Bed Quality no room view expensive restaurant
Nothing. old and dirty rooms . Me and family has the worst experience.
Wi-Fi connection is very bad No proper parking available Housekeeping is not available in this facility Restaurant food quality is worst Washroom is very dirty with shower not working
Only Location
Very shabby room, stinking rooms and toilets. No value for money. In Pictures looks good but reality very disappointing.
Staff members were very kind
Everything in the hotel was old and dingy
Polite staff clean rooms and reception area. The place is spic and span
The cost of food is a bit high but the quality is great.
The stay was amazing and with top notch hospitality. Especially, moolchand sir, harish sir and the owner Prithviraj. Would definitely recommend this property.
Nice rooms with Balcony and scenic place. Value for money. Manager Harish is so supportive during our stay and breakfast is awesome, Mulchand Bhatnagar is very helpful and he served food with warm & fresh. Nice place and easily accessible to all transportation.
Tissues need to be keep in the room and always we are asking reception for the tissues. Plug adapter needs to be there in the room.
Great and helpful staff, value for money. Our host Moolchand Bhatnagar was helpful throughout the stay.
Place,staff
Breakfast was delayed for 45 minutes, since the booking info was not updated, it caused embarassment to us
Comfortable bed ❤️
Nothing special.
We had an incredible stay at Amar Kothi! The property had a regal charm and was great value for money. Centrally located, it made exploring Udaipur super easy. The staff was warm and cooperative, the place spotless, and the overall vibe was both comfortable and aesthetically beautiful. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the city!
Stay was comfortable and enjoyable.
The property was royal charm, with elegant architecture and heritage-inspired interiors. Set in a peaceful location it was the perfect spot for a relaxing gateway, The staff were warm and attentive, and the owner personally ensured our comfort, adding a special touch to our stay. Our room was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Udaipur and looking for a royal yet homely experience.
We had a very pleasant stay at the hotel. I came with my family just for the weekend. The close proximity to the city, market, ghats and also places like Monsoon Palace and Bahubali hills makes this the perfect accommodation in Udaipur. The staff was very warm and helpful. They guided us with offbeat places to see and restaurants to try. Just one suggestion would be to have cleaner bed linens and deep cleaning of the rooms as there were bindi stuck on mirrors, stains on the towel, pillows and walls. The property is really beautiful to have such issues. But, we had a very comfortable stay otherwise. Big shout out to the kitchen staff and Mulchandji for serving us warm breakfast in the morning.
The staff was extremely welcoming
They donot accept international credit cards which is a big big drawback for international travelers. The worst part is they don’t seem to be hassled by it .
The rooms and the staff were really good. We really appreciated the hospitality and the good handling of our requests.
The bathrooms and rooms could have been a little more cleaner. The property gives out a very rustic and simple kind of vibe, but a little more emphasis on the cleanliness would take it to a different level of awesome stays.
The service was exceptional, staff was very calm and happy to help. The security guard to the hotel manager everyone is welcoming. Hotel was very clean and comfortable, value for money. For the service i would like to share the incident/ service. I requested reception for the weight machine for baggage as I am traveling by flight. Unfortunately their machine was not working but the staff committed me that he will arrange something And within 30 min. He arranged a weight machine from the neighbour's grocery shop.
Very exquisite look, good example of culture of udaipur
No seperate kitchen for veg and non veg
Breakfast had a very good spread.enjoyed
The location was good. But the room was quiet stuffy. Window opened to walls. So we had to keep the windows shut at all times.
The property is clean & cool. Very polite saff . Overall experience is very fine.
The rooms are clean and good, the interior is good
Everything is just perfect for a stay. Accessibility, Staff, Rooms are quite cozy and clean.
We stayed at amar kothi for 3 days and it was an excellent vibe there for living and we enjoyed it very much the staff was so humble and this hotel is value for money. We got the rooms very clean and breakfast was too tasty and the view we got from the hotel was esthetic.
Liked everything in hotel.
The property is extremely beautiful. We booked the deluxe room and it was clean and aesthetic. The washrooms are clean and the service is very nice. I am really happy with the property. All the popular spots are near and we see the little Pichola lake and city palace view from the terrace. The food was really nice and the breakfast buffet was on point. We can get autos just outside the property and also there is parking available. All in all a perfect stay in Udaipur.
Breakfast was alright.
Bed linen were not spotless. Rooms and bathrooms were not cleaned properly before handing over. Not value for money.
I want to start by saying thank you to Harikishan, Sorabh, and Rosa for making our first trip to Udaipur so memorable! Amar Kothi is a beautiful, historical Haveli in a quiet part of Udaipur right outside of the Old City. As soon as we arrived we were greeted at the door by the hotel’s security guard with a big smile on his face. We immediately felt right at home! Our room was absolutely beautiful and extremely clean. The bed was one of the most comfortable that we’ve slept in while in India. They have a restaurant on-site that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We tried all three multiple times during our stay & loved the different foods. Harikishan & Sorabh were our servers on several occasions, and they made sure we were taken care of! Ask for Harikishan’s spider rolls! These were quite a treat! We will definitely be back to Udaipur one day, and we will plan to stay at Amar Kothi again.
I would not recommend this hotel to anyone Attitude of staff not good
I had booked a deluxe room when we arrived there were no deluxe rooms available The staff told than gave me a room and said the had sprayed pesticide in the lobby not in the room when I asked he confirmed no pesticide was sprayed in the room When we got back at night after sight seeing And went to bed the bedding smelt on pesticide I couldn’t sleep all night when I rang to change the room they couldn’t do it till morning This is when the receptionist told me there were cockroaches and they had spared pesticides in the room and the were sort of rooms
Staff hospitality is great clean and good atmosphere
The breakfast was not a usual buffet as indicated. The staff would bring a couple of dishes to our table. The options were very limited. Nevertheless, the food was good.
The best architectural design. It’s a new hotel but the ambience is so much traditional, the credit goes to Mr. Prithviraj. The location is excellent. The person who was serving the dinner, Mr. Hari Kisan Sharma, took great efforts by arranging a dinner on the terrace under a traditional Rajasthani Chattri with some view of the lake. The food was excellent.
Nothing
Liked the staff. Very much represents the rajasthani hospitality. The staff in the kitchen and restaurant are especially upbeat and serving with a smile. The interior is very beautiful. All spaces are very picturesque and beautifully done. The rooms are spacious and clean. The restaurant was a beautiful space as well. Great furniture, the interior doesn't look cheap. The breakfast was very homely and nice and they served us nicely and asked if we needed something throughout the time we had breakfast. The staff was more than happy to do what we asked for. I really appreciated how clean everything was. Also, the price was reasonable. Usually hotels charge way too much, they overestimate themselves. This place was had the perfect tariff for what it had.
There wasn't already a quilt or blanket in the rooms, we had to call them to give blankets. One room had a kettle the other didn't. Also there wasnt water in the shower on one room because we stayed just one night so we overlooked a few things as we had to leave immediately the next day. We also felt the inconvenience as there were no proper charging plug points. The two we did get were hard to reach behind the side tables and the bed. The lift is a little scary and i think it needs some repair. It doesn't move we got a scare while trying to use it as it didn't move even after the doors being shut.
Amar Kothi in Udaipur is a hidden gem nestled in a stunning location. The hotel offers breathtaking views of the surrounding natural beauty. The rooms are comfortable and well-maintained, with friendly staff providing excellent service. It's a perfect choice for those seeking a tranquil getaway amidst picturesque surroundings.
The roof top view is amazing, and perfect place if you want a quieter stay slightly away from the lake. There is a vehicle rental place just besides the hotel which was a plus
It is a budget hotel not a 3 star hotel as shown in your site. The rooms are big and clean, with comfortable beds. Service needs improvement. Food is average. The breakfast buffet spread is not so good. The restaurant staff Harikishan is too good. Good for budget traveller.
Food is average.
I had a wonderful experience at the Amar kothi. Every staff member I encountered, from the valet to the check- in to the cleaning staff were delightful and eager to help! Thank you! Will recommend to my colleagues
"Great ambiance, well maintained and clean. Good room service and the restaurant food was awesome. All over the best property in Udaipur👌☮️
The location
The washroom, restaurant menu
Location was good, plenty of restaurants around the area. Room was as described, clean neat and comfortable. Restaurant was good nice food and service was very good.
overall nice and clean and reception staff were polite and helpful.
We reached late evening and wanted to order room service since we had driven the whole day. At first no one picked up the call and when they did the options were limited to just jeera rice, mutton curry and one vegetable which also were not very appetising. There was nothing else that I could order and the reason given to me was that the chef wasn’t there ( even boondi raita they said wasn’t possible as they didn’t have boondi ) I found this very odd and strange and not something that I would expect. ( It wasn’t even late night that we were trying to order the food. it was 8.15 pm so very much during dinner time )
The style and decor felt traditional and very pretty. The bed was comfortable and the room spacious. All staff are extremely friendly especially Harikishan the wonderful restaurant manager.
at this time of year, it was a little cold and there was no way of providing heat in the room.
Room services very poor. No attendant was there to carry my luggage to the car while checking out.
Stay was Awsome.... Thanks to your Hospitality.. Great experience....... ☺☺☺
The room size is quite large as I had upgraded with a balcony view. The room was spacious.
Well in winter, room heaters were not there, and this was a terrible experience post-6 pm at the hotel. Washroom was not well maintained. The floor was extremely cold which restricted me to come out of bed due to marble flooring with fewer carpet options.
The pictures we looked on the listing at the time of booking are very beautiful. Some of the design elements used to decorate the property are quite elegant. The staff at the restaurant and housekeeping was helpful. The transport was well organized. The location was convenient.
The current reality and the pictures on listing (probably taken in the past) dont match. The property is not maintained to the level of how it's shown in the pictures. It's a bit run down. The bathroom didn't feel clean. The water clogged in the shower area making it an unpleasant experience to shower.
location
poor service, cold Breakfast, room was not that up to the mark, shower was not working well, TV without setup box.
the lobby was okay
the room was small, there were no toileteries and blankets, the lamp was broken and service was slow. breakfas buffet was meh!! not worth money at all
Breakfast, clean room, staff support, rooftop seating arrangement.
Basic amenities and service to some extent needs to be improved.
It’s conveniently located.
We spotted cockroaches in the bathroom.
The perfect stay in udaipur.. loved it.. the room and corridor are damn beautiful. Car parking available
Little far from chandpole but you can manage from here with scooty.. i will recommended this stay to my friends.
Our Stay at Amar Kothi was very relaxing. It’s a very good hotel with superb room service, spacious room and a fabulous in-house restaurant. I think they should open the restaurant for everyone. Location was easily accessible for cabs.
