Reviewed Sep 3, 2026The owner of this guest-house is so nice, i booked the wrong date of arrival, i asked him if i can come a day later anf it was no problem for him. Also the room was really nice, clean and had everything you needed. The breakfast was also really nice and he also as a bike-rental for a really affordable price. If I'm ever back in Sideman, i'm gonna come back here

Reviewed Aug 4, 2026Big room comfortable bed and good quality linen also within walking distance to local Warungs. Short distance to the famous rice paddy walk which I really enjoyed. Owner was very friendly and helpful with recommendations and made a wonderful set menu breakfast which was served on the balcony.
It is on a main Rd which did bother me at first but the traffic ceased fairly early in the evening and I had one of the best nights sleep.

Il y avait un peu de bruit parfois la nuit à cause de la proximité avec la route, mais ça reste léger et nous avons très bien dormi.

Reviewed Jul 8, 2026Tout était génial, vraiment. Surtout l’hôte qui est d’une gentillesse unique, il fait tout pour que vous soyez à l’aise et que vous ne manquiez de rien. La chambre est très confortable et le petit déjeuner inclus est très bon.
Rien, hormis peut-être le bruit de la route à partir de 7h du matin mais ce n’est pas dérangeant pour dormir honnêtement

Reviewed Jun 20, 2026Sehr sauber! Besonders habe ich geliebt das Bettwäsche und Handtücher wirklich weiß waren und keine fragwürdigen Flecken hatten. Ich bin da etwas pingelig und das erlebt man selten, gerade bei günstigeren Zimmer. Das Zimmer ist komfortabel mit einer großzügigen Terasse. Der Aussenbereich ist schlicht aber schön. Es gibt zu jeder Zeit warmes Wasser zum Duschen. Frühstück ist im Preis bereits enthalten. Dieses ist zwar jeden Tag relativ ähnlich, aber in Ordnung. Yantu kommt mehrfach am Tag vorbei um nach dem Rechten zu sehen. Er ist sehr lieb und freundlich!
Es kann zwischenzeitlich wirklich laut werden da es an der Hauptstraße liegt, ich denke das ist aber normal. Zu den wichtigen Zeiten ab nachts war es ruhig, sodass man gut schlafen konnte.

La chambre était grande et très propre. Le petit déjeuner était très bon et copieux. On a pu aussi louer un scooter, bien pratique pour se balader. Merci beaucoup pour cet accueil, on recommande.

Leider sehr feucht im Zimmer, man konnte die Feuchtigkeit riechen.

Reviewed Nov 9, 2025The host is super nice and friendly, he comes with breakfast, and he gave me a bucked and some extra toilet paper when I was sick. He was super helpful and gave us recommendations. The bed was soft and nice, it was clean, and super affordable.
The only thing I could think of would be that there was no air conditioning and so the air felt a bit tight and closed sometimes when the door was locked and not open. So at night f ex when you want to have the door locked so that no flies come in, the air flor was not the best but this didn’t affect us at all

Die Unterkunft ist direkt an der Straße. Es war eine große Zeremonie und sehr viel Verkehr, was wohl nicht immer so ist. In dieser Nacht war es etwas laut.

Reviewed Sep 4, 2025Le logement était super, très propre, chambre très grande ! Salle de bain basique mais propre et fonctionnelle. Le gérant YANTU est super gentil et serviable, il nous a aidé à organisé les trajets pendant notre séjour.
Le seul point négatif est le bruit des motos et voiture qui passent au bord de la route ou se situe le homestay, c’est un peu bruyant.

La chambre est très confortable et spacieuse, tout est nickel. On a juste à donner l'heure à laquelle on veut le petit déjeuner et il nous l'amène sur notre terrasse. À 3mn à pied des restos et du centre. Je recommande !

The breakfast was included and very tasty. He even let me shower after I had checked out which was very kind indeed. The room was very spacious and clean and provided everything needed to have a comfortable stay.

Each morning Pak the friendly owner, would serve us breakfast on the Patio, fresh fruit, scrambled eggs and coffee. It was very good! Thank you Pak for our lovely stay here, we really enjoyed our time in Sidemen.

It's a little far and difficult to find scooter drivers here but you can rent a scooter there and the owner offered to drop me off. The bed was a bit hard. Something I would add is a mirror in the bathroom and towel hangers. Overall it's a great place for the price!!

I think that another towel would be good (one for body, one for hands when washing). Also a mirror in the room, a hook to hang things on in the bathroom and maybe a shelf to put things on. Be aware too that there's only two units on the property and the owner lives elsewhere, so if you a solo traveller you might feel quite isolated there. I didn't, but just so you know you would be all alone.

Reviewed Nov 19, 2024One of the worst accommodation experiences I’ve ever had I’ve been traveling around the world for years and never had such a negative experience. We booked this accommodation last minute due to a change in plans, as it had decent reviews – something I now find hard to believe. We arrived in the afternoon, tired from our journey. The host, although not fluent in English, was polite and even agreed to rent us a scooter at half price since we got it late. So far, everything seemed fine. However, the problems started as soon as we entered the room. There was a strong smell of dampness and mold. Since we left immediately for a short walk and dinner, we didn’t give it much thought at first. But upon returning, the smell had become unbearable. We had to stay outside the room for about two hours with the doors open, hoping the smell would go away – which it didn’t. Even though we had booked for two nights, we decided to stay only one and leave the next day. Unfortunately, that turned out to be the worst decision. Apart from the awful smell, there was a strange noise during the night that made us feel unsafe. We wanted to leave immediately, but due to the late hour, we couldn’t find a taxi and were forced to stay the night. My partner managed to get a little sleep, but I couldn’t sleep at all. In the morning, we messaged the host, expecting at least an apology or some concern. Instead, we received a simple and indifferent response: “Good morning, this is a Homestay.” Instead of understanding, we got complete indifference. We didn’t receive any refund, and on top of that, we were charged for the scooter we only used for a few hours. The host could have at least apologized or waived that cost as a gesture of goodwill, considering we left early. It’s not about the money we lost but the lack of professionalism and the poor handling of the situation.
