The Riad has four floors, plus a terrace, nice decorations, a cozy atmosphere, and looks great at first sight, but it's not at all what it seems. Inside, there are 24-hour security, cafes, and restaurants.
The hotel doesn't have good ventilation. Marrakech is so hot that it feels like a sauna inside. You have to climb a lot of stairs every time you go up and down. The rooms have small windows. Only two rooms have air conditioning, but we get sick if we use it all night. So we can't sleep. One night, we had to go downstairs and sleep in the living area, but it wasn't very comfortable. The owner doesn't speak English. She only speaks French, so she didn't tell us the swimming pool was closed every Friday and finally we couldn't use it for two days.
Puntualmente nosotros no tuvimos buena experiencia.
Host was erg vriendelijk.
Merci
The host was wery kind , even thoug she dosent speak english we write to each other and we understood each other wery well . Good locatin 30 min walk from the medina . Location with security . The public pool was good not wery crowded
The view from the roof top was not as I aspected but a goid spot for sun bathing a smol inconvenient was that the aircoditioner in the living dosend work Over all a god place to stai for the money
Around 25min walk from Jema el Fnaa but we really liked that it was just outside the Medina Wall. The walk to the centre was not very scenic and sometimes a bit chaotic. It's a big beautiful Riad, with a lovely sweet welcoming host. It was a bit hard to communicate sometimes but she was very genuine and patient.
Sometimes there was a bit of a sewer smell, which is I suspect is probably common in many houses there. And unfortunately for us our neighbours were being very loud, renovating their house in the middle of the night and a child crying very often, very loudly. Other than that we liked it a lot. One thing that would make the Riad even nicer, is some chairs on the roof terrace to relax a bit :)
clean and pleasent. quiet and private.
Spacious, plenty of space and bathrooms. The terrace/rooftop was lovely to dry clothes on. Close to a mosque. Supermarket / restaurants/ cafes etc everything nearby. Very helpful to have a ATM machine in the complex that has free cash withdrawals for many cards like Revolut. Security is good. Quiet residential area. AC and TV stopped working one night due to an electrical fault. The host called an electrician very quickly to get it sorted.
We were moved from one riad to another due to an apparent leak. New riad was beautiful but work was incomplete and not entirely ready for guests to be moved into. The drainage for the showers wasn't very good. Water gathered and went down very slowly. No AC in one of the rooms. There are three showers. However if more than one person had a shower at the same time, the water would go cold. No where to hang clothes or towels. Floor was dirty.
Very good location next to old city wall. Parking on the street by riad. Very safe and beautiful place. Very clean. 3 bedrooms each with batroom (3 bathrooms). Beautifull terrace with view on the old city. Washing mashine and all things in kithcen. Beautifull and very spacious living room. You can use swimming pool in the common area. Good wiifi.
This was a large riad which was in a complex just outside the medina. The complex had a swimming pool, parking and affordable shops and cafes which was ideal for us travelling as a family of 2 adults and 2 teenagers. The riad was very spacious, clean and comfortable. It was extremely hot but the air conditioning worked well in all three bedrooms. It was a real novelty that we all had our own bathrooms! The swimming pools were great to cool down in and although busy were not over whelming.
The kitchen was a little short on utensils ie. a colander and corkscrew and when we came back in the evenings there were cockroaches in the living area, kitchen and downstairs toilet. It would have been nice to have seating on the upstairs terrace.
Host was very helpful and nice. Spacious, if you're less than six people.
You ll need a taxi for most things to reach, though this might also be good, since most rides are enjoyable and inexpensive. It is ok to walk to the Medina from there, but you need to cross at least one big road and will come by some areas that are not very scenic.
Huge amount of space, comfy beds. For the money a great space.
Fridge was off when we arrived so could store anything cold. AC in only two of the three rooms…
Just outside the Medina wall so considering we needed a parking, it was perfect! Its a small complexe with many riads, parking, pools, shops and restaurants.
There is a couple of restaurants and grocery shops on site which is handy because otherwise you're quite far away from everything ...good security at the gate .
Even tho you appear to have everything you need for self catering the fact that when you leave the property you have to remove the key from a key pad which automatically switches off all electricity ...including the fridge is just plain daft . Location is quite a walk from the centre of things . Although we were told that the WiFi was good ..it didn't work at all.....the owner said she would drop pool passes to us the day after we arrived, but that didnt happen..we had to contact her the day after that again ..so basically got use of pool once...and the pool area is actually very pleasant so we would have used it each day on our return if the passes had been provided at the start of our trip....Communication wasn't easy ..we booked for 2 people for 4 days..My daughter and l stayed 3 days ..My son and his pal were to stay the last night but the owner insisted on a further charge for them naturally paid in cash directly to her once I informed her of this ..very unpleasant and off putting.. but for the sake of giving my son a quiet night I paid it ...I wouldn't recommend and I'd never return ti this particular venue.... There's a myriad of places available in Marrakech...far nicer and far more central ...
Lovely traditional Riad, full of character and plenty big enough for a family . It had a fully equipped kitchen and clean bedding and towels . Close by within the residential area (3 minutes walk) there’s a couple of cafes selling food all day and evening and 2 small convenience shops. My mistake in not seeing a message from the owner Zahra with clear directions to the riad. Using a taxi from the airport we struggled a little to locate riad camilia but if in doubt show the taxi driver the photo on here which Says Qarya syahia !! . Marrakech was fascinating however it’s quite easy to get lost going into the main square and locals often offer help with directions and expect some cash for their help ( which we didn’t always want but they can be quite insistent) . On the whole though an interesting cultural little holiday .
Unfortunately the pool wasn’t open due to it being Ramadan.
It was very clean and plenty of space. The owner was very helpful and friendly.
Perhaps brighter lights in the living room and by the bedside for reading.
Beautiful villa with all the amenities close by. Supermarket, several restaurants and also a salon/barber within the compound.
The internet was a bit sketchy and did not work both mornings. Everything else was nice
