Real Hostel

The location is great, close to Koh Touch peir, the beach is right in front of the hotel. They also have restaurant and mini mart which is so comforatble. I love the beach. The community in the island also friendly, nice, and peaceful. Local staffs are wonderful. They try very much to support you all time. I love the experience. P/s: the open group sunset tour by boat with Dara-the tourguide is absolutely a highlight. Must do!!

This is just a sharing information, not about some thing I dislike about the hotel. When I arrived at the hotel, I realize the Koh Rong Island have two piers, Koh Touch and Koh Rong Comunity is located in a peaceful local comunity area, while Long Set is where all the activities and bars for young people are. I still like to stay in Real though, just visit the Longset once is good for me. It just 10mins for motobike ride.

Location was good - by the beach. The staff friendly and flexbile. You can pay by card - not possible everywhere on the island. I had an ensuite room, was clean, quiet and spacious. They even lent me an umbrella as it was raining a bit that day and helped me with organising some day trip which I really enjoyed. Also the restaurant and coffee were good. I can recommend!

While the beach is really nice, the water seems clear I found out afterwards that the water is not really the best to swim - but this is in the whole area, not just the hotel. You can walk about 20' though and you are at a great and clean water beach. It's an island that is growing to the price is a bit higher than I was used to in the mainland. But it was worth it as its quiet and clean, compared to other hostels.

La chambre est très petite, Pas propre, Le personnel parle très mal anglais alors c’est très compliqué de se faire comprendre, Les murs sont en papier (préfabriqué en PVC) donc on entends absolument tout à l’extérieur, Il y a un coq qui hurle en continue à partir de 4h du matin. ATTENTION LE PIRE ! Et la l’hôtel devrait fermer ses portes car c’est inadmissible et dangereux !!! Il y a un disjoncteur dans la cabine de douche à côté du robinet pour régler l’eau. Il est si proche de l’eau que le disjoncteur saute à chaque fois qu’on prend une douche. C’est une honte ! Et pour finir il facture 40USD LA NUIT.

Emplacement, gentillesse du personnel.

L’emplacement était top avec plage juste à côté. Le personnel était agréable et réactif. Le petit balcon est sympa pour se poser.

La chambre n’était vraiment pas très propre (draps et serviettes sales, évier bougé…). Malheureusement au vu du prix payé on s’attendait à mieux…

De centrale ligging en het huisje zijn prima. Tevens kon je goed en voor weinig geld eten op het terras bij het strand dat bij de accommodatie hoort.

Het personeel kwam met een enkele uitzondering wat ongeïnteresseerd en chagrijnig over. Dat is jammer want verder is dit een prima accommodatie.

Уютный номер. В номере есть все что нужно: чайник, кофе, вода, холодильник, фен и халаты. Первая линия. Очень удобно что у отеля свой ресторан и магазин. Также у отеля есть лежаки. В целом номер хороший и уютный, мы остались довольны.

Positive: The location is excellent—right in front of the beach and close to the Koh Toch pier, yet quiet with no street noise.

Negative: The towels and bed sheets were dirty. Although we requested replacements and they were changed, the new ones were also unclean. As a result, we never felt comfortable staying there and decided to leave before the end of our paid stay. Also, the owner doesn’t answer booking.com chats

Выбрали Real отель и не пожалели. Комната A-07 в идеальном состоянии, светлая, чистая, просторная с видом на море. Кровать удобная, есть место для работы и столик для макияжа. Кондиционер, вентилятор и все точки освещения с управлением от пультов исправны. Горячая вода в номере постоянно. Сантехника также исправна, душ с хорошим напором воды, но в кране для умывания напор воды слабоват. Терраса замечательная и удобно расположена. На входе есть душ для смывания песка. Персонал периодически интересуется, нужна ли нам питьевая вода, кофе, уборка номера. Прекрасное расположение 5-7 минут пешком до порта, рядом с небольшим одноименным магазином (принимают карты без комиссии) и рестораном с потрясающей едой прямо на пляже с белоснежным чистым песком. В пляжном ресторане играет приятная музыка, создавая идеальную атмосферу для отдыха у моря. Вечером постоянно барбекю. Цены на еду ниже среднего по острову. Люди здесь очень дружелюбные, отзывчивые! Мы настоятельно рекомендуем остановиться здесь!

Самый главный и жирный ➕, это расположение!!! Рядом кафешки, магазин прям при отеле. Минута ходьбы от номера, и ты уже на пляже 🏖️ В номерах чистенько и уютно. Все что надо имеется. Отдельное спасибо администратору. К сожалению не узнал её имя☺️ Всегда была рада помочь ☺️

The location just across the road from the beach, although a cleaner and better beach was about 200 metres further away from the jetties. The bungerlows were spacious and modern. Staff cleaned the room every two days. Evening meals in the restaurant on the beach were excellent

Great location, really nice restaurant attached to the hotel serving food and drinks all day. Room was as the pictures show. Only thing I’d recommend is if you want new towels or the room cleaned speak to the friendly staff, as this isn’t a routine each day check.

Мы с большим удовольствием провели в этом отеле 8 ночей, при этом нам пришлось несколько раз менять номера, так как не было возможности забронировать один номер. Поэтому мы смогли посмотреть разные номера. Часть номеров прошла реновацию, и они более современные, но и номера без реновации достойны. Самое главное - отличная локация, хороший интернет, горячая вода и кондиционер. Очень рекомендую ресторан отеля- мы однозначно выбрали его.

Great stuff, very good food, great location:)

Very comfortable, modern room with a great private bathroom. We also had a great balcony. The staff were really friendly. We even got 15% discount on food down in the restaurant. It’s in a really great location near Koh Touch Pier.

It can be a little noisy at night as all the restaurants and bars play quite loud music but it’s nothing that stopped us from sleeping.

I really enjoyed my stay here. Staff was friendly, it was clean, the bungalow was big enough and had good AC and a balcony. Food at the restaurant was good and prices fair (Hostel guests get a discount). A Supermarket is available as well.

It is a bit loud at night when your bungalow is close to the beach. It could be a bit cleaner outside the bungalows.

Don't get discouraged by the name, this is not a hostel, we stayed in a small self-contained unit with a balcony. The location is perfect, it is a few minutes' walk from Koh Touch, where the ferry port is. There are many restaurants nearby, and the beach is just opposite. The room was spacious and clean, and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was also clean. A kettle and a hairdryer are provided. The room also has a small fridge, which is very useful. There is both a fan and A/C. And you also get a discount at the hotel's restaurant if you stay there.

There were a couple of electricity blackouts, I don't know if that is a general problem for the island or specific to this hotel. Once we also had no water, but they fixed it by the end of the day. The Wi-fi was also quite unreliable, but there are plenty of places nearby offering free wi-fi as well, so it wasn't a big problem. The room wasn't cleaned while we stayed there, but I am sure they would have done it if we asked. There were a couple of sachets of coffee and tea when we arrived, but they were not replenished. It would have been nice to get these each day or more for the whole stay. There was no wardrobe, only a small area to hang your clothes with 2 hangers. At least a few more hangers would have been needed.

Besonders hervorheben möchten wir das Essen: Es war mit Abstand das beste Essen unserer gesamten Reise – frisch, unglaublich lecker und mit viel Liebe zubereitet. Allein dafür würden wir jederzeit wiederkommen! Auch das Personal hat unseren Aufenthalt perfekt gemacht. Alle Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeiter waren außerordentlich freundlich, herzlich und hilfsbereit. Man hat sich vom ersten Moment an willkommen gefühlt, und bei Fragen oder Wünschen wurde immer sofort geholfen. Die Atmosphäre im Hostel ist entspannt und angenehm, man fühlt sich schnell wie zu Hause. Wir können das Real Hostel uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen und würden jederzeit wieder dort übernachten. Vielen Dank für diesen tollen Aufenthalt!

I had a small room but private and air conditioned and a hot shower after hitting up a bunch of hostels it was refreshing but a little bit of expensive I probably could have done it for half as much I paid $45 us

Our bungalow was so lovely, I wouldn’t even call it a “hostel”. The rooms were great. Some days we got even electrolytes or energy drink powder in addition to free coffee and tea. The room is cleaned every two days. The room had a good AC, a nice bed, makeup table with a mirror, fridge, a modern private bathroom and a small seating area on the front patio. The location is literally two steps from the beach. There are many restaurants within walking distance. The seafront restaurant in front of the hotel was one of the best on the island for both the prices and the quality. Additionally, guests get another 15% off at the restaurant.

The staff however is not too friendly and seems rather tired. The shower always floods the entire bathroom because the tiles are inclined towards the toilet not the drain Wi-Fi was weak. There were power cuts every day, but each one lasted about just five minutes. Unfortunately every time the power came back, the light switched on in the room which was particularly uncomfortable during the night.

i cant find a fault with this property and will book there again . i went around koh toch and viewed 8 -9 rooms and chose real hostel. its not a hostel ..we had a vip private room very modern and clean and worth the money. theres a lot of cheap, old and dirty rooms around in town if your on a very low budget ..this place was the best

The location is ideal — just a short walk from restaurants and main attractions, yet in a quiet area away from the nightlife. The property is connected to a well-stocked minimarket and a lovely outdoor restaurant where the food was truly delicious, with plenty of options at very reasonable prices. My overall experience was very positive: the staff were incredibly friendly and always smiling. I also appreciated that on the day of my departure they kept my luggage so I could enjoy the day before catching the ferry.

Our bungalow wasn’t exactly as shown in the pictures and was a little bit dusty, though nothing too concerning. It might have just been our case, as the other bungalows seemed to be in better condition.

Great bungalows in Koh Toach, good sized room and bathroom. Staff were lovely and the room was serviced every 2 days. Just 50 m from beach with a great little restaurant attached to Hostel. There is a shop also ALL accept credit cards which is a great bonus on this Island. We loved our stay off season it was good value for money.

There is only 1 downside to staying here, Dream nightclub which is very near Hostel. Of course if you want to stay up dancing till 6am great if not you will still get the vibes???

There are a lot of mosquitoes in the room. The room is relatively basic as is the bathroom. Needs a mirror in the room.

The cabins are really sweet and a lot more modern than we expected. The aircon is amazing which is so needed for the island. We had a problem with mosquitos in the bathroom the first day however after telling the lady who worked there she sorted this out immediately, after that we had no issue. Really good location right in the heart of the island but also set back enough so that it is not loud at night.

Location was great, right at the beach a short walk away from the main pier of the island. The room was simple but nice with a big window overlooking the ocean.

The room was not clean when we arrived as the floor was covered in dead bugs. Staff offered to clean the room but left large parts of the room dirty. A trash bag from previous guests was left outside the room for 2 days. Electricity cuts were frequent. Internet did not work for a couple of days and the issue was fixed by staff after we asked twice. On the last day, there was no water in the bathroom. We asked staff to fix the issue but they did not by checkout time. While insects and electricity/water/internet cuts are totally understandable in such a remote location, 40 US dollars per night in Koh Rong are definitely not worth it.

The bungalow is clean, modern and pretty with good working air-conditioning. Close to the sea, but still quiet at nights (mostly, not on Saturday nigjt, but it's okay). The restaurant and the convenience store are also very good, connecting to the property.

The mosquito situation, but it's not the fault of the property. TIP: buy a smoking mosquito repellent, a mosquito coil, it works pretty good!

Loud music played through the loudspeakers at the reception/restaurant area until late night not taking into consideration that some guests want to go to bed and not Larry like the rest of the people in Khao Touch. During the booking hotel didn’t have the decency to inform me that there was a construction site right outside my bedroom window. Builders were working from 7am every single day of the week. I didn’t sleep for nine days. The bed linen are not washed with hot water or properly so they are full of stains like sweat stains and blood stains. There is a gap between the walls of the bathroom and bathroom ceiling, allowing mosquito to get inside. I was eaten alive every single night. The restaurant quality of the hotel is very low but this this the standard of the quality of the food on the entire island. There is loads of rubbish dumped by the staff around the bungalows or even under the bungalows such as old bed frames, massage beds, building site left over and other refuses.
