Reviewed Aug 24, 2026The location and views are absolutely spectacular. We loved being able to watch game from our pool and deck. A bird watchers paradise, with perfectly selected shrubs and trees to bring unusual birds close to the house. The house itself was stylish, very comfortable and well equipped. The rates were a bit higher than the accommodation we usually rent, but this memorable spot was well worth every cent.
Instructions missed, as i did not realise that I had to click on what looked like a header to access the info. Quickly resolved by the friendly farm manager. Also had to request WiFi code as not provided initially, but the host was quick to assist, always friendly and helpful.

Reviewed Aug 17, 2026Zona bellissima , proprio sul fiume con piscina privata. Appartamento con due stanze e un bagno, tutto abbastanza nuovo, spazioso, ampio tavolo posto al di fuori
Forse perché siamo arrivati alla sera al buio e c’era un vento fortissimo ma arrivando lì non c’era nessuna luce, un minimo di timore ci è venuto 😁.
Da rivedere assolutamente la pulizia, letto, lenzuola e bagno non proprio puliti, capelli in diverse zone e lenzuola macchiate.

Reviewed Aug 8, 2026L' emplacement est juste somptueux, au bord d' une rivière et de la réserve, la vue est exceptionnelle. Nous y avons vu des éléphants, des crocodiles des hippopotames, des singes...les couchers de soleil sont somptueux, le calme est plus qu'appréciable, les bruits de la savane encore plus... La maison est propre et de bon goût, la literie confortable et la communication avec notre hôte fut très facile. Le petit plus non négligeable une adorable femme de ménage quotidiennement. Je recommande très fortement cet endroit si vous souhaitez profiter pleinement de l âme de l Afrique du sud !!!

Reviewed Aug 5, 2026Emplacement proche de l'entrée du kruger park, vue sur la rivière, sécurité de la résidence. Depuis la terrasse on regardait les crocodiles, éléphant et hippopotames.
Sortir à Malelane la ou il y'a le SPAR pour rejoindre le logement et ne pas sortir avant comme indiqué le GPS.

Reviewed May 15, 2026Breathtaking location on Crocodile river, on the banks of the Kruger national park, close to the southern Malelane gate. Modern house, fully equipped.
Nothing left on the table.
De locatie is prachtig met uitzicht op de rivier. Eigelijk heb je altijd iets te zien. We hebben elke dag nijlpaarden gezien en krokodillen. 1x een olifant die bijna totaan het zwembad liep en veel hertjes.
Het huis is mooi gedecoreerd en van de meeste gemakken voorzien. Een BBQ en vuurplaats en zelfs een ijsblokjesmaker, airfryer en nespressomachine zijn aanwezig.
Ik snap dat veel mensen het wat duur vinden, maar wij hebben ervan genoten dat is ook wat waard.
Het zwembad is wat koud (wij waren er in mei) en de schoonmaakpomp in dat zwembad maakt en beetje lawaai.

Полный набор для отдыха на природе - полная кухня, бассейн, терраса
Слоны, бегемоты, антилопы - в нескольких метрах от бассейна. У апартаментов - общая граница с Крюгер парком. Вид на реку. Идеально для наблюдения за животными под чашечку утреннего кофе или вечерний бокал вина-)
Сложно попасть. Если вы едите с Малелани гейта - формально - по прямой - это очень близко. Однако, в реальности, вам надо сделать большой крюк, уехав в противоположную сторону от отеля, чтобы развернуться.
Возможно есть другая дорога, но ни maps.me, ни Google maps это не показали.
Пока искали дорогу (после поворота с асфальта и съезда на грунтовую дорогу - тоже легко уехать не туда) - к воротам мы приехали уже когда было темно. Закрытая территория, никакого персонала рядом нет. Мы не получили инструкции как попасть внутрь (на самом деле, это просто - ящик с кодом и ключ внутри). Надо было звонить по телефону. Только проблема - там очень плохая мобильная связь и иногда она исчезает.
Когда мы смогли попасть внутрь, нас встретил хозяин и он был весьма приветлив. Использовал фонарик, чтобы показать нам слонов и антилоп совсем рядом от нашего коттеджа!
Однако, это было 18.45 и 10 минут, чтобы успеть съездить в SPAR (работает до 19.00)-((( Конечно, мы не поехали в город - это или 4 км по темной грунтовой дороге или 10 км по асфальту с большой петлей. Мы остались без ужина и завтрака. Но у нас было немного шоколада, орех и фруктов-) и бутылочка ликера от хозяина-)))

For now, the property was relatively private. However, it appears that more buildings are planning to be built around. Planting lots of trees will add a lot of value.
A single bathroom is going to be a challenge with two couples occupying the unit. The shower pressure was disappointing.

We loved everything, but if in the future you decide to add things, a washing machine might be ideal for people who stay for long or have kids, but otherwise, it's perfect

Reviewed Dec 15, 2025We had incredible views of the surrounding area and was very close to the Malelane gate. We even had some elephant visitors one evening which was incredible!!
The town of Malelane wasn't very tourist friendly but the facilities at the cottage allow to make your own meals and there are grocery stores nearby!

Reviewed Dec 10, 2025Da Simbini Cottage direkt an der Grenze zum Kruger NP liegt,( der Poolrand ist die Grenze) war es nie langweilig, Elefanten, Wasserböcke, Hippos, Nilgänse und Ibisse, alles in unmittelbarer Nähe, einfach fantastisch.

Reviewed Dec 3, 2025If I could give this property 100/10 I would. The most magical stay right on the edge of Kruger National Park where we saw so many animals from our house we almost didn’t need to leave.
The highlight was seeing elephants come right to our door and hippo watching!
The hosts were 10/10 helpful and lovely and the location was perfect for Kruger Safari and the Malelane gate (10 min drive away approx).
The local area had plenty of supermarkets for food (we used Woolworths and Pick n Pay), and we enjoyed a braai one night here.
Bed was super comfy and house was well stocked with what we needed and nicely decorated, clean and modern.
Nothing really, we loved it so much and one of the best places we’ve stay.
If we are being really picky, only slight things were WiFi didn’t work for 2/3 nights which was hard as we didn’t have data so relied on it.
Water pressure in the shower could be slightly stronger.
No indoor table to eat dinner during a storm.
No washing machine for laundry (we are travelling for a month so this is something we would have used).
But we would book it again in a heartbeat and loved it so much!

Juste une suggestion car vraiment rien à redire tout est bien passé : il manquerai un petit coin repas à l’intérieur dans l’éventuel cas de dîner tardif pour éviter les petites bestioles volatiles mais cela n’entache en rien notre avis très positif

Reviewed Sep 20, 2025Simbini Sunset Cottage conservera une place à part dans nos souvenirs. Situé au bord de la Crocodile river ( la bien nommée) le cottage offre une vue incroyable sur la faune locale, confortablement installé sur la terrasse ou dans la piscine, vous pourrez observer crocodiles bien sûr, mais aussi hippopotames, impalas, éléphants qui n'hésitent pas à s'approcher. Le logement lui-même est neuf, très bien équipé décoré avec goût, bref un vrai Havre de paix, qui ravira les passionnés de nature.
Tout était parfait.

La maison est parfaite, beaucoup d'équipement, propreté excellente !
Nous avons eu la chance d'avoir 8 hippopotames en face de nous et 3 crocodiles !
Plein de détails très appréciables : jumelles à disposition dans le logement, bouteille d'eau, une petite bouteille d'alcool locale, vaisselle de belle qualité, notamment verre à vin.
Calme en soirée.
Parfait pour finir les vacances sur un logement excellent !
Maison en construction à côté... Et route pas faite pour arriver dans le logement... Dommage.
Si possible, mettre 4 bûches de bois à disposition pour le barbecue car dommage d'acheter un gros sac pour une nuit :)
Prix élevé, ce qui nous a limité à une nuit dans la maison alors qu'on aurait pu y rester plus longtemps compte tenu du bon emplacement.
Le logement est top avec une vue incroyable. Propre, confortable et parfaitement équipée
Piscine sale, et malheureusement nous n'avons pas eu la chance de voir des animaux...
The house is stunning, exceptionally clean, beautiful view of the crocodile river.
The building next to us, it was noisy and ended at 5pm and then started again at 7.30am.
I think people should be made aware and not sure you price was worth it considering the construction right next to us.

Reviewed Sep 7, 2025Locatie, dieren aan je zwembadrand. Rustgevende inrichting, panorama uitzicht vanuit de slaapkamer en terras, goede verrekijker voor de gasten, ijsblokjes machine kortom top! Eigenlijk kun je Krugerpark overslaan als je hier 1 ntop accomodatie op acht verblijft.
Afwasmachine ontbreekt en dat is voor zo'n lodge, waarbij je zelf vaak kookt eigenlijk een must. Gebied is onder contructie, waardoor er veelvuldig stroomuitval is voor paar seconden en generator veel lawaai maakt op het terrein en veelvuldig dieseldampen verspreidt. Door de weeks veel werklui wat het contrast met de luxe zeer versterkt.
We misten alleen nog een heel klein tafeltje om buiten je koffie op te zetten

Beautiful well appointed cottage, comfortable beds and adequate facilities for our time there.
If was an absolute treat to watch the elephant cross the river and visit us right in front of the property! Loved it!
Close to Malelane gate was a big plus.
The occasional train was noisy, but didn’t distract from stay.

Reviewed Sep 30, 2024The location is gorgeous and the hosts were so lovely. There is a lot of game wandering past with some resident hippo's and crocs, which was great. The beds are super comfy and the decor is modern and comfortable. There are big windows which makes the property light and the game viewing easy. There are a lot of lovely thoughtful touches, like chocolates on the bed at check in, which we appreciated.
My suggestion is to read the accommodation information clearly before arriving. I am sure anyone choosing to stay here will have a wonderful time. It is a lovely spot.

Reviewed Sep 28, 2024The warm hospitality of the hosts (willing to assist with anything) and the location, good beds, wifi, tv (not that we used it really, but for a child is it is superb.) The views and outside areas were all good for the soul.
Maybe the trains that blow the hooter so many times. There are no pots, and not hot plate should you want to make a sauce or something. Not everybody like microwave cooking. And as a South African, I like to make potjie. Please add a cast iron pot for the fire to the collection. Also, more forks and knifes, dessert spoons. Also microwave dishes.
