Location was breathtaking. Nice and clean. Spacious for four people. Hot water shower is great. Overall it’s 10/10.

I recon should have continuous power supply and some electrical appliances available. This is not a complaint but a suggestion.

From the moment we arrived, we were completely in love with this place. The wide-open scenery is breathtaking, and the accommodation itself is so unique and charming. Our room was beautifully designed, and we especially enjoyed the experience of lighting and using the wood-burning fire—it was so relaxing and immersive. Our room also had a private bathtub, which we used both in the evening and again in the morning. It was incredibly comfortable—we honestly didn’t want to leave. Even the bathroom was beautifully scented and thoughtfully maintained. We also added the dinner option, and it was a wonderful surprise. I usually don’t eat lamb, but tonight’s lamb dish was so delicious that I finished every bite! Thank you so much to the hosts for your care and attention to detail. We truly appreciate everything, and we would absolutely love to come back again.

Diese Übernachtung war ein absolutes Highlight unserer Reise! Unser Dome (Station Peak) war wunderbar gemütlich eingerichtet mit Lichterketten, dicken Decken, einem Ofen und riesigem Bett. Das Highlight waren die beiden Badewannen auf der Veranda mit traumhaftem Blick in die weite Landschaft. Wegen einer kurzfristigen Stornierung einer Gruppe hatten wir die gesamte Anlage für uns - dadurch ist uns das gemeinsame Abendessen mit anderen Gästen entgangen, dafür konnten wir die große Küche und die Sanitärräume ausgiebig und ungestört nutzen. Das Frühstück, das uns unsere superfreundlichen und herzlichen Gastgeber zubereitet haben, war frisch, bio, reichhaltig und köstlich… lediglich ein bisschen Käse und Obst aus unserm Proviant haben wir noch beigesteuert. Toll, dass wir dieses Schmuckstück entdeckt haben!

Doordat het echt enorm slecht weer was, kon je niet genieten van de glamping. Alles was modderig en koud. Hier kan de host natuurlijk niets aan doen! Graag vermelden bij de info dat je je eigen drinken mee moet nemen als je diner gemaakt wordt door de host.

Comfortable bed with a nice view of the valley.

We were excited to stay here, but the check-in experience overshadowed everything. Check-in was listed as 3–6 PM, at a very remote location (Kurow). While two hours away in Mount Cook, we messaged to say we’d arrive around 7:30–8 PM (sunset was at 9:30 PM). The host refused to accommodate, saying it was unacceptable for them to stay later due to their long drive home. We were forced to cancel dinner and rush through the rain. Once there, it was clear an in-person check-in wasn’t necessary—no locks, clear signage, and amenities could’ve been shared in writing. We didn’t feel welcome and left a day early, eating the cost. Other B&Bs and glamping stays on our trip were far more flexible and hospitable. Instead we felt like we needed to accommodate the hosts instead of the hosts accommodating their guests.

Very different type of accommodation. Allows you to enjoy the surroundings of nature. Bed very comfortable. Host great.

The night was very cold, almost freezing :) To have sole kind of heater in the dome wouldn’t be luxury but is needed.

Absolutely nothing to fault at this place. Mind-blowingly stunning location, and no shortcuts have been taken on the facilities. Patrick is a perfect host, breakfast couldn't have been any better. Open air bathtubs in the forest topped it all off. (Bonus for me, there is also a lovely dog available for pats).

Being off grid we only had fairy lights which were a bit dodgy,seemed to have a mind of their own. Any heat generated seems to go straight out the fan in the roof,even with it turned off.

Wow, what a treat. Very welcoming. What a cool set up, there is everything you could need plus more. We definitely didn't want to leave.

What didn't we like! Everything was amazing. Outside baths, so cool, Yuks beautifully set up. And common area had everything we needed, plus was a lovely space to hangout. PS we LOVED meeting the owners dogs.

It feels like being on a different side of the world—perfect for a quiet and relaxing escape. And Jack, the dog, is so friendly!

Great view, friendly staffs, the dinner was very tasty. The host made special effort to ensure we know all the local attractions we can go for during and after our stay to make our trip a worthwhile one.

Not sure if availability of WIFI is in the spirit of glamping?!

The unquiet experience allowed for off the grid experience with the want for nothing Hospitality was expectational the decor of our dome was out of magazine with a picture perfect view The snow on the mountains enhanced the experience and was complimented by the fire in the dome was the perfect stay for our 10 year wedding anniversary with a romantic couples outdoor bath what more could you ask for

The composting toilet was a plastic bag under the toilet seat that you put sawdust in. Not a true composting method and very smelly by morning which pervaded into the bedroom even though we used plenty of sawdust. For this reason we would not recommend the stay. Otherwise it was fantastic

The perfect spot to relax, unwind and enjoy each other’s company and the stunning scenery. Staff were amazing and helpful. The option for a delicious home cooked 2 course meal was an added bonus.

It was very cold!!!! There was provision for a fire but no wood. Our tent didn't have bathroom facilities so if you need that then book one that has a bathroom, it's a long walk otherwise!

We liked the serenity and peaceful place. The dome that we stayed in was fabulous and cozy.

The dome itself was cozy, stylish, and spotlessly clean, making it a dreamy retreat. The outdoor hot bath was the cherry on top—so relaxing under the open sky! Every little detail was thoughtfully arranged, and the serene surroundings added to the charm. This stay surpassed all my expectations, and I can’t recommend it enough. Breakfast was very good and plenty of choice. Patrick our host gave us a great insight into local area and the Valley View Glamping history we we found very interesting.

Unfortunately the weather was cold and very breezy which meant we didn’t get the chance to use the outside baths. Because of the wind direction we were too cold to wait for the baths to fill and felt we wouldn’t get the enjoyment for them.

We absolutely loved the place! It was so peaceful, well-organized, and well-maintained. Honestly, it was one of the best sleeps I've had in a while!

Location and unique stay experience

Every thing was great

Loved our stay at that beautiful Glamping Dome. The hosts are so friendly and the baths in the forrest sooo peaceful.

Great views, the some were set up wonderfully, only 6 domes available so very quiet and peaceful. We had a great time.

I appreciate it’s off grid / eco friendly however the compost toilets were a little painful. Have to use the main block for particular types of toilet use was a little annoying however I appreciate what valley view are trying to accomplish. It didn’t affect our stay though.

Really loved the dome it had an amazing view, we have lightening and thunderstorms but it was amazing.

Loved the property and can’t wait to come back again. Very beautiful and quiet location, very lovely atmosphere. Really appreciated the hosts being so welcoming and thinking of everything when it comes to the facilities which were better than I could have imagined!

The only complaint is that we couldn’t stay longer!

Beautiful location and relaxing stay

Tents are quite good and well maintained. Everything is well thought of. Love hospitality from Patrick and Amber. Dogs are so friendly too.

This was by far the most magical and welcoming stay we could’ve asked for. My partner and I stayed in the Station Peak Dome and it was so worth having that extra little bit of luxury. The dome was very spacious and comfortable and the baths were so rustic and relaxing! We also had the home cooked dinner option and they were able to cater to our vegetarian request which tasted fantastic and came with a sweet desert! So yum!! We also had some car trouble which they helped us out with majorly just working around our issue. We appreciated their kindness and overall genuine hospitality.

Amber and Patrick are passionate New Zealanders who know how to host. The experience for our family was top shelf 🙂

Accommodation is warm and cozy

Staying in the dome was a special experience. Even in the rainy weather, we enjoyed relaxing with the misty valley in view. The communal kitchen is lovely, very well-equipped, and nice and warm with the wood stove burning. The owners were very friendly and welcoming. Our girls loved playing with Jock, one of the owners’ dogs. Although the weather was cold there was a lot of warm bedding and a wood stove in the dome to warm the place up. The outdoor baths in the rain were lovely!

We will need to come back to experience the different seasons!

The setting was beautiful and the accommodation was very comfortable, with the domes very tastefully decorated. The kitchen and bathroom facilities were very clean and well-appointed. We thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor bath under the stars!

The cleanliness of the entire space was spectacular! Everything was provided and well-thought by Patrick and Amber. Dinner was great too! We totally enjoyed their warm hospitality. Wished we had more time to extend my stay!

Just one thing: No toilet in my dome.

The view was just spectacular and the dome was very spacious. It had basically everything - chairs, sofa, candles and fairy lights. The communal kitchen and dining area was very well equipped...plates, glasses, teas, coffees, pots and pans and a bbq. The hosts Patrick and Amber were very friendly and helpful.

The unit we had was without a heater. Perhaps a gas heater would be good as it was very cold. The side table was also wobbly.

The breakfast was excellent. Patrick and Amber were great hosts, very knowledgeable about the area. The facilities were excellent with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Would recommend this for a unique nights accommodation.

Without question, one of the best luxury hotel/Glamping experiences we've ever had and we've had our fair share. You realise the journey to Kurow is worth it the moment you turn off onto the hidden dirt road and follow the easy signs to this secret paradise. Amber and Patrick (and Jock the Bordie Collie) greet you with warmth and professionalism before guiding you to you private sanctuary (tent) filled with fairy lights, soft faux fur rugs, a bed that rivals any 5-star hotel and a view over the valley that takes your breath away. If you're in the mood for a warm outdoor bath under the stars you're in the right place. If not, just sit out on your private deck and watch the sun set. And then there's the complimentary breakfast! Patrick and Amber gather fresh eggs laid by their hens (that you can feed should you wish) accompanied by fresh bread, butter, hand made jams/marmalade and fabulous coffee! I'll be honest, it’s not easy to please us. Having worked on the luxury travel industry for over a decade, we can get picky. But I'd pick Valley Views Glamping 100 times over and recommend it to everyone i know. Hot tip: if you can afford it and it's available definitely book the Station Peak Dome. Trust me. 😍

Nothing to be honest. It was shared kitchen which I'm not usually a fan of but you can easily flow as you like to connect or avoid people. And it has more facilities, tea, coffee, hot chocolate and award winning wine/beer options than the best hotels.

Great Hosts, Fantastic setup and comfortable. Very much an experience destination. Facilities and amenties were well catered for. A well run operation. Highly Recomend for 1-2 nights.

Showers/baths were far from the domes but thats part of the experience.
