Overall we are happy about our stay. There were problems but they were handled well between the hotel and the agency.. Food was cooked well, we will appreciate more variety next visit.

More variety with food will be appreciated. Supplies in the rooms. ..,towels were two bath towels and two floor towels for a family room through out our stay. We were 4guests. Were supposed to have 8 towels two for each person, night and morning. Bath gel was also one per room per night. We ended up using hand soap for bathing.. Except for these things our stay was good. Thank you to everyone who worked hard to make our stay comfortable

I loved the friendly staff, the location of the hotel itself, the gym and the rooftop pool. Upon check in Sphelele the guy at the reception checked us in and told us that we were upgraded from a standard room to an executive one. The excitement was uncontrollable. Tailen then portered us to our room. The room attendant did a great job with our room for the 2 days we were there. It is an old building with a few rusty places but overall, they have great facilities and wonderful staff.

The place is beautiful, the friendliness of the staff makes everything easy. The restaurant is absolutely the best. Everything was exceptional. When we complained about the room we was allocated to another room with no hassle, the front desk team was quick to respond on our problem.

The pillows needs some intervention. They also need to check on furniture once in a while, the first room we got the chair was making squeaky noise when sitting, the bad was making same noise, sagging when sitting on it.

The breakfast was excellent with a very wide choice and a friendly approachable restaurant staff; very clean room. The bed was comfotable though the pillows not suitable for the Adults. The location is in the promixity of town, walking distance to the main supermarkets and restaurants. The hotel does provide lunch and dinner, so if one needs to explore outside restaurants, just take a walk outside the hotel. Wow, an afternoon capuccino and carrot cake was lekker. There is People Mover bus station at very affordable fee around the Hotel for exploring the playground city of Durban. Further Intercape bus office also within reach for those who use public transport for travel to Durban.

The room looked more a single than a double one. The pillows are just too soft for adults; they are suitable for the children. I would advise that a cleaning brush be put in the bathroom for hygienic purpose, not to rely only on house keeping service. I was on the top floor....room ...5, there was a disturbing rattling sound from a next door whenever a door is opened, it makes a disturbing noise. Please look into that; it caused my stay and sleep to be unpleasant.

The place is covered in cockroaches. My kids were so scared we had to leave early, no refund was offered, nothing, no follow up call. We had to drive through the night because the kids were too scared to sleep as a cockroach crawled over my child when she fell asleep.

The room air conditioner was very noisy. Being in Durban where an air con is necessary having the air con on while sleeping wasn’t great. Simple thing to fix though! So disappointed it has not been fixed.

The room was spacious and hygienic.

There was no bottled water for drinking kept in the room. There was only one bottle which was in the bathroom, I drank half of the water and it was not even replaced the following day.

Unfortunately the roof top pool was my only let down , please make it a heated pool the water was ice cold making it uncomfortable to take a nice dip,coz I only took pictures with my feet dip in ice water 🤣….

The rooms are in need of maintenance. While comfortable, the shower kept flooding the bathroom, the seals on the windows were badly coroded and flaking off. There were a few issues where staff cleaned the room, but didn't replace the towels etc.

The cleaning lady threw my clothes on the floor that was on the bed when she made the bed , she could have just put it aside or on the chair. The pillows are not comfortable, to small. Gym facilities has no equipment. Air conditioners are to loud.

The breakfast was great. We had a warm welcome from staff. The place is very neat and beautiful. Like the bedding was clean. Liked the fact that the hotel is a walk away from popular restaurants and the beach. I enjoyed the sea view.

I didn’t like combined bath tub and shower. The curtains are a bit torn and old.

The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. However, I was not happy with the breakfast menu. The standard menu was the same for the four days I was there. They did not have a lot of options like mushrooms, hash browns, and cold ham. The cheese they had was not the best. They only had orange and apple juice, which I do not think was 100% juice. I guess it is not what you'd expect from a 4-star hotel. The thing that upset me the most was the white lady who looked like a supervisor, by the juice stall in front of the swinging double doors, shoving and shouting at an employee, telling him to hurry up. She was wearing a navy skirt and a blue and white shirt. That was the worst experience I have ever had. It was very rude of her to behave like that in front of the customers. For that reason, we will never book that hotel again and will make sure to discourage family and friends from staying there.

Witnessing a supervisor at the juice stall shouting at and shoving an employee was a shocking and unacceptable experience. Due to this hostile work environment and complete lack of professional decency, we will never return to this hotel and will ensure our family and friends avoid it entirely.

In my room there was a loud noise that kept banging as if something heavy was falling, reported the next morning On the 2nd night, I woke up middle of the night with another type of noise , this time it kept banging in the wall, suspecting it was from the room next to the head of the bed. Very disturbing on both nights The was a cockroach climbing up the door inside our room

Warm welcome and accommodating arrangements made with our check-in more than 2 hours earlier, with waiting at the pool area or the patio directed. Our room was clean, cosy, practical and easy to navigate. The iron with ironing board are a welcome convenience. The entire atmosphere is classy and regal, leaving one to feel under dressed when not in formal/smart casual attire (hahaha). The restaurant outdid themselves with every meal made it difficult for us to concede that we had had enough - especially at the breakfast buffets.
