Forkfield Country House

Lovely house and comfortable. Not too far outside Westport. Plenty of space and clean. Enjoyed our time here.

We come to Westport every year, but this was our first time staying in Forkfield Country House and we were delighted. The location for us was super and just a 10mins drive into the town. The owners contacted us about arrival times etc beforehand to make sure the house was ready for our stay which was a nice touch! The house was very spacious and all the bedrooms were quite big and we all had a lovely night sleep. We had everything we needed for our family stay and would defo have a return visit.

A few small things not worth mentioning but for me it was the house had no blinds so we all (kids) woke quite early.

The house was very spacious. It had all the amenities to make our stay very comfortable. The location was great, it is set back from the road so the house was very quiet.

The property was freezing on arrival to the point of towels and bedding feeling damp- I literally slept in my coat the first night- as did the children- property was not well cleaned- my children wouldn’t walk around without their socks on. Not welcoming at all.

House as described. Plenty of space. Great showers. Had everything you needed. Quiet location.

plenty of rooms beds for all. super clean house. don't hesitate to book. convenient to a tesco and 5 minutes from westport for shopping sights! would recommend.

Perfect location for a country side stay but super close to the town and easy to get into with public transport. We loved the farm animals around the house.

The cleanliness’s needs to be improved, we found the washing machine with damp musky smelling items. The towels supplied smelt of damp washing.

Ottima posizione: immersa nel verde tra villette e pascoli di mucche, ma a pochi minuti di macchina dalla bella e attrezzata Westport. Cucina e lavanderia super-attrezzati. Molto belli i due salottini. Tante camere da letto. L'host è stato molto gentile e disponibile.

Nonostante l'assistenza dell'host e del suo factotum non siamo riusciti a far funzionare il riscaldamento una sera che faceva particolarmente freddo, ma comunque c'erano coperte a sufficienza per dormire in maniera confortevole.

The house is spacious and comfortable. Very clean and everything we needed was there. Great location (5km from Westport) with ample parking.

Heating took awhile to kick in, but when it did, The house got very toasty! 😀

Very clean and homey. Nice rural location with short distance to Westport and easy access to all the area has to offer.

Radiators not working properly. Needed to be bled or something . It was a cold weekend in Westport so we did feel the lack of heat in the home.

House is lovely, great space and close to town. Beds were very comfortable and it was very clean. There was a great view of the stars as well.

lovely cosy 4 bed house sleeps 8. we were a party of old friends having a reunion, approx 5tkm from Westport town, clean bright and airy, plenty of heat and hot water, person who meet my friends who arrived before me said they were friendly and very helpful, would definitely recommend this accommodation suitable fir friends and families and close to plenty of places to eat in Westport , we ate dinner two nights in Westport Country hotel just couple klms up the road. 5 stars. would recommend to friends and family 🧡

Conor’s house is lovely! A very spacious four bedroom house (three doubles and a twin room) with two reception rooms and two bathrooms (one en-suite). All amenities are catered for, including iron, ironing board, hairdryer, washing machine, tumble dryer, even an air fryer! The TV in the lounge is a smart tv where you can sign in to your own streaming services. The house is located in a great spot for exploring the west. Just five minutes from Westport, with Croagh Patrick and the beach not much further. Westport harbour is a fabulous place to explore. We were a family of four, with two adult kids and we had loads of space. The host (and his extended family) were very friendly and helpful and responded quickly to our queries. I would definitely recommend this house and hope to return again soon - thanks Conor!

This property is a true home from home. The hosts have thought of everything to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. The property is close to Westport town 5 minute drive. The property is spotlessly clean and modern while still retaining its country feel. I cannot recommend this property highly enough and we will return.

This was a great holiday home for a large family, conveniently located not too far from Westport. The house was well equipped. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

There were a few things that were suggested to the hosts, which I hope they will take on board to improve future guests' stay.
