Great rooms, friendly staff, locations is close to the temple of the sacred tooth but its in the way to the center of the town, so you have to dress moderately if you want to pass through If not you have to take a 10 minute tuktuk

Pool area was a bit dirty and dark, balcony was too small to fit a chair so not really useful

Bed was really noisy with every turn. It first felt really clean but from day to day you saw where it was not cleaned regularly. All in all felt a bit strange to be in the house.

The location was perfect! 10 mins walk to the lake. The room was modern, minimalist and very clean.

Great homely guesthouse a 10-min walk from the lake. Really easy to get to the Tooth Temple and just a 20-min walk alongside the lake to get to the city centre. Lovely hospitable staff, good breakfast as well!

Das man , wenn man zurück in die Unterkunft will, immer klingeln muss und das der Check in nur von 14 - 14:30 Uhr ist.

the place is like a hotel with very modern and clean room. the location is very convenient around the lake and you can walk around and start the day with a nice breakfast. Enjoy your stay.

L’établissement est idéalement situé, à proximité immédiate du lac de Kandy (5 minutes à pied). Les chambres sont très propres et bien équipées (frigo et télévision). La salle de bain est également propre. Le petit déjeuner est aussi copieux et très bon ! Je recommande fortement 😉

This hotel truly stands out for its cleanliness — without a doubt the cleanest place we stayed at during our trip. Everything felt spotless and very well maintained. The hotel is also very modern, especially the bright, stylish bathroom. The beds were extremely comfortable, and the room itself was very spacious, giving us plenty of room to relax. The location is also very convenient, close to the Temple of Truth, which made getting around easy. The host deserves special praise as well. He was very friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. When we unfortunately had to leave early during the night to go to the hospital, he even canceled a booking free of charge, which we really appreciated. The room amenities were great: there was tea and coffee with a kettle, a TV, and even a full-length mirror. Upon request, we were also provided with a hairdryer. The shower was excellent — very warm with strong water pressure, which we especially noticed since many other hotels had weak water flow. The only downside was the entrance system. The building is locked with a padlock at night, so when we needed to leave at 4 a.m. for the hospital, we had to wait a few minutes for the host to wake up and open the door. This could definitely be improved. Aside from that small inconvenience, which topples us at night,, everything was perfect and we had a very comfortable stay. Highly recommended!

Driver found it difficult to find the property. Maybe a sign at the end of the road would be useful. But no issue with the room or service. It was amazing.

This family hotel is a very nice place. The host is very helpful! The room is very clean and functional. Not directly in the touristic center of Kandy, but close enough to enjoy the attractions and walk around.

Breakfast was good enough, however if something can be improved it will be the breakfast(more fruit choices).

The room is clean and new. The location is not far from the center. We were totally happy with the room. The owner was kind and helped us to rent a motorbike.

Breakfast was oke but could be better. We prefer Srilanka Breakfast.

Amazing place! Clean, comfortable and the best shower in weeks! Also in walking distance to the lake and tooth temple (25min). Breakfast was fine and staff very friendly.

Das Hotel ist sehr neu und alles ist super sauber. Man ist in 20min Fußweg mitten im Zentrum von Kandy, nachts ist es aber trotzdem sehr ruhig. Der Gastgeber ist sehr höflich und freundlich und bedacht darauf, einen komfortablen Aufenthalt zu ermöglichen. Im Zimmer gibt es alles, was man braucht und das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist wirklich top.

La struttura è nuova e ben curata, la camera è grande e il bagno ben fatto, con un’ampia doccia. La posizione molto comoda e poco fuori dal caos di Kandy.

Purtroppo la colazione era minima e poco curata, rispetto allo standard delle colazione trovate nell’isola.

New modern bright & spacious room with good airco, comfortable bed, clean, great hot shower. Good location, quiet, and a nice stroll along the lake to the city centre.

Room for improvement: wifi connection, fridge wasn’t working, no outdoor furniture on the balcony, no cleaning during my 7 days stay, communication off the staff and customer service (father was nice though but only been in contact the last evening and the morning of check out)

Very clean, spatious and beautiful room, close to the lake. Hot water from the shower and working Aircon. Breakfast was great and the owners were really nice and accommodating.

Cupboard would be good to put our big bags down somewhere, not on the floor Also it would be nice to get some bottled water with the kettle, but other than that, it was perfect :)

Nice and clean room! We checked in too early but could drop off our bags. Kandy lake is not far away by foot. Easy and good communication. We had a pleasant stay!

Property is Brand new and very conveniently located near Kandy lake. It's in a quiet neighbourhood.The host is very polite and caring.

1. Brand new apartment building, everything is new. The whole room and bathroom is very clean. 2. The room is spacious, with everything we needed. AC, water boiler, tea, coffee, also shampoo. The host also gave us some Sri Lankan coffee. Since there is no shops nearby, we could also buy big bottle of water from the host directly. 3. Location is one of the best, 7 min walk to the lake then along the lake side another few minutes to the Temple and palace. About 25 min walk to the city where there is a shopping mall and many restaurants. The apartment area is very quiet. 4. There is a fridge and sofa in the common area, also a table so I could work there. 5. Host is super nice and always provide help when we need.

I think a cloth hanging rack can be very helpful. Other than that everything is good!

It`s a rather new guest house for several apartments. The hosting family tries to make your stay comfortable. The room is big enough, clean with fresh furniture and plumbing, air conditioner was powerfull and silent, wide bed. Close to the lake, also we found good chinese restaurant nearby.

The bed is a bit hard, the dog barks loudly at the night, some mold at the wall, the way to the lake is a bit dangerous.

Nice clean, spacious rooms and shared open space area. Place to park a vehicle. Peaceful and quiet. Beds were comfortable. Air conditioning was great, but did not really need for our stay. Location was nice: short walk from the Lake, a nice stroll to Kandy town centre. Communication was responsive: on the Booking app, by call and in person.

It was a small hassle to get in the place and check in. There was some confusion as where to go, or who to talk to once inside, as there is no obvious reception. Details such as how to check in, wifi password, how to pay were not communicated initially, or confusing. Only Sri Lankan rupees were accepted. We asked for drinking water and this was an extra charge.

Very Clean and calm place

Kandy Lakeside Escape is an exceptional hotel. Its very clear and neat. All amenities are available inside the room. Host is very friendly. I really enjoyed my stay. I would recommend this to anyone.

I would suggest to make few breakfast options available at the hotel.
