Drumie Homestay - 50m to Hoan Kiem lake

The second time I chose to stay here for its perfect location near the cathedral. The rooms are impeccable and the staff is both resourceful as supportive. This venue comes highly recommended.

Vị trí đắc địa, chỉ cách Hồ Hoàn Kiếm vài bước chân nên rất tiện đi lại, ăn uống và dạo phố cổ. Phòng nghỉ sạch sẽ, trang trí xinh xắn, đầy đủ tiện nghi cơ bản và không gian yên tĩnh, thoải mái. Anh nhân viên hỗ trợ rất nhiệt tình và thân thiện.

Good room, great location in central area, easy access to attractions and markets, facilities as expected and a nice small balcony to enjoy the lively outside scene, a lift for managing luggage to higher floor, the entry is through a small but popular banh-mi shop. Host was friendly, overall really nice stay.

I had a great stay here and would definitely recommend it. First of all, the staff were incredibly attentive and friendly. Every morning and afternoon, they would ask if I needed any help or if there was anything they could do for me. They were always happy to answer any questions and made me feel very welcome throughout my stay. The location is also excellent, right in the centre of Hanoi. It’s very close to the Old Quarter, Beer Street, and lots of restaurants and other places to explore. The accommodation was very clean, tidy, and well maintained. Overall, I had a really good experience and would happily stay here again!

Poor lighting

The staff was fantastic and so accommodating. Long and Tien Anh went above and beyond for me and was definitely one of the most helpful and accommodating staff and Homestay I’ve ever experienced. Was truly exceptional, I also had a scare in the morning and the staff was so helpful and offered me any help and assistance. Along with that they offered me a transfer for a hotel through a company they were a partner with or worked with and it was a great price and amazing communication. The driver was on time and the staff provided me with all of the drivers information and plate number so I felt secure. Check out was very simple and the room was perfect. Hot water, TV, Super comfortable bed and a duvet which was rare in Vietnam as most hotels just give a light sheet. The AC was soo amazing. I recommend this so much and will be returning if I’m ever back in Vietnam. The homestay was also 24/7 reception and amazing on responding. They also were so kind and message me a safe flight home!

An Absolute Gem in the Heart of Hanoi! 10/10 I cannot recommend Drumie Homestay enough! The location is unbeatable—nestled right in the middle of the city and an easy 100-meter stroll from St. Joseph’s Cathedral. One of my favorite features was the beautiful balcony; even though it faces the vibrant street, the room is completely soundproofed, allowing for a perfectly peaceful night's rest. The interior is wonderfully well-maintained, and the bed was exceptionally comfortable and spotlessly clean. What truly sets this place apart, though, is the staff—they are incredible, always available for a friendly chat, and incredibly helpful and resourceful with local tips. I will definitely rent this hidden gem again the next time I am in Hanoi!

Die Wohnung war dreckig, die Gardinenstange war teils kaputt, die Wände dreckig und die Klimaanlage wieß innen Schimmel auf. Ebenso sah es aus als sein im Bad auch lange nicht gründlich geputzt worden.

Emplacement très central, proche du lac et de la vieille ville. Lit double et salle de bain attenante. Climatisation et ventilation. Prix raisonnable.

Pas de fenêtre (cela était précisé dans l’annonce). Le ménage pourrait être mieux fait (poussière dans la chambre, beaucoup de calcaire dans la salle de bain, un peu de moisissure) mais dans l’ensemble acceptable pour quelques nuits en ville.

I stayed in a room on the top floor. the room was clean and had nice bed linens. Staff were very helpful.

There was always something making a noise right outside the room and also at night karaoke singing was so loud. it was hard to sleep. It’d be better to have more kitchen utensils at the shared kitchen.

Además, las habitaciones carecen de ventilación natural. Aunque disponían de aire acondicionado, las paredes acumulaban y desprendían bastante calor, por lo que era necesario mantenerlo encendido durante largos períodos para conseguir una temperatura confortable.

This place is a gem! Compared to the prices of everywhere else in Hanoi this summer, I could not have been happier with Drumie :) The hosts are so sound and the place is surprisingly top notch for its cost. In this location for this kind of room, everything else is over double the price. Thank you again to the Drumie team!

Usually I prefer accommodation to be on the bottom floor also but it's not a big prob as it is easy to access anyway

The staff were absolutely amazing . Super tentative to what I needed , they were always 5 min call away from helping me and even to the extent of carrying my luggage up and down the building. The stay itself was beautiful, spacious rooms and most importantly clean. I would definitely choose to stay here the next time I visit HaNoi again. Genuinely excellent service and stay.

The room has no window. The room is shabby. I cut my foot on a broken tile in the bathroom doorway.

Very basic. We were not given the room that was advertised - Drumie house, instead we were given Legume house which was very different from the pics. There was a tiny internal window. We did not stay in Drumie house which is what we booked so can only review 'legume' house. Rather bleak, down the end of a narrow alleyway. Stairs are steep if you have problems with stairs.

There was actually a problem with my room and they are working on fixing it when I arrived. The host went an extra mile and actually gave me an upgrade room at a different home stay because of the originally room problem. He drove me there and apologized profusely but like i told him if you do it right then I have no problem with it. So the other home stay is called Bridgo Homestay. It wasn't too far from this location. They own both established. It have all the things for me need. The location is great and only a block a away, there's a lake that I like sitting down and people watch through the busyness of the Vietnamese people. Good location with everything you need around you. My room was in the 4th floor so I barely hear anything going on outside.

Not a problem with me but might be some for others. There are no elevator. Climbing to the 4th floor was nothing for me until you walked all day and then only to just go straight for your room relaxing in the nice ac and fan provided. I couldn't figure out to use the shower head. The location can be tricky. If you have big luggage, it might trouble some. Wasn't for since I carried back pack. The alley is small and you go through restaurant.

De locatie was goed. Je bevindt je in the old quarter en 1 min lopen van Hoan kiem lake. Bedden lagen ook prima.

De kamer zag er niet uit zoals op de plaatjes. Erg verouderd. Het was erg gehorig, waardoor je snachts slecht sliep. Je hoort veel getoeter. In de badkamer liep het water slecht weg waardoor je steeds natte voeten hebt.

The location and the room itself was okay

There is no reception so if you need anything such as pillow, towel, toilet paper you will have to wait several hours or even days. And the only time they are available to help with anything is after 10pm. Also we didn’t have water one of the days so no shower, sink or toilet at the hotel. But when I asked for a discount the guy said he could give me a $2 discount as long as I write him a 10 star review. Then he attempted to take my phone and write himself a review all while I was brushing my teeth and trying to catch a flight. If it wasn’t for that interaction I probably wouldn’t be writing this but it makes me think all of the reviews on here might be fake/staged.

Lovely place in a good location. The staff (long) was very helpful and polite. I would highly recommend.

The manager went above and beyond to help us once our booking through booking.com conflicted with another which meant we didn’t stay in the original listed accommodation - he was very attentive to try and ensure we were comfortable - feel he needs greater support from the owners

Requires upgrading as didn’t have a TV broken by previous guest until we asked the manager if we could use one from another room - which we were able to stand on a table bathroom needs a good clean or refurbishment - we had the manager remove a huge cockroach from the room - who was very obliging when more of a cleaning issue

Da vi ankom var der en gammel halvfuld pizzabakke inde på vores værelse som personalet sagde var rengøringsdamens frokost. (Helt klart ukorrekt) Lugten fra badeværelset var så stærk at man skulle tro hele bygningens afføring lige skulle ind at vende hos os🤢. Lidt grænseoverskridende adfærd fra personalet som kom op til vores værelse med insisterende banken for at modtage betaling, og derudover sendte endeløse beskeder med upassende kærligt indhold.

הגישה בתוך סמטה, הבניין ישן, הצק אין היה בשעה וחצי(לאחר שהגעתי ) עיכוב, עובד במקלחת, שלט מזגן שלא עבד (סודר רק בפעם השנייה כמו שצאיךך) , יתושים בחדר דלת של החדר שלא סגורה עד הסוף

I stayed here for two nights, just enough time to see a few Hanoi attractions and pick up a souvenir. It's a nice property, has a great location, and the staff is exceptional, available practically 24/7 via WhatsApp. Highly recommended! ☺️

חזרתי לפה בפעם השניה אני מקבלת חוויה מאוד ביתית מהמקום. המצעים מאוד נקיים ומרגיש פה כמו בית. הצוות חמוד וזמין בכל שעה והמחיר שווה את התמורה.
