Reviewed Mar 11, 2026Schönes Cottage in einer ruhigen Wohngegend. Umfangreiche Ausstattung und schöne, große Sonnenterrasse. Guter Ausgangspunkt für Lake Taupo und Tongariro Nationalpark.
Waschmaschine und Trockenständer sind vorhanden, wir haben ein Bügeleisen vermisst.

Reviewed Feb 8, 2026Es war ein komfortables Haus mitten in einer ruhigen Wohngegend. Eine Wohlfühloase, sehr großzügig eingerichtet. Es wird einem alles zur Verfügung gestellt ( Kaffee, Tee, Waschpulver, Ladekabel, Batterie usw. ) Wir können dieses Haus zu 100 % weiterempfehlen. Die Lage ist ausgezeichnet für viele Aktivtäten wie zum Beispiel der beeindruckende Tongariro Alpine Crossing Trail und der wunderschöne Lake Taupo und vieles mehr. DANKE an die Gastgeber.

Reviewed Dec 12, 2025Es war alles vorhanden was man gebraucht hat, auch ein wenig mehr als oft in anderen Unterkünften. Es war alles sehr sauber und mit viel Liebe modern eingerichtet. Man fühlt sich dort schnell wohl. Bett war sehr bequem, auch fühl kalte Nächte ist vorgesorgt.

Reviewed Mar 13, 2025We loved our stay at Pihanga Vista Cottage while we visited Tongariro National park! I wish we could have stayed in accomodations like this for our entire month-long visit to New Zealand. The cottage was so cute, a great location, clean and quiet, outfitted wonderfully, and the special touches of the hosts were so thoughtful. We arrived to some food supplies in the fridge which was such a nice touch and were appreciated! The bread, eggs, butter, and jelly allowed us to make a great breakfast without having to go shopping. What a gift! We would stay here again in a heartbeat! Thank you for making our time in Turangi so comfortable!
We thought everything was great, I can't think of things to improve.

Reviewed Jan 4, 2025Das Pihanga Vista Cottage liegt in einer ruhigen Sackgasse in Turangi. Parken kann man direkt an der Unterkunft und die Schlüssel bekommt man per Self Check-In. Die Kommunikation mit unserem Gastgeber war unkompliziert und freundlich. Die Ferienwohnung ist wirklich sehr groß und stilvoll eingerichtet. In der Küche findet man alles zum selber kochen und die komplette Unterkunft war sauber. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und wären gerne länger geblieben.

Reviewed Dec 23, 2024It is a little house funished with love where you quickly feel at home. The accommodation has everything you need for a longer or shorter trip through New Zealand and offers a large garden. It is a good starting point for a trip to Lake Taupo or the Tongariro National Park.

Reviewed Nov 14, 2024Recently modernised property in quiet residential area with lovely garden for sitting in. Well furnished and very comfortable. The owners left fresh milk, bread, butter, eggs, jam, marmalade, tea, coffee etc which was a nice touch. Short drive (5 mins) to nearest supermarket for supplies. Excellent location for exploring Tongariro National Park. We spent 3 nights here and wished we could have stayed longer.

Reviewed Oct 1, 2024Ein sehr schönes, renoviertes Cottage, geschmackvoll und gleichzeitig funktional eingerichtet. Darüber hinaus haben die Vermieter auch noch Lebensmittel im Kühlschrank deponiert, die für all unsere Frühstücke reichten (Milch, Joghurt, Toast, Butter, Marmelade, Eier), auch Obst stand bereit. Ganz super! Die Betten waren super bequem. Das Cottage verfügt über einen Kamin, den wir allerdings nicht genutzt haben, weil wir von unseren Wanderungen immer zu müde waren. Hinter dem Haus ist ein kleiner Garten mit Wiese und Sitzgelegenheiten. Bei schönem Wetter wunderbar!

Very minor, at the time of stay, there was no washing line but they do have a drying rack and all day sun.

Reviewed May 4, 2024Das Haus ist ein kleines Juwel. Es ist geschmackvoll, gemütlich und hochwertig eingerichtet und sehr gut ausgestattet. Liebevoll haben die Gastgeber an alles gedacht. So gibt es nicht nur Kaffee, Tee und Milch, sondern auch Eier, Brot, Butter, Marmelade,Süßigkeiten, Chips, Waschpulver... u.v.m Man kann schön auf der Terrasse sitzen oder abends vor dem Ofen. Der Ausgangspunkt für das Alpine Crossing ist bequem mit dem Auto zu erreichen. Würde das Haus jedem wärmstens empfehlen.

You couldn't ask for anything else, Elsbeth even left us provisions and some treats for our stay, very much appreciated and enjoyed. Highly recommended.
