Der Raum oben ist etwas klein und dunkel. Mit Klimaanlage aber ok zum schlafen.

Everything was so great!

Super mooi huisje met heerlijk terras met mooi uitzicht. Alles wat je nodig hebt is aanwezig, zelfs yogamatjes te leen en wandelstokken!

Alleen de weg er naartoe is wat uitdagend maar dat is op veel plekken op Madeira.

Mooie en rustige locatie. Fijn en sfeervol huisje. Contact met de (Nederlandse) eigenaar - Jeroen - was erg fijn. Hij gaf allerlei goede tips om de vakantie fijn te starten. Aanrader voor gezinnen met kinderen die niet te veel drukte om hun heen willen.

Was niet veel op aan te merken. Als ik dan iets zou moeten noemen, zou het het gebrek van kastruimte in de keuken zijn, waar we eigen etenswaren kunnen bewaren. Nu stond alles op het aanrecht of op de koelkast. Beetje kastruimte zou handig zijn, maar dit is slechts een detail.

Heel mooi huisje! Alles ademt luxe en gezelligheid. Locatie is geweldig en Jeroen’s tips van de omgeving en restaurants maken alles super. Het zwembad is ook heerlijk.

Adorable house, well equipped with everything needed to house and feed our family of 4. The setting is beautiful - so nice to sit out on the patio and see the view. Jeroen clearly cares deeply and has thought about every little thing. It was so clean! On top of it, Jeroen is like a fountain of love. He made us feel so welcome.

Charming, well equipped and clean. A lovely stay with a friendly host who provided recommendations. It was self contained with a good kitchen and nicely decorated. Great terrace to enjoy the sun and shared pool access was lovely (we never saw anyone else). Decent hair dryer, had a long mirror and extra towels. Overall a great base to explore Madeira from.

Entry via a very steep hill but this is not uncommon in Madeira. Recommend ensuring you turn your car around so when you leave in the morning it’s facing the right way!

Eine sehr schöne Anlage mit einer schönen Terrasse mit Meerblick. Es sieht im Grunde alles genauso aus wie auf den Fotos. Die bequeme Betten sind extra zu erwähnen. Auch der sehr freundliche und unkomplizierte Kontakt. Alles war da was man so braucht. Die netten Gastgeschenke haben uns auch sehr gefreut.

Die Anfahrt zu Unterkunft, sehr eng und steil, aber machbar.

The house was spotlessly clean, well equipped, and tastefully decorated. Jeroen was very thoughtful and helpful. I enjoyed heavenly massages from Lucy in the comfort of my own house, which I warmly recommend. I slept like a baby in the large, comfortable bed.

It’s only a minor detail, as my stay was excellent, but I had expected a bit more privacy in the garden/terrace. It’s not entirely clear from the photos, but the gardens overlook each other, and the large villa across the field is also visible.

Pontos mais fortes: sem dúvida que a calma do sitio, ouvir os pássaros e as instalações estavam impecáveis! Muito obrigado!

Lovely place; lovely setting, comfy beds, great facilities, clean. The house had 2 separate bedrooms and our 2 kids loved their loft area. I loved hearing the birds and the sunset views.

Красивая, современно обставленная вилла, в которой есть все для проживания, а так же комплимент от владельца, который был очень вежливым и приятным. Шикарный вид на океан с горы. Общий бассейн на четыре домика, к которому нужно было совсем немного пройти, но у нас было достаточно холодно и мы им не воспользовались.

Das war die schönste Unterkunft die wir je hatten! Alles war perfekt. Das Haus ist noch schöner als auf den Bildern. Der Blick aufs Meer ist toll. Der Garten ist wunderschön, so das wir eigentlich den ganzen Tag nur dort sein wollten. Die Unterkunft und die Küche sind perfekt ausgestattet. Es gibt sogar Yoga Matten, Wanderstöcke, Kofferwaage, Strandtücher, Kerzen. Alles einfach :D Jeroen ist super nett, total hilfsbereit und wir haben sogar Geschenke am Anfang bekommen: Wein, Schokolade, traditionellen Kuchen. So nett. :) Wir würden immer wieder kommen und können die Unterkunft zu 100% empfehlen. Vielen Dank für den tollen Aufenthalt :)

Beautiful House, attention to detail made our stay extra special. The house is well equipped, beds are comfy, location is great - nice and quiet but close to local restaurants. The host was super nice!

De plek is geweldig. Mooi terras. Prachtig uitzicht. Heel comfortabel onderkomen. De keuken is van alle gemakken voorzien. Prima badkamer en slaapkamers.

De verlichting om in bed nog te lezen zou handiger kunnen, maar dat is een futiel detail:)

The property was lovely. Big, bright and airy. The host communicated with us early in the day and was very friendly and provided us with a lot of information. He then met us at the property when we arrived. A very nice chap. The rooms were spacious, bright and comfortable. Unfortunately the weather was not on our side but we felt happy to spend more time at the accommodation during the day then we had originally planned to. The view from the balcony out front was spectacular and we had clear sight of the sea and surrounding cliffs. The facilities were clean and tidy, the bed super comfy and the whole experience was great.

The road to the property is a little hazardous due to the incline of the hill. That is by no means the properties fault, more the topography of the area. The car parking was quite tight and we had to be super careful when manoeuvring the car around as it would have been easy to have struck the cliff/wall to the side of the parking area. Again, this is not an issue that the property and host can do much about, it is more a word of warning to be careful when arriving there.

Het mooie uitzicht, privé tuin en een ruim huisje met alles er op en er aan. Zelfs yogamatjes, spelletjes en boeken te leen wat het een heerlijke week maakte.

Niets. Enkel de stijle weg er naar toe is in het begin wat spannend. Maar dan went vanzelf.

Perfect voor elkaar!

Absolutely lovely little house overlooking the sea at Calheta with a great terrace with views and comfortable furniture to sunbathe and read and table and chairs for meals. Interiors also beautifully designed. Our host was brilliant. Great recommendations for sightseeing and eating - we just worked our way through the list and were never disappointed. First class stay. Small car is best for Madeira’s roads and tight parking. We would return in a heartbeat.

everything was as expected, a very nice little house, everything you need is there (even a torch for hiking tunnels..!), perfect place for 2, great location, nice terrace and small well maintained garden, quiet, clean, and a super nice and helpful host!

you really need to know how to drive a car on a steep road to get there - but that is probably true for all of the island of Madeira :-)

Понравилось абсолютно всё. Расположение отличное, домики очень уютные и стильные, отдельно хочу отметить сад - очень ухоженный. Владелец очень приветливый, приветствовал бутылкой вина и дал хорошо рекомендации по острову.

Het huisje is echt ongelofelijke compleet. Er ontbreekt je aan niets en je hebt een mooi uitzicht over de zee. Het is verder heerlijk rustig. Echt een fijne plek om even tot rust te komen.

We hebben heel hard gezocht naar iets wat er zou kunnen ontbreken, maar we hebben niets gevonden. Het parkeren is wel een uitdaging vanwege de stijle weg, maar dat was voor ons geen probleem.

Der Besitzer, Jeroen hat uns sehr gute Anleitungen und Informationen bereitgestellt, wie man am besten zur Unterkunft kommt und was man in der Gegend so am besten unternehmen kann. Jeroen ist sehr bemüht darum, einem den Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich zu machen. Das Haus ist liebevoll eingerichtet und sauber!

Es gibt wirklich nichts was man bemängeln könnte, was in unmittelbaren Einflussbereich von Jeroen ist! Aufgrund der Geografischen Gegebenheiten vor Ort, kann die Parksituation je nach Anzahl (und Park-Skills) anderer Gäste herausfordernd sein. :-)

Sehr schön ausgestattetes Ferienhaus. Mit Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Von der Küchenausstattung, die nichts zu wünschen übrig ließ, bis zu kleinen Dekorationen die im Haus und aber auch auf dem Grundstück zu finden war. Das Swimmingpool ist nur wenige Schritte vom Haus entfernt. Der Gastgeber war extrem nett und zuvorkommend. Er hatte immer sehr gute Tipps, wo man Essen gehen oder etwas unternehmen konnte. Es war immer ein Vergnügen sich mit Ihm zu unterhalten. Das Haus selbst liegt in einer wunderbar ruhigen Gegend. Man hat nachts herrliche Ruhe.

Etwas herausfordernd, aber üblich für Madeira, die steile Abfahrtrampe. Hat man die aber überwunden, ist man sehr bequem in wenigen Schritten vom Parkplatz am Haus. Alternativ kann man auch an der Straße parken und ist sehr schnell zu Fuß am Haus.

Heerlijk huisje, erg mooi gelegen. Zouden hier zeker terug naartoe komen. Ideale uitvalbasis om het eiland te verkennen.

Het is een fantastisch verblijf.Het was zeer smaakvol ingericht. Heerlijke bedden . Badkamer , keuken , alles was zeer goed verzorgd. Leuk details waar je even bij stil kon staan. Echt met zorg en liefde ingericht. Centrale ligging . Goed weer andere kant van het eiland is een stuk frisser . Restaurant en leuke barretjes in de buurt . En de gastheer is enorm gastvrij.

Als je nog nooit op Madeira bent geweest is het wel even wennen aan de weg om er te komen. Weg is steil maar goed te doen. Dit heb je overal op Madeira.

We hebben het na een week Funchal echt heel fijn gehad in Calheta. Het was hier een stuk rustiger En dat was een hele fijne afwisseling. Het verblijf was echt bijzonder fijn, schoon, het ontbrak ons aan niets, heerlijke bedden en de kleine verrassende details. Jeroen onze host was super attent en heeft ons hele fijne en goede tips gegeven.

the place was very silent and cozy, had a big comfortable bed. We were allowed to check in earlier and check out later which was very useful when travelling with a baby. Got some really great tips from the owner, what to see, where to eat

Nice, clean modern house

Jeroen was super friendly and helpful. Spacious and clean interior with everything we needed in the kitchen. Lovely sunset and day-time views.

Jeroen was an excellent host and his houses are spectacular. Our group had a nightmare on the day of arrival in Madeira where we booked a villa on booking.com that decided on arrival that they couldn’t accommodate us without explanation. So, we booked Blooming Botanic Houses last minute and Jeroen made a special effort to ensure that we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Despite checking in to the property 10 minutes after booking, the place was perfectly clean, beautifully furnished and just what we were looking for. Jeroen provided excellent recommendations for restaurants and attractions, helping make our week wonderful.

Difficult to find issues with the houses but just some general points to be aware of, primarily the location. Situated in the lovely town of Calheta, the property has a wealth of attractions close by including great beaches, walks and restaurants but not many of these are easy to access by foot so a car is essential - particularly given the steep hills to get to and out of the property (not uncommon in Madeira!). Also, the houses are not huge but we found them a perfect size for 3 people - you get good value for money considering the quality of the furnishings, utensils, comfortable beds and beautiful terraces and gardens.

Personally we were missing a washing machine after many days of hiking. I can see that being an issue for longer stays.

Everything was well-maintained and very clean. The house itself is beautiful and well-equipped. Jeroen was an excellent host, providing helpful tips for hikes and more.

I really liked everything. I would only suggest adding a fan or AC to the room upstairs, as the window there is quite small but that’s it :)

Parking can be challenging when there are three cars already parked.

Great communication with the host(s). The location was quite accessible from important sites and necessities, incl. grocery stores. The pool was really nice and well maintained.

Be mindful of leaving windows open after dusk - we had mosquitos one night.

Amazing !!! The location with sea view was just perfect, a tropical garden, a very comfortable and cosy house, we wanted for nothing. Our host was also very special, providing us with good tips throughout our stay and being an incredibly good host. If you want to feel really at home on holiday and get to know the island at its best, this is the place for you.

Amazing stay, the place felt so special with so much attention to detail. Would highly highly recommend staying here. Top tips of places to see and eat from the host were extremely helpful. The bed was huge and so comfy. Even had some local goodies waiting on the table for our arrival which were lovely to arrive to after our day of travelling, especially the little Madeira cake! The property is absolutely beautiful, decorated and furnished to a really high standard and provided everything we needed as well as a lovely welcome pack which was a really nice surprise on arrival. It was peaceful and relaxing, with a great view and an exceptional host. We did not want to leave!

Absolutely nothing negative to say. It was a little trickier to get around as we chose not to hire a car but we befriended the local taxi driver, Mauricio, and he enhanced our holiday even further!

Our stay at Blooming for our holiday was absolutely fantastic. Not only the interior design, but also the garden and pool were beautiful. Moreover, the house had everything we needed, making it perfect for our stay. The property consists of four small rental houses and the owners own home.They are built so that each is private and not overlooked with views all the way down to the sea.The house is modern and very comfortably furnished.There are two sets of glass patio doors leading to a small garden and large patio with dining table and chairs as well as sun loungers and a sun umbrella.The kitchen is well equipped as is the bathroom which also has an excellent shower.The downstairs bedroom has great storage space and a very comfortable king sized bed. We didn’t use the loft bedroom. Although we didn’t need them each room has an air conditioning unit and the living room has a large flat screen TV.Another great feature is having access to a swimming pool especially after a long day walking.Additionally each house has its own dedicated parking spot . Our host ,Jeroen ,was very friendly and helpful.He welcomed us with a gift of wine and snacks and gave us information about places we should visit and local restaurants and bars.

Like everywhere in Madeira access to the property is from a steep hill but following Jeroen’s instructions made it easy and straightforward.

Jeroen is simply a great host. Attentive, discreet and extremely likeable. The house is of the perfect size. Large bathroom and master bedroom coupled with a practical living room and kitchen and a cozy attic.

Jeroen has really focused on the details so a part from tricky parking if you’ve got a big car there you are left wanting for nothing.

Jeroen is a fantastic guy. He is doing everything to keep his "customers" happy. We felt like visiting a friend. The houses are fairly new and well designed. Good for a couple like us but also for a family. All things in the house have a high quality standard! We felt very happy with selecting this location for our holidays.

We gave Jeroen a few ideas what else he could do. But we also understand that it is very difficult to always match 100% of the requirements of everybody.

Jeroen is a wonderful friendly host who took time to accommodate us and show us around at our arrivel. The communication prior to our stay was also top, and Jeroen aided us to book or excursions by giving valuable (insider) tips, for example about a Portuguesian Festival at the location that we wanted to visit anyway. The house is very high standard, all desirable equipment is in it including airco. The gardens are magnificently kept and the pool is beautiful and inviting. The location is exceptionally quiet, no traffic sounds or noises from other hotels or guests. There is a little minimarket in walking distance whit a great vibe of local live. I would absolutely go back to stay with Jeroen at a future visit. In the house we were welcomed by very tasty local products and could dig into books on local history, flora and fauna-great!

Blooming Botanic houses is a little oasis of calm, chilled relaxation. Jeroen is a fantastic host; he made us feel so welcome throughout our stay & his little touches of kindness and consideration toward ourselves and our two kids (5 & 2 YOA) were much appreciated. Very clean, well equipped, and charming, the house itself is a wonderful space and had everything we could possibly have needed for an enjoyable stay. The property is well situated to explore this part of Madeira with easy access to the nearby supermarket, beach, etc. in Calheta. It should be mentioned that the driveway for access is extremely steep and can be tricky to negotiate for an inexperienced driver, but you do get used to it quickly. Each house feels apart from its neighbours so if youre in search of a peaceful alternative to the bustle of Funchal or Câmara de Lobos - but still want to be within touching distance of both - BBH is a great choice. I cannot recommend this place more! It was absolutely beautiful. The small touches like welcome pack, children’s toys, yoga mat, books! The owner had thought of everything. It was immaculately clean, stylish, homely, peaceful. We will return.

What a beautiful stay! We spent 6 nights here during our time in Madeira. Jeroen, the owner, met us on check-in and showed us where to park. He had left us some lovely treats on check-in. There are 4 separate homes that all have their own private gardens, we absolutely loved having our own space to sunbathe and outdoor dining area. The apartment was super clean, plenty of towels, and the bed was SO comfortable. The kitchen was very well equipped, and the shower was perfect. There's a pool area that's accessible and handy on a hot day. There are very thoughtful touches such as yoga mats, which we made good use of too! The location is great, 5 minutes drive from Cahleta and 20 minutes from the 25 fontes hike. Jeroen also gave us a list of recommendations that were really helpful! The only very minor challenge was driving down to the apartment, it's quite steep and took a day or so to get used to it - but Madeira is very hilly and we soon did it with ease!
