the issue was the toilet it wasn't working. And the guy kept coming over multiple times we couldnt rest. We where there only 4 h and the guy came over 4 times to fix the toilet that was broken and not running. He was nice about it but we had to leave in the middle of the night. Serious plumbing issues at the one unit. Not dudes fault but to tell us at 12 midnight that he needs the plumber to come over instead of waiting for the next days was the last straw.

Reviewed Apr 2, 2026I stayed several times at Bosque Austral (visiting Tierra del Fuego). This apartment complex is at 10 minute walk from the bus terminal. The harbour (Tres Puentes) to the Porvenir Crossing can be reached by taxi in 20 minutes. The apartment is super clean and luxurious. No noise at all. Television channels in all languages. Very good breakfast included, with home-baked bread.

Reviewed Mar 31, 2026Getting into the apartment was easy. Very good kitchen, with espresso machine. Television with many channels. Very quiet location. Supermarket nearby on Plaza. Excellent breakfast with home-baked bread. Choose this apartment if you want to visit Puerto Natales or Tierra del Fuego (pinguins). Your host will help you getting there! On arrival at Punta Arenas Airport (PUQ) you may take an official taxi. They are not expensive and they know how to get to Bosque Austral.

Der Host hätte jeden Grund gehabt mir den Eintritt zu verweigern, ist aber tatsächlich so lange wach geblieben. Vielen Vielen Dank! Und ja, ich kann die anderen Bewertungen nur bestätigen, die 3 Katzen sind wirklich super nett
Die Gegend sieht wenn man nachts um 2 ankommt nicht soooo einladend aus. Der Uber Fahrer hatte sich sogar bisserl sorgen gemacht. Aber die Gegend ist völlig OK, und man ist schnell an den Stellen wo man hin muss

Reviewed Feb 26, 2026Excellent apartment with nice amenities and pretty furnishings. Nice hot water for showers. Fresh bread, meat, cheese, yogurt, and orange juice provided for breakfast. Host was friendly and helpful even though we don't speak Spanish. One of the neighborhood cats was friendly and allowed some pets, which helped with us missing our cats.
There is a short portion of the path from the driveway to the door that is gravel and grass, which is a little less than ideal for luggage on wheels. You can still roll luggage in the grass though.

Luis is extremely friendly and helpful and provided food for breakfast. The apartment is a little outside the city centre but an easy walk away. It is in an interesting area with shops nearby.

Alojamos con un perrito que tenía un patio hermoso para recorrer y tuvo las mismas comodidades que nosotros :) Nos dejaron un pan casero para el desayuno que estaba delicioso, la cabaña estaba muy bien equipada a nivel de electrodomésticos, incluso tenía una máquina para café en grano. Luis, que nos recibió y estuvo muy al pendiente de todo, nos hizo sentir como si fuéramos sus propios invitados :)
En general todo estuvo muy bien, lo único que podrían incorporar en la habitación es algún sillón o mesa para dejar la maleta, ropa o las cosas del diario. Tienen un clóset bastante amplio pero no es lo mismo. Es un detalle solamente a nivel de sugerencia.

Reviewed Jan 26, 2026From the street you can’t see what’s within. When you open the gate though everything is amazing from the meeting with the host to taking the apartment into use and to the shower.
The location is quite far from the center and perhaps not in the poshest environments of Punta Arenas. Otherwise todo bien.

Die Unterkunft ist mit Liebe eingerichtet und sehr gemütlich. Ein Spaziergang in die Stadt ist von der Unterkunft einfach zu machen.

Reviewed Dec 17, 2025Die Hotelanlage besteht aus mehreren bungalowartigen Appartements. Diese sind sehr geräumig und fast schon luxuriös ausgestattet. Eine Waschmaschine gehört genau so zum Inventar wie die Siebträgermaschine. Der Empfang war sehr herzlich und völlig komplikationslos. Frühstück wird jeden Abend zuvor bereitgestellt und ist vollkommen ausreichend, sowie von sehr guter Qualität. Hervorzuheben ist das täglich frisch gebackene Brot. Die Gegend ist absolut ruhig und relativ zentral. Parkplätze sind ausreichend an der Straße zu finden. Fazit: absolut empfehlenswert und 👍

The apartments are very good indeed with good heating, many tv channels and an espresso machine in the kitchen There are a few cats but you do not notice them. One supermarket nearby and many small shops. You may walk to the city center in 20-25 minutes. The owner Luis is very helpful if you need a taxi etc. (taxis are not expensive in Chile.) Punta Arenas offers a unique "End of the World" style of living. The boats to "Tierra del Fuego" are good! Even the arrival by air at PUQ Airport is interesting!

Good Breakfast included with ITALIAN coffee machine. Very good TV. Quiet location. There is a supermarket nearby. Most important: Luis will help you to get to Puerto Natales, to the Porvenir Crossing (nearby) etc.

Reviewed Mar 25, 2025Our family of three stayed two times one night at the Cabañas on our way to the airport. They are relatively new, very well equipped (great shower), nicely decorated and clean. They are ideal for 2 people but it was very comfortable for three for short stays. They are located in a residential and quiet area. It is about a 30 min walk to the center and a taxi costs around 2.000 pesos. The owner is also very helpful and breakfast is included (bread, cereals, yoghurt, ....). We certainly recommend it!

We had a car so we were fine but it is a bit far from city centre.

Reviewed Mar 14, 2025The host, who is living on the property, was waiting for us at the gate, even though we only arrived around 10pm. His niece was with him, who speaks excellent English, so communication was very easy (after a 36 hour flight we were very happy not to have to struggle with our very basic Spanish). There were both exceedingly helpful, Helping us trying to set up our sim card, even going to buy a different brand the next morning, doing reservations for us. Really wonderful. The cabana is spacious and comfortable. Everything is clean and fully working. They even have great home made bread for breakfast. The city center with lots of restaurants is only a few minutes away by car.
The drain in the bathroom was half clogged, so it always took the shower water a while to drain - that's really the only detail we can think of.

An excellent coffee machine, different types of coffee, wine was given to us and tasty round bread, yogurt fruit, cheese cornflakes and a lot more in the fridge. Chocloates on the beautifully covered bed. Beatiful apartment and lovely bathroom with hot water constantly. Everything shining new. Very nice helpful host

Reviewed Oct 29, 2024The cabin was very well equipped. We were able to do all the laundry that had stacked up during the long trip. Luis was very attentive, kind and helpful. He even helped deliver our bags to the airport when we were held-up by strong winds on our excursion. Without his help we would have missed our flights to our next destination. BIG THANK YOU to Luis!!!

Reviewed Oct 9, 2024Everything about this property and the owners was beyond our expectations. Very well done accommodations. With little extras that made us feel special and very comfortable. Loved everything about this property…only regret was that we only stayed one night.
Nothing…only thing is the property is not in city center so you will need to use an Uber or taxi or your rental car to get around.
