Adorable little container house

Location was good - far enough away from town to be quiet but close enough that if you forgot something or commuted in it was only a small drive.

Didn't realise how small the shower was. very very small for anyone who is tall or large.

Beds very comfortable, everything supplied that you could need. Shampoo and conditioner lovely

Communication with the host was timely, easy and friendly - Fiona accepted our request for an early check in so that we could get ready for an event beginning on the afternoon we arrived. The house had everything you'd need for a private, comfortable and convenient stay. The beds and pillows were super comfortable. Everything was clean, tidy and uncluttered. There was plenty of parking right next to the house. The large deck was perfect for a lazy afternoon/evening in the sun. An added bonus was the beautiful landscaping which attracted the native birds. Highly rated our stay at the adorable little container house! A+ experience.

As per the hosts description, the shower is VERY small. The other comforts of our stay outweighed this minor inconvenience.

The location was amazing, not too far from town but felt like you were far away in peace. The host/owner was lovely. Definitely recommend the stay.

If you're a larger person, the shower will not be suitable however the pressure was amazing.

Best property we've stayed at in a while. Sure, the bedrooms are small, but we knew that going in, it is a container home after all. Not much room for suitcases/the hang clothes but perfect for a short stay. The beds were exceptionally comfy (I have a creaky middle aged back and usually rental beds are an issue for me). I slept like a log with no aches and pains in the morning. Thank you!!!! Very clever layout to the place which maximises the available space. Bathroom quite narrow but again this was to be expected.. Shower itself was good. Comfy sofa. TV etc and a good location for the event we were attending. Great host, very helpful in the run up to check in (which was super easy), but didn't intrude once we were there. We will definitely be back!

Honestly, it was great. Maybe better signposted from the main road? Our cab shot past and the turn off was hard to find in dark. But other than that, can't fault the place

The property owner was very helpful with providing information about the property including the location. The layout was surprisingly spacious, modern, clean comfortable and functional.

beds are so tall I had to climb up into it and had no chance of walking around. Welcome book giving WiFi password etc well presented but black folder left on black mat under a black TV. I dont watch TV so didn't notice it until leaving. Bit draughty and couldn't work out how to lock ranchslider. Shower super small

Lovely couple who owned the place. They were very welcoming and I am sure would have helped me if I had needed anything. Generally, the place was clean and felt pleasant to stay in.

The only thing was that there was no hob, and so I have to rethink the meal I had planned. The bed was a little soft for me but others might like that.

Quality furnishings/linen and well stocked with kitchen and bathroom items. Perfect size for solo traveller. Much nicer and comfortable than a motel room.

Super comfortable beds. Secluded quiet location. More than suitable for two friends travelling and staying for one night. The heat pump (aircon) was much appreciated. The windows all had mesh covers which meant they could be opened without fear of bugs - ace. Really interesting unit made up of shipping containers. Great friendly hosts with very good communications before the booking.

The shower is very small and a 6ft person would struggle to shower comfortably. We were two friends travelling together and each took a bedroom and the beds are plush and comfortable, however the rooms are small, so if there were two adults staying in each bedroom along with luggage etc. it could be tight. The property would be difficult to find in the dark if you arrive at night for the first time. The instructions provided were great, but the Lane that the house is down does not appear on Waze navigation so we had to resort to google satellite images to figure it out. Found it eventually!

The tiny home was quite spacious and very well thought out. Everything you could need was provided, the host was lovely, and the space was very clean and stylish.

We loved this property and, although it’s small, the carefully considered design and all the thoughtful touches make for a really comfortable and relaxing stay. Everything is of a high quality and the beds, and bedding, are terrific. Owners are lovely and on hand if you need anything. The location is a little out of town, but that means it’s so quiet and tranquil. We sat out on the deck in the evening listening to and watching the fantails and other birds right next to us in the trees, which was magical. A truly exceptional place.

I am not a very tall person and had a real problem getting into the bed. Once I got there it was ok very comfortable, but it was to high. The rest of it was wonderful just wish we had stayed and sat outside instead of going out for dinner it was such a beautiful setting. We will book again in the near future

A very cosy, comfortable country cottage. The location was close to Hastings, but truly rural. Will definitely stay here on my next visit to Hastings.

Finding the laneway entrance from the main road in the dark.

The container house has been my favourite stay. A little on the expensive side but so worth every cent of it.
