Besonders gefallen haben uns die liebevollen handwerklichen Details der Holzmöbel. Eine wunderschöne Balance zwischen Kultur und Komfort.

Reviewed Aug 31, 2026alles an der Unterkunft ist perfekt! man hat eine sehr zentrale Lage, trotzdem ist es ruhig am Abend. Die Mitarbeiter sind herausragend freundlich und zuvorkommend und die Unterkunft gehört zu einem süßen Laden wo es tolle Dinge zu kaufen gibt. Der Balkon ist außerdem perfekt um den Abend ausklingen zu lassen und noch die tolle Atmosphäre der Bier Street zu spüren. für uns ist diese Unterkunft wirklich eine 10 von 10 gewesen! Sehr empfehlenswert!

I hardly ever complain about any of my bookings, but this hotel gave me a really bad experience. My 11-year-old son and I never wanted to come back to the hotel after a long day of walking. I understand the hotel offers a really reasonable price, but all I ask for is honesty. Firstly, the owner should be honest about their property. In reality, the hotel doesn't look like the photos on Booking.com. On Booking.com, it shows a nice bohemian-style building, but in reality it was a small, narrow building next to the nice one😩😩😩. The wall of my room is covered with marks. The bathroom was separate from the room, which made it inconvenient. The lock on my door was worn down, and I couldn't open it. The female staff tried to help, but she gave up. The male staff could open it, but it took a few attempts. So I decided not to lock into my room even when we are out😭😭😭. Also, the room and its balcony don't look like the photos; my room's balcony was used for storage of unwanted stuff and covered with a layer of dust 😂😂😂 Absolutely disgusting when I opened the curtains. Also, there was a cockroach in the room, and the floor was covered in dust, like it hadn't been mopped for a while. The Air conditioning wasn't working properly, but one of the male staff members lent me an electronic fan.

Geen warme douche helaas. Wat lastig te vinden aangezien de ingang achterin een winkel is.

Reviewed Aug 7, 2026Nous avons passé 5 jours dans ce logement. L’emplacement en plein coeur du vieux quartier (restaurants/magasins à proximité direct) Le logement est fonctionnel et correspond parfaitement aux photos. La literie. L’amabilité des hôtes.
Ce que j’ajoute ici ne nous a pas vraiment dérangé dans notre séjour mais Il faut avoir conscience que : La douche/wc (même pièce avec tout) est vraiment petite et qu’il faut sortir de la chambre pour y accéder mais tout est clairement écrit sur l’annonce donc ce n’était pas une surprise pour nous (et encore une fois, les photos sont fidèles à la réalité). Et Forcément, vu qu’il est situé en plein coeur du vieux quartier, cela est assez bruyant en soirée (prévoir des boules quies pour le dormeur au sommeil léger)

Reviewed Jul 21, 2026Отель находится в самом центре, шума НЕ было и нам ничего не мешало Номер чистый, большой, мы жили на 3 этаже и нас все устраивало Отель находится прямо в сувенирной лавке, это необычно и забавно Хозяин вечером ждал нас и утром при раннем вылете, тоже открыл дверь и все было ок Мы бли две ночи, но я бы там осталось и дольше и конечно я бы вернулась и буду рекомендовать этот отель Мы были еще в нескольких городах Вьетнама и тут были самые комфортные кровати

La salle de bain où tu dois sortir de la chambre et monter des escaliers extrement étroits. Douche inexistante et chaleur insupportable

Reviewed Jun 14, 2026Bed was comfy and huge! I like the location and that the room is actually spacious. The bathroom is a typical shower room in Vietnam where the shower head is above the toilet bowl.
The only downside is that the AC is not very powerful or it was not blowing enough cool air. We contacted the property and they responded immediately however that was not much of a big difference.

Geen lift, mega smal trappenhuis dus kwamen amper omhoog met de backpacks vielen allemaal dingen om in de winkel/ventilator. Badkamer is niet en suite dus je moet vanuit je kamer trappen op. Badkamer mega klein, oud vies. Je doucht letterlijk boven de wc, nog nooit meegemaakt. Ingang is vanuit buiten niet zichtbaar, je moet eerst een kledingwinkel door. Avond gaat scherm winkel omlaag en kom je hotel niet meer uit. Wij voelden ons erg opgesloten, was ook niet brandveilig hierdoor. Wij hadden volgende ochtend vroeg taxi naar airport, winkeltje was nog dicht en kwamen er niet uit door die schermen en er is geen receptie. Erg onveilig en claustrofobisch

Everything. Instead of charging me via booking.com they have charged me on site and added 8% for the tax. There was no lift and the staircase was so narrow we couldn’t even take our luggage up to the room. They said there is no one that can help with the bag. The place was dirty, the air conditioner didn’t work, the wifi didn’t work, and the noise from the street was terrible

- Het ligt in een souvenierwinkel. Toen we aankwamen konden we niet eerder inchecken en moesten onze koffers in de winkel blijven staan. Toen we een keer rond half 12 thuis kwamen was de winkel dicht. We hebben toen een kwartier buiten moeten wachten en 10x gebeld tot de portier de deur open kwam doen. Niet zo fijn als het laat is op straat! - De badkamer is echt te klein. Je moet douchen boven het toilet of de wasbak. Alles wordt nat waardoor de rest praktisch onbruikbaar is. - Er is zwarte schimmel op de kamer. En mega veel stof. - Winkelpersoneel herkent je niet waardoor je vaker raar wordt aangekeken als je in 1x doorloopt. Ik zou de accommodatie absoluut niet aanbevelen.

Reviewed Mar 31, 2026The main highlight is definitely the location — it’s very central and perfectly situated for exploring Hanoi’s Old Quarter
However, there are several downsides to be aware of. The place is extremely noisy, so if you have trouble falling asleep or are sensitive to sound, this might not be the right choice for you. Also, access to the property is through a shop, which means that between 10 PM and the shop’s opening hours in the morning, getting in and out can be inconvenient. Another point to note is the bathroom setup. It is located outside the room, on an upper floor, with the shower right next to the toilet, which may not be ideal for everyone.

No soundproofing so not good for light sleepers and you can hear motorbikes beeping in the early mornings. No lift so you have to take the stairs to get to rooms and bathroom. Separate private bathroom had a combined shower & toilet so it’s very small and a bit dangerous to navigate from the bathroom to the room via stairs.

Unbedingt ohrstöpsel/Oropax einpacken, denn die Isolierung nach außen ist mäßig und die Straße bis in die späten Nachtstunden laut und ab morgens beginnt dann das für Vietnam typische hupkonzert. Die Dusche ist über der Toilette angebracht. Nach dem duschen ist der komplette Boden nass.

Impossible de dormir !!! Du bruit et des cris jusqu’à 3h du matin passé. L’accès aux chambres se fait par le fond de la boutique où le passage fait 50-55cm à tout casser. Attention si vous avez des gros sacs ou valise ! La douche est au dessus du toilette et à 10 cm de la vasque de la salle de bain ! La propreté est à revoir également. Les filles pour nous accueillir devaient gérer également les clients de la boutique : donc pas vraiment disponible. Nous sommes partis 1 jour avant (en ayant réglé tant pis!) car insupportable ! Je n’ai pas compris les commentaires positifs de l’établissement. Bien peut être pour des jeunes qui cherchent à faire la fête au centre ville uniquement !

Reviewed Feb 25, 2026We’ve stayed in many hotels and homestays, but Mimosa Homestay is easily at the top of our list. The room was lovely, well-laid-out, and surprisingly spacious, with an exceptional level of cleanliness that we really appreciated. The location is truly perfect. It’s situated right in the Old Quarter, only 300m away from some of the busiest bars and restaurants. Despite being so close to the action, the room was remarkably quiet at night, allowing for a great night's sleep. We also loved the balcony; while small, it’s a fantastic spot to relax and watch the vibrant street life below. For my wife and me, this will be our first choice when we return to Hanoi. We probably won’t even look at other options—it really is that good!
