Hostel très agréable avec une partie commune propice à la rencontre. Emplacement idéal car légèrement excentré de la route principale très bruyante mais en restant largement accessible à pied. En tant que voyageuse seule, j’ai trouvé l’hostel idéal

The bed had curtains which is great, n its own bathroom. Location n breakfast was ok.

L’hostel est vraiment très mignon et vous y trouverez une ambiance très familiale et bienveillante ! L’équipe est vraiment très gentille et l’emplacement est idéal ! Tous les matins, un nouveau petit déjeuner et ils sont vraiment très bon !

I had a wonderful stay at Early Birds Hostel. The atmosphere was cozy, welcoming, and made me feel at home from the moment I arrived. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and always greeted guests with a smile. The hostel was exceptionally clean, well-maintained, and very comfortable. You can really see the care that goes into keeping the place in great condition. I highly recommend Early Birds Hostel to anyone looking for a clean, relaxing, and friendly place to stay. I would definitely come back!

Super nice place with a lot of facilities and cool team. I had a really amazing stay here. Nice neat place. Bed was comfortable, had good breakfast. Enjoyed the outdoor shower. Close to the beach and the town. The team is very friendly and cool.

I spent the best days at early birds and actually iam so sad to leave here at the moment cause I feel like iam leaving my family..anyway I highly recommend this place 🫡

Perfect location, calm area, close to the beach and surf spot, but also only a quick walk to the main road with restaurants and cafes. Relaxed and social vibe and very friendly staff, who help and organize everything you need. Would definitely come again.

Had such a lovely stay here!! I stayed in the female only dorm and felt really save as a solo female traveller/backpacker. very chill surfing vibe in the hostel overall, and the common area made it easier to meet people💗🌙🏄🏼‍♀️🌊🌞

I had a wonderful stay at Early Birds Hostel in Arugam Bay. The atmosphere is peaceful, friendly, and perfect for meeting other travelers while still having a quiet place to relax. The location is great like it’s just a short walk to the beach, surf spots, restaurants, and everything you need. The staff were incredibly kind, welcoming, and always happy to help with anything. The beds were comfortable, the rooms were cozy, and the breakfast was a lovely way to start the day. Some freshly cooked eggs with toasts and other side dishes… If you're looking for a hostel with a chilled vibe, friendly people, and excellent value for money, I would definitely recommend Early Birds. I would happily stay here again on my next trip to Arugam Bay!

‘Absolutely loved my stay at Early Birds; everything about the hostel exceeded my expectations. The location was ideal, given the proximity to a lot of restaurants, cafés and the most happening spots in Arugam Bay. The beach is practically just around the corner All the staff were great and took care of all our needs and kept us great company at the hostel! The hostel is super friendly, laid back, clean and comfortable. A special shout out to Sithara for making us feel right at home and giving us superb surf lessons at the best spots. Highly recommend staying here and catching some waves with the Early birds squad and having an amazing time in Arugam Bay 🤙!’

Loved my stay at Early Birds! I stayed in the dorm and had a great experience. Everything was clean, the beds were comfy, and I always felt safe. Sithara was always friendly and happy to help with any questions. I also really enjoyed hanging out in the evenings and playing carrom with everyone – it made the place feel really welcoming. The food was delicious, the location is great, and I met some lovely people during my stay. I’d definitely come back next time I’m in Arugam Bay. Highly recommend!

Die Lage ist einfach großartig! Es ist wunderbar ruhig, und trotzdem ist man zu Fuß ganz schnell am Main Point. Besonders toll fand ich auch den großzügigen Außenbereich mit viel Platz zum Entspannen und Verweilen.

Great place to stay. Staff were very welcoming, it was clean and the facilities were comfortable.

Pasi and Chuty were very friendly and helpful with anything that came up, always happy to help. It was clean, everything worked well and fixed quickly when needed. Location is close to main point. Drinking water tap is very convenient. Kitchen and fridge were available for guests to use.

Maybe I arrived early in the season, but not many people were hanging in the common area. Not much was going on.

The staff were great! The common washrooms and showers were very well maintained and made the stay way more comfortable. The other guests were also very nice and cooperative. Enjoyed chatting up with the staff and guests.

La posizione è ottima, vicino alla spiaggia e alla via principale. La doccia esterna e l'area comune sono carine. Lo staff è molto giovanile

La stanza è piccolissima e c'è un costante odore di muffa. Lo staff ci aveva detto che la colazione veniva servita dalle 8 alle 10, così ci siamo presentati alle 8 ma nessuno ci ha considerati. Dopo quasi 1 ora di attesa ci è arrivato un tè e delle uova strapazzate, stop. Il caffè non era disponibile. Il giorno successivo abbiamo deciso di fare colazione da un'altra parte. Lo sconsiglio alle coppie, magari i dormitori sono migliori

They have comfortable mattresses and there are curtains around the bed which i believe only available in this hostel in Arugam bay. The hospitality was exceptional, especially from Chloe, who manages the property with such warmth and care.

Super nice staff, comfy beds, big common area under the palm trees, outdoor bathroom, delicious breakfast, 5 minutes from the beach... Had a very good time there!

A superb inn, clean and well-maintained. The garden is very pleasant and the breakfasts are delicious. The best part: the staff. They're all adorable, smiling and warm. If I come back to arugam bay I'll choose Early Birds without hesitation.

I had the loveliest stay at Early Birds! It’s so close to the beach and the dorm was really nice- all the beds have curtains and the mattress is super comfy. The hosts are really friendly & welcoming and taught everyone some local games! Also, the breakfast was some of the BEST food I’ve eaten in Sri Lanka!!

Rooms were clean, air conditioning worked well and the staff was very friendly and always on site

the property is simple yet has everything you need. not a social hostel but still a great place to relax and a good base to explore from. the location is perfect, 15 minutes walk from town and 5 minutes to the beach!! the boys who work there are some of the friendliest people you will meet, so layed back but very helpful for all of your needs. if your looking for some quiet time, 10/10 would recommend!!

The best staff. Friendly and helpful. The manager helped a lot with my personal stuff. Clean room and toilet. Location was great, quiet and calm vibes, slightly far (just 10mins walk) from the main street, perfect to skip the noise.

Just the light room need to be stronger cause during the day is a bit dark inside the room if you need to find your stuff.

The staff are very sweet and try to help you where they can. They also allowed me to checkout after my first night without charging me for the second night which I appreciated. Breakfast was included, and was tasty. The Ac was good

When we arrived, there was no staff around. It took about 20 minutes for someone to arrive, then despite having received confirmation about the booking, they couldn't find it and kept asking to see it again and again. It took about an hour to get shown my room. The room is basic but fine, however there are no lights inside the beds (behind curtains) so makes it very dark. There is also no wall behind you to lean against in the bed. There were lots of ants crawling in my bed, and another girl's bed. I know there is not much they can do to stop this but it is really off putting. The toilet seat was also broken. The wifi did not work, and after talking to people who had been there a few days, they said it never works properly. Maybe works for 5/10 minutes, then stops again. They said they were trying to fix it but it was really frustrating. There was also no service/signal so I couldn't even use my own data. The location is about 10 minutes walking from the main roads/streets which is fine, except the road you have to walk has no street lights and as a solo female traveller this can be quite off putting. Due to all of these things, I left after the first night.

i find this property very well located as it is close to the main area but super quite. the breakfast every morning was devine!

if i would have to mention one thing maybe they could check the bathrooms more often for toilet paper as i had to ask twice during my stay. but that obviously didnt affect my stay at all!

I stayed in the Garden View Family Room. The room was clean, comfortable and the location is quiet yet close to Main Point. The staff were so kind and accommodating for me, and the breakfast they made was very tasty. Early Birds’ vibe overall is chill, and a perfect place to stay in ABay!

I just stayed 2 nights at Early Birds and it was lovely! The location is perfect as it’s quiet but still super close to the beach and main point, as well as Cafés and restaurants! The staff is lovely too and I appreciated the women’s only dorm.
