Absolute tranquility. Everything about this place encourages you to take it slow and relax. The rooms are large and comfortable, the hotel grounds a lush garden and the surrounds are rice paddy fields. The included breakfast options were tasty. The included bikes are great and encourage you to explore the area slowly. Just watch out and wave for the many colourful VW tours Me and my wife stayed here for 2 nights whilst visiting Borobudur and left very relaxed. What a great place!

Personeel vriendelijk en hulpvaardig, gratis fietsen die je kan pakken geven extra flexibiliteit en een hele mooie dag rondrijden in de regio. Ook rijd je met 'je' fiets in enkele minuten naar de Borobudur. Uitstekend zwembad, hele fijne cottages en matrassen. Echte toplocatie die we iedereen kunnen aanbevelen. Eten werkt net anders dan je gewend bent. Geen menu waaruit je kan kiezen, maar binnen jouw wensen (bv vega) verzorgt hotel voor-, hoofd- en nagerecht. Voor een vast (laag) bedrag. Nergens zo smaakvol gegeten als bij Rumah Dharma.

Alles overtrof de verwachtingen. Geen enkele tegenvaller!

La localisation au calme tout en étant à 10 min à pied de la ville et du Borbodur, la gentillesse et disponibilité du personnel, les repas servis qui sont pour l’instant les meilleurs, la jolie piscine et la chambre.

S’il faut trouver quelque chose : les toilettes non isolés dans la chambre :)

Da ich nur eine Nacht dort war und um 5 Uhr morgens für eine Sonnenaufgangstour abgeholt wurde, konnte ich das Frühstück nicht in Anspruch nehmen. Mir wurde aber sehr freundlich eine Frühstücksbox angeboten und sogar morgens um 5 Uhr zum Zimmer gebracht. Das war wirklich unglaublich freundlich. Das Personal war super freundlich und das Abendessen wirklich perfekt. Es wurde sehr freundlich aufgetischt und erklärt was zubereitet wurde, wenn man das traditionelle indonesische Menü wählt.

Die Betten benötigen unbedingt Mückennetze, ich hatte viele Mücken im Zimmer.

Nothing- it was perfect

This is the best hotel I have stayed in for many reasons. It is not grand or overly ornate, but it gives the feeling of freedom and comfort from the moment you arrive to the moment you depart. It is a bijou boutique set up with fabulous staff and amazing food. It is without doubt a 'must stay' for anyone wanting to visit Borobudur.

There is nothing about the hotel That we did not like.

Tolle Atmosphäre mit wenig Zimmern und dadurch fast privat. Auch die Lage super ruhig und trotzdem beim Frühstück einen schönen Ausblick in die Landschaft.

L’hôtel est situé au milieu des rizières. Le cadre est donc verdoyant. Des bouteilles d’eau sont disponibles à chaque repas. L’hôtel dispose de vélos gratuits. Petit déjeuner: plusieurs plats au choix, fruits, snack sucré Indonésie , thé, café.

Le matin, il y a du bruit: pétard, mosquée, voix du personnel.

The location was delightful and surrounded by rice fields. The room was comfortable with a large comfortable bed and small verandah to sit and relax while looking out at the fields. The food was very good and the small pool lovely to cool down in after a long hot day. The gardens surrounding the rooms were lovely and made the place feel like a little oasis.

We didn’t get enough days to stay here.

La quiétude et le paysage autourla magie du lieu devant les rizières, l esthétisme du jardin, la nourriture..

Prachtig gelegen in de rijstvelden en toch op korte afstand van het centrum. Fijn dat er gratis fietsen zijn want de omgeving is prachtig om per fiets te verkennen. Het zwembad is fijn en naast je eigen terras zijn er ook voldoende plekjes om relaxt te zitten.

Ik heb een keer gedineerd in het hotel. Vond het eten lekker maar wel wat erg vlak van smaak.

There were limited food options during the day. Breakfast and dinner were delicious, but more variety for snacks during the day would be great.

Beautiful property in a stunning setting looking out across the rice fields; a view back to Borobudur from the road and only a ~15 minute bike ride to the temple. Good breakfast, great coffee and nice to have access to a bike to explore the villages. Friendly and helpful staff.

The only thing I can think of is that Food options a little limited at dinner (set menu, no choice) and a little on the expensive side for Indonesia, but I understand in a small place you can’t really offer a lot of choice or you’d have a lot of wastage.; and it was still cheap! It was also delicious and worth it!! And there are other options in walking distance anyway so it’s not really a problem, just something to bear in mind for your plans.

The food is too expensive compare to the good restaurants in that area.

Proche du temple de Borobudur, mais au milieu des rizières. Chambre et salle de bain propres, nettoyage quotidien si demande. Eau chaude et pression. Bonne literie, clim bien située. Excellent petit déjeuner. Repas du soir très agréable. Jardin bien entretenu avec de joli gazebo. Personnel sympathique mais pas assez pro-actif. Le wifi est relativement bon. Les villageois alentours sont très sympathiques et conviviaux. Un gentil cadeau de départ est offert.

Les prises sont nombreuses mais pas très bien situées. La chambre est vaste mais un peu sombre. Il manque un frigo. Le rapport qualité/prix peut être amélioré.

We loved our stay. The facilities, the environment and the staff were 10/10. Food was amazing. Very close to the temple. We rode the free push bikes provided. Highly recommend this beautiful place.

首先泳池不是一直都是活水，换水器有时候不开，其次我们第一天早餐挺不错的，第二天早餐就没有给我点心，还有就是说实话真的很吵很吵很吵！如果睡眠质量不好的很难入睡

Die Lage war natürlich großartig, umgeben von Reisfeldern und dörflichem Leben. Die Bungalows sind ausreichend groß und bieten genügend Ablageflächen im Zimmer. Auch das Bad ist geräumig und komfortabel. Das Bett ist bequem mit ordentlichem Bettzeug. Die Zimmer sowie die Anlage waren gepflegt und sauber. Der Pool hat eine mittleren Tiefe, sodass Schwimmen gut möglich ist, aber auch für Nichtschwimmer ist er noch geeignet, da Steh-Tiefe. Die angebotenen Fahrräder waren immer griffbereit und in ausreichender Anzahl vorhanden. Es wird ein Abendessen in Form von „Buffet am Tisch“ angeboten. Suppe, mehrere Hauptspeisen, Nachtisch und Kaffee. (Es gibt kein Menü à la carte!) Man gibt einfach ein paar Stunden vorher Bescheid, ob man am Abend dort essen möchte. Und lässt sich überraschen, was serviert wird. Wir haben 3x zu Abend dort gegessen, es war jedesmal sehr ansprechend, geschmackvoll und abwechslungsreich, typisch javanische Gerichte, immer mit ausreichend Gemüsevatianten. Die Angestellten waren alle sehr freundlich, höflich und zuvorkommend.

Es gibt nichts, was mir missfallen hätte. Aber ich kann ein paar Anregungen geben, was verbessert werden kann: Die Vorhänge in den Zimmern sollten in Ordnung gebracht werden, einige Aufhänger sind abgerissen. Die Beleuchtung in den Zimmern gibt eine zu dunkle Atmosphäre, vielleicht könnte man ein paar Glühbirnen durch LEDs ersetzen?

Everything was great

Breakfast staff were amazing, and breakfast choices and items were very good. Rice-table dinner was different every evening and very tasty. The rooms were a little basic but pleasant enough. The complimentary use of bicycles is very convenient either for going to the Borobudur temple (±35 minutes drive in the sun - don't forget to use sunscreen!) or exploring the beautiful countryside around Rumah Dharma. We were deeply touched by the beautiful present they gave us when we left.

Mosques are very loud indeed. Keep your clothes packed in your luggage because gecko droppings are a real hazard.

The serenity of the location; the friendly staff;

The maintenance of the property such as the electric sockets in the room are detached, the hairfryer is shaky and weak, the nooks and corners of the room and toilet are dusty, the towels are grey instead of white.

This was a lovely property and was great value. We had a large group of 16, and they were very accommodating with our children as well. The food was excellent and felt home cooked. Thank you for having us, the staff were really friendly as well.

We were delightful to stay 3 nights at Rumah Dharma, a really lovely, soothing and relaxing place. The service and the hospitality of all the team are just amazing. Such sweet, warming and carring persons. The team is doing the best for you to have the nicer staying you can have. They were very helpful and carrying for your well-being in general, with the activity you want to do around and with any problem you may encounter. They arranged us a scooter, helped us to find a place to weigh ours luggages for our next departure, they rided me back to the shop where i forget my bag, let free bicycle at your disposition…. They were attentive about the food request. An exceptional guest service and professionalism. The resort is splendid, the decoration is tasteful, with a beautiful natural wood and stone. The landscape in the field sourrounding by the mountain is very nice . We spent 1 month in Indonesia (Sulawesi and a small part of Java) and their restaurant is the best cuisine we have been able to taste there, such a finesse and a great quality. I highly recommend this resort for the wonderful team, their restaurant and the place itself. Eva from Paris .

Loved the peaceful rural location in the middle of the rice fields. The room was spacious and clean, the bed comfortable. The small pool was perfect for cooling off and some areas surrounded by a small garden for lounging, both under cover and in the sun. Food at Rumah Dharma was fantastic. We stayed for four days and ate there for most meals. The Indonesian food was varied and delicious- but we had to ask for sambal as they assume foreigners don’t like spice. There are bicycles provided free for guests, nice to ride around the local area. It took about 15 minutes to cycle to Borobudur. There’s a beautiful museum in the local village that’s definitely worth checking out as well. Staff were all very friendly and helpful and spoke good English.

Not everyone will like the layout of the bathroom, incorporated into the main room with only a screen and not a door. Being in the countryside, the calls to prayer at various local mosques can get rather loud, but this is a fact of life in Java.

We appreciated the kindness of the staff, the villa was super cool and excellent position, 15 min bicycle ride from Borobodur temple. Also the surroundings were very nice and authentic to explore. Delicious and cheap dinner and excellent breakfast. Nice pool!

De prachtige locatie en het mooie hotel en zwembad. We kregen gratis fietsen om de Borobudur te bezoeken. Het was 20 minuten fietsen! Het personeel was super lief en behulpzaam. Het eten was heerlijk! Echt wel een aanrader.

Kamer slecht onderhouden, spinnenwebben, stoffig en de badkamer, de kranen helemaal verkalkt. Weinig lichtpunten, groot licht. Verder heel mooi bed en badkamer.

Excellent location in the rice fields and great atmosphere in the garden to hake dinner by the pool or just chill. One of the best meals we had in our trip. Don’t be afraid of frogs and geckos and other animal sounds, it’s the same everywhere in indonesia close to nature.

The hospitality was amazing, really good service and the food was absolutely lovely. Really close to Borobudur as well. The rooms and site are really nice also.

Be aware that the call to prayer can be quite loud in this location - not the fault of the accommodation but it's worth noting, this is Indonesia after all! You will also be sharing your space with the odd gecko, again, nothing that can be helped by the accommodation but it's worth mentioning as some people may want to be aware of this in advance.

La guesthouse était charmante avec une jolie piscine et des chambres de belle taille. L’emplacement, au milieux des rizières et entouré de jolis village était top! L’établissement met à disposition des vélos pour se rendre à Borobudur et se balader aux alentours. La nourriture était très bonne et le personnel très agréable. Je recommande vraiment cet établissement!

Le bruit en soirée du fait des chants des villages alentours. Les bouchons d’oreille sont les bienvenus! ;)

Prachtige kamers in mooie tuin met lekker zwembadje en overal uitzicht over de rijstvelden. Een oase van rust vlakbij de borobudur, waar je op de aanwezige fietsen naar toe kunt. Heerlijk ontbijt, heerlijk diner. Geweldige plek om te verblijven.

We werden om 05:00 uur bruut gewekt door de oproep van naastgelegen moskee. Dat was het enige aandachtspunt. Verder fantastisch verblijf gehad!

Struttura meravigliosa immersa nelle risaie. Camera spaziosa con patio. Ristorante a disposizione per colazione, pranzo e cena. Biciclette a disposizione a titolo gratuito. Il tempio è raggiungibile comodamente in bici. Ci hanno organizzato un tour nei villaggi nel pomeriggio molto bello oltre a vari transfer. Piscina perfetta. Personale molto gentile.

Should take better care of maintenance

L emplacement dans la verdure et les rizières. Personnel aux petits soins . Repas exceptionnel. Comme nous ne mangeons pas beaucoup ils nous ont proposé de prendre un menu pour 2 .la piscine pour se rafraîchir..

Pensez à bien vous mettre de l anti moustique car les portes et fenêtres ne sont pas étanches . Nous étions la chambre à côté de la rue donc assez bruyante le matin donc réserver une autre chambre .Et à 4h30 l appel à la prière est très fort .

Mooie locatie. Kamers zijn mooi, basic maar comfortabel. Bieden lokaal ontbijt en diner aan, wat wel redelijk goed was. Heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. Fietsen gratis mee te nemen om omgeving te verkennen.

Slechte nachtrust doordat de arbeiders op het rijstveld 's morgens vroeg beginnen te slaan op stokken om vogels weg te jagen, en het gebed van de Moslims weerklinkt enorm luid. Kan het hotel niet aan doen natuurlijk.

Frühstück und Abendessen waren ausgezeichnet. Kleines, wunderschönes Anwesen inmitten von Reisfeldern. Sehr empfehlenswert.

The hotel features a beautiful garden and pool - perfect for relaxing. The staff were very kind and helped carry my luggage, which was much appreciated. If you walk along the main road toward the next hotel, you’ll catch stunning views of Merapi volcano and even see the top of Borobudur directly from the hotel.

There was no kettle, fridge, or safety deposit box in the room, but you can get both hot and cold water from a dispenser in the restaurant kitchen. Still, considering that there is no convenience store nearby, I would appreciate these amenities in the room. Do keep in mind that the hotel is close to paddy fields, so insects and small animals are around - something to be aware of if you’re not used to nature.

Located in quiet kampung in the rice fields a short distance from Borobodur temple. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were helpful and friendly. All meals were excellent and generous servings. The manager helped arrange an excellent day tour for us and we enjoyed the use of bicycles to explore the local area. We highly recommend Rumah Dharma
