Great location and wonderful owners! They were very friendly and helpful. Even helped me with taxis. The breakfast was great and the room was nice..they do have a stupa nearby so you may hear a bell, but that is the only thing that I can not rave about.
lovely staff, kind people, great location, courtyard has amazing ambience
hard to sleep with the noise of the temple next door but you could request a room away from the temple
I think the best part of the stay are Rajshree, Sanju and their lovely daughter Anora. It’s awesome to stay in a nice and comfortable hotel with an outstanding breakfast and have the feeling of staying with a family at the same time. They helped us any time we needed something, they were always down for a chat and they even took us to the monkey temple during the full moon day. The location is also amazing for people looking to unwind after busy thamel times. You are two steps away from patan square and there are great restaurants around as well as cafes. Also, apparently the name of the place would be translated to something like auspicious or lucky home, and it truly is! My boyfriend scored a great job during our stay. The name sums it all up :) I would 100% recommend this place!
The only “bad” thing about the place is that there is a temple right next to it, and people will come by ring the bell starting at like 3-4 am. I am a very light sleeper so the first night this was rough for me, but they were very accomodating and gave us a room on the other side of the building where we couldn’t hear the bell anymore. It is so worth it to stay here anyways!
The room was really comfortable and the people were nice!
Tout!
Rien :)
Good and comfortable stay , right in the middle of patan
Easy walking distance . Home stay type very quiet
王宮に近くてとても便利な場所にありながらも、静かに過ごすことができました。ベッドも寝心地が良く、電気ポットとカップのセットもあり、快適に過ごせました。
clean, friendly, good location, everything working in the room
nothing
Tout. L'accueil de notre hôtesse, le lit confortable, la douche chaude avec pression et la propreté.
Rien.
Great location for exploring beautiful Patan. Lovely hospitality and welcome from Sanju and his wife. Comfortable beds and nice breakfast. Highly recommend this hotel.
Safe neighborhood very close to patan durbar square. Location is great. The bed and bathroom is clean and shower was hot. The hosts are owners of property thus take pride in the bnb. They were very kind and easy to talk with. Breakfast was also delicious . Will stay again when passing through ktm
The location is fantastic right near all the tourist attractions with nearby great restaurants and cafes and huge street market all within five minute walk, between 4 or 5 Australian dollars will get taxi 24 hour to Kathmandu city Centre and international airport is the same price approximately 15 minute ride
Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay in Kathmandu. The room was spotless, location is great and the hosts are fantastic. Definitely staying there again if I'm back to Kathmandu and I highly recommend it
Super nice place! Definitely one of the most clean, cultural and beautiful places we’ve been on the whole trip!
Everything was at the highest level
Loved staying here. Felt very welcomed, breakfast tasted great, could change the room to a more quiet one which was really nice. Very helpful, open and warm hosts.
Nothing to complain about
Clean, looked as in the photos and location was central
There was no support staff at the time of my stay, they were on holiday. But the owners were sweet and tried to do everything themselves. Breakfast could’ve been better.
Die Gastgeber sind super freundlich und hilfsbereit.
Nice hotel in a perfect location. The hosts were wonderful and were always friendly and helpful. The neighborhood is very central to the Durbar Square but also to the local life of Patan and plenty of nice restaurants. The breakfast was great!
L’accueille chaleureux, la chambre bien aménagé, propre avec une petite attention, le calme, tout y était. Je recommande :)
Good Ambience
Amenities, comfort
This hotel was very cosy and the owner family was sooooo kind with lovely smiles😌 The location is just 5 mins walk to Patan Darbar Square where you can see an ancient architecture. Especially it’s very peaceful and beautiful in the morning. I got a chance to attend a special ritual by the owner’s family by their invitation, also the owner helped me out printing my documents as all shops are closed in this term🥹 The room is very clean and it has big mirrors and pretty windows which you will like. I definitely recommend this place to everyone ✨
If you’re sensitive to sound, you might find the sounds from people visiting the temple next door in the morning a bit bothersome. However, it’s perfect for early risers.
Location was excellent, hotel was beautiful and room very comfortable, but most of all the staff were very kind and attentive.
Nothing
A very nice hotel! The owners are a lovely couple, very caring and attentive. I highly recommend this place warmly. You’ll be very well welcomed and treated with great kindness.
Pros: 1. Very very helpful staff. Nikesh bhai and other staffs were all helpful and welcoming! They were always kind to let me in the hotel around late ( 10-11pm), once I make a call via phone. 2. Room was spacious and I liked the hot water facility (which does take a few mins to come and that is normal). The water from the shower had decent force unlike some hotels. 3. I didn't have breakfast here as I had early meetings with friends. But I have heard good reviews about the food here! Cons: 1. I would say that if you are a late night sleeper/jet lagged then I wouldn't suggest this particular room of the hotel. As this room is right next to a temple(which looks really good at night) where local people tend to ring the bells (bigger and small) as they do their daily worship. 2. There are some stray dogs around so be careful at late night. I was barked at and sort of attacked by one while I waited outside to let me in the hotel. No need to feel afraid though, these dogs are just noisy, curious, and not that aggressive. During the moment I just stood there and didn't move when a dog came barking at me. The dog just sniffed me and went away. 3. The bikes on the street can be noisy sometimes. Overall, I must say it was a good stay in a cheap bargain. I would suggest this place If you would like to have taste of how local people stay here in Patan day-to-day and also to have go with their Newari dishes on their menu. Also, the place location is great as you are in the heart of Mangalbazaar near Patan Durbar Square. That means you are a right place for roaming around Patan.
Staff and owners are kind, caring, personable and very helpful. I was treated like a family member, and they always made themselves available when I needed help. They are some of the kindest people i have met. Comfy warm bed and spacious bathroom.
The layout of utilities in the room can be better and more functional.
The staff was really nice and responsive! Always available when we needed, will definitely recommend. Breakfast was great! And the location is ideal if you want to enjoy Patan and its surrounding.
The room was a bit cold due to the winter time and the room could have been checked a little bit more often (toilet paper/water refill) but it's small details.
Really cosy and nice staff
The doors are closed after a certain time 11-12am and you the bell doesn’t work so you have to knock quite loud or call one of the hotel staff to come and open the door
The property is well located, it’s very clean and the room are well furnished, well decorated and has a very confortable bed. The staff is very kind and helpful. Thanks a lot !
Clean hotel. Good hotel staff. Good location. Price not too bad.
One window has no glass or net, so mosquitos and outside noise come in freely. See the photo. There is no ventilation in the bathroom. All humidity come into the beadroom. No AC in the room, so the room can get very humid when it rains or after using shower. No power outlet near the bed and not enough outlet in the room. If you use the fan and mosquito vaper, there is no more available. The hotel provides ear plugs knowing that people ring the big bell on the street 2meters away. But those ear plugs were not good enough. I woke up multiple tomes in early morning. I recommend you stay one day to see if you like this hotel or not. I woUld choose others next time.
Pros: Clean, great staff, yummy breakfast cons: street noise early in the morning
The hotel is located nearby airport. The historical and cultural aspect of the area makes the stay interesting. The staff members go beyond their duties to help you. They were amazing!
The area is quite lively.
This place is located right in the heart of Patan with traditional newari setting. The staffs were very cordial and sweet. Rooms were extremely cozy, comfortable and cute. Would 100% recommend this place for anyone's stay.
The staff is very kind, helpful and smiley, specially the boy who served breakfast. Breakfast had some nepali style food and was very good and abundant. We had bottled water to drink everyday in our room. There was hot water in the shower all day. We had opportunity to see authentic traditional celebrations with music, dances and women cooking in the street all around the neighborhood (we visited on christmas and new year). We could visit many interesting places by walking, but also the staff helped us to get a taxi at a good cost (getting it ourselves in the street was more expensive). The hosts are really warm people and they offer a good service at a good cost.
The street is noisy but remains quiet enough time to get a good rest at night. We were awakaned very early in the morning by the ring of a bell from a little temple right outside the hotel, but it was interesting though to observe people stop by and ring the bell on their way to daily activity. The toilet could be more clean and it would be more comfortable if the shower had a courtain or something to avoid getting the whole bathroom wet when taking a shower.
nice breakfast. nice staffs. room is clean and comfortable. and it’s near to patan dubar square.
a bit noisy in the morning
Very spacious and clean room, comfortable bed, very good breakfast, kind hosts and overall very good vibes. We felt very welcome and were able to chill and relax. Location was perfect, short walking distance to Patan's Durbar Square and even to Pashupatinath temple. Lots of very good food options around, shops, cafés etc
Gets a little bit noisy early in the early morning because of the traffic from the main street
I only stayed for one night but this place was amazing. In the middle of patan, the major sights just a couple of minutes by walking, staff super friendly, good food and very cosy and clean rooms. Definitely coming back!!
Actually there have been non.
A hidden gem and the place to be if you are staying in the Kathmandu area. When we found this place on booking we were surprised. Such a nice room just next to the main sight of Patan for a reasonable price. Can that be possible? It is and we were so lucky that we extended our stay. The owners are very welcoming and the room is super cosy and very clean. We would definitely come again.
We could not think of anything we did not like.
Everything about this place I love. The location was perfect it's close by the temples and also has a temple besides it. The breakfast that was served every morning was also good. The staff were very nice and polite and would try to find solution to your problem. The rooms were for me very cozy.
Honestly, there is nothing about this place I didnt like. But the only issue is if you are a light sleeper the vehicles that pass by can be a problem. I never addressed the issue to them because I'm not bothered by it. Infact the owner of the place even offered me ear plugs if I needed it. Which to me says so much about there hospitality than the noise from outside. I didnt regret staying in this place at all. Lovely staff. 😊
