Wij sliepen met ons gezin van 4 personen in één van de mooie huisjes van Suncity Privacy Cottages en waren het allemaal met elkaar eens Wat een prachtige plek! Van de bedden tot de het sanitair, alles ziet er mooi en schoon uit. Kasun was een geweldige gastheer en heeft een geweldig ontbijt verzorgd. Ben je in Udawalawe, twijfel dan niet en boek snel!

The facility is beautiful and very spacious. The meals they provide are one of the best food I had in Sri Lanka.

The accommodation was wonderful. The garden was large and peaceful — a perfect place to relax and unwind. The safari was also amazing; everything was explained and shown to us in detail. The breakfast and dinner deserve special mention — they were the best meals we had in Sri Lanka. Thank you so much!

They were so helpful, loving and caring. It was all amazing, especially the food! They offered the udawalawe national park tour straight from their property, which was perfect!

Only cash payments possible, which is a little annoying if you don’t know about it before hand.

Kasun and his wife are kind and super helpfull. We've spent a great moment there. Homemade food was delicious ! The safari was unforgettable.

Ce logement est incroyable 🤩🤩🤩 je recommande à 1000% !! Le couple de propriétaire est adorable, nous avons fait le safari avec le mari et c'était génial, le respect des animaux est impeccable et les explications sont top. La femme nous a concocté des petits plats délicieux, vraiment un logement au top du top. 😄 le jardin luxuriant amène une ambiance relax et la chambre était hyper propre. Bref un seul mot: PARFAIT !!

Très bon rapport qualité-prix. L'hôtel était très confortable, et les propriétaires adorables, toujours aux petits soins. Nous avons également fait un safari avec eux qui était inoubliable. Un grand merci à Kasun et sa femme pour avoir pris soin de nous comme ils l'ont fait

This is a great deal for the price! The surrounding nature offers plenty of birdwatching opportunities. The friendly and helpful staff made the experience even better.

房东两夫妻都很好，房间很大，有热水供应，早餐和晚餐都很好，吃得很饱，房间外面是一个大花园，很漂亮，还有吊床，旁边能看到一大群牛，关键是房东有自己的越野车，能带我们到国家公园探险，还很认真地为我们找各种动物，还途中为我们准备早餐，很棒的体验，还临时免费帮我们升级为六小时的体验，性价比很高，非常值得推荐

Jättemysig liten stuga på ”landet”. Familjen som ägde boendet var jättesnälla och givmilda, stämde av så att vi hade det bekvämt. Rekommenderar!

Sehr nette Häuschen inmitten eines wunderschönen und gepflegte Garten, wo man in Hängematten super entspannen kann. Das Zimmer und das Bad sind groß und sauber. Das Besitzer Ehepaar ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit! Absolut empfehlenswert ist die Safari mit dem Besitzer, die zu einem fairen Preis inklusive Abendessen angeboten wird. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist sehr gut und wir können die Unterkunft absolut empfehlen!

Tot és magnífic. El propietari és encantador, molt atent, ens va rebre i ens ho va explicar tot molt bé. A més el safari el vam fer amb ell i te molt coneixement de totes les espècies i ens va ensenyar un munt d’animals. La seva parella va ser la que va preparar un esmorzar increïble, el millor que hem menjat durant les vacances. A més, ens van donar la opció de fer-lo durant el safari i va ser inoblidable. Moltes gràcies per tot!

Eine wirklich sehr schöne Unterkunft. Mehrere Hütten mit einem kleinen Garten in der Mitte. Die Besitzer sind super nett und zuvorkommend. Wir haben unsere Safari über die Unterkunft gebucht, wobei der Besitzer gefahren ist. Dadurch waren wir sehr flexibel. Bei dem Preis hatten wir trotzdem das Gefühl, nicht zur Buchung der Safari gezwungen zu werden. Ein Restaurant ist auch fußläufig erreichbar. Das Frühstück war viel und lecker. Die Safari enthielt den Eintritt, Fahrzeug mit Guide und Mittagessen für zwei Personen. Wir waren vier Stunden unterwegs für 120 Dollar, gibt aber auch halb oder ganz Tages Touren für bis zu 160 Dollar. Ist das Geld auf jeden Fall wert.

Eines der Betten war etwas durchgelegen.

Private and surrounded by lovely gardens, this property is run by a wonderful young couple who went out of their way to make us feel at home. The bungalow was spotless and the verandah a tranquil place to relax. And the breakfasts - amazing!

Všechno! Nejlepší ubytování za náš pobyt na Sri Lance. Krásný pokoj s velkou koupelnou, moc dobré snídaně, naprosto úžasný majitel, který nám se vším pomohl, domluvil nám odvoz a safari, které bylo naprosto skvělé, náš průvodce byl moc ochotný, šikovný a oči měl všude, viděly jsme všechna zvířata.

This place is INCREDIBLE!! Kasun the owner is one of the nicest guys ever - so kind, helpful and goes above and beyond to assist in every need. Watermelon on arrival, fresh coconut on departure, organised safari, prepared yummy breakfast included in the price, relaxed check out timing....the list goes on! The villa was stunning, way better than the pictures. The garden is stunning and my son loved running around discovering all the plants, wildlife and fruits. Do not hesitate to book - would book again without a doubt. Thank you so much Kasun ❤️

Great location and set in beautiful gardens

This was the best accommodation we’ve had so far in Sri Lanka. The room is spacious, nicely furnished, and very clean. From the terrace, you have a view of the beautifully landscaped garden. The owner is one of the nicest people we’ve met in Sri Lanka! He organized a half-day safari to the national park for us. Breakfast and dinner were excellent every day, and he even gave us a ride to the bus stop so we could continue our journey to Ella. If you’re looking for a place to stay in Udawalawe, I can wholeheartedly recommend this one!

Everything was perfect! The room was really clean and spacious, and the host was incredibly kind. He even allowed us a late checkout since our safari ended at 12 PM and prepared a delicious breakfast for us to take along early in the morning. I highly recommend staying here when visiting Udawalawe.

Excellent accomodation for the price with super friendly and helpful hosts. They organised a private 4 hr safari including breakfast and lunch for $60 each. We saw so much wildlife and it seemed to go on for much longer than the agreed 4 hours! The driver / guide managed to find lots of interesting animals. Lunch in the park overlooking the lake was a highlight too. The accomodation is a 5 minute drive to the park, and the gardens surrounding the bungalow are beautifully landscaped. The property was spotlessly clean too.

The host was this super friendly young guy. The place is very charming. He plugged in router next to our cottage for wifi. Easy communication all around. Cottages were very spacious. Breakfast served anytime we needed = after safari at 11am.

I booked this place at the last minute, after a complicated situation, and not only it was my savior, but it was also a true surprise. I've stayed in many residences, cottages, and hotels around the world, but here I left a piece of my heart. The well-maintained garden, the variety of birds chirping (you can literally go birdwatching in the garden), the clean rooms, the delicious food, and the hospitality of the staff. You couldn't ask for a better place to stay before a safari in Udawalawe. It’s underrated, go and experience it for yourself, and thank you again for everything!

We had an incredible two-night stay at Suncity Privacy Cottages. The rooms are spacious, spotless, and there are only three cottages, so it feels really private and exclusive. The grounds are beautifully maintained, making it a perfect escape. But the real highlight? The host. He went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Whether it was organizing a safari, arranging dinner, or planning other activities, he had it all covered. He and his friend even drove us around in the Jeep, which is normally used for safaris, without charging us a cent—talk about hospitality! The safari organized by the host was fantastic and surprisingly affordable compared to other options. If you're looking for a place with great service and a personal touch, this is it. Highly recommend!
