Reviewed Nov 9, 2025We had a 3 week+ stay waiting for the arrival of our first grandchild. Mariëlle was a most kind and helpful host. Mariëlle even gave the baby a sweet little gift when he eventually arrived!
It is pitch black dark in the alley between the buildings to the door at night... a light would be great. With such a long stay, the cooking options became quite inadequate. But we managed OK with a bit of inventiveness from Albert Heijn and Casa di Papi around the corner!

Reviewed Jul 31, 2025L' ottima posizione centrale ma tranquilla. La parte superiore spaziosa, luminosa, molto confortevole e arredata con molto buon gusto. La camera giù silenziosa e accogliente per un' ottima qualità del sonno. La scala per salire non è stato assolutamente un problema pur essendo noi una coppia ultrasettantenne. Il bagno con ottimi prodotti però un po' piccolo. Grazie a Sandra per la simpatia e che ci ha accolto bene prima dell' ora del check in!

Reviewed May 12, 2025A lovely apartment in the outskirts of Amsterdam which was nice to escape the crowds, close to many restaurants in Haarlem which is such a cute town with its own canals. The apartment had plenty of space and lots of light, and everything we needed to make simple meals/snacks.

Reviewed Jun 8, 2024It is in a good location. We walked around town every day. It was only a few minutes walk to restaurants, stores, the canal, and interesting places to visit. I liked the kitchen. We bought food for breakfast and to make sandwiches. Then we enjoyed the local restaurants for our other meals. Haarlem was so nice. It wasn’t as crowded as Amsterdam.
The stairs in the apartment are typical Dutch stairs. They are steep. They do have a handrail, so that was nice.
