Westport Country Chalets

Great location for Westport town and Clew bay beaches and for beautiful places in Co. Mayo, Co. Galway and Connemara. View of the mountain from the bedroom. You can park right next to the chalet which has all essentials for a few days break in peaceful surroundings.

This is an EXCEPTIONAL spot to stay in if you are coming to Westport! About 6 minutes from town, easy cab ride (12 euro) if you don't want to drive. So beautiful and quiet and Donna and John are excellent hosts! Any questions we had, they answered immediately and gave us great information about the area. This is the most comfortable bed I've slept in on any trip I think! Wonderful facilities overall and we are hoping to get back soon. If you're coming to Westport, this is your place to stay! Sit on your porch with a pint or a pour and enjoy!

Very cosy. Contained everything I needed for my stay. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. It was the perfect distance from Westport. Donna and John F were fantastic hosts.

I stayed at Westport Country Chalets in June 2026 and enjoyed it so much, I returned in September 2026. The chalets are clean and comfortable with secure parking. An ideal place to relax and unwind. They are perfectly situated for exploring the wonderful County Mayo. There is something for everyone in the area. Walkers are well catered for with various mountains within driving distance, including Croag Patrick and Wild Nephin National Park. Plus, the well marked Mayo Trails, which are available online (thoroughly recommend) There's The Greenway, for cyclists and walkers, and if you enjoy taking part in a parkrun on Saturday mornings, there are several to choose from. There's also the coastline too, with some wonderful beaches and amazing cliffs. On top of all this, there's Westport itself. One of the friendliest and cleanest towns you will ever visit. You will never go hungry or thirsty in Westport. There's a couple of well stocked supermarkets too, if you decide to go self catering. I'm already looking forward to my next visit to Westport Country Chalets.

Having to return home after five days.

Beautifully decorated, self-contained building on a very pretty property. The hostess was very welcoming and sweet.

The bathroom was on the moist side. Had to run the fan almost non-stop.

We had a lovely stay at these chalets. They are a perfect base for exploring Westport and beyond. They are very well kept and have a fabulous view of Croagh Patrick from the bedroom window. Taxis into town were very easy to get and affordable so being outside of town didn’t matter to us. I would highly recommend Donna’s chalets to anyone looking to visit Westport.

We loved all the little extras like olive oil in the kitchen literally every detail taken care of !! It was so lovingly decorated and cosy we had the best time and the host Donna was so friendly and helpful

Very welcoming host. Cupcakes on arrival and facilities were extremely clean and up to date. Host even had milk in the fridge to make a cup of tea on arrival. Very impressed and would 100% recommend.

Potential to have a fold out bed.

Nous avons été très bien accueillis par la propriétaire ; des cupcakes nous attendaient à notre arrivée :-D des céréales pour le petit-déjeuner et du lait étaient à disposition. Le chalet est très bien agencé, très propre, grand espace intérieur avec une chambre séparée et une belle salle de bain. La cuisine comprend l'indispensable pour cuisiner, déjeuner ; il manquerait juste un couteau bien aiguisé. La literie est confortable, l'environnement très calme et à proximité de la ville et de lieux magnifiques à découvrir.

Beautiful accommodation, suitable for trips by car to the surrounding natural areas. The cottage is spacious, cozy, modernly equipped with everything you need.

It was a quiet location but very central for all adventures. The cabin is beautiful. The porch in the front was lovely first thing in the morning with cup of coffee listening to the birds singing and watching (Steve) the robotic lawnmower go about his morning routine.

There was not a single thing wrong with the property.

Das ist keine Kritk, es sind einfach Sachen, die ich gerne anderst hätte: - Die Lage ist direkt an einer Strasse, es ist sehr laut, vor allem zum Einschlafen - ich habe gerne sehr harte Matratzen, diese war sehr weich

Confort, modernité et équipement. Les quelques denrées alimentaires à disposition. Qualité de la literie

Des petits détails manqueraient éventuellement : une poignée à la porte de la salle de bain pour pouvoir la tirer quand on est dedans, une petite lampe sur la table haute, la table haute qui est un peu trop collée au mur car on est gêné par les rideaux. Mais rien de bien méchant.

Gemütliche Unterkunft, die alles bietet, was man für einen angenehmen Aufenthalt benötigt. Wir haben uns hier sehr wohlgefühlt und unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Außerdem wurden wir herzlich begrüßt, was uns direkt willkommen fühlen ließ.

Heating main area went on and off, could be us.

The Chalet was exceptional, home from home and a great location. Very close to Westport. The Chalet was very clean and cosy.

Gorgeous chalet, had everything we needed and more. The laundry was a huge bonus for us after touring around and the heat wave! Felt like home in Canada! :) Great proximity to Westport and yet a bit of the country feel being out of town, loved it!

Excellent stay in a lovely chalet. Clean, comfortable, and in a great location close to Westport. The hosts were very welcoming, and everything was well organised. A perfect base for exploring the area. Highly recommended!

The chalet was fabulous and So welcoming when opening the door. So well equipped and extremely comfortable. The shower was amazing, the best we have used. The location was great . We would like to say a very big thank you. We would highly recommend Westport Chalets.

Property just a little tired Needs a bit of TLC

Accomodation was good.The chalet was a good size .The beds were comfortable. The bathroom was excellent as was the fridge, gas cooking top and electric oven. The heating was effective in the cool mornings. Location being 4km from Westport and food shops was practical.

My friend has a back condition and found neither the sofa nor breakfast bar seat comfortable. My friend instead lay on the bed to relax.We did not contact the host Donna to see if there was an option.

The bed was extremely comfortable, the chalet was cosy and location was exceptional. We were very grateful for the taxi and takeout numbers too. The guys were even kind enough to leave us bread, butter, milk, coffee and cereal for arriving. Highly recommend

Great 1 bed chalet, comfortable and much better value than an overpriced pokey hotel room locally.

Everything was great clean and friendly.

We loved our stay. The chalets are located in the hills outside of Westport, which we loved. Westport was a short drive away, and multiple taxi options were listed in the chalet we stayed in. The accommodation made it easy to arrive, settle in, and go enjoy the day. Easy parking and had all the facilities you could need. Also, the self check in and checkout was super easy.

Westport chalets offer a quite peaceful location with wonderful scenery and close to Westport town. Donna and John are wonderful people and will do anything they can to make your holiday memorable

Quite basic. No microwave. Plastic flowers . No welcome pack of bread / milk shampoo/ conditioner-considering how far it is from town.

The chalet was very comfortable with everything that I needed for my holiday. Gorgeous views.

It was close to a road and there was quite a lot of road noise during the day. No problem at night.

Amazing location had everything we needed, the hosts are lovely too! 100% will be booking again!!

The location was fantastic. Close drive or cycle. But peace and quiet from town noise and very relaxing. Will definitely return there next year

The water in the bathroom sink was going down v slowly

A warm, cosy, private cabin (one of two) not far from town but quiet and peaceful with all you need for a pleasant stay. We had gorgeous views of Croagh Patrick! Donna was very responsive and friendly. Highly recommended.

We loved the great communication. Quiet location, plentiful parking, complimentary milk and cereal, washing liquid and even netflix! Perfect for one rainy day. Donna and John F have really given some thought to making the Westport chalets as comfortable and welcoming as you could ever wish.

We had a great stay in Westport Country Chalets. The chalet was warm, clean, spacious and cosy. The shower was 10/10 and the kitchen facilities were perfect, everything you needed. The view from the chalet of the mountains was stunning. We were blessed with the weather too. It's just a short drive into town where you have everything. Great location! Hosts were super at communicating too! Great stay, would absolutely recommend! Only thing I'd mention is that I would recommend having a car with you if you plan on staying here to get around. The onsite parking is perfect too!

Very cute little chalet. Private and quiet. It's away from Westport about 15 minutes by bike. Peaceful get away.

The location was great, just outside of town but near enough for access for cafes / shops etc The chalet was in a beautifully kept garden area and looked so attractive from outside. Inside it was modern, super clean and very comfortable, with everything you could need for a super stay.

We didn't realise it was an open plan chalet. Would have preferred separate sleeping quarters. I think the other chalet might have this.

We loved the location. The peace and quiet. It was a very cosy and comfortable stay. Highly recommend.The chalet had all amenities for cooking and washing. Extremely well fitted out with all you need. Donna and John F checked in on us several times and made sure we didn't want for anything. Brought over fresh towels. We had a lovely week touring Westport town and Westport House, Achill, Renvyle, Clifton and all the beaches.

Luxury beautifully furnished, comfortable chalet with well chosen art work and lovely bedtime candle lamp. Superb view of the Mountain and so well placed for the spectacular beaches of Clew bay and within easy reach of the pretty and lively town of Westport with great restaurants, music and shops.

The location was accessible to shops, restaurants and to enjoy the sightseeing attractions. The hosts were kind enough to leave numbers for taxis and take aways menus if required. A very relaxing stay . Our host Donna was on call at all times and emailed us regularly to enquire about how we were getting on.

Really couldn't find fault with this property. Will definitely be returning.

Chalet was spotless and in a safe secure position behind electric gates. Very convenient for exploring West coast around Galway and Mayo.

Bed was only 4'6" double bed.

Nothing really, not enough towels but we rang Donna and she was straight over with more , possibly instructions on working the cooker as we don't have gas at home but we figured it out lol

Location was very close to everything we wanted to do. Donna was very helpful and quick to answer any of our needs.

Fire alarm kept going off while cooking.

The chalet is peaceful and comfortable. We enjoyed sitting on the porch in the rocking chairs, reading and drinking tea. The hosts are delightful and there is so much to see and do in the area that we would have been glad to stay for longer than 3 nights. We were lucky to have warm, sunny weather and the amazing treat of the Northern Lights.

Everything the location the chalets were clean comfortable and the area was nice and peaceful. It was 5star quality
