A decent hotel for the price. Don’t expect top-level service — everything is quite simple. If you only need a place to sleep and plan to spend your days exploring, it’s a very good option. The location is convenient: close to the ferries, the seafront, and plenty of cafés and bars. The staff are friendly. The hotel is on a quiet street, so there’s no noise from late-night parties outside.

The only drawback is the school opposite: from about 9 a.m. it gets rather noisy with children playing in the yard. If you like to sleep late, bear this in mind. The air conditioner is placed just above the head of the bed. We didn’t use it, but it dripped a little water — we put a glass under it and that solved the issue.

Am 1. Tag hatten wir teilweise keinen Strom auf unserem Zimmer, am 2. Tag war in der Früh ohne Information aufgrund von Bauarbeiten im Haus das Wasser abgestellt worden. Von der Rezeption kam auf die Info, wir könnten uns ja im darunterliegenden Café das Gesicht waschen. Nicht akzeptabel. In der 3. Nacht ist nachts von der Klimaanlage Wasser auf unser Gesicht getropft, sehr eklig. Bei unserer Abreise war zudem noch der Aufzug ausgefallen. Generell wurden die Renovierungsarbeiten sehr unprofessionell durchgeführt, das Treppenhaus ist nach wie vor eine einzige Baustelle. Wir können das Hotel auf keinen Fall weiterempfehlen.

Great location near everything, on a quiet street. Our second stay in this hotel. This time we took a king-suite with a sea view (room 601). Quite a small room, but a huge balcony, and the view was really great. Good choise in the summer, when you can enjoy your morning coffee in the balcony, or watch the sunset there in the evening. Comfy bed, good fridge, good shower. The staff was friendly.

This room had a carpeted floor, not ideal for allergic person. No cleaning during our stay.

The only thing that we liked was the location of the hotel. It was in a quiet part of Kadıköy.

The room was nothing like the one shown in the pictures I booked. Instead, we were given an extremely small room with a view of an emergency staircase and trees. The room was really dark. At night, we couldn’t open the window because it was full of butterflies and other bugs. On top of that, we woke up every morning with ants in the beds. The bathroom had no shelves or holders, so there was nowhere to put even a shampoo. The toilet seat wouldn’t stay up, which was extremely uncomfortable as it kept falling on you. When we showered, the water didn’t drain properly. In the entire room, there wasn’t a single mirror except for the one in the bathroom.

Location is good and the staff is nice.

The room has a broken window. It was on the ground floor, just 2 meters from the reception. It had access to the street, so all the noises, talks were heard. It was not possible to close the window, so it remained open at all times. At the same time, I could also hear everything that was happening at the reception and vice versa. The room was not cleaned, which was not a problem for me; however, someone was coming in and out without cleaning when I was not in the hotel.

The staff is amazing — they were very responsive to our needs. We arrived in the middle of the night, yet they were still awake and ready to help us. The self check-in is very convenient, and the location in Moda is perfect.

The value for money is not very good. For €50 per night in Istanbul, we expected a higher standard. The pictures are a bit misleading, as the room is presented as large, stylish, and with an outdoor area. We got room 101, and sadly it was a bit small, with some parts of the shower broken and the window damaged as well. However, the staff was so helpful that we still left happy and relaxed about our stay.

The room was small, but it had everything I needed. I also liked that the windows faced the courtyard, so it was pretty quiet at night. The hotel is in a nice, calm neighborhood — about a 20-minute walk from the seaside and roughly the same distance from Kadıköy metro station

The air conditioner was too loud, so it was impossible to sleep with it on at night. Its temperature and fan speed couldn’t be adjusted — or maybe I just couldn’t figure out how to do it

Удобное расположение, тихая улица. Рядом много разных заведений. Отель чистый, после ремонта, есть мелкие недочеты, но это не критично. Был сломан душ, но его сразу же починили. За эти деньги не приходится ожидать чего то большего

На фото выглядит лучше, чем в реальности. Не было возможности сделать апгрейд номера. Люкс оказался под крышей. Было очень душно и жарко. Кондиционер расположен прямо над кроватью, Из-за этого сильно дует ночью, пришлось спать с открытым окном. Когда подходишь к окну, упираешься головой в потолок, если вы ростом 175 то это очень некомфортно. В описании номера был вид на море, которого не оказалось, поскольку отель очень далеко от моря и всего 4 этажа. Из номера вид на соседние дома

Location was very good.

We had to sleep in two different rooms for the two nights we booked because of the problems with air conditioning. We got other room for the first night which had balcony and nice view but the air conditioning was directly over the bed so it was blowing on us as we were sleeping. In the second room which we booked for both nights it was better. Hotel needs a renovation, it has a great potential though. Person at the reception doesn’t look like he belongs there.

Bathroom elements were broken. Airco was not working. There was no any vault. Staff were arrogant and rude.

The hotel is very conveniently located near bustling streets of Kadikoy. The guy at the reception named Ismail was courteous and cooperative.

The reception is at 1st floor so there are plenty of stairs to climb. Would be a challenge in case you are carrying heavy luggage. Fairly good property in this price range. The only bad experience we had was that the air conditioning was not working in this heat of July. We checked air conditioners of 3 other rooms and all were same. The owner of the property doesn't seem interested to get them fixed or even about bad reviews of his property.

Die Lage war top. Nur empfehlenswert, Sabiha Gökçen ausgestiegen, Dann metro m4 Richtung Kadıköy, Endstation aussteigen und 15 min laufen.

Leider war der klodeckel kaputt, wir haben das Personal drauf angesprochen, aber die haben sich nicht gekümmert, deswegen 8/10

Big windows made the room feel fresh. The bed had crisp white sheets and was very relaxing. Everything looked polished and new. Staff gave solid restaurant tips.

First, this is not a hotel. (And prob violates a few fire codes) It's a bizarre set up for a place to stay. Definitely do not show up late at night. There was no staff on location. Hard to find the rooms. Curtains were sheer so in summer the light comes in super early. Generally the finishing was poor - toilet seats didn't stay up, chandelier was hanging, door frames and corridors were bizarre, ACs not all operating / didn't have a remote. Shower doors didn't completely close but water was ok.

The hotel was well located in a nice part of the city.

Staff were slow to reply to problems, taking a couple of days to sort out the AC that wasn't working. We were also moved to a smaller room due to this and not offered any refund or compensation.

Ottima stanza di hotel nel cuore di Kadiköy, il mio quartiere preferito di tutta Istanbul. A pochi minuti a piedi dal Bosforo e dalle vie più vivaci di Kadikoy. Consiglio vivamente la suite con il balcone per godere di una splendida vista sul Bosforo

The hotel is near Moda pier and there’s a supermarket near here and all the shops and bars are quite near. The room was really spacious and it is very comfortable. The WiFi is going great in all the structure .

The bathroom was a bit old and needs some repairs. It was difficult to manage the hot and cold water. The air conditioning wasn’t working properly. We have had complaints but they didn’t speak English and they didn’t understand us.

Была возможность раннего заселения, в целом все понравилось, ожидание и реальность совпали. Чисто, аккуратно, приятно находится в номере. Из окна выход на пожарную лестницу. Где-то вдалеке даже видно Босфор. Рекомендую.

Ремонт сделан, конечно, не очень аккуратно, но, кажется, в Турции везде так, особенно в углах недоделан ремонт, там где особо не видно. Можно было бы помыть вентиляцию, она серая была, но в целом никаких неприятных запахов нет. Можно повесить вешалку для полотенец для рук, одной вешалки совершенно не хватает.

We loved being able to walk to the ferry terminal so easily. The room was peaceful and cleaned thoroughly each day. Bed and pillows were very soft and supportive. Staff were always cheerful and attentive.

My stay at Vicolo Moda in Istanbul, unfortunately, fell far below expectations. While the location in central Kadıköy is convenient, the overall experience was quite poor due to several issues related to comfort, maintenance, and service. Upon arrival, I was given an extremely small room on the first floor with no view whatsoever. The air conditioning remote was missing, and when I asked for it, I was told I would have to wait for the manager to arrive. After about 30 minutes, I followed up at the reception desk, only to be told again to wait. Fifteen minutes later, I was informed that the air conditioning unit in the room wasn’t functioning at all. Eventually, I was offered a different room on the fourth floor. Unfortunately, this new room also lacked any proper view, only facing an emergency staircase and another building. The small fridge in the room was not plugged in and appeared to be out of service. I had to move it myself and connect the plug to a socket behind it. Once working, the fridge emitted a loud, constant noise from the compressor, making it difficult to relax. As for the air conditioning, the remote control was again not present in the room. I had to go back downstairs to reception to request one. When I finally turned the unit on, it functioned, but with excessive noise that made it nearly impossible to sleep comfortably. Due to the poor service, malfunctioning equipment, and general discomfort, I would not recommend staying at Vicolo Moda under any circumstances.

Sunlight filled the room in the morning and it was beautiful. The bed was soft with fresh-smelling sheets. We slept very well without any disturbances. Staff were quick to respond to requests.

Everything about the hotel felt organized and calm. The room was clean and bright with comfortable lighting. We slept so well on the soft bed. The team made our check-in easy and smooth. PS: Happy to be here, my wife wanted to add :)

The location made exploring Kadikoy and beyond incredibly easy. Room was small but very clean and well-organized. The bed gave us great sleep after long walks around the city. Staff helped us with transport options and directions.

Рады что выбрали этот отельчик. Чисто, аккуратно, все работает, на окнах антимоскитные сетки, smart TV, чай, кофе, холодильник, всегда были доступны упаковки с водой, её вообще ни разу за три дня нам не пришлось покупать - мелочь конечно, но все равно приятно 🙂. Что еще... Удобная кровать, чистые полотенца и хороший фен в ванной. Да, маленький милый балкончик 👍. Расположение изумительное: это тихая улочка в оживленном и шумном районе Стамбула. Словом, стопроцентное соответствие описанию и фото на Booking. Особо отмечу общение с хозяином: мы приехали далеко за полночь, на респешене никого не было, но для нашего заселения всё было готово. Мы провели три прекрасных дня в Kadiköy и если ещё окажемся в этих краях обязательно выберем Vicolo Moda.

Бакланы. Очень шумные, из-за них в пять утра ты уже на ногах. Но чайки, бакланы - это наверное нормально когда ты выбираешь жилье в пяти минутах ходьбы от моря.

Friendly staff, convenient location for Söğütlüçeşme station and Kadıköy centre/ferries etc. Staff allowed me to store luggage during day which was very helpful. Room itself newly renovated with working air-conditioning, clean sheets, bathroom, clean furniture, fridge.

Because my plane was delayed on arrival I found my room had been given to someone else. I was transferred to another hotel owned by the same people, which was fine but added extra hour to arrival (and had to take taxi to go there, and pay myself) when already late (3am!). Turned out later that credit card was charged twice (once online for original room and once in person for new room). Some parts of the new hotel (the "Piyola") were still under construction and lift did not reach to ground floor.

The bedding was fresh and soft to the touch. Room had a soothing layout and lighting. The hotel was quiet even during the day. Staff were attentive and kind.

Everything felt well-maintained and secure. The room was cozy and modern. Bed was extra comfortable and gave us great sleep. Staff were professional and friendly.
