Location is good. We did not eat or drink at the hotel.

We were in room 6 and what an stunning room as it is north facing, spacious, neat and excellent service

Nothing - in terms of accommodation our bedding were 2 single beds pushed together which was not so comfortable and the bed was extremely soft… but everything else was exceptional.

The rooms were spacious and comfortable. It was a cold day, the room was adequately warmed with a fire and heaters. the staff was very sweet and helpful;. The supper was great.

Toilet had no ventilaton The rooms were very far from the reception. They need to have a golf cart for guests with mobility challenges.

Excellent location and onsite restaurant. The staff are really exceptional.

Bathroom is ice cold. Heating is very poor in the room.

Bathroom well lit but extremely cold, the actual shower was physically cold, Placement of shower head not ideal. Consider packing in your bathrobes from home - it will make all the difference, especially negotiating the bathroom. The placement of skylight in the bedroom can be troublesome, for couples looking to sleep a little later. It would be great to have the option to black it out, for late sleeping guests, the natural light during the day is lovely though.

Het was nog fris dus houd daar rekening mee. Wel heaters en open haard in de kamers.

Quiet location, exceptional staff, excellent food, a bar and restaurant with great ambiance and a large room suite with a fireplace.

Roaring fireplace, hot water, and excellent service. Huge wine and whisky lists and super cosy restaurant/bar. Lovely grounds for a stroll. They even went out of their way to find us a TV box so that we could watch a FIFA World Cup match in our room by the fire!

Only one minor issue would be there was no alternative heating method in the room, and although there was an electric blanket, it meant the room was rather cold in the morning.

Always a delight to stay at The Highlander. Beautiful, comfortable, warm rooms. Great attention to detail. Cosy bar and elegant restaurant.

husband said a draught beer machine would have been nice and maybe an hour fishing at the dam. Spa was a bit of a let down, that can be worked on a bit more

Real milk to go with the sachets of coffee and tea and at least a bottle of water would go a great way to make one feel a bit more at home. Some TV instructions will be great.

In room service was below par. We ordered oxtail, salad & cheese platter. Food was presented with 2 x Fork & Knife but there was no spoon to dish oxtail onto rice, there was no side plates for mains & cheese platter, no knives for the cheese platter. It was a very disappointing moment

We had an excellent experience at this accommodation. The facilities were outstanding - well maintained, comfortable, and thoughtfully set up. Everything was clean and met a high standard. Our overall stay was enjoyable. The attention to detail and quality of service really stood out, creating a welcoming and professional environment. We would highly recommend this venue and would gladly return.

Great hotel ! Our room was perfect, the staff was nice and we had a great dinner in the hotel's restaurant. Dullstrom is a cute little town.

Stairs from bedroom to toilet is a hazard at night. Maybe auto sensor lighting would help. One of our guests fell and broke their shoulder ruined our golf trip

We enjoyed every minute of our stay here. The staff are exceptional, polite and helpful. The food was lovely. Our room was large comfortable, beautifully decorated, with a lovely balcony to sit on to enjoy the view. We will definitely be back !

Ligging van hotel op route van J’burg naar Kruger/Panoramaroute. Grote, ietwat gedateerde kamer. Prima restaurant met mooie (whisky)bar.

Wifi op de kamer deed het niet en er werd, ondanks toezegging om ernaar te kijken, niets aan gedaan. Zou in deze tijd toch makkelijk op te lossen moeten zijn met hotspots of versterkers.

A comfortable, easy accessible room with everything that is needed for a stayover. Excellent and friendly staff. Superb food with excellent waiters who like to spoil their customers. David is a knowledgeable, friendly and humoristic waiter.

There was a problem with the power that dropped numerous times and no one came with a light of some kind or asked if we were okay.

The great service, spacious room and fireplace made it the cosiest solo stay. Staff was always attentive and on hand to start up the fires daily. Bonus is the Spa 😍

Sinceramente não tenho pontos negativos sobre o hotel! Único ponto negativo seria com relação a cidade rs, que os restaurantes e bares não abrem domingo, e fecham muito cedo!

The property needs a upliftment - looking tired and old. For the price one would expect breakfast to be automatically included vs an option.

The Highlander is a beautiful hotel, with all the amenities you could want. The room we had was luxurious and the restaurant and little whisky bar were amazing as well. Enjoyed the space of coziness of the room.

The staff a reception could have been more friendly. Additionally the hotel is very much in the middle of town, so if you're someone who would like some seclusion, take that into account.
