We honestly couldn’t recommend The Tides highly enough. We’ve stayed in some amazing 5-star hotels over the years, and we would genuinely put this B&B up there with the very best. From the moment we arrived, the service was exemplary. Every area of the B&B was outstanding. The rooms were beautiful, with incredibly comfortable beds, great amenities and absolutely spotless throughout. The views overlooking Ballybunion were also lovely, and the location was perfect for exploring the area. And then there was the breakfast… absolutely incredible! We tried nearly everything on the menu during our stay and every single thing was fantastic. The pancakes were a particular hit with our three children — although, judging by how quickly they disappeared, I think they may have been the biggest fans of all! The real standout, though, was David and his wife. They couldn’t have been more welcoming, friendly and accommodating. We were travelling with our three small children, which isn’t always the easiest, but they went above and beyond to make our stay as easy and enjoyable as possible. Nothing was too much trouble, and their warmth and genuine hospitality made such a difference. We had originally only planned to stay for one night, but we loved it so much that we ended up extending our stay for another two nights — which probably says everything! If you’re looking to stay in or around Ballybunion, honestly, look no further. We wouldn’t stay anywhere else. If we could give more than 5 stars, we absolutely would. A huge thank you to David and his wife for making our stay so special.

An amazing welcome by the property host, who is a gentleman. The beds and bedding are unbelievably comfortable, the shower is amazing, the space in room was excellent and the breakfast was incredible. They even provide little buckets of ice which you can refill, this is a great little touch. Well done guys.. I could not fault this property. You are an example of what amazing Irish hospitality looks like.

David from the hotel was super nice and I arrived quite late. He gave such a wonderful response when i apologized for coming so late 'The only thing that is important is you arrived safely to us'. The room was spotless and the smell of the fresh sheets was fantastic. One of the best beds i have had in a hotel and so were the pillows. The shower was quite large and the quality of the toiletries was very high. The rooms were very well insulated. Despite being on the main floor I did not hear anything at all. I had to run for my meeting in Ballybunnion just down the hill so did not enjoy the breakfast but it looked fantastic.

There was nothing I can say negative about this hotel.

Die 2 Nächte im The Tides in Ballybunion waren außergewöhnlich schön und sind zu 100% weiterzuempfehlen! Das Zimmer ist wunderschön, geräumig und sehr sauber. Das Badezimmer ist sehr neu und extrem großzügig, in der Dusche hätte man zu dritt duschen können. Die Gastgeber sind sehr herzlich und jederzeit hilfsbereit. Auch das Frühstück lässt keine Wünsche übrig und es ist für jeden etwas dabei. Sollten wir nochmals in dieser Gegend Urlaub machen werden wir garantiert wiederkommen!

Es gibt überhaupt nichts zu verbessern.

Abbiamo avuto modo di soggiornare in questa struttura durante il ns viaggio attraverso la Wild Atlantic Way, purtroppo solo per una notte in quanto di passaggio. La suite all'ultimo piano era molto spaziosa, luminosa e pulitissima, comprensiva di vasca e doccia, tv con Netflix, parquet e quattro letti comodissimi! L'host davvero disponibile e simpatico, il mattino abbiamo optato per una colazione irlandese veramente deliziosa in un'atmosfera davvero intima e familiare.

Siamo dovuti partire troppo presto :=(

The owner at check in was so friendly and helpful. He provided several area maps and pointed out points of interest, places to see, places to go. He also provided recommendations for getting to our next destination that were much better than we saw on google maps. The room was very quiet, comfortable and spacious. Beds were very comfortable and we slept very well. Convenient location...short walk to town. Would definitely stay here again should we find ourselves in that part of the country again. We stumbled upon the Tides and it was lovely.

Great location and extremely well upkept property with super friendly owner who added a warm personal touch to everything. Everything was sparkling clean and luxurious. Beds were super comfortable in oversized room. And breakfast was just fantastic! We will definitely be back!

The room was absolutely huge. The whole place was spotless clean. The hosts were exceptionally nice and we cannot wait to book again.

The room we are in is immaculate. Beautiful bay window facing the front yard. Comfortable bed and pillows. Great breakfast too. The owner is very friendly and I requested early check in and they accommodated us nicely.

The room was really spacious with a great view of the lake from the large window. Breakfast was fabulous and soooo much choice

It was about a 15 minute walk into Ballybunion itself and there was a stretch without pavement that was a bit hairy, but nothing to detract from the actual stay with David and Doreen

The whole stay was wonderful. We felt like we were in the lap of luxury. We had a very large, comfortable room with plenty of space to relax before going to bed.
