Surya Lagoon Village

Molto carina, siamo stati in questa villetta con tutte le camera a disposizione per noi. Camera molto carina, abbiamo chiesto pure di fare la colazione local, molto piacevole.

La posizione un po scomoda

Eine paradiesische, mit viel Liebe gepflegte Oase mit unglaublich herzlichen Menschen. Schon bei der Ankunft haben wir uns sofort wohlgefühlt. Wir sind waren mit 2 Kindern dort und hatten 2 gegenüberliegenden Zimmern. Die Zimmer sind top sauber, hochwertig ausgestattet und alles funktioniert perfekt: warmes Wasser in der Dusche, individuell regulierbare Klimaanlage – doch am meisten haben wir das Schlafen mit offenem Fenster genossen, geschützt durch Fliegengitter und mit einem Ventilator über uns. Das Bett und die Kissen waren ideal, und die nächtliche Stille ein wahrer Segen nach den lauten Nächten in teureren Strandhotels, in denen wir nie so erholsam geschlafen haben. Mit dem TukTuk zum Strand zu fahren ist völlig unkompliziert, und die Rückkehr zur Villa jedes Mal eine Freude. Besonders aber machen Susil und Sam den Aufenthalt einzigartig: Sie verwöhnten uns mit einem köstlichen Frühstück, und wir hätten auch zu Abend bei ihnen essen können – leider haben wir das erst zu spät erfahren. Wir waren richtig traurig, nach nur zwei Nächten abreisen zu müssen. Rückblickend hätten wir am liebsten unsere gesamten sechs Tage in Nilaveli hier verbracht.

Es gibt rein gar nichts, worüber man hier meckern kann.

Очень аутентичное место, вилла, с просторным садом, по одну сторону раскинулась лагуна где можно поплавать на каяках, с другой стороны, минутах в 10, океан с теплейшей лазурно-голубой водой. Сама вилла интересной архитектуры: чистая, аккуратная, комнаты все красивые. На вилле имеются 2 просторных холла, в одном из них есть библиотека. Огромное спасибо хотелось бы выразить персоналу виллы, Сесилу, он очень помогал нам со всеми вопросами, удивительно добрый и отзывчивый человек. Также огромное спасибо владельцу виллы, который хоть и не находился там во время нашего прибывания, но постоянно был на связи. Огромное вам спасибо, я обязательно вернусь к вам снова)

La pace è location della struttura immersa in un grande spazio verde in riva alla laguna dove ci venivano a trovare pavoni e mucche a pochi mini di tuk tuk dai ristoranti e dalla immensa spiaggia. Gentilissimi i ragazzi che gestiscono la villa e che ci hanno fornito tutte le informazioni possibili per rendere le nostre giornate le più piacevoli.

Es war sehr familiär.

La habitación estaba limpia y el baño también. Se encuentra a 15min andando a la playa. Pudimos alquilar una moto con ellos para poder desplazarnos. Puedes contratar con ellos excursiones

El primer día el desayuno estuvo muy bien, pero el segundo no nos pusieron ni la mitad de cosas que el primero. Nos cobraron una tasa que no esperábamos.

La casa è molto bella, bell’arredamento, camere confortevoli, bel bagno. Ottima pulizia e personale gentilissimo. buona e abbondante colazione (anche se sempre uguale x 4 giorni)

Una villa immersa nel verde,una casa di campagna arredata con gusto e curata! Il personale gentile e sorridente,la stanza pulita e un bagno meraviglioso! Ci è piaciuto tutto! Colazione eccellente ! Tornerei ancora qui! Ci hanno anche permesso di lavare i nostri vestiti e di stenderli al sole! Grazie per questo soggiorno ci siamo sentiti a casa

La camera è ampia e bella. Il personale, Shiyam e Sam sono stati molto gentili e disponibili. La colazione buona e super abbondante. È un po' isolata ma con il tuk tuk o una macchina si arriva ovunque. È super calmo e lontano dal caos. A 10/15 minuti a piedi c'è la spiaggia libera. Bella anche la laguna.

We really enjoyed our stay at this spacious villa. The room was large and comfortable, and the whole property feels like a big farm with plenty of open space. t feels nicely quiet and secluded, yet the beach is only about 20 minutes away. A perfect place to relax and enjoy the calm atmosphere.

The only small downside is that it’s a bit far from the town and restaurants, but if you don’t mind the distance, it’s a great place to relax.

Immersa nella natura, molto silenziosa e rilassante. Facilmente raggiungibile la spiaggia in pochi minuti di tuk tuk.

La camera non è stata pulita il secondo giorno. In bagno mancavano shampoo e balsamo.

La quiete. Un po’ decentrata ma assolutamente confortevole e pulita. Con il tuk tuk si possono raggiungere spiagge deserte o attrezzate di tutto. Staff gentile e sempre pronto a soddisfare ogni esigenza. Colazione abbondante e buona!

Friendly staff, big and comfortable room. Ideal for people that looking to stay away from crowds and big hotels. Few minutes away from the beach with a tuk tuk.

There was an issue with the electricity during the night. The a/c stopped working when other electrical devices were charging and vice versa. We ended up charging our devices with a powerbank.

The property is lovely, thoughtfully restored and comfortable. Our room was very spacious and a nice space to relax. Quiet and a little away from the main Nilaveli strip, being lagoon side. We had rented a scooter so no issues getting about. We didn't interact much with the on site staff but they were kind, and Fazil, the owner, was responsive on WhatsApp and promptly helped us out with any questions. Also decent breakfast coffee!

We missed roti and hoppers at breakfast, so it would be nice if that were an option instead of toast.

Very safe, it is very quiet and at a great spot. Nice team and nice taste of furniture. Healthy, tasty and light rice and curry

We were at Surya Lagoon for 3 nights in April 2025 and had a wonderful stay. The villa, originally built end of the 50's, has been beautifully renovated while preserving its original features and is on a huge plot of land with the lagoon on one side and the Trinco-Pullmudai road on the other. It is about 15 mins walk to Nilaveli Beach Hotel/Pigeon Island where our dive shop was, so was a perfect location. But, you could get to the main beach strip and even Irrakandy bridge in a tuk easily. There are 5 en suite rooms and common areas including our favourite, the dinning area set in a semi-open space overlooking the back yard. The manager, Shiyam and Samar, the caretaker/cook, were fantastic and along with the owner who was always available through WhatsApp, helped make our stay very comfortable. We loved waking up to the sounds of the birds and also being greeted by their resident rescue dogs and overall were very happy with our stay. Thank you so much for having us.

Very spacious, clean and well decorated villa located in 2 min drive from the beach with a large garden with a lake access. A lot of beautiful birds around. Very quiet with all the nature sounds at night. Staff is very attentive and welcoming. Cooked us nice breakfast every morning. We really enjoyed staying here!

Everything was great, we really loved spending the time here in a very relaxing mode. Rooms are beautiful, The staff is very welcoming and kind, breakfast really good, you can rent motorbike there.

Had the whole property to ourselves, great rooms with comfy bed and very clean. Staff were very helpful.

Fazil is a very accommodating host, we had to check out early and he accommodated us without any problems. Communication was always very quick and uncomplicated, even though he is in America. His hosts are also extremely accommodating and very nice. The breakfast is plentiful and very, very tasty. Here we had the first very tasty filter coffee in Sri Lanka. The two dogs and the cat are also very friendly. The accommodation is a bit out of the way, but on the main road. It is still very quiet at night. If you are looking for a quiet place, this is the place for you.

Sigiriya was our last stop in Sri Lanka after four weeks of holidays with our three children, and we could not thought of a better place to finish our trip. The place is very comfortable, has a beautiful view on the lion rock, and is SO quiet! That is exactly what we wanted! Plus, Suriya and his lovely family welcomed us as we were part of them. We instantly felt a connexion with them and our children loved the stay there. As a bonus, the breakfast is absolutely amazing such whatever our hosts cooked ☺️

All I can say is wow. One of the best places we have stayed during our 2 month travel in Sri Lanka. Unfortunately I had become very unwell during this time but there was no better place to recover. The accommodation was stylish, luxurious and we relaxed immediately upon arrival. Exploring the old coconut farm, lagoon and finding coconut crab shells was such an adventure for my four year old (and the adults also)! The beaches are accessible by Tuk tuk or scooter (the staff on-site helped us organise these), and were the best beaches we saw during our stay. The water was warm, calm and beach lovers bar is a MUST! The staff on site were above and beyond accommodating. My daughter immediately trusted them and found friendship. The chef was warm, kind and cooked exceptional breakfasts. The tame peacocks on the property are a bonus!
