Reviewed Sep 17, 2026Alles befindet sich in einem neuwertigen und sehr sauberen Zustand. Unser "Zimmer" 05 war im Grunde ein separates Minihaus mit Schlafzimmer, Bad und eigener Terrasse auf dem hinteren Teil des Grundstückes und damit super ruhig. Der Self-Check in sowie Kommunikation per WhatsApp war sehr unkompliziert und freundlich. Der Parkplatz auf dem Grundstück ist großzügig. Auch der Gemeinschaftsraum und die Küche im Haupthaus befinden sich einem ausgezeichneten Zustand. Lebensmittel können hier gern geteilt werden.

Limpeza do quarto bem como troca de toalhas. Extras que melhoraram a experiência: máquina de café disponivel no quarto, agua e frigorífico.

Reviewed Jul 23, 2026I had a wonderful time at Aires Hostel. I travelled solo and found a great but calm environment, very safe and modern. Aires Hostel features a huge parking, a modern and clean shared kitchen and living room. Each room has its own lockers and are very big and useful. Overall, the atmosphere was also very valuable.

Reviewed Jun 12, 2026Es war sehr sauber, in den drei Tagen die wir da waren wurde auch einmal durchgewischt und Handtücher gewechselt. Die Gemeinschaftsküche ist sehr schick, gemütlich und hat alles was man zum Kochen braucht. Es gab frisches Obst, was man sich nehmen konnte. Die Inhaber sind sehr gut erreichbar, freundlich und reagieren schnell. Es gibt einen kleinen Außenbereich wo man sich gut aufhalten kann. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.
Nichts - einzig Kaffeekapseln in der Gemeinschaftsküche wären top (es gab Teebeutel zur freien Benutzung) aber es ist Meckern auf hohem Niveau :)

Reviewed May 3, 2026The hosts were kind enough to let us check-in early. The kitchen is well-equipped, the accommodation and its surroundings are nice, and the room was spacious.
There was a lot of humidity in the bedroom, which was creeping into everything (all our clothes, bed linens, ...) and making it a bit uncomfortable.

Reviewed Jan 19, 2026Das Zimmer war modern, sauber und hatte auch eine schöne kleine Terrasse. Zudem gab es gratis Wasser und Kaffee. Es bestand zudem die Möglichkeit über einen externen Dienstleister ein Frühstück sich liefern zu lassen. Den Gemeinschaftsbereich haben wir nicht genutzt. Aber auch dieser war modern, sauber und sah gemütlich aus.
Die Betten waren für unseren Geschmack zu hart. Zudem war es nicht sonderlich ruhig, da angrenzend Baustellen bzw. das Industriegebiet lag. Ab 7 Uhr morgens wurde es laut. Für 1-2 Nächte gut. Für einen längeren Aufenthalt wäre es nichts für uns. Da fehlt uns einfach der Entspannungsfaktor.

Reviewed Oct 18, 2025Wir hatten selten so ein gutes Hostel. Ankunft und Checkout waren super unkompliziert. Die Betten waren sehr bequem und alles war sehr sauber. Wir haben mehrfach ungefragt neue Handtücher bekommen. Die Küche ist super ausgestattet. Alles in allem sehr zu empfehlen!

Reviewed Sep 18, 2025Le gîte est fabuleux, équipement, chambre, propreté... exceptionnel!!! Une note particulière à João qui a été au petits soins du début à la fin quelque soit les attentes, un grand merci à lui! Bravo continuez comme ça.
L'emplacement... un peu de bruit le matin dû à la proximité avec le port, et la route tres passante mais bonne isolation des fenêtres avec double vitrage.

Reviewed Sep 17, 2025Une auberge originale, avec une cuisine commune équipée moderne qui est très propre; Nous l'avons appréciée pour le pete it déjeuner mais c'est assez petit et heureusementrir l'auberge était très peu occupée donc pas de problème de cohabitation ! Alexandra et Joao sont facilement joignables et de bons conseils . Sao roque permet de sillonner toute l'île très facilement ! Nous avions une chambre indépendante avec une sdb, dans le jardin ! Une toute petite table pliante serait bienvenue pour écrire....

Reviewed Aug 10, 2025La struttura è pulita, la cucina ben attrezzata con pentole e quello che occorre. Per la spesa c’è a disposizione un supermercato a due minuti a piedi. Parcheggio gratuito. A cinque minuti a piedi dalla stazione marittima di São Roque, da dove partono i traghetti per São Jorge.
Ci sarebbe piaciuto conoscere di persona i proprietari, che comunque sono stati sempre presenti e disponibili tramite Whatsapp.

Die Küche ist hervorragend ausgestattet und auch der Aufenthaltsraum ist sehr gemütlich und ansprechend gestaltet. Man kann auch draußen sitzen. Wir hatten das Dreibettzimmer mit eigenem Bad. Wirklich perfekt.

Reviewed Jul 21, 2025Really high spec hostel. Immaculate. Excellent facilities. With lots of nice touches, a herb garden, nice books, flowers in reception, there were two toilets in the dorm room. It’s been really well thought out and designed. João and the family really care and want guests to have the best stay. Being welcomed and cared for is such a lovely feeling.
Lower bunk bed the head height was low, I preferred the top bunk.

Grosser Supermarkt in 5min zu Fuss erreichbar. Sonst mit Auto auch gut gelegen. Check-in und Kommunikation mit Gastgeber war unkompliziert und hat alles super geklappt. Würden es wieder buchen.

The beds very comfortable and private with the curtains, super clean and all the amenities you would need. Fully equipped kitchen with appliances, everything in a very good condition. I loved everything about this place! João was also very helpful with everything I asked. Located very close to the marina. Strongly recommended!
Not the hostel itself, but I found there is not much public transport besides a bus that passes by a couple of times per day.

Alexandra, eine der Eigentümerinen war sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und immer zu erreichen wenn man Fragen hate. Nahe Lage mit rund 7' zum Hafen von São Roque. Wäscheservice auf Nachfrage verfügbar. Ich würde das Hostel jederzeit für einen erneut Aufenthalt auf Pico buchen!

Reviewed Apr 23, 2025Es gibt Quartiere, da hast du eh schon sehr hohe Erwartungen. Und dann gibt es Quartiere, die diese Erwartungen noch übertreffen. Das hier ist so eines. Bei weitem. Wunderschön. Höchster Komfort und eine über alle Maßen liebenswürdige Gastgeberin, die wirklich jede Frage beantwortete und jedes "Problem" löste. Wir hatten das Dreibettzimmer. Aber das ganze Haus hat Stil und Klasse und Komfort auf höchster Ebene. Eines der schönsten Quartiere von den über 500 Quartieren, die wir auf unseren Reisen hatten. Ganz klare Empfehlung. Wir sagen danke.

Personel bardzo uprzejmy i pomocny, z możliwością zamówienia taksówki na lotnisko. Jesteśmy bardzo zadowoleni z pobytu i z całego serca polecamy ten piękny hostel.

The kitchen is well-equipped, and the location is peaceful, with easy access to a supermarket and hiking trails. From here u can enjoy the view from Pico. Highly recommended!
