VIENTO RedHouse Melaka by Rest Collection

It’s quite central location and it’s walking distance to all the major sights to see in the city (not that the city is massive..) and my favorite part of the stay is that they had a projector in the room 🫶🏽 and it was sooooo nice watching a movie, falling asleep in bed after a long day!

The noise insulation between the rooms are non existent and I woke up in middle of the night to these cackling, laughing noise and I had to call the front desk (it was 2am). The sheets and towels seemed bit old.. and the pillows are not the best. Since it’s in the heritage area, the cars can’t go to the front of the hotel and you do have to carry your luggage and walk a small distance (in the heat)

The staff is very friendly. The welcome drink is very nice. The location is good. The room is clean. Thanks to the staff who man the VR room. She was very patient and tried her best to meet my child's request.

One of the game in the VR room is faulty. Needs maintenance and we could not play.

Un coup de coeur. Cet hôtel est tout ce que nous avons aimé cest propre atypique bien placé le personnel est au petit soin. Cest d'écouter avec goût dans un esprit de wellness. Nous avons adoré. Avec le toboggan dans la chambre en bonus... cetait la cerise sur le gâteau...

I love how conveniently located the hotel is, just a short walk from Jonker Street. It was so easy for us to walk to the night market, and we actually went there both nights! Another thing I really loved was how new and clean the hotel is. The toilet, in particular, looked really new and well-maintained. The staff were super friendly and helpful too. Overall, we had a great stay and really enjoyed our experience here!

Even though the room is quite spacious, there was no table or chair, which I found a little inconvenient. It would be great to have a small table and chair, especially for doing makeup, as it was quite troublesome having to do everything at the sink area. Secondly, I didn’t expect the room to have a projector instead of a TV, as the room description mentioned a TV. Thankfully, the projector quality was actually quite good! However, it was a little inconvenient when we needed to access things from the cupboard, as we had to carefully dodge around the projector screen whenever it was switched on.

Cet hôtel est juste.. Waouh!!! Notre plus bel hôtel de Malaisie. Pour les enfants il est top avec vidéoprojecteur, salle de jeu VR, toboggans dans certaines chambres... Le personnel est adorable, la chambre moderne est ultra confortable ! Ça a été la dernière nuit de notre voyage et on aurait voulu rester plus longtemps dans cet hôtel ! De plus, l'emplacement est super!

Such a comfy, cosy room. Clean and all we needed. It was lovely to relax here. The staff were so welcoming and kind ☺️. Next time we are in Melaka we will stay here.

The room design is very hotel like. I imagined they retained the Peranakan design since it is within the vicinity of the main Peranakan location.

Lo scivolo in camera per mio figlio più piccolo che lo ha adorato, struttura centralissima, silenziosa, pulita e staff gentile.

Un pò scomoda per le valigie, non ha armadio e poco spazio per metterne 3 essendo in 4 persone ma per una notte come noi o 2 essendo centralissimo va benone.

Véritable petit écrin douillet, dans une rue assez calme bien qu'à 300 m à pied du centre historique de Malacca. Hôtel plein de charme et personnel très accueillant et attentionné. Très bonne literie, état de la chambre impeccable, petite bouilloire, tasses, petit frigidaire pour y rafraichir quelques bouteilles d'eau bienvenues, et autres "amenities" d'usage. Limonade de bienvenue offerte à l'arrivée, délicieuse !

Quelques accroches ou crochets seraient bienvenus afin de pouvoir suspendre quelques affaires dans la chambre, mais à part cela rien à dire !

- Erstes Zimmer hat sehr stark nach neu gelegtem Silikon oder Farbe gerochen, ich habe einen Luftfilter erhalten und konnte am nächsten Tag das Zimmer wechseln. Wie man ein solchen Zimmer vermieten kann ist mir schleierhaft. - Abfluss in der Dusche im zweiten Zimmer hat nicht richtig funktioniert, sodass man dss Wasser abstellen musste um das Badezimmer nicht zu überschwemmen. - Preis / Leistungsverhältnis stimmt meiner Meinung nach nicht. - Sehr Unflexibel bezüglich Änderungsanfrage, eine kostenlose Stornierung und Neubuchung hätte das Problem gelöst.

We had such a wonderful stay at Viento Redhouse Melaka! ❤️ The location is super strategic—it’s within walking distance to most of the tourist attractions, so you barely need to drive. We even took the Melaka River Cruise and hopped off at the jetty right in front of the hotel, which was incredibly convenient. The hotel itself is absolutely Instagram-worthy. Every corner deserves a spot on your camera roll! There are also plenty of food options nearby, making it easy to grab a meal anytime. The staff were all very friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. One thing that really stood out was the arts & crafts corner for both kids and adults—a thoughtful touch to keep everyone entertained. Our room met all our expectations. It was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. A special thank you to the team for the beautiful birthday decoration they prepared for my mom. It truly made her day extra special, and we really appreciated the effort. We genuinely enjoyed our stay and are already looking forward to coming back. Next time, I’d love to book the Family Room! I read so many great reviews saying it’s worth every penny, and that definitely makes me even more excited to return. I also noticed that the hotel is working on opening a restaurant. Hopefully it’ll be ready by our next visit because I’d love to try the food too! Definitely coming back again. Highly recommended! ⭐️

Nothing much. Private Parking is a 3-4 mins walk away from the hotel, but it is safe as a police quarters is just opposite. A swimming pool would be better, heard they are building an extension of the hotel and building a pool also!

The key importance was cleanliness as other hotels that we saw were not decently clean. Also, the way how the hotel renovated the old red shophouses was a unique experience. Overall, the kids were excited with the stay and my girl enjoyed pampering herself in the big tub.

I realized that the walls were a little thin and sound proofing was not excellent. Other rooms had slides & we could hear children running around. But fortunately, the noise died down after 11pm. The air-conditional was excellent but the low vibration or 'rumble' can be quite disturbing for some.

It is a kids friendly hotel. There are playgrounds in their own hotel room so expected noisy level 10/10. Parents shouting at their kids at our room door etc....For guest who doesn't like noise pollution can look for other place.

Location was very central, close to Jonker street. We booked the family slide deluxe suite, which was great. The kids enjoyed it thoroughly. Service was good. They gave us a welcome drink and a free Viento tote bag.

Similar to other reviews, it is true that soundproofing is an issue. Our room was on the first floor so a lot of people walked past it. We could hear people walking and talking, and could also hear the footsteps from the room above us. Note that there is no natural sunlight window. There are windows but facing/opening towards internal hotel walkway which are covered by curtains. Wasn’t a big issue for us since we only stayed one night.

So pretty the interior design. The room looks exactly like advertised
