House is absolutely superb location is 15 min from westport no problem getting a taxi

Nothing house was outstanding

We’ve had a fabulous long weekend away for our friends wedding and stayed at the yellow house. There were 9 adults and the rooms here accommodated our party perfectly. The house was clean and had all the facilities you’d need. Jimmy, the host, was very attentive and checked in to make sure we’d arrived and we’d got everything we needed. Thanks so much :)!

Not a dislike but it is a taxi ride away from the centre but we knew this before we booked it and we were fine arranging taxis for us all to and from and it was only a 10minute drive.

Jimmy was fantastic, we had a lovely stay in Ireland visiting family and it was made all the better by having such a great place for our large family to all meet. The house is huge with plenty of bedroom and is traditional Irish farm house feel.

Nothing we wouldn't have changed a thing.

This seemed more like a private home than an accommodation. There were plenty of bedrooms, a fully stocked kitchen & dining area and a large very comfortable front room with couches and a TV. The bathrooms were nice and there was plenty of hit water. We enjoyed coffee & tea outside on the patio every morning. They thought of everything, even spare baby pacifiers if needed. We really enjoyed our stay.

The single bed upstairs needs to be replaced, and shower downstairs was very poor

The place is very spacious and perfect for large groups. We had lots of room each and plenty of fun meals around the large table. It's exceptionally peaceful and we all slept well. The host could not have been more helpful, recommending bike hire, taxi firms and fishing guides.

Hard to fault but locations and lack of bus service meant we were reliant on car. But we knew that before booking so it's not really a fault. And you get the peace and quiet of the country.

Plenty of space, very well stocked, comfortable beds, Jimmy was a wonderful and responsive host, having three bathrooms and washer/dryer was fantastic!

Very spacious bright house. Lots of indoor areas to sit plenty of room to entertain - I imagine it would be lovely outside in the summer. Great view of Croagh Patrick -very close to Westport. Host had decorated for Christmas which was lovely & left us enough wood etc to start a good fire.

Unfortunately the kitchen in particular & bathrooms were very dirty. I have never experience this in 18 years of renting various properties in and around Westport. There was a layer of thick grease over kitchen tiles and inside the microwave. The floor had not been cleaned and still had debris on the floor from prior use. The downstairs bathroom had engrained dirt around the dustbin. The shower enclosures were mouldy and had clearly not been cleaned for a long time. I spoke to the owner about this and he reduced our cost by the cleaning fee but I really think this property needs a deep clean. One of the upstairs showers did not work (the owner did try to resolve). My feeling is both bathrooms upstairs need renovation there’s lots of patch up type fixing around the showers and basins.

Fabulous roomy house ,plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms .downstairs bedrooms and bathroom was ideal for my elderly parents,loved big kitchen table all sitting at it together having breakfast...lovely and quiet at night for a great nites sleep.❤️

Wonderful stay in a peaceful and well-equipped home We had an amazing time at this beautiful house! It’s perfectly located away from other homes, so it’s very quiet and private. The outdoor area with a children’s playground and grill was a great bonus. Inside, the house is spacious and perfect for enjoying meals together. It’s fully equipped with everything we needed — we didn’t miss a thing during our stay. Jimmy and Una were always available and ready to help if needed. Highly recommend!

We had a lovely stay at the yellow house. Nice and big, loads of facilities. The host was lovely and checked in on us to make sure everything was ok. We even left a few things behind on accident and he kindly offered to send them to us. Location was great, lovely view! We will definitely stay here again if we come back to Westport.

We especially liked the kitchen, dining room and lounge areas. Lots of room for our party to move about in. The house was warm and comfoirtable throughout.

The single room on the first floor had no easily accessed toilet / bathroom. The occupant had to descend the stairs to use the downstairs bathroom. There was a very loud noise in the upstairs family room, which made it difficult to sleep most nights! The sound was like that of an automatic pumping sytem! The occupents could not understand why it was so noisy!

Thank you for a lovely stay at The Yellow House. It was perfect for our family holiday. Seven adults, two kids, one baby and our Cocker Spaniel Ruby. We all fitted comfortably. We felt right at home. Beautiful big dining room table, comfy couches to sit on, we wanted for nothing. Our host Jimmy was so helpful and gave us brilliant suggestions about things to do and see. We really enjoyed coming back after a day of sightseeing and lighting the fire each evening. The kids had great fun and danced and sang in the big hall. It is such a great house for family get togethers. We have made very happy memories for years to come and will always have very happy ones of our time spent together in the Yellow House. I would 100% recommend staying here and if we are in the area again we will be back. Thanks again.

Spacious and well equipped, so if you are travelling as a large group, this house comes highly recommended. Given the location, serves as a good base for Castlebar or the general Galway/Westport area. Jimmy was a great host, and promptly handled any requests/queries, and was even very pro-active with suggestions for things to do/see in the local area. Fireplace was set on arrival, which acted as a welcoming touch. We travelled here during Ireland's colder months, but the garden and surrounding areas are well kept, so for the summer months guests will have use of an attractive surrounds/garden too.

The host was very helpful throughout and gave plenty of information to us about the area and what is available to us throughout our 2 week stay. House was lovely and clean, very comfortable and in a great location. Will definitely be back

We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Westport and to the Yellow House. It was a wonderful weekend and the house was perfect for our family to get together to celebrate a big birthday. Jimmy was very helpful before, during and after our visit. I highly recommend
