I really enjoyed my stay here (4 days, 1room) and kept extending my stay. The host js very helpful & replies immediately. Totally recommend if you are looking for simple apartment with great location in a peacefull area with wonderfull view (about 2 km from city center)! I hope i can come here back one day amd test out the bungalows as well :)

Huy Homestay is such a peaceful and calming place to say. Just out of the main town, but also close enough to make it manageable. Huy was so helpful and accommodating. We hired a scooter for 2 days which was such a highlight for us! We had one breakfast here too which was really tasty.

Beautiful homestay in a rural village nearby the main town. Great value for money, and Huy is very helpful and kind. We hired bicycles to cycle around, and the homestay is in walking distance to a couple of restaurants. We booked a bus and cave tour here which was the highlight of our trip!

The homestay is tucked away in the middle of the mountains and rice fields, the location is gorgeous. Huy and his sister are absolute angels - I unfortunately had an accident during my stay and they took such great care of me. Huy even drove me to the hospital and stayed there with me helping with translation. Huy and his sister were checking on me every day and really went out of their way to make sure I was okay. I felt very much taken care of and in best hands. Thank you for your kindness!

I had a wonderful stay at Huy Homestay. The place was clean, comfortable, and peaceful, and the hosts were incredibly kind, friendly, and helpful. I felt very welcome from the moment I arrived. The location is great for exploring Phong Nha, and the atmosphere feels warm and relaxed. I would definitely recommend this homestay and would be happy to stay here again. I was late for my bus .. Huy and Thin decided to help and take me to the station for free Thin offered me a sugar cane juice for free Man I loved vietnam But this one was the best experience I felt respected I felt a true human connection

The host charged us more than written online on booking ( it was 166,000 and she told me on arrival 250,000). I gave her 300,000, then realised the problem. She didn’t give back the money, and asked if it’s okay to give me back later the change. Only after insisting the day after to get my change back she gave me. Be aware. Also the toilet flush didn’t work, so we changed rooms. On top of that the worst bed I’ve slept on in my life. I won’t go into personal details but also the personal behaviour of the host made my partner and I feel uncomfortable and disrespected. But nice view I guess

Le cadre est superbe paisible, le confort du bungalow. Un haut lieu de ressource! Huy est quelqu'un de très humain. Mettant à disposition des scooters, ce qui nous a permis de nous aventurer librement dans une région magnifique...il est de bons conseils et recommandations. Il a même géré notre départ en navette.

L hôtel à proximité était très festif, le son etait tres fort jusque 22h (les vietnamiens sont en vacances en juillet)

Gia đình mình may mắn book được một quả home siêu chất lượng. Ban đầu mình cũng khá băn khoăn khi lựa chọn vì có nhiều chỗ đẹp, nhưng cuối cùng quyết định này hoàn toàn xứng đáng. Không gian sạch sẽ, ấm cúng, đầy đủ tiện nghi, cả nhà mình đặt ăn tối, ăn sáng tại home vì hợp khẩu vị với cả nhà mà đồ ăn ngon, tươi đúng như mong đợi, khiến cả gia đình đều có một kỳ nghỉ rất thoải mái. Hẹn home dịp nghĩ tiếp theo nhé!

Sehr schöne Unterkunft mitten in der Natur mit wunderschönem Garten/Innenhof. Das Zimmer war simpel, aber es hat alles was man braucht. Der Gastgeber ist unheimlich freundlich und war sehr bemüht uns bei einer Tour-/Bus-Buchung zu helfen. Es herrschte einfach eine sehr angenehme, familiäre Atmosphäre in der Unterkunft. Am Abreisetag durften wir selbst nach dem Check-Out noch den Garten/Duschen nutzen bis unser Bus kam.

Không gian chữa lành. Nhóm mình có 4 người. Mọi người đều rất hài lòng khi nghỉ ngơi tại đây. Khung cảnh đẹp. Con người dễ mến, nhiệt tình. Đồ ăn ngon. Kì nghỉ trọn vẹn khó quên. Rất yêu nơi này. Mn đến Phong Nha hãy đến đay nha, tuyệt vời lắm.

Absolutely couldn’t recommend this homestay enough, the owners were so lovely and helpful, the rooms are basic but such good value for money (the cheapest we’ve found so far) the family were so helpful the bike we rented got a flat tyre and the family just came and took it back and brought us a new bike and didn’t try charge us or anything. The location is slightly out of town but taxis are cheap and the area itself was lovely.

Nice location looking over Phong nha. Staff were very accommodating, making it easy for us to check in late at night. The included breakfast was great, and we were able to rent bikes, wash our clothes and book our bus all in one place - and it was made easy for us.

The mattress for the room was very firm. Also had a few bugs from time to time.

L’accueil de l’homestay est parfait. Les gens sont très gentils. Par contre, le personnel ne parle pas anglais… L’emplacement est très bien. Location de scooter très facile.

La chambre que nous avons eu ne ressemble pas aux photos. C’était une chambre en brique brute ainsi que dans la salle de bain. La canalisation terminait dans la douche, donc très mauvaise odeur …

L’ambiance chaleureuse et la sympathie, le service de l’hôte et de sa sœur merci beaucoup je recommande à 1000%

Huy's Homestay is amazing! Such a peaceful place surrounded by nature. Huy is and his sister were very welcoming and made sure we had a great stay. We also rented a scooter from them and they booked our bus ticket. The room is basic but has everything you need for a couple of nights. Great value for money! Overall 10/10. Thank you, Huy!

Huy gave us such a warm welcome and made us feel so comfortable. There was a mix up on our side which he was so understanding about. Helped us with scooter rental and to get a bus to next stop and his sister cooked delicious breakfast. The views were incredible! Thank you Huy & family ☺️

Richtig schöne Lage, nicht komplett in der Stadt sondern an Feldern. Super süße Familie und das Preisleistungsverhältnis ist top :) Sind noch eine Nacht länger geblieben, weil es uns so gut gefallen hat!

The homestay is a beautiful place! If you want to relax, get away from the chaos and wake up surrounded by nature, this is the place for you. The owner and his sister are incredibly kind and always smiling. They’re happy to accommodate any requests. You can reach the area with restaurants and markets by calling a taxi or by bike or scooter (which you can rent at the homestay). The room is clean and the food is delicious!

Beautiful homestay right on the rice fields. It’s about a 5-10 minute drive from the river/ main town and you can easily rent bicycles or motorbikes through the homestay. There is food here breakfast and dinner if you want as well as a gorgeous garden to sit in. Really lovely and very accommodating family who run it and very reasonably priced. They can also organise tours for you if you want to see the caves on a guided tour. Highly recommend!

Not a major issue at all a slightly firm mattress but not bad I’m just used to a very soft mattress so it depends on your taste.

It was a lovely area to wind down after a day of exploring Phong Nha. Huy made us feel very welcome and comfortable and his sister cooked up lovely meals for breakfast and dinner. The room was very clean and comfortable.

It’s a little far out but we were able to hire a bike from the property so this made little difference.

Le « bungalow » un préfabriqué. Lit dur comme la pierre , air conditionné ne fonctionnait pas, après la douche , 1 cm d’eau dans toute la salle de bain , problème d’évacuation malgré passage de raclette au sol . Vue sur l’arrière de la maison avec les air conditionnés juste en face . Très déçus , sommes partis après une nuit avec mal de dos suite à la nuit et malgré que nous ayons payé pour 3 nuits dont la première pas disponible car le gérant a préféré louer via Facebook a d’autres car paiement immédiat alors que nous bien que réservé via booking donc pas disponible malgré la confirmation de réservation …

The host was friendly

• The quality of the rooms is very bad, nothing even remotely close to the pictures. Our room had no window just a hole in the wall with a blind to cover it. Mosquito nets should have been provided since the room was filled with bugs of all sorts at all times. • The price on checkout was not as advertised on booking.com the price of meals was ambiguous and we were not informed that coffee served with breakfast was not included with the free breakfast?! This resulted in our final bill being about double what we expected. • We saw the host on multiple occasions enter people's rooms who were staying while they were out for the day. Perhaps there should be a menu to show guests so that all prices are communicated clearly. As well as this accurate photos of the room must be uploaded to their account as I cannot express enough how far it was from as advertised.

Such a nice guy and his family. The place next to fields and in the local village. We loved too much and extended our stay. According the price it’s amazing. Especially the room which has a field view is amazing. Also they have coffee and dinner option. For breakfast soup or egg-bread options they have. He gave us some informations about where to go. Nothing to say bad or close to bad. Amazing people and place. Recommended.

Der Gastgeber Huy war super nett und zuvorkommende und eine tolle Kommunikation über WhatsApp. Bungalow und Bergsicht Top! Am meisten hat mir das Essen und die Freundliche Ausstrahlung der älteren Dame gefallen . Frühstück und Dinner waren klasse von ihr👌🏻

Hatten ersten ein Doppelzimmer wo das Bett Waschbecken und Toilette kaputt waren und ein Wespen/Bienen Nest im Bad.

Bon emplacement au bord des rizières, toutefois notre chambre n’avait qu’une toute petite fenêtre sans vraiment la vue sur la montagne. Petit déjeuner classique (oeuf et pain). Nous avons loué des scooters mais le notre avait quelques défaillances. Cadre très paisible.

Le gérant est très serviable et très aimable ! Nous avons dormi dans un bungalow et le rapport qualité prix est imbattable !

Il faisait très chaud le matin dans le bungalow car la clime n’est pas très puisante.

I can't express enough how amazing the host was. The booked room (although with an amazing view) did not have a window covered and I'm truly scared of spiders so he offered to move us to the bungalow, which was sooo great. I also got sick last night and he allowed me to rest in the room until later, which was extremely helpful. In general - great guy and thank you so much! The place has a chill vibe, hammocks and chairs looking at the fields and forest. Stunning. Would definitely come back.

Definitiv unsere beste Unterkunft auf unserer Reise durch Vietnam! Als wir ankamen hat mich der Gastgeber Huy direkt kontaktiert und wir durften uns ein Zimmer aussuchen. Wir haben uns dann für eins der süßen Bungalows entschieden die echt top ausgestattet waren. Neben der wunderschönen Lage ist die Gastfamilie, Huy und seine Schwester, ein absolutes Highlight. Wir wurden so herzlich empfangen und Huy hat uns mit allem geholfen und uns mit ausreichend Tipps für die Umgebung versorgt. Das Essen was uns seine Schwester zubereitet hat war super lecker und das Frühstück ausreichend! Wir würden hier zu 100% wieder herkommen und es jedem ans Herz legen bei Huy zu übernachten!

Would so very highly recommend Huy’s Homestay! It’s in a beautiful area although further out from town (which was perfect for me) so best reached via bicycle or scooter. Huy and his sister are absolutely amazing and so helpful with everything. Was heartbroken to leave and will definitely be back!! Huy, you are amazing!!

La vue et l’endroit sont sympa

Le personnel ne parle pas anglais nous avons été changé de chambre après la première nuit, les lits sont horribles, très dur, la chambre minuscule le bungalow est pas mal par contre, nous avons loué un scooter dans un état pitoyable nous sommes tombé en panne juste après avoir fait le plein. Le personnel est venu nous dépanner avec un autre scooter mais nous ont siphonné seulement la moitié de l’essence que nous venions d’acheter. Et aussi nous avons loué un scooter pour 1/2 journée mais nous avons payer 2/3 du prix sans savoir pourquoi

The rooms are good considering the very generous price and the food portions are generous as well. Huy is a very friendly and attentive host. He helped us alot with organizing our time in Phong Nha. Très belle endroit au calme avec vue sur les rizières et montagne. Ils sont très sympathique, arrangeant et réactif ! Petit déjeuner simple et efficace ! Possibilité de se pauser dans le jardin avec une belle vue. Bon rapport qualité-prix.

Pas très accessible à pied car il y a une grosse route passante pour aller en ville, surtout la nuit. Une petite moustiquaire serait un plus dans la chambre et la salle de bain

Great breakfast and Huy and his sister are very kind. A good location for people wanting some peace and quiet, the view is unbeatable. The bungalow room is very clean and tidy and has a comfortable bed. Huy helped us book a tour and it was one of the best we’ve done in Vietnam, definitely worth it. He even provided us with a free dinner afterwards which was very kind. Definitley worth a stop-in, especially for the price!

The first night he was overbooked so we were put in the family room which was clean but just had a very uncomfortable bed and no sink. We were quickly moved to the bungalow the next day at no extra charge though so worked out great!

Beautiful peaceful location just outside of the village with both bicycle and motorbike renting available. Really good price for what you get and most of all Huy is an amazing host, super friendly, helpfull and welcoming!!!

Die Unterkunft liegt mitten in der Natur. Huy und seine Schwester sind super nett und sehr gastfreundlich. Das Frühstück war authentisch asiatisch, lecker und im günstigen Preis mit inbegriffen.

Die Bilder zeigen die Bungalows, allerdings nicht die Doppelzimmer. Diese sind weniger komfortabel (hellhörig, hartes Bett, keine Vorhänge, keine Klima).

Very friendly and hospitable owner Huy. Nice view. Bicycle or scooter recommended, unless you want to increase amount of steps due to walking to town center. Very recommend, nice and cosy place to stay.

The smell from the bathroom. The sewage system was not watertight. You can hear neighbors from the other room, because of the thin walls on the second floor.

Die erste nacht war ich in nem ziemlich schlechten zimmer. danach wurd ich ins bungalow verfrachtet. Für das erste Zimmer wär der Preis zu hoch. Frühstück war für vegetarier nicht soo bombe.

Huy a été d'une grande aide que ce soit au niveau des activités que des bus. Les hôtes sont très gentils, on mange très bien et le cadre est magnifique.

Étant fervent du déplacement à moindre coût, il était un peu compliqué d'accès a pied.

Huy was so amazingly helpful and accommodating! We rented a scooter from him and tied around on our own 1 day and took a cave tour he set up the 2nd day. He includes dinner with the tour back at the homestay and it was one of the best meals we had. Thank you so much for making everything so easy and enjoyable!

Der Besitzer Huy, war einer der nettesten Menschen die ich in Vietnam kennenlernen durfte! So zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit, unglaublich! Ich durfte 2 Nächte kostenlos in der Hängematte unterm Dach schlafen weil ein Fehler in der Buchung passiert war. Es war der Traum!

Scenery was just beautiful! The breakfast and dinner available were also delicious.

There are lots of mozzies in the room as our bathroom didn’t have a glass window or fly screen - so being repellent! Also it is better to rent bicycles from town if you choose to do so.

I had such a wonderful stay here! Huy and his sister were absolutely amazing hosts. They were so kind, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything I needed. The location is incredible — nestled between the mountains with beautiful surroundings and a very peaceful atmosphere. It’s slightly outside the town center, but only about a five-minute drive, so it was super convenient. Renting a scooter was the perfect way to get around and explore the area. The included breakfast was such a great bonus. Huy’s sister prepared a delicious breakfast every morning, and it was different each day, which made it even more special. Everything was fresh and thoughtfully made. On my last day, after checkout, I had trouble finding a driver to take me to the town center. Huy was incredibly kind and stepped in to help organize a driver for me so I could arrive on time. I really appreciated that extra effort. Overall, it was great value for money, and I would definitely recommend staying here!

Huy is a really kind person who can organize amazing cave tours for you as well as delicious breakfast and dinner. Nice quiet location and bike rental possible. The room was comfortable and we really enjoyed our stay ! Best value in Phong Nha

The price-quality relationship is the best! The room was a little bit dark since we kept our window closed, given there was no mosquito net, and we didn't want anything crawling into the room. The bulb was a bit dim, but the room had everything we needed. There's no hot water (tho we didn't need it since it was very hot), and sometimes some bugs got through the little open window in the bathroom. All part of staying in the countryside, I reckon. It wasn't a big issue for us. Huy, especially, was a great host. He made sure we had everything we needed at all times. On the day of checkout, we had a tour planned, and we had to leave the room early. He kept our bags for us and even prepared a room and towels so that we could shower after we were back. The location is a bit far from downtown and you can't really walk there so it's best to just rent a bike from him, which we did. It was inexpensive and very practical! Definitely recommend doing the same since Grab sometimes takes forever to get a driver for you. Actually, the day we checked out, we couldn't get a driver at all, so Huy kindly arranged one for us! Huy's sister (sorry, I can't remember her name!) was also amazing! She was very helpful and kind. She even gave us a warm hug before we left! The best thing about staying here was definitely the view of the rice fields and the mountain. Truly breathtaking. All in all, it was a great experience! Breakfast was simple but nice (fried rice, ramen, noodles), so if you fancy coffee or anything like that, you'd have to head downtown.

Maybe the windows could have a mosquitoe net or glass so that it can be left open for better lighting without having anything flying into the room.

The owner is very helpful and really cares for his customers. The place is located in a beautiful area, surrounded by rice fields and mountains. I very much enjoyed my stay.

Accommodation was basic but cheap. The owner is lovely. Good water pressure and AC. Nice view from the property. Location is a bit far but they offer motorbike rental onsite which is convenient.

This room is not pictured on the listing. It would be helpful for guests to know what they’re booking before arriving and being surprised at how vastly different this room is compared to the ones pictured. The bed was very uncomfortable, springs digging into our backs. There were lots of holes in the walls/gaps between the walls and ceiling so we had quite a lot of bugs in the room. It looks as though this room is unfinished. Breakfast was a bit disappointing, we weren’t offered anything, we were just given a small plate of fried rice with egg. No coffee or juice offered. Overall it was okay but i would recommend going for the more expensive “family room” as it looks a lot better.
