El alojamiento esta bien situado. Estaba limpio y el personal es amable. La habitación privada es espaciosa y cómoda tienes todo lo necesario.

El ruido da igual día que noche que la música o las voces no permiten descansar. Aunque hay horario de silencio no se respeta, la gente grita por las escaleras, llega bajo los efectos del alcohol se arman escándalos y el personal no hace nada. Solo es útil si tu plan es salir de fiesta. Están un poco anticuadas las instalaciones. La piscina es demasiado pequeña y esta sucia tiene un color verde desagradable.

Located in General Luna close to Cloud 9, it hits the sweet spot between an energetic, social atmosphere and a relaxed, comfortable home base. There is always something happening here, with daily and nightly activities that make it impossible to feel bored. The common area—especially around the swimming pool and the volleyball court—is the heart of the hostel and makes meeting fellow travelers completely effortless. The entire staff is incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive, but a huge special shoutout goes to Sri. Sri went above and beyond to make everyone feel right at home from day one, bringing unbeatable high energy to every activity.

Es súper social, te pasas todo el rato conociendo gente! A parte, está al lado de cloud 9 y a 10 minutos en moto de general luna. Me encantó, me lo pasé genial en las noches de animaciones y conocí muchísima gente.

No debrian cobrar el coworking a los huéspedes, yo me quedé un mes y tuve que pagar 35 euros. Y las almohadas son completamente finas, es un poco incómodo.

Nice instalations but the higher note is for the staff they were amazing, realy friendly and wiiling to help with any thing you may need. I´ts a place were I definitely would like to stay if ever comming back to Siargao

Bathrooms were dirty and the whole vibe was messy

I missed the feeling of like being in a community in the hostel, the events were more party based which is fine but i think if y’all add some other events to really bring each other together the hostel will grow even more! - hostel dinner - event once a month or every 2 weeks or every week and bringing everyone together for like a bonfire or island tour

It was comfortable, pillows were nice and I had a good sleep. There was a light and plug sockets and a curtain in your bed.

Our key fobs were not working which meant people kept on leaving the doors of the rooms open. Other people are always the issue and some people clearly hadn’t stayed in a hostel before and were talking full volume at 5am and then kept on coming in after 11pm turning on the big light (not the hostels fault). I was poorly when I arrived and asked for another blanket as it was freezing in the room and it seemed like this was a big ask. It also seemed quite clicky and there was apparently a rep of the hostel but I was there for 5 days and didn’t feel included and it didn’t feel like the most social hostel I’ve stayed in. You need a bike if you want to get around, but there are tuk tuks outside the hostel to get you around if needed.

Good location and nice common area. That’s about it.

I booked this hostel because I wanted to try staying in one for the first time, but it turned out to be my worst accommodation experience. The room had bed bugs, and I woke up covered in bites all over my body. I reported it, but they only moved me to another room a few hours later after I couldn’t take the itching anymore. Moving me to another room wasn’t enough after I’d already been bitten dozens of times. I ended up celebrating my birthday covered in itchy bites. Bed bugs are a serious hygiene issue, and this should never happen.

Great vibe, very comfortable and a good happy hour. The head rep Jay is also drop dead gorgeous

The showers need a face lift

Das ist das beste hostel in dem ich je war! Hier hat alles gepasst. Die Zimmer sind super und das Bett ist groß genug, dass man auch noch seine Klamotten am Rand lagern kann. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich das Personal von Rucksack. Jeder ist unfassbar lieb. Ein besonderes Lob gebe ich joy! Sie war stets bemüht die Social Events zu organisieren.

I wasn’t able to understand the whole hype of the island for my first day not until I started to feel warmth and welcoming from the hostel staffs and other guests in the hostel, shout out to all the volunteers bryson, joy and their amazing host jay! You never failed to make me feel like rucksack is my home and the cabrones crews who would always accommodate me during my breakfast and all the funny stories to tell. The amazing front desk and cleaning crew caren rose and joy that loved me even though I keep borrowing the scissors everyday 😂😂 and to that night shift staffs as well that never forgets to talk with me after a night out the girl with the red hair and the guys in the hostel were very sweet to me. HUGE SHOUTOUT to kuya guard I forgot his name but his shift is usually 5am to 7am kuya big boy he’s so understanding and like a father to us when we make noises past 10pm HAHA ❤️ I never regretted my stay in rucksack I left cebu with a broken hearted but left siargao with a healed one all thanks to rucksack family ❤️

Me gusto las habitaciones, el personal en general espectacular y la amibilidad y predisposición.

No me gustó, que cuando venían a limpiar, solo era esparcir lo que barrían, el poco respeto de la gente que comparte la habitación, y un camarero con el pelo rubio, que no trataba a la gente como es debido.

It was a bit dirty, rooms and toilets should have been cleaned more frequently. I also stayed a week, sheet change at some point would have been nice.

The staff there is so incredibly friendly. The volunteer Evi makes sure everybody feels comfortable and has a great time at the evening activities!!

Für ein Hostel in den Philippinen gut. Sehr social. Gute better mit eigenem platz. Duschen auch warmwasser. Nähe Cloud 9. einige restaurants und Kaffees zufuss erreichbar.

Beautiful and modern Hostel, the pool is cool, the restaurant is nice to hang out. The dorms are comfortables.

The people here to create the hostel atmosphere are inexistant (they have some but we never see them) The toilets of dorms are not cleaned regularly The locker is not practical

Damp smelly room, wet dirty floor everyday, damp walls and windows with condensation every morning, poor ventilation. Everyone in my room became unwell from the damp air. Loud common area. No towel available until my 3rd day. Rusty, dirty/dusty shower cubicles and toilets.

Good dark room. Privacy guaranteed.

Party hostel.

Wenn man viele, junge Menschen kennenlernen will und keine Ruhe, sondern Action will, ist man hier genau richtig. Es ist rund um die Uhr was los — man geht jeden Abend mit Allen in verschiedenste Clubs und es gibt immer was zu tun. Untertags kann man am Pool chillen und Volleyball spielen. Die Zimmer sind toll. Ich hatte das 4er Zimmer mit privaten Bad — Wenn man also nicht so auf viele Leute im Dorm steht, kann man bisschen mehr Geld das volle Hostel Leben genießen, aber trotzdem genügend Privatsphäre und Komfort erleben. Ich empfehle es auf jeden Fall weiter.

Wenn man nicht auf Trubel und Action steht, sollte man hier auf keinen Fall herkommen. Wirklich ruhig is es hier nicht. Außerdem muss man damit rechnen, dass jeden Tag Unmengen an Alkohol getrunken werden.

Die Sauberkeit entsprach leider nicht den Erwartungen. Obwohl wir ein Privatzimmer hatten, wurden Handtücher sowie Fussmatten während unseres fünftägigen Aufenthalts kein einziges Mal gewechselt, was aus unserer Sicht bei dieser Aufenthaltsdauer angemessen gewesen wäre. Stattdessen wurde täglich der Mülleimer kontrolliert, offenbar um zu überprüfen, ob im Zimmer gegessen wurde. In solchen Fällen wird eine Gebühr von 5000 Pesos erhoben. Zudem kam es zu einer unangenehmen Situation: Aufgrund meiner Periode wurde das Bettlaken leicht verschmutzt. Dafür wurden zunächst 3000 Pesos verlangt. Nach längerer Diskussion wurde der Betrag auf 1000 Pesos reduziert, obwohl das Laken unabhängig davon ohnehin gereinigt werden müsste und die Matraze nicht beschädigt wurde. Dies empfand ich als unangemessen, da die bei normalem waschen raus geht und nicht eine extra Einzelreinigung benötigt. Darüber hinaus war die Lärmbelastung erheblich, da täglich von 10 Uhr morgens bis Mitternacht sehr laute Musik gespielt wurde.

La ubicación es buena y las camas muy cómodas. Genial para conocer a gente y estar bien ubicado en General Luna.

I liked the bed /shower in the room. I had a four person room I would highly recommend it was very nice to stay in very spacious I slept very well!

The kitchen facilities were mentioned but actually they were more for the permanent residents and very very dirty not usable I put food in the fridge but it was extremely dirty. Also I would have liked more seating areas than just the bar area as it could be very loud and busy so there was no where to sit other than the pool.

La construcción del hostel hace que sea muy fácil conocer gente. La zona social está justo en el centro lo que hace que siempre te cruces con nuevas personas

To rent a motorbike is quite slow, I woke up 6:30am ready to explore and open only at 9am, you fill up a form and pay, something the girl from reception could do it.

this is the largest hostel in siargao so there’s plenty of people to meet. the bunks are good and feel very private. staff and volunteers are lovely too especially Noah!

the outsourced restaurant within the hostel seems to be running rather inefficiently

Rucksack Siargao honestly felt like a home away from home. I stayed here while travelling solo and couldn’t have asked for a better place to land. The vibe is so welcoming, social without being overwhelming, and it makes meeting people feel natural and easy. Huge shoutout to Beth, Theo, and Lanie, you guys are absolute gems! You truly made travelling alone not feel lonely at all. From the little chats, laughs, and check-ins to making everyone feel included, you really set the tone for the whole place. If you’re coming to Siargao solo (or even with friends) and want somewhere that feels warm, fun, and full of good energy, this is it. Will 100% stay here again.

No power outlets at the common lounge. would have been a great place to work too for nomads like me.

Best place in Siargao to stay if you look for a social and good vibes hostel! Bathroom in-room and amazings matress.

My stay at Rucksack was great. There was always something going on, from fun volleyball games to nightly entertainment provided by Beth, which brought people together and created a very social atmosphere. Andrea at reception really stood out as well, going the extra mile to make my stay memorable with her fantastic service and great energy.

I had a great time staying at Rucksack Inn Siargao. The location is great, close enough to everything in but still calm and relaxed, so you actually get good sleep. The vibe is social without being chaotic, which made it easy to meet people. The staff were honestly one of the highlights. Everyone was welcoming and helpful. A special shoutout to Ella! She made sure everyone felt included and comfortable. She really helped me out! If you need any kind of help, you can always turn to her☺️ The rooms and common areas were clean, well maintained, and thoughtfully set up. The beds were comfortable (they have curtains!) and the shared spaces were great for chilling, chatting, or planning trips. They also have a volleyball court and a pool! They also had different activities every evening at the hostel. Scooter rental, island tips, and activity recommendations were all easy to arrange through the hostel. You can also book the airport transport through the hostel. If you’re coming to Siargao and want good energy, friendly people, and a well-run hostel, this is definitely the place!

I liked the relaxed, friendly atmosphere, the clean and comfortable rooms, and how social the common areas were—it was easy to meet other travelers. The staff were welcoming and helpful, and the location was convenient for exploring Siargao while still feeling chill and laid-back.
