Robins Rest

It was warm, cosy, comfortable, quiet and beautiful. Jenny the owner was a wonderful host with attention to detail. Nothing was a problem. She went way above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay. Breakfast was included and she provided everything we needed plus freshly baked bread 😋 which was delicious. Not too far to restaurants for dinner. The bed was extremely comfortable.

There was nothing that we didn’t like and would definitely stay here again in a heartbeat.

Tot fantàstic. El lloc encantador, esmorzar excel·lent. Propietària molt agradable. Gossos i gat molt simpàtics. Llàstima haver-hi estat només una nit.

El coixí una mica bonyegut. En quan surt el sol entra força llum. Si necessiteu foscor per dormir pot molestar una mica. Però és una cosa general a Irlanda.

Der Garten ist sehr liebevoll angelegt. Die Umgebung ist ruhig und in der Hütte ist alles vorhanden, was man so braucht. Die Gastgeberin ist sehr freundlich und hat uns leckeres frisches Brot gebracht.

In der Hütte hat es ein wenig muffig gerochen.

Great location, very secure, clean, secluded and comfortable. Had everything we could have asked for and more. Jenny was a fantastic host, very welcoming, friendly and helpful. She went above and beyond to make our stay perfect.

Robins Rest was Very private and quiet. Jenny was a fabulous hostess and made us feel very welcome. She was there if needed to answer any questions. She provided homemade bread and many extras. We had a fabulous stay.

Jenny went above and beyond for our stay. Nothing was too much trouble. Fresh homemade food for breakfast was a lovely touch. The cabin was really well furnished and had everything you need. There is privacy and a generous garden. It is 5 minutes from the beach and a good base for day adventures. Would highly recommend and hope to be back some day.

The place was amazing, we were welcomed with freshly warm bread. It was raining and Jenny offered us an umbrella and she even asked us if we wanted a lift to the wedding we were attending! I can't recommend the place enough! 😊

We had an amazing time at Robin’s Place! Spotless clean, quiet, amazingly furnished and immersed in stunning nature. Jenny is a wonderful host and very kind. She provided us with all we needed and more! From home made bread to sleep masks and eye patches - she really thought about everything. Recommendations were great as well :) we really hope to be back soon!

Absolutely stunning place! The area is gorgeous, the Robins Rest is so comfortable and cosy. It’s like home away from home. Jenny, the host, is an absolute delight, so helpful, so thoughtful and so easy going! Couldn’t meet nicer and she goes above and beyond. It’s well worth staying here. Relaxing, scenic, cosy, welcoming and the homemade bread is just the icing on the cake!

Robins rest was like a ‘granny flat’, a stand alone cabin with its own private garden and everything contained inside. Jenny went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable providing an amazing breakfast basket, including freshly baked bread and eggs from her hens! ‘Oodies’ or bathrobes were available and just a good sized accomodation space to spread out. Jenny was chatty and helpful, sharing location ideas and also provided a laundry service…very handy during our road trip of Ireland.

I loved EVERYTHING about this accommodation; our hostess was super responsive and thought of everything to make the space special and comfortable right down to the fresh-from-the-oven rolls and the fairy lights that made me smile. We'll be staying here again (hopefully soon)!

L'accueil vraiment très chaleureux, le meilleur ayons reçu en Irlande . Superbe petit logement avec tout le nécessaire, très cosy. Excellent petit déjeuner, très copieux avec pain fait maison. Les conseils pour trouver un restaurant et les lieux touristiques à voir aux alentours.

This cottage was exceptionally fitted out with many nicities added. The breakfast basket was wonderful, it was very quiet and Jenny couldn't have been more helpful.

Die Gastgeberin ist sehr engagiert und hat jeden Wunsch versucht im voraus festzustellen und dann zu erfüllen. Robinson Rest hat einen ganz besonderen Charme. Sehr idyllisch. Jede Empfehlung zu Ausflügen und zu guten Restaurants war perfekt. Vor unserem Ausflug zu den Slieve Leagues hat sie dort angerufen, ob dort geöffnet ist. Es war sehr stürmisch und sie wollte einfach nicht, dass wir umsonst dorthin fahren. Das Frühstück war perfekt. Selbst gebackenes Brot 😍 So eine tolle, engagierte Inhaberin haben wir bisher nur hier kennengelernt. Einzigartig.🤩💯 VIELEN DANK.

Superb hosts

The host, Jenny, is an absolute angel. She basically recused us 😝 She was extremely kind and helpful. The place is just as beautiful as you see in the pictures if not more so. It is very quiet, peaceful, warm, and very clean. The water heater, which is very important to me, works amazing. The breakfast is great and huge in portion, most of it homemade, fresh, and yummy! And Jenny’s freshly baked bread is to die for ❤️ The stay was an absolute dream and the best BnB experience I’ve ever had. If I ever find myself back in Donegal, definitely staying here again.

Literally can’t find anything to complain about ❤️ Except, Maddy, you should have let me pet you 😝 I’m kidding of course! Nothing but love for Maddy the kitty.

The cabin was spotless and was equipped with everything required for a break away. The location is perfect and the scenery is breathtaking.

I booked Robins Rest for my son and his partner for his birthday, from start to finish Jenny was so helpful and friendly, I'm sure my son will leave an excellent review as they had a ball, Jenny totally spoiled them and the little visitors were a special touch.

There was nothing to dislike, a lovely little hideaway surrounded by beautiful views.

Jenny was an amazing host, from the moment we arrived till we left she couldn't do enough for us.. From the specially made breakfast basket to the little treats and beauty products everything was exceptional.. she is one special lady .. And we will definitely be back ❤️

Jenny is absolutely wonderful and she operates such a beautiful place. Robins rest was definitely the highlight of our trip around Ireland. The breakfast was fabulous, the bread to die for. There were restaurant recommendations, activity recommendations, and loads of information provided about things to do and see in the surrounding area. We had an itinerary but definitely adjusted some based on the information Jenny took the time to provide for her guests. 10/10 we would stay again a million times over if we could.

Loved everything - amazing abundant hamper of breakfast foods. Jenny catered for my vegan milk needs. The cabin was so relaxing, cosy and warm - I can’t believe how warm it is inside! I visited at the end of November and it was the warmest I’d felt for weeks. It was also spotlessly clean. Lighting is important for me and this was perfect, to have the option for low lighting in the evening. It’s in a great wee location for exploring, and has everything you need to totally relax. Jenny is such a kind of warm-hearted person and her kindness made the stay so lovely. I got what I needed from the trip, plus a lot more. Thank you!

The log cabin was very cosy and comfortable with a private garden area and lovely rural view. The owner was very friendly and hospitable. She left us a generous basket of items to make our own breakfast, including homemade bread and freshly laid eggs. If you are looking for a peaceful location in the Donegal countryside, then we would highly recommend Robin's Rest.

La cabane de Robin Rest est aussi chaleureuse que son hôte. Le gîte est isolé de l habitation principale , le coin jardin est féerique . Le petit déjeuner préparé par Jennifer était généreux et son pain exquis . Le plus beau gîte que nous ayons eu jusqu’à ce jour on s’y sent comme dans un cocon . Merci ☺️

Everything, from checkin to checkout and everything in between. Our favourite place. Felt like being at home. So warm and cozy. My boys absolutely loved the bread and snacks. Loved Maggie and Jenny is so approachable and lovely. Has everything you need. Jenny sets a standard that no other place can match. My boys didn’t want to leave and we would have stayed but they were booked up!! It’s the little things that make a huge difference and other places could take a leaf out of Jenny’s book!!

There was nothing to not like.

Het was een ontzettend leuk huisje op het erf van Jenny. Hele goede prijs/kwaliteit. Alles wat je nodig hebt is aanwezig en meer! Het hoogtepunt is toch wel echt Jenny als host. Het welkom was warm (het afscheid trouwens ook), we kregen een enorme welkoms mand met verse producten en ze had echt de perfecte balans tussen er zijn voor ons en ons privacy geven. Super huisje en super host!

Het bed had van mij iets breder gemogen en het matras iets minder zacht. Maar geen groot ding.

Sehr gemütliches Einraumgartenhaus mit Toilette und Dusche sowie Küchenzeile, Sofa, Sideboard bzw. kleiner Theke zum Essen mit zwei Stühlen. Alles da, Privatsphäre vorhanden. Unterkunft sehr ruhig gelegen, wunderbarer Garten mit schönem Ausblick, liebevolle Ausstattung. Nähe zur Rossnowlagh Beach und Ballyshannon. Gutes Bett, gut ausgestattete Küche. Man fühlt sind absolut willkommen, sehr herzliche Gastgeberin die für ihr Projekt lebt. Leckeres Frühstück, u.a. mit selbstgebackenem Brot, selbstgemachter Butter und Marmelade.

Wir hatten nur gutes Wetter und konnten wunderbar draußen Frühstücken und auch Abends essen. Ansonsten hätten wir uns einen Esstisch gewünscht.

C’est notre coup de cœur de notre voyage en Irlande. Jenny est très adorable, au petit soin, parfaite. Son petit chalet est un nid douillet dans lequel on se sent super bien dedans comme dehors. Très propre, très bien équipé, très bien situé. Je le recommande ++++

Jenny ist fanatisch! Eine sehr offene, freundliche, herzliche Frau, die es sich nehmen lassen hat uns persönlich zu begrüßen und zu verabschieden. Der Begrüßungskorb und der Snackkorb waren fanatisch und das Brot noch warm. Wir haben sogar am 2 Tag nochmal frisches Brot bekommen. Die Unterkunft ist wirklich liebevoll eingerichtet und Entspannung steht an oberster Stelle hier. Auch zu dritt hat man immer noch genug Platz. Die Küche ist gut ausgestattet und hat alles was man braucht. Das Badezimmer ist sauber und wirklich schön. Der Garten beim Häuschen ist ebenso liebevoll hergerichtet und lädt ein zum Seele baumeln lassen. (Leider hat bei uns das Wetter nicht mitgespielt) Und natürlich dürfen wir Maggie nicht vergessen! Man hat einfach für die Zeit des Aufenthalts einen Gasthund (wenn es für einen okay ist). Sie ist so unfassbar lieb und genießt die Gäste. Einfach toll. Wir sind begeistert von Jenny und dem Robins Rest!!!

Jenny gave us a lovely breakfast basket which included freerange eggs, yoghurts, fruit and delicious soda bread made by Jenny herself. The cabin is very private and I really enjoyed sitting in the private garden.

EVERYTHING! Robins Rest is just magical - I would absolutely recommend more than 1 night to enjoy this hidden gem! Fantastic communication and welcome. It was just the best place to recharge after travelling around Ireland and to prepare for the next leg of the journey. Our 2 year old was living his best life during our stay here and had the best fun in such a kind, caring, welcoming place! Thank you ever so much :)

The cottage is gorgeous, and so is the garden, but I'd like to share something a bit different. During our week in Ireland, we stayed in four different places. This cottage was the only one where we actually saw and chatted with a person. I know, I know, we're totally in the age of key lockers and digital messages. But honestly, we've been to a couple of spots where they've seen us pull up in the car and didn't even give us a wave! Luckily there's Jenny, who puts her heart and soul into making you feel right at home. A huge thank you, Jenny, for your incredible generosity and all those thoughtful little touches. We really hope to come back someday! P.S. Maggie the dog is super sweet and gentle ❤️

Everything was perfect :)

The cabin was carefully decorated and had everything possibly needed (even a hair mask!). The bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was delicious, equipped with a nice homemade bread. There are restaurants and pubs within 20min driving, which was perfect for dinner.

Cosy country retreat and a beautiful host

It was a little out of town, but you need a car to get there so this is no problem, only a short drive.

We felt right at home from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. Jenny prepared a delicious breakfast and made my secret dream come true meeting the sheep!

Lovely spot out of the way but near the beach and Ballyshannon everything was well thought out by Jenny even hand written pages of local and within an hour's drive of places to visit, peace and quiet was just what we wanted
