Das das Badhäuschen doch „so weit“ (50m) von der eigentlichen Hütte entfernt war. Im Dunkeln und alleine war das nicht schön.

Reviewed Jul 22, 2026Suomalaiset tykkää saunoa ja uida, tässä paikassa se onnistui hyvin. Hyvät ja napakat pedit nukkua. Olimme kaksi yötä ja meille nämä oli riittävät puitteet. Ystävällinen henkilökunta kävi kysymässä tarvitsemmeko jotain ja kertoi kiirunan kohteista missä kannattaisi käydä/tutustua.

Reviewed Jul 15, 2026Vietimme perheemme kanssa kaksi yötä Lakeside Aurora Cabinsissa ja viihdyimme todella hyvin. Paikka oli juuri sopivan rauhallinen ja järvenrantamaisemat tekivät tunnelmasta erityisen viihtyisän. Mökki oli siisti, toimiva ja sieltä löytyi kaikki, mitä parin päivän majoittumiseen tarvitsimme. Tänne voisi hyvin tulla uudestaankin – lämmin suositus kaikille, jotka etsivät rentouttavaa majoitusta luonnon rauhassa lähellä Kiirunaa.

Jeg ville gerne have vidst at der ikke var vand i hytten og at toilet og badeværelse lå i en hytte for sig Det var ikke super let at finde frem til stedet, hytten eller toilettet, men det gik jo. Der var vejstøj fra E10, som ikke var ret langt væk

Reviewed Mar 28, 2026L'emplacement est juste parfait. En quelques pas on peut déjà être en train de marcher sur le lac glacé. On a eu la chance de voir des aurores boréales le dernier jour. Encore une fois l'emplacement du logement est parfaitement propice à une bonne observation du phénomène. On n'a pas eu froid du tout. Le personnel est très réactif et agréable. Très bon rapport qualité prix pour la région.
L'emplacement étant isolé (ce qui reste un énorme point fort), il est difficile de s'organiser pour des activités alentour. Je recommande fortement de louer une voiture pour plus de liberté.

Reviewed Mar 22, 2026Unser Aufenthalt im März in der Cabin 6D war einfach fantastisch! Wer echte nordschwedische Gemütlichkeit sucht, ist hier genau richtig. Die Lage direkt am See ist magisch – wir konnten an zwei Abenden die Polarlichter direkt von der Hütte aus bewundern. Die Hütte selbst ist geräumig, sehr gemütlich und verfügt über eine gut ausgestattete Küche sowie eine eigene Dusche und sogar eine private Sauna. Ein absolutes Highlight war jedoch der außergewöhnliche Service. Unsere Fahrerin Anita verdient allein schon 5 Sterne! Ihre herzliche Art gab uns sofort das Gefühl, willkommen zu sein. Sie hat uns so viel Wissenswertes über die Geschichte und die Zukunft von Kiruna erzählt, dass jede Fahrt ein echtes Erlebnis war. Ein großartiges Camp mit einem unvergesslichen Service dank Menschen wie Anita!
Es gab eigentlich nichts zu bemängeln. Man sollte lediglich wissen, dass die private Toilette direkt draußen neben der Hütte liegt (was aber kein Problem war, da sie sehr nah und schnell erreichbar ist) und die Küche keinen Backofen hat. Für das Kochen im Urlaub ist sie aber ansonsten bestens ausgestattet.

Reviewed Mar 21, 2026The location of the cabins is great to catch the northern lights: quiet, with little artificial light and easy to get to by car. Alexandre, the cabin manager, passed by on our first night to check if everything was alright and kindly let us know the northern lights were visible, so we ran outside to enjoy the view. The lake right outside the cabins offers spectacular views in the morning. The cabin has everything you need to feel at home and enjoy a few days of peace and comfort. Temperature was -35 celsius when we stayed and the heating worked well. All beds are individual bunk beds, but surprisingly comfy.
The number of our cabin (8B) was not indicated on the cabin's door, so we spent some time trying to understand which was our cabin. We figured it out by trying out the lockbox with the code provided. Other guests staying at different cabins knocked on our door upon arrival, unsure as well as to which cabin it was. Signalling could be improved.

Très arrangeant également : le logement était prêt avant 15h00 et nous avons été autorisés à arriver en début d'après-midi ! La cabane est très bien chauffée avec une vue exceptionnelle sur le lac. La salle d'eau est propre, fonctionnelle, et l'eau chauffe avec un très bon débit (nous avions une cabane avec une salle d'eau à l'extérieur, dans une petite cabane privative à une dizaine de mètres de la cabane. Super expérience traditionnelle !!). Alexandre est la personne qui s'occupe de gérer le camping. Il est agréable, souriant, et saura vous rendre service. Il vous donnera pleins de bons conseils (c'est un Français. Il parle également anglais et allemand). Les cabanes sont situées au bord d'un lac. Il y a uniquement 4 ou 5 cabanes, c'est le calme absolu face au lac enneigé. Le monde s'arrête : la féérie commence ! Vous pouvez marcher sur le lac ou partir en randonnée. Les raquettes ne sont pas nécessaires, mais vous pouvez en louer au Camping Camp Alta situé à 1 km à pied (allez y en marchant sur le lac, c'est plus rapide que de marcher le long de la route... et plus joli !!). Au milieu des cabanes se trouve un sauna à faire fonctionner en autonomie. Vous préparez votre feu vous-même pour mettre le sauna à température, et c'est parti !! Expérience authentique. L'accès est gratuit (il faut simplement remplir un agenda disponible dans le sauna pour réserver son créneau si on veut être seuls). Le camping est à 5 minutes environ de l'ice Hôtel et du musée Sami, et 10 minutes du centre de Kiruna.
La vaisselle, notamment les casseroles, est un peu juste.

Les toilettes en dehors du chalet mais ce n’est qu’un detail.

The bathroom and kitchen sink being outside the cabin is a bit cumbersome at times specially if you need to use them in the middle of the night. But nothing too serious.

Reviewed Jan 19, 2026Helposti sai avaimet mökkiin avainsäiliöstä. Mökki oli siisti ja siellä oli kaikki tarvittava. Hyvin sai nukuttua, vaikkakin autotie meni ihan vierestä ja liikenteen äänet kuuluivat selvästi sisälle. Kaunis järvimaisema.
Ovet vessaan ja makuutilaan oli melko raskaat eikä pysyneet auki ilman stopparia.

The cabin was warm, external toilet/shower block was a short walk and warm inside too. There is a shared hut with fire pit and sauna in that was free to use. Kitchen area had basics needed to make dinners. Stunning location on the lake, 10 minutes drive to Kiruna

Since we used the kitchen, I have to note that the oven and 2 hot plates were not working. We managed to use the 2 hot plates that were operational and the BBQ outside which was amazing .

Reviewed Jan 5, 2026Mēs lieliski pavadījām laiku šeit. Izbaudījām mazo saunu pie ezera un redzējām ziemeļblāzmas. Iesaku visiem šeit doties ziemas sezonā, jo ir ļoti skaisti. Naktsmītne (4E) ir ļoti kompakta, bet četri cilvēki var šeit justies ērti. Mājiņā arī bija silts. Grīdas gan nav pārāk siltas ziemā, bet var paņemt čības, tās tāpat noder ejot uz saunu. Un protams īpašnieki ir fantastiski!
Virtuves telpa ir apvienota ar koridoru un tajā ir ļoti maz vietas gatavošanai, bet tā nav pārāk liela problēma. Mājiņa vienkārši ir maza. Bet kopumā viss bija labi

Reviewed Dec 24, 2025The cabin is only 10-15 minutes drive from Kiruna Airport and Town. The Ice Hotel in Jukkasjärvi is also only about 10 minutes drive from the cabin. The cabin is beautifully situated by a lake (Alttajärvi) which during our visit was frozen and we could walk safely out onto the lake. This gave us an advantageous view of the Northern Lights. Truly fantastic! Out host was also very helpful and friendly.
Not much to dislike with the cabin or where it is situated. It was though very cold when we arrived. Around minus 20 Celsius. Inside the cabin the electric heaters were on but not full heat. That meant that the cabin had an average temperature of only about 8-11 degrees Celsius when we arrived. It took a very long time to get a more comfortable temperature. There is a log burner and logs to burn. It would have helped if the host could have raised the heating thermostats on the electrical heaters before our arrival. Of course what is a comfortable temperature is different from individual to individual.
