Riad Kitula

Centrally located near everything in the Medina. The Riad itself is gorgeous, it’s like being in a magazine or a movie, so well designed and aesthetically pleasing. The staff couldn’t be nicer, everything you need, they will do for you. The rooms are comfortable, albeit if you are tall, watch out for some of the lower ceilings (but this is common). Breakfast is delicious and they have a beautiful rooftop to enjoy. And there is a pool to cool off.

Nothing really. The owner of the Riad next door tends to hang around outside the Riad and will ask you to go eat at his place (repeatedly). While a bit annoying, you can always say no and move on. But that is also standard practice in Marrakesh.

Incredibly quiet. All the staff were wonderful but Ayoub made the trip extra special. He was very organised, kind, helpful and friendly. The garden (riad) was beautiful and the proximity to Medina brilliant (less than 5 mins easy walk to main square and souks etc).

Everything good and the rooms spacious and exceptionally quiet but the twin room has a bathroom up stairs and with a low (4ft6ins) doorway and so older or tall guests might want to choose a different room. This is only the case in the twin room. However it was very clean, unbelievably quiet and spacious. Two large king beds and it didn't feel cramped. The great location, quiet rooms, central location and exceptional staff would definitely win out over a low doorway!

An absolute gem! From the moment we arrived, we felt at home. The staff were incredibly kind, welcoming, always smiling, and genuinely caring. The riad is beautiful, spotless, and so peaceful. The breakfast was amazing, and the location is simply the best in Marrakech—everything is within walking distance, yet the riad feels like a quiet oasis. Waking up to the hot air balloons in the morning was magical. Thank you for making our stay so special. We can’t wait to come back! ❤️🇲🇦

Un po’ di rumore sul aria condizionata. Ma è stato soltanto un dettaglio in confronto alla accoglienza che abbiamo ricevuto!

Hemos disfrutado muchísimo de nuestra estancia en Riad Kitula. Lo que más destacamos es el trato de todo el personal, especialmente de Samir, que fue muy amable desde antes de nuestra llegada y siempre estuvo pendiente de que no nos faltara nada. Nos ayudó con el traslado, resolvió todas nuestras dudas y también nos organizó nuestra escapada a Agafay en buggy, que fue una experiencia de 10. Las habitaciones son muy espaciosas y el riad tiene muchísimo encanto. Uno de mis momentos favoritos era estar junto a la piscina. Es difícil describir la sensación, pero era como estar en plena selva tropical, rodeada del sonido de los pájaros y la vegetación. Me recordaba a esos audios relajantes que pones para dormir. Era un auténtico remanso de paz en medio del bullicio de Marrakech. Las cenas y el desayuno nos gustaron mucho y, en general, nos llevamos un recuerdo precioso de nuestra estancia. Sin duda, volveríamos y lo recomendaríamos a cualquiera que busque un riad con encanto, un trato cercano y un equipo que realmente se preocupa por que disfrutes de tu viaje.

Como único punto a mejorar, creemos que algunas zonas del riad agradecerían un poco más de mantenimiento, pero es un detalle que no impidió que disfrutáramos de una experiencia fantástica.

The best part of our stay was how friendly the staff were! They were always there to help with anything we needed and made us feel very relaxed and welcomed. The location was also ideal right in the middle of the medina and close to lots of nice restaurants. The property itself was very comfortable with air conditioning and the room was beautiful.

Some aspects were a little outdated the towels and sun beds were a bit worn out but this is nothing too bad.

Une décoration locale sans l'être trop. De beaux meubles, vraiment un bel endroit. Le bord de la piscine est très agréable pour se poser en fin de journée avec une boisson fraiche. Toutes les chambres sont différentes et chacune a son charme. Petit déjeuner copieux et excellent, des fruits frais, des pains marocains différents tous les matins, du cake, du yaourt, un jus d'orange frais pressé et un excellent café. Le personnel est adorable. L'emplacement est parfait: juste à l'entrée de la médina ce qui est pratique pour attraper un taxi, à 3 minutes de la place Jemaa el Fna et du souk pour ceux qui veulent.

The riad is absolutely beautiful and very pleasant. The pool is large, the rooms are spacious, and the breakfast is incredibly generous, delicious, and authentic. However, what I will remember most and what truly made my stay exceptional is the staff: Ayoub, Oussama, Mustafa, and Samir. They were extraordinarily kind, caring, welcoming, friendly, and genuinely wonderful. They went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable throughout our entire stay and paid attention to every detail. As a Moroccan myself, I can confidently say that they perfectly embody the warmth, generosity, and hospitality that Moroccans are known for. I have never had such a perfect hotel experience anywhere else, and it is entirely thanks to them. I will definitely return to this riad on my next visit, not only because of the beautiful property, but also because I would love to see them again. Thank you for making this stay so memorable. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The only minor point I would mention is that the bathroom in our room felt a little small. As a suggestion rather than a criticism, I think a few additional touches could make the experience even more special: liquid soap in the bathroom, more Moroccan-inspired amenities such as orange blossom-scented products or diffusers, and slippers in the room. These are simply small extras that could further enhance an already wonderful stay. Overall, our experience was absolutely perfect, and this did not affect our enjoyment in any way.

Vi havde nogle dejlige dage her i Riad Kitula. Placering var perfekt, nemt at komme til og fra. Stedet og personalet var helt fantastiske, meget hjælpsomme og venlige. Det kan varmt anbefales, vi kommer med glæde igen!

Super vriendelijk en behulpzaam ontvangen, staan altijd klaar om je te helpen. Gastvrijheid zelfs tot na ons vertek. Ontbijt is een waar festijn! Overheerlijk en zeer royaal. De kamer was een fijne ontdekking. Het zwembad een heerlijke afkoeling. Locatie is perfect gelegen om de medina te ontdekken. Van het begin tot het einde een topverblijf. We voelden ons heel erg welkom!

The staff were nice. Ayoub was very efficient and accommodating. The location was central. It was near the markets/establishments. You just need to figure out maze-like streets.

A nossa estadia no Riad Kitula correspondeu e excedeu às expectativas. O ponto que mais ressalvo foi o atendimento do staff, sempre impecável e disponível para ajudar ou resolver qualquer problema. O pequeno-almoço também era ótimo e a localização do Riad muito boa para quem quer ficar perto da Medina. O Riad muito giro e um autêntico refúgio da confusão. Ainda nos marcaram uma excursão e não tivemos de nos preocupar com nada. Se voltar a Marraquexe certamente voltarei a ficar aqui.

No quarto Liana, as cortinas não são blackouts, pelo que entra muita luz (para quem é sensível). No entanto, falámos com o staff que imediatamente nos deu uma solução.

Das Personal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Als wir am ersten Tag ein kleines Problem mit dem Wasser hatten, kümmerte sich das Team sofort darum und löste es schnell. Man merkt, dass ihnen das Wohlbefinden der Gäste wirklich am Herzen liegt.

Gorgeous garden far more grown in than these pictures. The cute lady spends her day making sure the garden floor and chairs are free of any leaves. Endless sweeping. She was the best. The Riad staff were the most helpful and anticipatory we met in our two weeks in Morocco. Hearing the birds through our windows was a joy. Beds were comfy not too hard or soft.

A couple ‘even better if’s’: Wanted a couple hooks in bathroom to hang towels or your clothes as you get in and out of shower. Wanted a little soap dish at sink. So really, there was nothing we didn’t like! 🙂

Riad Kitula was not just a stay, it was an experience! The staff, property, room, guests, food and service were top notch. Extra shoutout to the night shift staff who always greeted us kindly, answered our questions, and got us anything we needed.

Absolutely perfect. Not only is it beautiful but the staff were very accommodating and the nicest people. We got there several hours before our check in time and they gave us the room so we could rest. The breakfast was great. And it is also in a great location walking distance from La Medina.

Não corresponde às imagens que apresentam. Os tapetes do quarto estavam sujos. O chuveiro funcionava mal. O pequeno almoço era muito básico. Parecia mais uma casa familiar do que um serviço semelhante a um hotel. A maior desilusão foi a piscina. Claramente não havia circulação de agua e esta parecia parada. No ultimo dia estiveram a encher a piscina com uma mangueira. O pátio estava desarranjado e descuidado. Após eu usar a toalha da piscina que tinha sido manchada por um pássaro, o funcionário da Riad voltou a enrolar a toalha na espreguiçadeira para o proximo hospede.

In the centre of the old medina, and yet peaceful and quiet The breakfasts were delicious and the staff most attentive. They could not do enough for us. The interiors were comfortable and spacious and the courtyard was cool even in the heat.

The stairs up to the queen room that we had were steep and twisty without hand rails. The pool was a bit cloudy and uninviting.The roof terrrsce was good if you wanted to sunbathe although very hot.

Riad Kitula was an excellent place to stay for a few days. It is really well located for the action in Medina, and for many of the sights, yet close enough to the edge to make going on tours elsewhere quick and easy. The building was charming, and really characterful. As were the rooms. It was clean and well maintained. It felt genuine and like being whisked back several decades. Bathtubs, fittings etc all had charm. It was a clam, tranquil haven in the hustle and bustle, and noise of the Medina! Breakfast was delicious. Above all the staff were really helpful and exceptionally pleasant - the service and friendliness were really welcome for us as visitors.

Nothing really....water went out for a few minutes on a couple of occasions. Not the Riad's fault. One or two minor things needed maintenance but no deal breakers.

The staff were so hospitable and attentive - they made our experience so amazing and were always on hand to help. The breakfast provided at the Riad each morning was also exceptional, such a lovely spread of fruits, pastries, yoghurts. The room was a great size and the beds were very comfortable. The location was also perfect distance from all major sights, restaurants and bars. Can’t recommend enough!

The room was lovely however wasn’t well ventilated, which meant it did have quite a musty smell. The hairdryer also didn’t work too well and would recommend bringing your own.

This place is truly exceptional, with some of the best hospitality we’ve experienced. The manager, Samir, was incredibly kind and helpful, and he and his staff consistently went above and beyond for us. A few examples: 1. We left early one morning for a hot air balloon excursion, and when we returned, Samir was genuinely concerned that we had missed breakfast. 2. The amlou served at breakfast was amazing. On our last day, I texted Samir asking where he bought it from, and he personally bought 9 bottles for us and even delivered them to the second riad we stayed at. 3. On the last day of our trip, my friend’s luggage lock got stuck. The receptionist at Dar Bonita was no help, so I reached out to Samir. He went out of his way to find a locksmith, and all we had to do was leave the luggage at the riad while we visited the YSL Museum. He handled everything for us. 4. Dar Bonita also messed up our airport transfer despite us confirming it in advance. Panicking, I contacted Samir, and he immediately arranged a car for us that same evening. He even sent a porter to collect our luggage from Dar Bonita. Returning to Riad Kitula felt like coming home — we were welcomed with tea and biscuits, and it was such a comforting experience. Overall, the staff here truly make you feel at home. Samir didn’t have to help with our luggage issue, airport transfer, restaurant recommendations, or amlou delivery, but he did it all so generously and without hesitation. If you’re looking for warm hospitality, spacious and clean rooms, and genuinely caring staff, stay here.

Everything about the stay was wonderful. The rooms, the food, and the kindness of the staff made me feel like I was at home.

Location was great. You could walk to the Medina and so many restaurants in the area. Jemaa el Fnaa is also close by. It was also a quiet oasis to relax in after a busy day. Breakfast everyday was simple and good. The staff were all so friendly—especially Salah and Mohammed. Thank you for going the extra mile for us. They always responded quickly whenever I sent a message before our stay and also during the stay. I highly recommend this place. You won’t be disappointed.

Die Lage ist super.

So schön die Pflanzen auch sind, ziehen Sie extrem viele Vögel sowie Insekten an. Machen viel Schmutz im Innenhof des Riads sodass der Pool und die liegen unbrauchbar sind. Auch die „Bar“ beim Pool ist äußerst ungepflegt und nicht in Betrieb. Im Treppenhaus war eine Mottenplage, die man sicher hätte, mit Fallen bekämpfen können. Außerdem roch es in unserem Zimmer, sehr modrig und nach Abfluss. Vor unserer Anreise versuchte ich, das Hotel zu kontaktieren. Bekam jedoch nur eine sehr kurze Nachricht und keine Antworten auf meine Fragen. Bei der Ankunft wurden weder herzlich begrüßt noch darüber aufgeklärt, wann das Frühstück oder wie die Abreise abläuft. Beim Frühstück wurden wir dann außerdem mit altem, trockenem Gebäck und verdorbenen Früchten erneut enttäuscht. Wer für viel Geld Urlaub machen möchte, der nur auf Instagram gut ausschaut ist hier gut aufgehoben. Wir waren nicht die richtige Zielgruppe. Wir waren froh, nur eine Nacht dort gewesen zu sein.

Zimmer war sehr schön und sehr ruhig.

Frühstück wurde mit dreckigem Geschirr geliefert.Das Frühstück generell nicht spektakulär. Der Innenhof des Riads war eher dreckig. Uns wurde gesagt wir können gerne den Pool nutzen. Aber der Pool und die Liegen waren wirklich dreckig.

When you arrive, the staff tells you that you're 'home,' and I think they really mean that. It feels like a tiny house property that you have total ability to move through and explore as you wish. Everyone is so sweet here and fun and funny. Above you, ripe oranges hang over the swimming pool, blooming flowers cascade down the walls, and it's a great location for exploring lovely sections of the old medina. Fresh orange juice is a bonus. As is the rooftop terrace. Water pressure was great. Breakfast was good, but not great.

The room I had (Limone) had a bed that was quite tight to the walls on either side. It was a four poster and I think if they just had a bed without the big frame, it would be much better. it was really hard to get in and out of the bed and it was just me. The sheets are also super starched, so when I was rolling over, it sounded quite loud. Weird, yeah. But it was a thing. This bathroom in this room is laid out in a really crazy way, where you go through a low door, into an alcove with the sink and shower, then step up into a weird enclave toilet. I'm 5'2" - i had no issues really. However, my husband who is only 5' 9" clocked his head multiple times. If you are over six feet, probably don't book the Limone room. Regardless of all that, I'd absolutely stay here again, for the price I paid ($120)

Amazing Riad!!! Great staff, location, and interior. The place was a perfect spot to relax after coming back from Medina busy streets. The staff was super helpful and reachable whenever we had an issue! Beautiful garden and terrace/rooftop. We had an issue with a room, and we were given a refund for one night! Super professional policy and would definitely stay again next time.

È la seconda volta che siamo ospiti di questo Riad. Ci siamo trovati sempre bene. Questa volta siamo capitati durante il Ramadan e, come immaginavamo, il servizio è stato più assente e lento, ma comprendiamo.

A differenza della prima volta, non siamo rimasti molto soddisfatti della colazione, visti i costi non bassi della struttura. Forse è la stanchezza fatta dal Ramadan ma il cibo era meno curato sia nelle quantità che nella realizzazione. Peccato perché gli avremmo dato un 10 come voto totale. Sempre ottima struttura, ma questa è un dettaglio che abbiamo notato.

The property was breathtaking! The common area atrium was gorgeous, full of orange trees and palms, and bird song. The bedroom was magical, the bed was comfortable and dreamy. The rooftop space was a fantastic addition!

Struttura abbandonata, con aree comuni completamente sporche!

Le riad est idéalement situé au cœur de la médina, à proximité immédiate des principaux sites à visiter et des lieux de sortie. Véritable havre de paix, il offre un charmant écrin de verdure avec son bassin propice à la détente. Son rooftop, très bien aménagé, est également parfait pour se relaxer et profiter pleinement des beaux jours.

La chambre que nous avions présentait toutefois quelques points négatifs. L’absence de VMC dans la salle de bain entraîne une odeur d’humidité constante, ainsi que des remontées d’odeurs provenant des canalisations. La propreté de la salle de bain est également à revoir : présence de moisissures sur les parois de la douche et quelques poils/cheveux. Le matelas, qui est très affaissé et forme une véritable cuvette. Il semble avoir fait son temps et n’est pas très propice à un bon repos. C’est dommage, car la chambre reste agréable avec son balcon et son côté cocooning. Avec quelques améliorations sur ces points, l’expérience pourrait être vraiment très satisfaisante.

What a fabulous place! A little oasis of tranquility right in the heart of the vibrant and chaotic medina. Perfectly located for seeing all this enchanting city has to offer. The courtyard was so peaceful - only the sound of the birds interrupt the silence. The staff at the riad could not have done more for us, they were so friendly, helpful and accommodating. They went above and beyond our expectations, collecting our lost wallet from the airport and going to the pharmacy for us when my husband felt unwell. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this wonderful place.

The plumbing was a little smelly, but I suspect this is a general problem in the medina due to old services. It certainly wasn't a cleanliness issue, as the riad was spotlessly clean.

The staff at Riad Kitula were all amazing - so kind and helpful and available 24 hours a day. The location is great - the front door is on a small alley, but we never felt unsafe. It’s very close to everything in the medina. Thank you especially to Ayub for all his help and welcome!

The hospitality was first rate, Sala went out of his way to make sure we had the best experience.

We arrived at night, could not get our phone e-sims to work, caught a cab to the medina but had some difficulty finding the Riad, as we couldnt phone ahead for guidance..luckily we found some super friendly locals who guided us to the door.

Very beautiful riad. The location is very convenient and the service is excellent. We had a welcome drink(a mint tea and a coffee). Staff are always available whenever you need help. We informed them that we had an early schedule and would be leaving at 7 a.m., and they kindly prepared a takeaway breakfast for us, including fruit, yogurt, and bread.
