It was a friendly place where the staff went out of their way to be help out. The yard and the outside were kept very clean. The staff also were up to helping find solutions to any issues brought up.

Community kitchen was not the greatest, sadly not all guests were not as proactive with keeping things spotless which in turn invited issues that other guests or staff had to deal with, misquotes occasionally getting to my room.

Very nice and chill property. Great vibe. Amazing staff led by a lovely young lady named Precious. Will stay there again and recommend.

I loved the atmosphere of the guest house. I really felt like home. Precious, the young lady at the front desk is very friendly, she asked about my day when I arrived back. I absolutely loved the bungalow.

Très bien pour une nuit et on a été accueillis alors qu’il était quand même très tard, merci à eux.

Climatisation assez bruyante

I loved the room so much! We stayed in the bungalow, it was such a cute room with the most comfortable bed of the entire five week philippines trip!!! great coffee downstairs, with a beautiful garden area to hang out. air-con worked well. and we had a private patio all to ourselves. despite some other reviews, I found the bathroom to be fine with no complaints!

The wifi did not work very well in the room, that was the only thing missing.

Staff is very accommodating. The cafe below have good coffee.

The front desk officer, Precious, was incredibly friendly and accommodating, always ready to help and make guests feel welcome. Her warm and genuine approach truly made a difference in our stay. The garden was just as lovely, creating a peaceful, homey atmosphere that made it easy to relax. Every morning, we looked forward to breakfast; it had that comforting, homemade taste that truly felt like home. Abihon Hoferhaus definitely lives up to its name a place where warmth, comfort, and genuine hospitality come together beautifully. A stay here doesn’t just feel like a visit it feels like coming home. 😍💕

Water pressure in our chosen room was not that good but was fine.

Extremely basic facilities - the shared bathroom wasn’t good.

Śniadania były typowo filipińskie (ryż, jajka, mielona wołowina), więc co kto lubi. Wszystko było ładnie podane, czyste. Lokalizacja kilka minut spacerem od centrum Lapu Lapu. Obsługa zawsze miła i uśmiechnięta.

The hostess was incredibly kind and the garden space was welcoming and homely. We had the roof bungalow which was such a little city oasis!

Mieliśmy wspaniały pobyt w Abihon HoferHaus Mactan Guesthouse. Od samego przyjazdu czuliśmy się mile widziani. Personel był niezwykle uprzejmy, pomocny i zaangażowany – zawsze z uśmiechem i gotowością do pomocy. Ich podejście do gości naprawdę robi różnicę. Obiekt ma bardzo przyjemną, spokojną atmosferę. Jest czysto, zadbanie i komfortowo. Wszystko było dobrze zorganizowane, a pobyt przebiegał bez najmniejszych problemów. Lokalizacja również na plus – blisko lotniska, sklepów i restauracji, co jest dużym udogodnieniem. To miejsce z pozytywną energią i świetną obsługą. Bez wahania wrócilibyśmy ponownie i z czystym sumieniem polecamy każdemu odwiedzającemu Mactan. Zdecydowane 10/10!

The room didn’t have any windows!! The ac was very loud. The bathroom wasn’t very clean and the flush was broken. Now water pressure whatsoever, but a water heater

El personal era encantador, en concreto había una chica joven, su nombre es Precious, que era un amor. Nos ayudó en todo y fue muy muy amable. Un 10 para ella.

Aunque tenía un jardín muy bonito, la habitación no tenía ventana y sobretodo el baño estaba muy mal.

La atención de la recepcionista

No nos gustó nada, ya no solo que haya que compartir baño, sino que el baño estaba en otra planta. Fuimos a darnos una ducha por la noche y habían cortado el agua, la máquina del aire acondicionado era como tener un avión dentro de la habitación del ruido tan horrible que había. NADA RECOMENDABLE

Accueil merveilleux. Propriété et personnel aux petits soins et très accueillants. Belle grande chambre au calme. Celle de notre fille par contre avait les toilettes à l’extérieur de la chambre, mais était très bien quand même. Très beau jardin et possibilité de massage (très tonique!). Petit déjeuner par contre très sommaire

Das Personal ist sehr nett, hilfsbereit und die Außenanlage ist am Abend hübsch beleuchtet.

Eine Info zuvor: Wir haben hier nur kurz das Zimmer angeschaut und uns danach entschieden hier keine Nacht zu schlafen. Die Umgebung liegt in einer wirklich komischen und für uns nicht vertrauenswürdig wirkenden Gegend. Wir hatten im Vorfeld einen Scooter angefragt und es wurde uns gesagt, dass das mit einem Kontakt kein Problem darstellt. Am Ende war es doch eins und wir haben keinen Scooter ausleihen können, was für uns aber ein zentraler Punkt war, diese Unterkunft gewählt zu haben. Das hat auf unsere Beweggründe noch zusätzlich eingezahlt, direkt eine andere Unterkunft zu buchen. Außerdem war unser Zimmer mit einer Schiebetür nicht zuverlässig und sicher abschließbar. Das Badezimmerlicht funktionierte nicht, wurde aber wohl direkt nach unserer Abreise noch repariert.

Sehr gemütlicher Ort mit warmherziger Gastgebern. Die wunderbare Vermieterin Evelyn und ihre entzückende Nichte Prescious setzen sich voll ein, um meinen Aufenthalt richtig schön zu machen. DANKE für alles und ich freue ich auf ein Wiedersehen im Februar in Österreich! :-)

The atmosphere and outdoor area are beautiful. It’s a welcome rest from the hustle and bustle of the city. There is also a well equipped kitchen if you are inclined to cook. The staff are incredibly welcoming, helpful, and friendly. Thank you Evelyn!

A lamp beside the bed would have been nice.

La partie extérieure (jardin) de l'hotel, très agréable. La suite, très spacieuse. Le personnel vraiment adorable et plus que dévoué. La propreté des lieux.

Le fait qu'une des chambres ait les toilettes à l'extérieur, mais rien de rédibitoire.

Nous avions le bungalow, les fenêtres sont condamnées, donc pas d air et la clim avec un moteur très bruyant, impossible de dormir. La salle de bain est a part et partagée , et elle est INSALUBRE ! (Voir mes photos)Nous devions resté 2 nuits et sommes restés qu une nuit. Je ne comprends pas les notes a 10 ! Pourtant après 20 jours aux Philippines nous n avons jamais vu ça ! Nous ne sommes pas des difficiles, le logement peut être simple mais propre. Là ce n est pas là cas !

Afstand airport

Ik had een kamer geboekt met badkamer en ging er vanuit dat er ook een wc aanwezig zou zijn. Tot mijn verbazing was dat niet zo. De “kamer” bleek letterlijk in een garage te zijn gebouwd en ik moest steeds naar een publieke wc lopen. Echt onacceptabel. De ventilatie maakte net zoveel lawaai als een rijdende auto. Overal zaten schimmelplekken en er liepen beestjes over mijn bed. Ik voelde me er simpelweg niet veilig of comfortabel. Ik kreeg uiteindelijk een andere ventilatie-, maar die ging midden in de nacht kapot en begon naar brand te ruiken. Dit was echt een nachtmerrie. Daarnaast rook de badkamer even vies als een wc die een week niet schoongemaakt is. Ik snap niet dat Booking dit soort accommodaties toestaat. Deze kamer mag absoluut niet verhuurd worden. Verschrikkelijke ervaring.

The location close to the airport is amazing!! But mostly because it has a giant garden that is so nice to hang out in ☺️ It was my second time staying here and in this area, you cannot beat this place!

The toilet is not in the room, which is okay but not always ideal. There is a shower inside but it was a bit dirty… Could improve on that. But everything else is top notch, really!!

This is a lovely, comfortable, and calming place. It’s a great location and you have everything you need in terms of food, drinks, massage, and perfect ambiance. The girl who mainly took care of us, Precious, is the true meaning of her name. Keep shining Precious! And give Pancho some love from us.

staff were (mostly) friendly

NO HOT WATER in the room, staff didnt care at all, only said they would call a technician who would arrive after i check out 🙄 and didnt think that i should get a discount or any compensation since i couldnt even shower. The wifi doesnt work in the room (i stayed in the manta room, maybe the others do have) and there is barely any reception. The room smells extremely musty/moldy and you cant even open the blinds to get any daylight in the room. Definitely not worth 20€ a night when i thought i would get something better than a hostel. I expressed my disappointment and the staff didnt care at all.

We arrived very late at night because of our flight and an additional delay - we still enjoyed a quick check-in and finally reached our very very comfortable bed fast, which at that point was all we wanted. The staff was super friendly and nice and the stay was all we needed. It is located very close from the airport and very close to connecting buses in the city for your onward travel to other places. The interior of the room is very nice and modern and the bed is super comfortable. We would definitely stay here again!

The very friendly young lady that checked us in said that some people complain about the roosters next door but we think that if you complain about roosters in the Philippines, you are traveling the wrong country haha

Nice and cozy Hostel with authentic vibes, great atmosphere and super friendly staff. Feels like living together with a Filipino family. For us very important: the hosts are dog lovers

The room is a great size and the staff were lovely. It offers excellent value for money.

The property feels a little dated and the Wifi wasn't up to scratch during our stay. Noisy cockerells and barking dogs can be a nightly annoyance anywhere in the Philippines but they seemed particularly bad here.

Es war ein unvergessliches Erlebnis! Wir hatten unseren ersten Tag auf den Philippinen lediglich als Zwischenstop geplant, aber hatten eine unglaubliche Zeit bei Evelyn! 😊 Der Bungalow war sehr sauber und perfekt zum Schlafen, der liebevoll eingerichtete Garten war wunderschön und Evelyn ist einfach eine unfassbar liebevolle Gastgeberin und ein toller Mensch! 🙏🏻😊 Wir haben einen wunderbaren Abend mit vielen Gesprächen und Geschichten erlebt und sie hat uns am nächsten Tag mitgenommen und uns die die Gegend mit seinen Highlights gezeigt. 🤩 Man kann sagen, dass wir uns mehr als wohlgefühlt haben und wir trotz der kurzen Zeit das Gefühl hatten, uns von Freunden zu verabschieden! Danke dafür ❤️

Ich könnte nichts erwähnen was mir gefallen hat

Ankunft sehr kompliziert mein gebuchtes Zimmer war weg weil ein Kunde verlängert hat ist dass mein Problem? Ich glaube nicht,uns wurde dann erzählt wir bekommen ein besseres Zimmer aber im oberen Stock ich habe extra Erdgeschoss gebucht wegen Knieprobleme und vielen Koffern,dass Zimmer lag direkt unter der hauseigenen Bar welche bis 23uhr laut Musik hat und bis 02 ohne Rücksicht diskutiert wurde wir mussten um 03 abreisen wegen frühem Flug und waren beide müde und sehr enttäuscht….
