Great location, short walk to seafront and near lots of restaurants and shops

There were issues with the power, seemed to only affect here and not the neighbouring properties. May have been resolved but two nights was woken by the lights flashing on and off and the AC unit beeping and rebooting

Coupure d’eau sur les 3 jours. Possibilité de descendre au 1er prendre notre douche ou accéder au lavabo, c’est bof. Petit déjeuner très succinct, pain de mie, confiture, beurre et pâte à tartiner.

Clean & tidy dorm with security access (You will be given a 1-bed mini locker & a 1-luggage locker under your bed). 7. Free simple breakfast and free-flow of hot and cold water available.

1. No dedicated mini Surau, but you can use the available space next to your bed for Solat. 2. Be prepared with a blast of AC. A hostel blanket saved me.

Tout ! Tout était parfait : des capsules hyper confortables avec une vraie couette, le ménage est fait quotidiennement ce qui est assez rare pour être souligné et valorisé, rapport qualité prix au top. Le monsieur de la réception est extrêmement gentil !!

First of all these people mis-advertise this property on booking platforms and then blame the customer. The guy at the reception literally said to me "do you even know the difference between a bed and a person". A couple of sentences earlier he started claiming that they have queen beds, king needs and at some point his calculation added up to 14-beds per room. I cannot know this for sure but he might have had a beer or two whilst working at the reception. I came in very tired and he kept making problems with giving us two beds that we booked and paid for. In terms of the facilities there is not much space to hang out, literally one table next to a pool table for the whole hostel, the beds ladder is high up and if you are a short person you will struggle to climb. The bathrooms are ok but wet all the time so O didn't like to go there and get water on my clothes, bring your own flip flops

I love the cozy living room with snookers. I love the ambience of the place. Bunk bed is also good i love it.

Just got random person randomly switched off the aircon but it's alright, it is what it looks like living in mixed room/dormitary.

My stay here was amazing - the bed and towels were clean and very comfortable, the staff were so friendly, and the showers and toilets were always clean. The best part is the location, as it is very close to tasty restaurants, coffee shops, malls, gift shops, Jesselton Point and the Gaya Street Night Market - perfect for anyone wanting to explore Kota Kinabalu! Amazing value for money, I would highly recommend staying at Concrete Jungle Cabin. The breakfast was exactly as described - toast, with butter, peanut butter and jam, just enough :)

The toilet floor was sometimes wet, but it was always clean.

Ostello pulito e molto accogliente, con una piccola cucina attrezzata e il bigliardo a disposizione degli ospiti. Letto comodo e spazioso. Pozione eccellente!

It’s really stinky at the toilets because the garbage at the other side of the street smells so bad.

Very kind staff, they also stored my luggage for a day while I hiked mt Kinabalu. Clean room that was temp controlled. And great central location!

The whole place is very clean and new looking. The beds were super comfortable and spacious. Shower water pressure and temperature is perfect. The pool table is a big bonus. Staff are friendly. Fresh cold water and hot drinks available all day.

The booking says breakfast included but breakfast is just toast with peanut butter or jam.

Les toilettes du 2ème étage était souvent sales, les gens ne respectent rien. Les douches et toilettes avec cette chaleur sont étouffants. Le petit dej était vraiment léger, il y avait du chocolat Milo le premier jour et plus les jours d’après.

El mejor Hostel y de buenísima relación precio calidad. Una muy linda sala de estar para socializar, con lindos servicios de entretenimiento. La habitación muy buena, con un colchón cómodo. Los baños se limpiaban dos veces al dia.

Sería pretencioso decir algo malo. El desayuno es pequeño, pero puedes acompañar como hicimos nosotros, ya que puedes cocinarte. Quizas este mejor ampliar los espacios de guardamalet de las habitaciones, ya que es chico para dos personas..

We stayed here 2 times when in KK in both dorm & private room. It’s superbly located on the Main Street - there’s great food markets Sat & Sun right outside! They have cheap clothes washing facilities and the staff were really friendly. Free coffee & tea all day, plus free bread, jam and peanut butter for breakfast is a nice touch. There’s a good chill out area and the WiFi is super fast - could stream & video call no problem. Fantastic place for the price.

Hostel très bien tenu, personnel très accueillant. Petit déjeuner convivial et copieux selon nos critères (pain grillé à volonté!). Chambre familiale spacieuse, literie confortable. Sanitaires nickel. Bonne ambiance, table de billard dans la pièce commune, petite terrasse avec guitare à disposition.

Seul défaut, l'isolation phonique de la chambre limite, qui donne sur la salle commune qui peut être un peu bruyante (mais cela dépend des jours probablement). Cela n'a pas empêché nos enfants de dormir bien sûr...

Location is very nice, nice to have included breakfast (but very limited). Beds very comfy.

Our room was near the patio and whenever someone was smoking the smell would go directly into room and it was very unpleasant.

When first time came, not sure what to expect, but after 3 nights stay, highly recommend this place to travelers visiting KK.

Perfect stay in KK, direct access to Gaya street, lots of eating places nearby, newly renovated facilities, cool aircon is lifesaver. Common area next to reception is a plus. Friendly staff: Joanne, Ian and 2 ladies whom i forgot to ask their names are extremely helpful making stays at Concrete Jungle Cabin an unforgettable experience.

Only small thing to improve maybe is the exhaust fan in shower room, there seems to be an exhaust hole in the ceiling, but it doesn’t seems to work, resulting after shower it could get very warm and humid, and you got all wet again. A good working exhaust could recirculate the air inside shower cabin, as it is a fully enclosed space, no window.

Stayed here twice cause it was so good. Beds r comfy, staff are lovely, bathrooms are nice and clean, toast for breakfast, good location

Buena relación calidad-precio y buena ubicación. Nos lo pasamos muy bien jugando al billar, la terraza también se agradece. Las duchas, aunque son compartidas, son amplias y modernas.

el desayuno es un poco escaso: tostadas mermelada mantequilla y cafés. Por el precio, está muy bien. Podrían añadir alguna fruta o cereal.

L'emplacement était idéal, la chambre et les parties communes étaient très propre. De plus, le personnel était à l'écoute, bienveillant et nous ont donné de très bons conseils sur les activités à faire à Kota Kinabalu. Nous recommandons évidement cet hostel.

one of the best hostels we have stayed at in the whole south east asia. it’s clean, comfortable and has a feel of a boutique hotel. the location is really good as well. definitely recommend.

Very clean beds. I often have complaints about hostel showers, but this hostel's showers were excellent, with strong water pressure and hot water. The female staff were also kind and helpful.

A group of guests (probably Chinese) were talking loudly in the common area for a long time, which was unpleasant.

Location and beds are good. Very suitable for big group of friends to stay together.

The water pressure is really bad during pasar malam night, the stalls downstair will pull all the water supply away and the water tank would run dry till the night market end. I would suggest the building to put up a bigger water tank to ensure adequate storage for all their guests during pasar malam.

The hostel is in the center of the city. It’s really convenient.

The bathroom is located in an area that feels like a balcony. It is a little small and there isn’t a clothes rack.

The beds were so comfortable. There was a charging port and light available. The curtains could also block out all the light from outside. Staff was friendly and willing to help. I had to check in late due to flight delay and they gave very clear and specific instructions on how to self check in. There's also a washing machine and dryer available for RM10. This place is also walkable to nearby tour offices, malls, various restaurants... The market is just below. Overall extremely worth to stay.

The place doesn't have a soul yet. The personnel were ok but not really into suggesting things to do or tours. Super clean place, comfortable but needs more vibes.

Baños se averiaron y había que bajar a la otra planta. Pero fue algo anecdótico que me tocó.

Bardzo rozczarowały nas śniadania: tosty, czekolada, i coś w rodzaju dżemu to wszystko czego można się spodziewać o poranku.
