries, restaurants etc. I also appreciated how attentive the staff were whenever I had a question or needed the door to be unlocked after coming back late after a day of travelling around Manilla. The room was great for the price too. The bed was comfortable, the wifi was fast and the price per night was very reasonable too. I have no complaints about my stay, and if I had a chance I would like to stay at Cheese hostel again if I ever come back to Manilla in the future. For anyone travelling alone or on a budget, I would recommend staying here. Thank you very much!

Nothing especially, except on one occasion the air conditioner was not functioning properly so the room was hotter than usual which made it hard to sleep. Luckily after another person in the room made the request a member of staff was able to come and fix it so the room was properly ventilated again.

Accommodating and friendly staffs. Location is central yet not in a noisy neighbourhood. The individual bathrooms. The lounge. Spacious rooms.

It’s not convenient for everyone with big suitcases and neither do for PWDs because there is no elevator to get to the higher floors. I think the meals at the restaurant are quite expensive but bearable.

The restaurant inside has pretty good deals. Not a lot of quantity, but taste are good. I tried the wrap. They have a big terrace on top but they didn't do anything with it so there is not even a chair. The amenities are clean.

Quite a dead hostel and it's a big building. My room did not have any window. Only two showers and two toilets per level for 4 dorms. There is no sign with the name of the hostel when you arrive. Just a big yellow door. People at reception were on and off. One person was really nice and helpful, the rest just hang out and barely respond to you like you are bothering them.

L’ostello è un building di tre piani, molto grande con uno spazio all’aperto dove c’è il ristorante. Le camere sono semplici e belle fresche (AC a manetta), i bagni pulitissimi e il personale davvero gentilissimo. È localizzato lontano dal centro storico di Manila (Intramuros) ma nella zona fancy della città, vicino a bar e ristoranti. C’è un 7/11 proprio dietro l’angolo. Ci sono anche dei tenerissimi gattini!!! 🐱 super consigliato!!

Cheap,affordable and fairly decent

The room is baking hot. You feel cold as you enter the door, but when you lie in bed, its really really hot 🥵. Need to turn on my handy fan to at least breathe

The hostel staff are super friendly, attentive, and always willing to help with anything you need. The location is convenient, close to the airport, with supermarkets, laundromats, and other essentials nearby. Free bottled water is provided, and there’s an on-site restaurant for those who prefer not to go out for food. The Wi-Fi works well, the beds have curtains for privacy, and lockers are available for valuables. Overall, the price is fair for what’s offered. I would definitely recommend it
