是一家很温馨的家庭旅馆，就是自己家的几个房间，身处其中，感觉很放松，而且值得一提的是，我认为老板的炒饭与炒面都很好吃，比康提与科伦坡很多大餐厅的都好吃，性价比直接拉满，老板也很热心。位置也很不错，如果你不去爬狮子岩，而是想去对面的那个 pidurangala rock ，那么位置非常非常近，我是走路过去的

唯一的缺点可能是房间没有空调，并且我们的房间厕所刚搞完装修，有一点味道，但总体来说还是很不错的

The location was very good walking distance to pidurangala rock but the owner was very nice. He was the one who give me a ride to pidurangala rock with his motor for free when I informed him O planned to hike for sunrise view and he provide a good breakfast for me too as a muslim. Really recommend staying here if you want to climb and see the sigiriya rock fortress.

Unterkunft optimal gelegen um den Pidurangala Rock hoch zu wandern. Wir wurden morgens von dem Gastgeber zum Start gefahren. Sehr nette zuvorkommende Gastgeber und traditionelles Frühstück im Preis inbegriffen. Top Preis-Leistung!

Le lieu est super mais empêche la marche en pleine zone avec éléphant.

Perfecto para ir a Pidurangala a ver el amanecer, está situado muy cerca. Llegamos algo tarde y cenamos allí, el mejor Kottu que hemos comido en Sri Lanka. La habitación estaba bien y tenía todo lo necesario. Al día siguiente, el huesped super atento, se ofreció a llevarnos a conocer la zona en bici, en un paseo muy bonito y hasta pudimos ver algunos animales. Muy buena opción en esta zona.

La ubicación era ideal, el sitio muy bonito y el anfitrión ayudando en todo. Super recomendable.

La chambre était spacieuse et très confortable avec une ventilateur qui était silencieux. Bonne salle de bain également. Nous avons très bien été accueillis par la famille. Lakmal est présent pour répondre à nos questions et nous donner de bons conseils. Il nous a même proposé de nous déposer en Tuktuk au rocher pour le lever du soleil, ce qui était très appréciable.

Les extras proposés étaient un peu chers.

The Best location to stay.

I was taken care of really well at Elephant Trio! My host took me to Pidurindala Rock at 5 am on his bike because of the danger of encountering wild elephants. I had a nice Sri Lankan breakfast. And, to help me get to the bus to Trincomaleee, my host drove me to Baharana (for a reasonable fee). A charming house very close to Pidurangala, nice host family, quiet and peaceful. Much recommended!

Tot nu toe de fijnste accommodatie in Sri Lanka!! We hebben eerst de Pudurangala Rock beklommen om de zonsondergang te zien en mooi zicht te hebben op de Lion Rock. Bij terugkomst stond heerlijk eten klaar. En de nacht was voortreffelijk, ramen open, tralies tegen apen, klamboe tegen muggen en dan genieten van de dierengeluiden en wind. En de ochtend weer een lekker ontbijt, erg aardig gezin waar we verbleven!

Absolutely lovely place! Room was nice and clean, host is very hospitable and helpful and the food is AMAZING. I hope we will have oportunity to be here again!

Frühstück und Abendessen sehr lecker, Unterkunft ist schön und die Lage ist toll. Direkt am Reißfeld und in der Nähe vom Pidurangala Rock.

Der Gastgeber wurde mit der Zeit merkwürdig, hat mir privat komische Sachen geschrieben und ich fühlte mich als alleinreisende Frau nicht mehr sicher. Dringend und unbedingt als Alleinreisende aufpassen!

Ne vous privez pas de manger le soir chez eux. C'est délicieux ! L'emplacement est idéal pour monter au rocher de Pirudangala, meilleur point vu de Sigiriya. Les chambres sont propres et équipées avec les nécessaire.

La struttura purtroppo non é moderna, il bagno della camera completamente pieno di ruggine ovunque, doccia, lavandino, porta sapone, tutto pieno di ruggine. Inoltre il ventilatore (anch’esso con la ruggine) funzionava solo a velocità 2/3. La porta rimane socchiusa quindi entrano davvero molti insetti e il bagno nonostante abbia delle pseudo zanzariere é pieno di insetti che entrato non essendoci una finestra da poter chiudere. La colazione che ci hanno servito un giorno buona. la cosa peggiore di tutte al di là di questo é stata la posizione, nella foresta (non arrivano quasi nemmeno i tuktuk), lontana a piedi dal centro e da qualsiasi tipo di cosa.

Так же хозяин будет вам навязывать свои услуги такси со завышенным ценам. 2) недавно на этой улице дикие слоны убили туриста из Венгрии. 3) УЖАСНЫЕ завтраки !!! Я объездил 15 разных гостевых домов - это самый ужасный завтрак , его по-просту нет. 4) хозяин будет всегда с недовольным лицом если вы не купите его экскурсии или услуги его такси.

This homestay was very nice. I had the feeling like I am in jungle. The house was near the Piturangala rock. There was a lot of beautifull birds and very cute, sweet dogs and it was peacfull, without tourist. We had a terace with view over the fields. The owner was helpfull, he helped us with planning, with the transfer and he was our private guide. He had good prices. His wife also showed my wife how to wear sari. They made a good breakfast, every day they served something different. It was always traditional. We also had dinner there and it was the best food we had in Sri lanka. The owner was amazing cooker. I fully reccomend this homestay.

The owner was not very active on whatssapp, it was hard to connect with him in the begining. But when we arrived to the homestay, there was no problem with comunnication. The bathroom was sometimes a little bit smelly, but it was in good condition and it worked.

Amazing location close to Pidurangula rock and Lion's rock. The food at the property was by far the best I had on my trip! The owner Lakmal and his wife are the warmest people around. Lakmal took me round on the tuktuk at 5am to watch the sunrise at pidurangula rock.

We appreciated Lakhmal's facility hospitality. His wife and Lakhmal cook very god and are willing to prepare for you traditional breakfast, also dinner you will realy enjoy. Apartment is lopatek in the corner of the village in the touch with jungle, so you will have animals close to you, easy to watch them.

Vše bylo čisté, moc hezký dům. Přestože bylo přes den 38 stupňů, tak v noci bylo příjemně, AC nebyla vůbec potřeba. Kolem chodí pávy, lítají papoušci. Jídlo nám chutnalo. Doporučuji

Je potřeba počítat s tím, že po setmění se nemá chodit ven, protože v okolí se mohou pohybovat sloni.

My stay here was absolutely amazing! I was cared for so lovingly when I arrived a little sick, and soon I was ready to join the most stunning safari tour, organized and accompanied by the owner. He recommended watching the sunrise at Pidurangala Rock, told me the perfect time to start, and even took me to the entrance himself early in the morning. If you’re looking for a quiet and peaceful stay, with wildlife right outside your window and just a few steps away from all the wonderful activities Sigiriya has to offer, I can highly recommend this place!

The location is perfect, just a short distance from the entrance to Pidurangala, making it an ideal base for an early sunrise hike. The highlight was the amazing terrace, from which we could watch plenty of wildlife right in front of us. The owner was extremely helpful – he drove us to the entrance for sunrise, arranged a memorable night jungle trek where we spotted a slow loris, and was always ready to take us anywhere or bring anything we needed.

Оставались на две ночи с завтраками и ужинами. Расположение позволяет дойти пешком до подъёма на Пидерангала и быстро на авто до Сигирии. Принимающая семья была очень приветливой, готовили шикарные ужины и завтраки. Нам также подсказали, как оптимизировать наше путешествие. Предлагали местное сафари, но мы не воспользовались. Была парковка, но не было кондиционера, только вентилятор, но для данного периода в этой местности это было преемлемо.

Отсутствие кондиционера может быть существенным в другую погоду.

Very kind host, drove us to Pidurangula at 5 am and the dinner was very, very good! Great location. There are busses going to Dambulla at 9:30 and 10:30 am at the big road next to the hotel.

Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt hier. Meine Schwester und ich waren nur eine Nacht da, aber die Gastgeber waren super freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir wurden sogar für einen sehr guten Preis mit dem TukTuk nach Dambulla gebracht und wieder abgeholt. Und auch am nächsten Tag bis zur Bushaltestelle (ca. 30 Minuten), um den Bus nach Trincomalee zu erreichen. Das Frühstück war außergewöhnlich, aber super lecker. Zudem wurden wir um 5 Uhr morgens kostenlos von der Unterkunft bis zum Pidurangala Rock von den Gastgebern gebracht (nur 5 Minuten mit dem TukTuk). Die Lage ist perfekt für eine Wanderung zum Pidurangala Rock, aber auch die Fahrt ins Zentrum von Sigiriya ist nicht weit. Wir können es nur weiterempfehlen, Preis-Leistung ist top ☺️

The house is in a beautiful location and very close to the access to the Two Rocks. The breakfast is the most delicious and unique I've had in all my days in Sri Lanka.

The night of my stay, the owner did me the favor of picking me up in town to take me to the house, a five-minute ride. When I was paying my bill, I asked if I could also be charged for that trip, but he said he wouldn't, that he didn't want to charge me, that it wasn't a big deal. When I checked the amounts, the figure wasn't correct; he was charging me more money than I should have (and it wasn't a currency conversion error). When I asked for a correction, he got so upset that he actually tried to charge me for the motorcycle ride, and he did so by an excessive amount, so I ended up paying more than the original bill indicated. This was his way of "punishing" me and caused a very awkward moment. This detail marred my stay at the house.

Breakfast was not the best we've had in sri lanka The room and ceiling was really dirty... It's kind of the environment with insects and bugs but i think it was because the door did not close all the way. That's not a nice feeling to sleep with an open door in a place with wild elephants, monkeys, snakes, frogs,.... The friendly and helpful family made me give this place a lot more than i'd give in the first place. Sorry but would not stay here again. No hot water, only one half usable outlet (you'll have to put the table under it so it would work). The price is yet very fair though. Expect some mold, fungus and bugs.

Great place, such a nice view, and close to Pidurangala Rock.

Stayed for 3 nights. Beautiful and big rooms, with a big balcony, overlooking rice fields, where you. A spot wildlife. Surrounded by nature and locals. Really tranquil. Amazing breakfast! The host was friendly and helpful. Not far from every major attraction.

We could walk to Pudurangala Rock in 12-15 minutes. The owner was kind enough to pick us up at night after our hike.

The location didn't have much choice in restaurants so we had dinner there. The breakfast was delicious, but the dinner and beer we felt were expensive for what we got.

The owner was so friendly and accommodating, he even managed to make space for an extra bed when we had an additional friend stay. The room was really spacious and clean, the bathroom was lovely, spacious and clean. The location was great as it was close to Pidurangula rock (you can walk there in 10-15 mins) and not too far from the main town. The breakfast was included and the owner arranged a private car for us for the next day. Highly recommend staying here.

Lovely family stay in the jungle just outside of town walkable to pidurangala and short tuk tuk to lions rock. Owners will help with any activities and advice on what to do a lovely stay and will be looked after.

If I could give a 15/10, I would! Lakmal and his family are so kind and welcoming. They helped us with all our questions and recommended us a lot of things to do. And the food is so so soooo good! Lovely home stay with delicious food

The view from balcony was so beautiful with real rice field scenery from family. I woke up with the sound of birds and peacocks….. this was one of the most peaceful stays in Sri Lanka. Lakmal, the owner of the house was so supportive and kind, he had been a professional in hospitality and culinary journey, so his Rice & Curry was super tasty. Also what made rice & curry special was the rice was organically grown by their family. The location was perfect if you love quiet nature jungle surrounding and Pidurangala Rock climb is on your list. Lakmal, the owner, kindly arranged pick up and drop to the entrance of hiking rock for sunrise/ sunset timing to make sure guests’ safeties. Renting bicycles is available and I had a cool cycling around few beautiful lakes. Lakmal and his wife were so lovely, that they gave me a local experience as much as possible. I cannot wait to come back here, to Elephant Trio Homestay!

Wifi was unstable but it is all the same more or less around the area, as some power cut happens due to the weather or government system.

Location is good. Host is very responsive, he cooked very delicious for us. He recommended for us a village tour that was really good. He took us at his tuk tuk to Sigirya at 5 am!

Apartments don’t have air conditioners (only fans). Beds are not very comfortable. But all in all it is a very good price/service ratio!

Nice place at a very affordable price. The food was great, and it is really cool that you can just walk to the Pidurangala rock, so I did both - for sunset and sunrise :)

Room over looked the fields out the back of the property and was private. Only a 13 minute walk to the gates of Pidurangala Rock and they were very accommodating of my food allergies for breakfast!

As there is no PickMe, it’s hard to get into town and it’s about a 40 minute walk, but aren’t safe at night due to the elephants crossing and no lights with narrow roads.

We had the most amazing stay at Elephant Trio! Lakmal and his family made us feel extremely welcome from the second we arrived. He provided us with lots of recommendations on activities to do during our stay which really helped us see the best of Sigiriya. The location of the home stay is perfect: surrounded my beautiful nature and a short walk to Pidurangala rock. Lakmal’s food is by far the best food we have eaten on our travels around Sri Lanka. He even let us help cook dinner one evening as we loved the food so much! We can’t fault our time here; the hospitality we experienced was 10/10!

The accommondation was in really calm place, with beautiful nature and singing birds around. The view was amazing! Food was really something wow. So delicious! And big portions. Host family were really nice and helpful. They even took us with tuktuk for sunrise to Pidurangala for free. 100% reccomended

I highly recommend staying at Elephant Trio Sigiriya during your trip to Sri Lanka. The family is lovely, the only ones who didn't screw us for bad tours and bad money. They are really kind and helpful. They show you around for free and cook delicious food and also teach you how to cook it upon your request. Definitely the best stay in Sri Lanka since the beginning of our trip, it would definitely be nice to go back!

Elephant Trio was just perfect; a little paradise in Sigiriya. The family was amazingly kind, loving and welcoming, and even offered to bring me to many different places and the bus station early in the morning. The breakfast and dinner is amazing, one of the best curries I've had in Sri Lanka so far! The terrace is surrounded by trees and nature, and I've spent so much time reading or watching the animals (many birds, monkeys, peacocks, squirrels etc), it was so relaxing. The room was spacious and clean! The location is close to Pidurangula Rock, but beware you can't walk when it's dark because of wild elephants, but the host will gladly bring you to or pick you up from the rock. I would 100% recommend Elephant Trio to make your stay in Sigiriya unforgetable!! Thank you again Lakmal and your beautiful family

I had the pleasure of staying at this charming place, and it was one of the best experiences I've had. The hosts are incredibly kind and made us feel right at home. Their hospitality was exceptional and added a special touch to our stay. The food was also fantastic—fresh, local ingredients prepared with care, and every meal was a delight. The welcoming atmosphere and attentive hosts make this a place I would definitely return to. If you're looking for relaxation, great food, and genuine hospitality, this is the perfect choice! Beautiful terrace, possibility to watch birds and other animals, sometimes even elephants come here, we just heard them. The owner cooks delicious dinners

It was our best decision. The owner is very attentive, he welcomed us very well, with two coconuts. Then he offered to join us to get to know the area and took us to pidurangala rock at 5 am to ensure a good sunrise (all for free!!!) The breakfast was also exceptional, I wouldn’t hesitate to come back. The room was clean and was well located

Wi-fi worked poorly on n room

Recommended for bird lovers. From the balcony, you can observe various birds that visit the trees in the garden. Also, the master's brother is a great bird watching guide. They showed us a variety of birds including kingfishers. The curry made by the master is very delicious. I was taught how to make it in the kitchen. He also took me to buy fish and vegetables, which was a wonderful experience.

Quiet place near to pidurangala rock

The place backs onto rice fields and is very beautiful, quiet and peaceful. The room was big as was the bathroom, and they brought me tea at 6am which I asked for and they accommodated.

The sink was not very clean although everything else was. And the food they served me was basic and expensive for what it was. Better to eat out.

Awesome homestay in the woods. Pidurangala and Sigiriya rocks are within walking distance, the owners are really nice and try to meet the needs of every guest (i.e. They found a bike for me), the food is amazing and totally homemade (i’m vegetarian and they also provide me with soya meat for extra protein). The room and the bathroom are big, and there is a semi-private terrace overlooking a well-kept garden and rice fields, Where i spent my time chilling and watching the birds.

I loved everything. I only make a suggestion: it would be great to have an hammock on the terrace.

Warm welcome by family. They were too good. Especially the food was too good. They were well behaved. I will recommend for others too.

The view from one of the rooms is quite nice. After the host fixed the wifi it was working well. The area is quiet and the owner has a tuktuk and can bring you to town (paid). We got a free cup of tea when we arrived.

The beds didn’t look very clean (hairs) but the host offered to change the sheets. There was no water when we woke up. The place is outdated and too expensive for what you get. My friends booking got canceled. We think that’s because she told/showed she was not that happy and to avoid she would leave a bad review.

Spacious room with own bathroom and hot shower. Walking distance from Pidurangala rock. Quiet place, I loved reading on the top deck overlooking to rice paddies.

You have to take tuktuk to get to town but I didn’t mind.

We had an amazing time. The hosts were really friendly and helpful. We had a delicious dinner. The room and the bathroom were very clean. From the terrace you can see the Pidurangala rock which is only a few minutes away by walk.

This place is simply amazing ! It’s right beside Pidurangala rock, perfect for seeing both sunrise and sunset. We’ve been in Sigiriya 3 days and this is the best food (breakfast & dinner) we’ve had so far, and so much cheaper than town prices. The portions are absolutely huge. Room was very nice, very comfy bed, hot shower, everything clean. The best part was the hosts. They are the nicest family, really go out of there way to help you enjoy your stay. A true homestay experience. We also seen and heard elephants from the property at night. Highly recommend! Thank you !

Excellent place to see Sigiriya especially if you want to climb Pidurangala in the early morning. The people running this place are extremely friendly and helpful. Food is absolutely amazing 😍

The breakfast was great. Everyone was super friendly and accomodating. The room was also very clean.
