Kirinda Paradise Yala

Shaluka and family were great hosts and made the stay very comfortable. They arranged the safari, intl adapters and the breakfasts were adequate and tasty. The location is close to a beach, and quite peaceful but not close to any stores. The room is super spacious and bathroom is good too. Wifi was fine too. Our kids had a lot of fun running around

Nothing as such. A bit pricey for the location but it was worth it for us as it was close-ish to a beach.

Great hotel and owners. The kids were great played cricket with them all night. Food excellent, just a great place to stay.

May 2026 Amazingly friendly and kind staff, they really go out of their way to help you. Good and clean room with large balcony. It has mini fridge & airco. Clean bathroom, including small soaps. Nice atmosphere in sitting area and around the pool with quality chairs & sofas. Good food. They arranged transport + experienced guide/jeep for Yala national park. We only stayed one night but wished we booked longer. We recommend!!

Pool was lovely.

Main light in the bathroom kept flashing on and off. Towel rail wasn’t fixed properly and kept falling off the wall. We ate dinner and my husband had chicken biryani which was very poor nothing like biryani and chicken was mainly bones. My fish dish was ok. We went on safari in the morning and were only given one small banana each, two very thin sandwiches with hardly any filling and a boiled egg plus a bottle of water. Apart from the pool overall the stay was ok but I wouldn’t return

Shaluka and his family were exceptional hosts. He arranged our Yala safari, cooked superb meals every night of our five night stay, the grounds and the rooms are beautiful and well maintained including a resident peacock and monitor lizard.

Widać w nim ogromną pasję i talent kulinarny. ❤️ Aleksandra i Grzegorz

Position clean size of room

Owner kept saying paying in cash over and over again even though we had said we were paying by card and he said he had a card machine. It’s a house as most are and they have built 4 rooms ( 3 above). There is a simple menu with prices. Most things weren’t available but that was ok however what we felt was absurd was adding S/C onto the bill. Not because of the minimal cost but it smacks of squeezing every last rupee out of the client. This is not by any stretch of the imagination a hotel and that’s fine but adding service charge and pestering for cash having added local taxes did not amuse us.

Small and clean facility, staff was helpful beach is nearby

All rooms were on first floor, no hot water

We had a wonderful time here. Our host took us to a birdsafari and boottour with a fisherman through the lagoon. The swimmingpool was very nice, good chairs, goods beds near tge swimminhpool, good diners, very nice team, the owner has class and maintains his property. Ee really felt at ease here. Take care...There is one small elefant in the garden. (😄). We regret we only stay so short here. Thanks for everything dear Shanuka.👍💏

Niets

The photos, description, some reviews, and even the manager raised high expectations, but reality fell far short. On the positive side, the pool is nice, the kitchen staff is helpful, and the property looks appealing. The rooms are big with comfortable beds, breakfast is decent, and dinner is passable (though the fish isn’t fresh and the squid is tough). Unfortunately, there are no other dining options nearby.

The manager had a strange attitude, promising cold beer that never arrived because it wasn’t cold, and offering a router with no data. He mentioned past issues with the water heater, but in truth, there was no hot water at all. The place is advertised as secluded, but it’s actually isolated, surrounded by abandoned land, making it unsettling to return after dark. To make matters worse, no one answers the phone, not even the number listed at the entrance. Deep cleaning is needed in the bathroom (pictures) For the price, basics like reliable Wi-Fi, hot water, and accessible host communication should be guaranteed. Instead, this overpriced stay left much to be desired.

Great place...clean and comfortable. Owner and staff very accommodating.

Not really close to markets etc. But easy ride on taxi or tuk tuk

Lovely family that were so helpful Food was great Quiet location only 5 minutes from the beach

Sehr gut

The Host and his family is incredibly nice, helpful and welcoming. Both nights we had dinner at the place, which was one of the best meals we have had on our trip. He also took us on a tuk-tuk tour around Kirinda and the area around the Nationalpark which was beautiful. Also, the place is gourgeus! Would definitely recommend everyone going to Kirinda to stay at this place.

Gemeenschappelijk groot balkon.

Niets!!!!

Heerlijke bungalow, rust , goed bed goede badkamer/douche

Great pool, delicious food and great hospitality at this genuine and very well managed place

Ruime accommodatie, mooi groot zwembad

Lovely secluded hotel, with only 4 rooms so it is lovely and peaceful. Amazing wildlife roaming around, super clean and the owner was so lovely and helpful. He cooked us dinner both nights which was so so nice and also washed our clothes for us. Very close to Yala park, 15 ish mins ride

Nothing - it is very secluded so be aware before booking. There is a small shop 10 min walk away though.

Very relaxed and great amenities!

Nothing

Though breakfast should be included to the booking as per the package information, it wasn’t provided.

Incredible value for money, lovely pool and spacious room with a balcony and even bean bags. The pool is divine and the pool furniture is beautiful. Close to stunning beach. Definitely recommend. One of thr nicest places we stayed and pretty cheap.

Nothing

RAS

I loved a lot that the staff was very friendly and helpful. The pool was clean and at any time accessible, the rooms were tidy, clean, and very spacious. Large balcony, private and quiet. The location was great too. I spent there 2 nights and it was very relaxing. The breakfast was delicious too. Definitely recommend this place. Great value for the money!

Comfortabele familiekamer, dichtbij Yala National Park.

Shaluka his tw boys and staff were excellent! It felt like we were part of the family! Food and service was top rate. The pool to Cool down was an absolute bonus

I didn’t mind the isolation so if you’re after lots of restaurants and a bit of action this isn’t the place to stay

Heel vriendelijk en fijn zwembad.

Was echt prima verblijf.

Affordable and a great value stay close to the Yala National Park! The owner is very friendly and is very accommodating of our requests.

Ontbijt was erg goed.

Pool, balcony.

On Booking is written "Cash payment not possible", but card/bank transfer not possible. The owner also told us he cancelled card payment to avoid taxes duty. So cash payment is without any registration and invoice.

Very nice hotel! Clean and spacious rooms, good AC, comfortable beds, nice pool area, quiet at night. The owner is extremely friendly and helpful, also he cooks great food.

This place is amazing! I had the best experience here for one night before I did the safari. The owner is so lovely and I his kids are the cutest. He bent over backwards to make sure I had everything I needed. He made me a delicious dinner (he’s a chef) and breakfast the next morning. I also didn’t have the correct adapter for my appliances and they brought me up a bunch of different ones to make sure I had the right one. The rooms were spotless and the bed was comfortable. The balcony was so peaceful, I enjoyed sitting on the beanbag reading my book while listening to the nature sounds. The pool area is awesome too! I really did not want to leave!

Nothing.

We had a truly lovely stay! The room was cozy, the food was delicious, and the pool was exactly what we needed to relax. But the highlight was definitely our amazing host – so kind, helpful and always smiling. He really made us feel at home, and went above and beyond with every little request. We’ll always remember his warm energy – thank you so much! Highly recommended to anyone looking for a welcoming and comfortable place to stay.

Delicious breakfast, friendly and helpfull Staff with very good cooking skills

Lovely pool, house and gardens. Well maintained and clean. The nicest place we stayed so far in Sri Lanka. The host is a lovely, kind person who cooked us a wonderful meal too. I will be recommending to anyone visiting kirinda

Nothing

Amazing property. Wish we had booked for longer! Great pool with lots of sun loungers and beanbags. Owner is also a chef. We had a wonderful breakfast and wish we had more time to experience his cooking for lunch or dinner. Were also very helpful arranging Yala safari for us ☺️

It was new and clean

Extremely Disappointing Stay – Misleading Listing and Unprofessional Service We booked this property through Booking.com expecting a hotel experience, but what we got was far from it. First of all, they do not accept card payments or bank transfers – only cash, which is completely unacceptable in this day and age. We had to waste time finding an ATM upon arrival, which was a major inconvenience, especially after traveling. There was no proper greeting when we arrived. The man who greeted us appeared to be intoxicated and was speaking inappropriately, which made us extremely uncomfortable. The listing on Booking.com is very misleading. This is not a hotel – it’s more like a homestay, with a family living on the ground floor. It felt intrusive and was disturbing to our privacy. We booked 3 rooms for 7 guests, all of which were located upstairs via steep stairs, and there was no elevator – something that was not disclosed on the listing. One of our group members recently had knee surgery and couldn’t use the stairs, which made our stay even more difficult. If we had known about the stairs in advance, we never would have booked this place. As for breakfast, we called ahead and were told they offered an English breakfast, but all we received was an omelet, two slices of bread, a banana, and tea. The “juice” was actually just diluted cordial. We had requested breakfast to be ready before 8:00 AM, as we needed to check out early, but were told it wouldn’t be ready before 9:00 AM – completely unprofessional. Despite our request, breakfast wasn’t fully served until after 9:35 AM, and by the time we got all the food, everything was cold. It took 30+ minutes to serve 7 omelets and toast – something even a child could have managed faster. The service was slow, rude, and dismissive throughout. Overall, our stay was incredibly disappointing.

-

Very comfortable bed. Very very welcoming host who despite us only staying one night before we went on a whole day safari, made us a packed breakfast to take, let us leave our bags there for the day, and sorted our transport to Ella. Couldn’t have been more helpful!

The location - we got there early evening and walked to try and find dinner. There is nothing for miles - so just be prepared!

accueil et cuisine

un peu éloigné de tout

Bel hôtel. Belle piscine . Belle chambre, bon repas. Bonne climatisation. Bon accueil. Patron sympathique. Bonne literie.

Struttura praticamente nuova e molto curata rispetto allo standard.

There was a family running the hotel who are very friendly and sweet! The location is perfect if you are looking to go to the Yala Safari. We had a home cooked meal for dinner which was great!

You had to pay for everything in cash so we had to search for an ATM which was a little inconvenient. The AC didn’t really cool the room down but there was a fan so was manageable. There was little to no WiFi.

Stayed here one night It is a great little hide away with comfortable rooms and a great pool. Our host was very hospitable and the seafood platter for dinner was superb Good breakfast. Highly recommend

Nothing

Friendly host, we were able stay until 11:00, came back from morning safari to apartment. Very relaxing atmosphere

The manager was very rude and he condeming his own property I didn’t understand why, only what I can think of he want me to cancel the property which he did on next day

Lovely family hosting us. Unfortunately the accommodation is out of town, also no people on the town willing to sell us any food
