El chill-out de fuera es un sitio perfecto para conocer a gente en un ambiente tranquilo. La ubicacion es perfecta. Alargamos la estancia varios dias de lo encantadas que estabamos con el alojamiento
Como unica sugerencia, creo que se podria sacar mas partido a hacer "comunidad", con cenas, desayunos, musica, yoga, cine, juegos etc

Lack of multiplayer games and some musical instruments. Musical instruments is too much of an ask but I was expecting some board games to be present.

Reviewed Jul 10, 2026This is a great hostel!! My partner and I booked a private room and overall we have no complaints. The staff were great, the room was clean, and there were lots of friendly cats on the property which was a huge added bonus. Location was hands down the best, close to the beach and the busier part of the beach, and also close to all of the shops in the opposite direction. Perfect middle ground location and had the best of both worlds

Reviewed Jun 30, 2026The location is great. Seconds away from the beach and just far enough from the main road. That and staff allowing me to cancel my remaining nights are the only positive things to say.
I guess the place looked great in the past and hopefully will do again in the future. But currently it looks NOTHING like the pictures, SUPER RUN DOWN, dirty rooms, smelly towels, very noisy (you can hear literally everything from the rooms + bathroom next door and all the generators), no hostel vibe (guests not there to meet others), etc. Other fancier hotel rooms with access to pools on the same road are about the same price.

I especially loved the common area—it creates a great atmosphere and provides the perfect opportunity to meet new people. The facilities are top-notch and the staff gave me truly outstanding service. I highly recommend this place!

Reviewed Jun 10, 2026We had a great stay at Waypoint. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the hostel was kept very clean throughout our stay. The shared bathrooms were always tidy, which we really appreciated. The chill-out area with fans was perfect for escaping the heat, and the new on-site coffee shop serves really good coffee. The hostel is social and easy to meet people, but without the all-day party atmosphere. We’d definitely stay here again.

Loved the layout of the shared spaces which made the hostel very social and made lots of friends within hours. Owner is a lovely fella who went out his way to make the stay great. Mein Zimmer war direkt neben einer Baustelle die Aussicht war furchtbar. Fühlte sich an wie ein Nebenzimmer einer Rumpelkammer. Etwas beengend.

Unser Zimmer hatte leider nur ein kleines Fenster ausdem man einen Blick auf eine 1m entfernte graue Mauer hat. Durch die braunen Wände wirkte das Zimmer noch dunkler und kleiner. Für den Preis hatten wir in Sri Lanka schon wesentlich bessere Zimmer. Wir haben jedenfalls nach einer Nacht das Hotel gewechselt.

Es gibt nur ein Bad mit Dusche für 6 Zimmer mit je 4 Betten, es ist also nie frei. Außerdem hat es kein Spiegel und ist super klein. Dazu kommt noch das Klo, die Klo Rolle ist kaputt und die Spülung funktioniert nicht richtig.Die Steckdosen a den Betten passen nicht, die Klima funktioniert nicht richtig. Ingesamt war es sehr heruntergekommen und nicht sauber

Reviewed Sep 3, 2025Die Unterkunft liegt perfekt und man ist zu Fuß schnell beim Surfspot. Das war’s dann aber auch schon.
Das Haus ist ziemlich heruntergekommen und rundherum könnte viel gemacht werden. Das Personal liegt aber meistens in den Liegestühlen vor dem Eingang und spielt am Handy. Es wäre eine nette Bar dabei, welche aber nicht betrieben wird. Ich hätte gerne einen Kaffee gehabt, was aber nicht möglich war. Der zuständige Mitarbeiter sei krank gewesen. Ich verstehe nicht, warum keiner der anderen die Maschine hat bedienen können. Schade, man könnte viel mehr aus dem Ort machen.

Reviewed Aug 30, 2025A pleasant place. Clean and comfortable facilities, there's always someone in the reception to help with whatever you need. Good air conditioning. Great for solo travelers who want to meet good people and like to socialize.
No curtains in the beds so make sure to bring some sheet to hang if you need privacy. Also no blankets, only a thin sheet. And you need to bring your own lock for the locker (big locker with enough room for a suitcase+a backpack)

The manager contacted me & wife that stayed there for a week ( not 1!) that the money notes she gave him were not good!! He made her stay a disaster thinking she did something wrong or bad!! There are red ants that bite Stay at your own risk

The common area is so lovely, bright, welcoming, and a great place to relax with lots of entertainment available to stay busy and very social and calming. The bathrooms and showers were super too — super clean and well-maintained. The overall vibe of the hostel is really friendly and chilled, which made our stay so enjoyable. A special thank you to Roshain at reception — he was incredibly kind and helpful throughout our stay. When our transfer to the airport cancelled last minute, he went out of his way to help us find an alternative so we could make our flight. That kind of support made a big difference when we were very stressed, and we’re really grateful.
