Maskot Penida Cottage

The pools and rooms were amazing and very clean and spacious. The staff were wonderful too.

Quite far away from town.

Miss Putu is an angel- very nice and pure person. I wish you success with your accommodation, happiness in your life and good karma dan health for you and your family. Putu helps you with everything you want or need. 🙏🏻

Putu is the best

Small but good

He's very beautiful area and very nice clean Hotel

Clean and claim soundless

Nothing

Beautiful bungalows, clean and well maintained, beautiful garden.

Clean and tidy cottage, we felt just like home. Very kind, helpful and genuine staff. Greatly recommend !

Nice roomy cottage, but really in the middle of nowhere on the island. So it's quiet, but you need to drive away for everything. The cottage was very clean, with a mosquito net around the bed, which came handy at night. We really appreciated the earlier check-in, as the room was available. Good shower with strong flow and warm water. The garden is lovely.

Lots of mosquitos, no breakfast earlier than 7:30am, which was a problem for us as we did scuba diving in the morning. Don't bother with breakfast there, it's disappointing. Anyone praising it must have the palate of a dobberman... And despite the quiet location, it's still impossible to get a full night of sleep because of the damn chickens 30m away that start crowing at dawn...

The rooms are really big, the beds very comfortable, everything very clean. Breakfast is a good way to start the day. The receptionist is always smiling.

The accommodation is about 15 minutes away from the center. There aren't many transportation options on the island, and taxis are usually quite expensive compared to other places in Bali. I don't recommend it for solo travelers; you won't have many options for what to do unless you rent a scooter. But I can tell you right now that the streets and traffic aren't the best.

Tout est juste parfait Je recommande vivement

RAS

Amazing place a bit far from the main strip but very peaceful and the girl taking care of the property so kind and helpful always smiling loved our stay highly recommend

Maskot Penida Cottage is located in a beautiful and quiet place in the nature. The staff is always friendly and helpful and made our stay wonderful.

Our stay here was really comfortable, we actually extended our stay. The place is quiet and well taken care of. The girl at the reception was very kind and nice. The cottage is beautifully decorated, with a small terrace in front, very nice! The bathrooms are clean and the AC works very well. The wifi is good also. The is a small groceries shops right in front of the accomodation( beers, chips and basic things). You also have a kettle and tea and coffee in the room.

The cottages could be a bit more sound proof but its okay, the traffic is almost inexistant.

Location

The property is very new and well maintained. I like that it is managed by a family and they are really nice people!!

An absolute gem! The bungalows are charming, super comfortable, and spotlessly clean. The staff is incredibly kind and always ready to help with a smile. Breakfast is delicious, and the extra services make everything even better: on-site scooter rental, well-organized excursions to explore the beauty of Nusa Penida, and an amazing laundry service — clothes come back perfectly clean with the most incredible scent. All of this in a stunning, peaceful setting that’s perfect for relaxing and unwinding. Truly exceptional — I’ll be back without a doubt!

The stay is near the harbour approx 15 mins and the famous spots like Kelinking beach, Angel Billabong are just 30 mins away.

It’s about 20 minutes from the pier and the main town, but honestly, everything on the island takes 20–40 minutes to reach by motorbike. However, there’s a mini market right in front of the hotel, and they also sell gasoline, which is very convenient. The room was wonderful, but what really stood out was the bathroom. In Indonesia, bathrooms are usually not great, but I was pleasantly surprised by how clean and nicely designed it was. The family who runs the place is incredibly friendly and welcoming. I even decided to extend my stay. They also rent motorbikes, which was a huge plus. I highly recommend staying here!

We had a lovely time at Maskot. We stayed a total of 4 nights. The rooms are quite fresh and really well kept. Be aware the are not fully “sealed” so if you are afraid of the chance of getting small bugs in this is not your place. However, we just got the usual mosquito here and there but the is also a mosquito net around the bed. The bathroom is semi-outside. It’s great for ventilation and it’s also really fresh believe or not! There is a transparent roof so it is okay if it rains as well. The location is quite good too if you want to rent a scooter and explore the island because it is sort of in the middle. We could also rent a scoopy for 100k a day. There is a restaurant next door if you don’t feel like going for a drive to get food, but we didn’t try it so we can’t say if it’s good or bad. There is also a little shop just in front of Maskot where you can buy water, sunscreen, some snacks… The hosts were super nice and paid attention you our needs. They have a really convenient laundry service as well, done in the same day because they use the sun to dry the clothes. They cooked a simple breakfast for us every morning and also gave us some advice on where to go. Finally, they helped us book the ferry ticket and taxi to leave the island. Really nice stay in Maskot:)

Big beautiful bungalows, strong AC, and very clean. There is also a resort next to it (1 min walk) with a restaurant and a pool. A very beautiful and peaceful spot in the middle of the jungle.

Apart from breakfast being basic (but that's the same in most places we stayed at), I would say the location is very far in, so be ready for that. You'll have to rent a scooter and go on a road that can be scary at times (especially with all the turns, and other cars and scooters)

The room was exceptionally clean and looked exactly as shown in the photos, which I truly appreciated. One detail that stood out for me was the presence of a proper door for the bathroom, which I consider very important. Another great feature is the proximity to a nearby hotel close to Maskot Penida, where you can conveniently enjoy lunch and dinner. Putu was incredibly friendly and helpful, making my stay even more pleasant. I highly recommend this place for a comfortable and hassle-free experience!

Good location Recommended Beautiful place Friendly staff

Good location Beautiful place Friendly staff Recommended

The family that runs the place is incredibly nice, they accommodated all our requests with a smile. Breakfast was quite varied and tasty. Super quiet by night. The location is good, not too far from the coast by scooter. The A/C worked great. No complaints at all, it was a truly lovely stay.

The bungalows was lovely and so was the people. Arranged everything for us when we asked. Perfect stay

There was no electricity for 5 hours at midnight and they had no generator Lot of mosquitoes in room

It was a very nice property. Rooms are clean. Property seems to be new. The staff is very friendly. Food is very tasty.

Very clean and new. Excellent value for money.

Perfection!! The room is so lovely and clean, good bathroom with hot water and cute porch to have delicious breakfast!! The staff are super friendly and the smart tv was also a nice touch

Location, privacy, clean, and the people where specially kind and helpful. Definiteley recommended!

Comfortable and quiet

The property was hygiene, responsive staff and the location was awesome. Scooter for rent provided by Mascot at additional cost. 20 minutes from the harbour.

Food could have better, especially for pure vegetarians who don’t eat egg.

Excellent property, however a little away from the town. Value for money for sure. The Host and property managment was great. Room and the amenities are excellent.

Distance to the property from town area.

We loved how quiet was the location, the staff were super nice, food was very tasty! The room was super clean!

Everything was great! Maybe the scooter we rented wasn’t the best, but that’s all :)

Everything! They could charge double and it would be fair! Don’t day trip this island, it’d be a waste, instead stay and stay here for the perfect location to see all the island without long drives! Favourite stay in 5 months of travel!

Nothing!

Everything was perfect.

The staff were so kind and welcoming!

The breakfast was delicious, the staff very friendly - the location is in the center of the island, but since the island is small, you can reach every point in an hour by motorbike.

I absolutely loved everything - the houses are beautifully decorated and new. The garden is very beautiful and additional landscaping is in progress. I can't say anything bad about the staff or the accommodation, because everything was great.

Beautiful place, very quiet, large room, clean and super comfortable. Delicious breakfast. The attendant is very kind, helpful and friendly. The location was great for us because it's in the middle, so if you want to explore it's perfect, it's not too far to go west of Penida or east of Penida. We were able to rent a motorcycle there, which helped us a lot. We would definitely recommend the place and would come back again.

This hotel was great, the location is very pretty and quiet, the rooms are large, very clean and the staff is very attentive. I highly recommend.

* It is New , the room is nice. * The staff are friendly.

* No refrigerator in the room 👎. * No water heater for shower 👎. * No customer service or reception during night time. *Breakfast options are so limited. *No Tourism Services “ Hotel in place like Nusa Doa mandatory to have a lot of drivers to be in contract with them for serving their clients, “ they could not find for us driver for visiting Nusa Doa attractions. * A lot of mosquitoes 🦟 coming inside the room from a hole 🕳️ the top of bathroom.

Staff very helpful, patiently emailed to check when we reach late, cook delicious vegetables for dinner.Room is clean and comfortable.

Heat needs improving, not warm enough when bath.. No hair dryer. Because Room One facing the road, can hearing when motor bikes or cars passing by.

Really clean and comfortable Very kind and helpful staff They booked boat ticket and port shuttle and everything we need for us The location is calm place in nowere

The location is far from everywhere but we rented a scooter and there was not any problem There are a few insects around the cottage and the doors is not isolated

-clean -comfortable -nice room

-quite far from the center/habour -don't have many restaurants nearby

Room was very clean and had a lovely vibe. Staff was also super friendly!

The location is a little bit in the middle of nowhere, but with a scooter it’s not really a big deal

Beautiful spot, amazing service, good facilities

Rooster in the mornings

The property was great. Had everything you need. The bed was comfy and the hosts are brilliant. Very welcoming and kind. Great value for money.
