Well equipped, clean, and Doug was so helpful from the very beginning!

The accommodation has everything that you could need while being on holiday and everything is in a 100% condition. Walking distance from the beach, shops and restaurants. The washing machine and washing line was very helpful. It was nice to have an outside braai area. The host is very friendly and helpful.

Doug is a friendly and responsive host. The accommodation is very well equipped with everything you need. Lovely comfortable beds! Great location for exploring the local area, either on foot, by train or vehicle.

Don’t know where to begin. This really was home from home. Despite visiting the Western Cape many times, I was yet to properly visit Fish Hoek. And I’m so, so glad I chose Doug’s place for my stay. Doug is super friendly, helpful and obviously really cares for his guests and his place. Everything that you could possibly need is there. Everything has been thought of and the reviews confirm Doug listens to feedback - the washing machine was a really helpful feature! Doug even was able to facilitate an early checkin for me, which was really handy. Couldn’t ask for a better host!! The place itself is quiet, secure and really big too!! It felt like a real home that was exactly what I wanted and needed. I felt so comfortable there and really was able to relax and enjoy the tranquility of Fish Hoek. Location is fantastic, just a few minutes to the beach, shops, restaurants and train station. Thanks again, Doug, for such a fantastic stay!!! 😁

We had a very comfortable stay here in Fish Hoek with our baby. It is so well equipped for a family stay by the beach. It's right in the centre for all the amenities and the beach plus close to the start of the hike up to Elsie's Peak which was stunning. Doug is very helpful and on hand!

Everything. It is better equipped than my own home. Everything you will need is there, and more. The location is better than being on the windy seafront. Four-minute walk to the beach and many restaurant's. Close to shops and supermarkets. Train service is good value and very reliable / cheap.

The location is so central,close to the beach and restuarants, coffee shops and stores.i love the flipfile with information the host had on the coffee table and all the things he made available that one would need for a stay close to the beach i.e. body boards, a weber braai stand, outside seating and washing lines to dry off your clothes after a nice dip in the ocean.

It would have been a bonus if there was a washing machine but atleast the laundromat was close by

A really comfortable place for resting and relaxing to get out of noise of CPT. A short walking distance to coffee shops, groceries and beach. Also central place to stay if you want to explore other surrounding towns and beaches. Also got to go to church next door.

Wow, Wow, Wow!!!  We would have liked to have kept this our little secret but we had to share! We recently had the pleasure of staying at Twelveon 1st and it was just wonderful, so much so we have already booked for next year! From the moment we arrived, Doug went above and beyond to ensure our holiday was comfortable and we had everything and I mean everything we needed. Twelveon 1st is home, from home and from the first day we felt very relaxed. The accommodation is bigger than we expected and decorated very nicely and so clean! The bed is really comfy and the shower is perfect especially if you have a disability like my wife. The outside space is very private and a lovely spot to relax etc. We can’t wait to return to Fish Hoek, thank you for everything Doug and making our holiday perfect for us! Highly recommended!

Awesome spot. Close to beach. The accommodation is more like a small house. A lounge dining room bedroom kitchen. What a gem. Will definitely be using this place for my travels to Cape Town

The nice welcome from Doug, the facilities inside the studio was thought after. We loved the detailed attentions and the bed and linen available. Top location close to beaches and center of town.

Beautiful place and the host is lovely. The place is exactly as seen in photos and bigger than we expected it to be.

We did not do breakfast at the accommodation. But there was more than enough crockery and cutlery had we chosen to cook there. Especially thoughtful was the outside ashtrays as most places just say no smoking on the property at all!

The location made it easy to get to interesting spots around the area. Doug the owner was friendly. Big space.

The 2nd (bedroom) is not really a bedroom. Ok bed for a kid with a couple but not for an adult and it's more a walkthrough room rather than separate bedroom. Mould in kitchen and bathroom area was not pleasant for the guests. Not a warm welcome as the owner was not there on guests arrival due to an emergency, but no Headsup.

Me & my friend loved everything about the place. The host was helpful & kind& the place is so well equipped , everything we could think of was there & more. Wish to have stayed for a week and not just a couple of days.. Everything one needs is there. Bonus points, I had a super comfy brand new mattress. Plenty of places nearby. Beach at Fishoek has the most amazing soft powder like white sand.

The atmosphere of the accommodation is great. Really like the way it was decorated and it had everything we needed. We felt very welcome by the host.

Perhaps the window covering did let in some sunshine in te morning to the bedroom. It made us get up early which was a good thing actually haha

What a great experience! The owner met us personally and made us feel right at home! The cleanliness, spacious living and sleeping areas impressed us the most. Little details made for great comfort during this stay like having a separate urinal for men right next to the toilet is a brilliant idea.

We loved how central, secure and easily accessible the property was. Although compact, the unit was extremely well equipped and comfortable, and had everything we needed for a self-catering stay. The host, Doug, was attentive and helpful without being intrusive. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Twelveon1st!

It is well located, central but quiet. There is a little view of the mountain from the patio. I like the use of space, the furnishings and the fact that everything is in excellent condition and spotless.

Doug the host was just awesome. The place is quaint and private. The establishment made sure that the basic essentials were available which was quoted sweet, basics that you do not need to buy. Doug was always on call and even provided a bottle of champagne when he discovered it was my son’s 21st. Homely and professional. Will definitely visit again!!!

The host was most accommodating and the venue was perfectly situated and clean and had all the required items . It was absolutely lovely and tranquil and the family enjoyed the entire stay.

A stunning apartment with a beautiful set up and services which exceeded our expectations given what we payed for. The owners, and their neighbours were very friendly and accommodating. We absolutely enjoyed our stay at Twelveon1st. The area is very safe. The owner went above and beyond to make sure we were well taken care off. The rooms are very cozy, and the beds are super comfortable! One of the highlights for me was that they offered complimentary materials for our breakfast. Also there was alternative enegy when there was load shedding. The toilet and bathroom were super clean. I really liked the concept of having a urinary in addition to the usual flush toilet suit. For males this really helps. We highly recommend Twelveon1st to any Capetonians or any other visitors who would like to have a goodtime in this portion of the city, and we would love to visit again!
