There were dogs. They barks when they see new people coming.

Het gezin wat deze accommodatie runt is super lief en behulpzaam. Ze hebben heerlijk ontbijt voor ons gemaakt en we hebben spelletjes met ze gespeeld. De locatie is top, je ligt tussen 2 stranden in.

We enjoyed are stay very much at Newtons family home. The location is great and the family are wonderful. My partner lost his phone and the family were amazing in helping find it for us even taking us to the police station and spending the day walking around searching, until we eventually found it. We even did surf lessons with the son which were great. The room is very basic, but all you need with a bed and bathroom.

Just a heads up, you get what you pay for.

Super schöne Unterkunft mit genialer Lage. Ruhig in der Natur und nicht zu weit zu den Stränden. Frühstück war auch jeden Tag spitze und immer abwechslungsreich. Genau wie das Abendessen. Gerne wieder, viele Grüße und alles gute :)

Breakfast was nice, family were nice

You lived like you would with family, so you felt like you never had to worry about anything really, laundry, food, cleaning and also just getting to experience day to day living at a family’s home We also danced together, played cards together, watched TV and movies together, I also stayed for the Buddhist new year and got to experience how they traditionally celebrate this beautiful day Even Tisha who is Newtons son is a surf instructor and gave me some amazing surf lessons while I was here, I felt like a progressed really fast and was already surfing in the intermediate surf area by the second lesson

For me personally there is nothing that I did not like, I just had some requirements for a longer term stay, since I work remotely So I was looking for somewhere with more stable internet, a kitchen for my own cooking and just where I have a more self service options as well just because of budget reasons All the services they do have though are fantastic and generally very affordable, so if I was not staying for months and not working I would have definitely loved just being pampered the way I was here

We loved the family very much, the outside area is nice and the aircon was just a big plus. It is a bit of a walk but we actually liked it. The free breakfast was very nice and they sometimes just came to bring a coffee or some snacks. Lovely family.

The only thing I would say are the dogs at night. They become very loud and we had some trouble sleeping. But with earplugs it was fine.

Schön ruhig gelegen. Ein Spaziergang Richtung Stadtkern bietet schöne Aussichten und dauert etwa 10 Minuten. Die Zimmer sind recht klein, aber ein Schreibtisch dient der Ablage. Nette und bemühte Gastgeber.

Den Preis fürs Frühstück sollte ich selbst bestimmen. Das hat mir nicht so gut gefallen. Mir ist es lieber, wenn ein konkreter Preis genannt wird. Andernfalls ist es ein wenig unangenehm.

Komfortabel seng, og ikke langt å gå til stranda - rundt 1km. Men hundene og støy holder deg våken gjennom natten og avtalt pris via booking ble ikke holdt av utleier som økte prisen. Familien er hyggelig, men klarer du ikke å sove gjennom støy vil jeg anbefale å ikke booke her dessverre.

Støy og øking av pris (selv om det var ekstremt rimelig å bo der). Vanvittig varmt, og uten å lukke vinduene blir hundehyl og musikken for mye.

Sehr liebe Besitzer und süße Hunde (freundet euch mit diesen an damit sie euch wieder erkennen wenn ihr im Dunkeln zurück kommt). Sehr gutes und ausreichendes Frühstück. Sie würde euch immer mehr geben bis ihr satt seid.

Lasst euch nicht von deren Tuktuk-Freund zB zur Bushaltestelle fahren. Wir hatten 350 ausgemacht (Pickme Preis war 306. Er hatte erst 600 vorgeschlagen) und während der Fahrt hat er versucht auf 400 hochzuhandeln und als ich ihm sagte ich sei aus Deutschland hat er gelacht und meinte "aus Deutschland und nicht mehr bezahlen wollen??" Dann hat er mir von seinen 5 Kindern erzählt um mich umzustimmen. War eine sehr unangenehme Fahrt, aber dafür können ja die Besitzer der Unterkunft nichts, deswegen keinen Abzug bei der Bewertung

The family is very lovely. Very calm and beautiful house in the green. Very close to the city and beach.

You’re staying at a room in the family’s house, they are really nice people and super helpful and friendly! They made us really good breakfast every morning. It’s super close to the surf beach and to blue beach which is really beautiful!

The whole experience was pretty chilled, nothing to complain about.

Really lovely people who ran the home stay. For a place with a fan it was very good, and the room was a great size. The location is great, a little further out of town, but in a nice way. There’s a 10-15 minute walk into town via the beach which is lovely.

Honestly no complaints as it’s so affordable.

Great location, family was lovely and super accomodating! Place was nice and clean and breakfast was delicious!

I liked the fact that the owners were helpful and supportive. The second we wanted to heat some food and without any hesitation they did so.

On the first night once we returned from the beach, there was a group that was drinking with music turned on. I have no issue with that but the music was a bit loud and It made it difficult for us to sleep

The family is very warm and caring! I felt so welcome and at home, the private room was very nice.

It's bit further out of the centre of Hiriketiya, but the walk is not long (10 mins) just good to keep in mind!

The family were so hospitable, you could tell they just wanted to provide for us.

Beautiful Newton family thank you for everything. We stayed 6 nights and will definitely come back. Calm and silent place between Hiriketiya Beach and Blue Beach both 10 minutes walk. Delicious food, washing machine, always help and good advice. Bohoma stutiyi

The host is amazing They take care of everything for you and you see they have very little but they are some of the most welcoming people I have ever met They give you the clothes off of their back even if they don’t have any to give just to make you feel welcomed Really top notch Super nice people

Comfortable accommodation close to the beach. Friendly host and tasty breakfast.

Staff were so great and very assistive. Comfortable room with the basic necessities you need. What you pay for is what you get.

Best guesthouse in Hiriketiya! The family was so kind and it really felt like home. I hope we will come back again one day!

Nice Family, very friendly, mother is a first class cook, I ca recommend the sri lankan breakfast, father is a fisherman so id your lucky you get delicious fresh fish or lobster, son is a surfteacher and his friends have a board rental, daughter speaks good english and is a dancer! Highly recommended
