The Bachelor

That it was tucked away in nature with lots of trees and flowers, it had an incredibly beautiful view of the bay. The layout was very cosy and convenient, the bed was very comfortable, it was nice that there was an air conditioning unit and that all the utilities provided were in good working order, and a big bonus as a South African is that we were able to watch the rugby from the accommodation.

We did have the unfortunate experience with there being some maintenance work happening late on a Sunday evening on the premises. But otherwise it was wonderful

Everything! The view from the apartment, the shower, the facilities, the location, the staff were lovely and sunset and sunrise was stunning. We felt totally safe at the property and i highly recommend 'The Bachelor'.

Centrally located with easy access to everything. Very private in the trees. Excellent use of interior space - clean, comfortable and functional.

Absolutely great, well planned space

The property is very clean and well maintained, with a great location and good privacy. The view is perfect and really adds to the overall experience.

The mattress is very soft, and when two people sleep on it, it tends to sink toward the middle, making it uncomfortable. I kindly suggest that the mattress be reviewed or replaced to improve guest comfort.

Nelie was very helpfull and friendly. Flat was far above avarage well equipped with a beautiful seaview.

What a beautiful place and the host made us feel so at home.

Amazing place, exceeded my expectations

The Bachelor was well equipped with an amazing view. The hosts have put a lot of effort into making The Bachelor elegant yet cozy.

The location is great—centrally situated and within a short drive to the beach and local restaurants. The property is clean and well-maintained, with a cozy, laid-back vibe that suits solo travelers or couples looking for a quick getaway.

The place is very clean. Spotless The bedding is awesome. That Egyptian cotton linen will make sure you have a peaceful sleep. Thank you for the complimentary coffee and other things.

The bathroom configuration is not desirable. An open toilet next to the small kitchen is not on. The place I ohk if you are traveling alone. Too small for couples

Loved the look and the wood and the view

Steers were steeper than expected and room smaller than expected but for one night it was perfect. Just need a little table on the other side of the bed.

It was so cozy and felt as if we were in the bush or a mountain.. The bed was super comfortable and gave us a wonderful night's sleep.. We enjoyed the little cabin a lot .

The location of the pad is exceptional with beautiful views and luxurious fittings and bedding. Christine is an excellent and caring host. I will definitely book this accommodation again when returning to Mossel Bay.

Could not use the TV except for YouTube. Espresso machine did not work. Bed was uncomfortable.

The views are beautiful

Wasn't offered breakfast, didn't know it was an option. The place was deserted with no outdoor lighting, very steep (approx 8m)sheer drops all along one side of the property with no barriers, warning signs or fences making it potentially dangerous for people and definitely not safe for dogs. There is also no gate at the entrance. My dogs slipped out at 05h30 and set off into the streets of the city. Kudos to Christine who took my call at that hour and got out of bed to help me look for them. However she has to know their establishment is highly unsafe for dogs and I asked her to remove that description from their listing. The Bachelor is set high up to maximize beautiful ocean views but there is no landing at the top of the steep steps. This leaves you teetering on a small step with your luggage as you enter and exit. A loose jute mat got crumpled in the doorway and could have been tripped or slid on while navigating this entrance

The room is really small, it’s good for one person. There is no much light outside and it’s hard to climb the stairs at night.

The sheets and bed were amazing. It was clean, and there is detail in the place that we appreciate. It's great as a hideaway and a good view.

The fitted sheet was the wrong size and didn't fit the bed, and the bed needs to be replaced as a big void in the middle of the matress.Only supplied one toilet roll for 4 nights stay. The shower water was mostly cold due to the gas geyser not working properly.

It was very difficult to message the owner and get a response. The keys are kept in a key box. I booked a month in advance and got an automated message saying what the code was for the key box was. I assumed that they changed the code regularly for safety reasons, so on the day that we left, I sent a message at 8 am asking if the code had changed. I'm guessing they didn't actually read my message, because they just replied by sending the address of the property. After telling them I knew where it was and I just wanted the code, they didn't respond. I eventually had to call, and the woman who answered sounded very irritated. (The passcode had changed, so it was good that I called.) Even after all that, they then responded to the message I sent at 11 pm. Why?? The last time I stayed here, communication was a big problem too.

Everything, the location is great, the view fabulous and the actual "room" was awesome. This is a bachelor flat well thought after. Everything you need is there.

The step from the sliding door to the patio-landing is slightly difficult, you need to be carefull.

Amazing views, easy to self check-in. Very comfortable bed and AC. Really all we needed for a quick one night stay. It actually felt larger that it seems from photos!

Perfect location, comfort and cleanness

Everything was perfect

I am amazed at how the host managed to make such a small place feel so welcoming and cozy. In fact, the scenery was so beautiful that my boyfriend proposed to me on the deck. (I am not joking.) It is also very clean, and has the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in.

I wish that the check in time was a bit earlier. Most places have their check in time at 12.

Clever use of a small space, beautiful and well furnished. Ideal spot for a night or two. Nice and close to the point for those with cars. Good hot water and water pressure. Lovely view. Thoughtfully stocked.

We called twice and messaged twice when we arrived and weren’t able to reach staff. The property was difficult to find - despite using Google maps as suggested. Once we did find the right property, the instructions for where to find the keys weren’t particularly helpful and it took us a while to work out that “Main House” meant “The Queen/Office”. We stayed in “the Bachelor” and another couple staying in “the Library” had the same issues trying to figure out where the keys were.
