Very high quality, good price and wow Castletown is buzzing these days with wine bars, restaurants and entertainment in the square

Very minor - but the locks on the front door including the key pads were low quality and a bit awkward to use

In an excellent location, overlooking the sea. Regular bus service just around the corner and very good value for money. Car parking was easy and close by. Apartment was spotless, with all required facilties and more. Well laid out and very comfortable, nice patio overlooking the sea. Overall a peaceful week and enjoyable stay.

Noisy on Saturday night, with last visitors coming in around 1am with hob nail boots. (not a fault of the hosts.)

Great apartment, very clean and well kitted out. Perfect location with lots of places to eat and drink locally and easy access to the rest of the island.

The TV was very glitchy and on a couple of days, almost unwatchable.

Location was excellent right in the middle of town. Stanley’s restaurant next door serving great food and coffee.

Spring mattress would have preferred memory foam. No elevator and would have liked a choice of floor. We were on top floor and my husband has a bad hip. Not ideal for seniors carrying luggage up 3 floors.

I loved it, the decor was to my taste, everything was there that we needed. The location was perfect.

There was nothing I didn’t like, only one thing I can think of that would have been useful is a little dustpan and brush. We had a Chinese meal and dropped the prawn crackers on the floor and accidentally treaded on one which left crumbs. I like to keep it clean and I could only use my hands to clean it up. Which meant there were still pieces I couldn’t get to, where a little brush would have been handy. Other than that everything was perfect. I shall be booking regular stays!

Beautiful apartment with dual aspect, castle one way and sea the other. Lovely shared terrace for breakfast overlooking the water, wasn’t ever busy. Everything you could want or need for a stay - long or short. Easy walk to the middle of town. Just really, really nicely done.

This is nitpicking but the walk-in shower must have been designed by someone smaller than 6ft as the support rail from glass pane to the wall is low and right where you need to stand to get under the fixed shower head. I’m 6ft 3 and kept on knocking my head on it. There was plenty of space to extend the glass pane further away from the shower head or to put in a taller one, no idea why this wasn’t done.

Easy check in and then we used the key code for access. Great view over the castle and everything you needed in the apartment. Quiet on the top floor and if the weather had been better the roof terrace would have been great.

Quite expensive, and the bedroom was very small - understandable as it is a converted building so space is what it is, but something to be aware of. Living area was very generous and comfortable.

Fabulous location for visiting the island. Plenty of pubs, cafés and nice restaurants in the town. The coop supermarket is just up the road. Beautiful sea views from one side of the Appartment and a view of the castle from the other side. It is spotlessly clean and beautifully furnished. The bed is super comfy and the towels are luxurious. The Appartment is serviced daily - very much as a hotel room but you have the advantage of being self catering as regards meals and privacy.

There wasn’t anything I disliked

Location was perfect. The apartment and building were spotlessly clean. Loved the outdoor space.

Bed was very soft. No cork screw. Had to borrow one from the gentleman on site and that broke, sorry. :(

Good location. Apartment was small but perfect and had everything we needed and it had good views and lovely big windows.

The central location. Convenient to shops, bus and restaurant. Easy access to all amenities and locations. Will definitely stay again if possible in the future.

No towel rails in the bathroom. The heater rack (not working) is not really convenient to hang large towels to dry. The kitchen worksurface could do with more light and cupboard downlights would be great. Other than those two minor items all was well laid out.

The staff kindly placed anniversary balloons in our room for our anniversary

I liked the location right in the middle of the old town, the concierge was pleasant enough (we didn't have a very long conversation), the WiFi and TV was good, communication with the landlord was good.

I needed an overnight stay to be close to a two-day music event, so I booked the apartment in the same town. After my first enquiry I got told that the apartment was not available before 15:00 on the day - but when I rang the doorbell at 14:30 (the weather was really bad, and I wanted to get in and unpack), the concierge opened immediately, handed me my door keys for an apartment on the ground floor ... and was gone. The concierge was pleasant enough, but didn't show me around the apartment or explained the facilities to me. I should have insisted on that, because - as it turned out - I wasn't able to get the heating in the bathroom going - over two days. So the shower was a very unpleasant experience: everything got cold and wet, nothing was able to dry out. And that set the tone for the overall experience: - Ground floor rooms are usually a bit darker than rooms in higher levels, so the mainly dark color scheme of the walls didn't help. And the bedroom window went out to another wall, maybe 2 metres away. - One outer wall in the living room/kitchen was mouldy, but since you couldn't open the windows, you couldn't dry it out. - In the kitchen there were no lights under the cupboards - you only had the chandelier on the ceiling as a light, but since you stood with the back to it, the working surface of the kitchen was overshadowed. - One lamp had a broken light, but since I was only there for a night, I did not bother. - Doors were partially blocked by cupboards, so you couldn't open them fully. - The mattress was very tired, and it was a Queen bed - so there would be no chance for two people to have a good nights sleep. Bottom line: As much as I liked the location, I did not like the experience staying in the apartment. You really got the feeling that someone wanted to take as much money from you as possible (in this case 150 GBP), but did not want to do/invest much for it.

Be careful of bathroom sink. Turn on water to fast..you could get water in your lap! But after you learn the first time, not a big deal.

Centre of Castletown. We showed up hours earlier than expected (in October) and we were given keys to our room.

Needs a light over exterior front door for late evenings.

Generally everything was great. I did book a sea view room but I wouldn’t consider one window in the bedroom as a proper sea view.

We enjoyed our stay here: Really comfortable apartment with everything we needed. The staff were helpful and friendly. Location is also great for visiting south of the island.

This was an extremely luxurious apartment right in the centre of Castletown. A view out the lounge windows of the castle opposite and out the rear of the stone jetty and the rolling sea. Bars, restaurants, supermarkets and bus stops all within 2 minutes walk with the steam train to Douglas only a slow 10 minute walk. It was the type of apartment that if the weather meant that I couldn't leave it, I would still be happy. A lovely bathroom with great water pressure, piping hot water and with all the apartments being separated by the grand staircase down the middle of the property meant that we didn't hear a soul during our stay! We intend to return quite regularly as this town and the island are a hidden gem!

Lovely comfortable property in the town centre with costal views and castle views Spacious lounge with well equipped kitchen and dining area. The shower room has plenty of big white towels and complimentary toiletries The bed was extremely comfortable with a great sea view The bedding can be changed regularly if you have an extended stay.

We felt the bedroom was on the small side with a bit of a squeeze to get into the left hand side of the bed but nothing much could change that. We were staying for a longer time than most people I suppose We got used to it.

Well appointed spacious apartment in the heart of Castletown We were on the third floor (no lift) so views to the castle and the sea are lovely Beautifully clean with plenty of cooking implements if you don’t want to eat out. The shops are a few meters away for collecting anything you need. Bedroom was spacious with plenty of wardrobe space for hanging clothes and storing suitcases etc. The bed was extremely comfortable Parking wasn’t an issue as we had an allocated space in a private car park behind the apartment building. The Square outside is lively with films on for the kids table tennis etc. The restaurant Stanley’s is next door and you can hear conversations going on from there in the apartment but this was during the day not at night time. There’s also some private outdoor space for the apartment building above the restaurant which was appreciated and used by us.

A gem of an apartment which was lovely and clean, well appointed and in one of the best locations on the Isle of Man. The bed was extremely comfortable and the shower was great.

It would have been good to know about the Southern 100 event which started just after we left so we missed it. It involves Castletown but was difficult to find information on before arriving.

The property is right in the centre of Castletown perfect for all the Southern 100 events which is why we were there. Fantastic Restaurant underneath which is well worth a visit and also good pubs in walking distance. The property is kept spotless and William can’t do enough for you. A big plus while we were there was the outdoor seating area which was perfect in the afternoon sat relaxing looking out to sea..perfect!

Lighting in the bathroom especially the mirrors is a bit pathetic more for show than seeing yourself. Also no toilet brush in the bathroom. The bedroom was quite small there wasn’t much room to get around and we had to get ready one at a time

The location of the apartment was excellent. The accommodation was spotlessly clean & very comfortable with excellent toilet, shower & kitchen facilities.

The bedroom was a little cramped although the bed was comfortable. The WiFi was a little slow & stretched at times. The car park was a free, public car park at the rear of the building. Some spaces were limited to 2hrs, some reserved spaces & others 24hour parking. In general, finding a parking space was never an issue, but without a reserved space it was a worry when returning from a day trip.

Fab view of the castle from the sitting room. And sea view from bedroom. Modern, clean, well equipped, comfy sofa, smart TV. Safe free parking immediately behind the property. Nice touch to find a few basics like washing up liquid; dishwasher tablets etc.

Lighting in shower room - needs brighter lighting for the mirror. Bedroom is compact.
