Reviewed Jul 24, 2026Das Peggy ans Moores ist super süß und so wie man sich einen irischen Pub vorstellt. Der Herr beim Check In ( ich hab leider den Namen vergessen sorry), war total lieb und herzlich. Ich habe mich sofort willkommen gefühlt. Die Ausstattung ist super für ein Hostel und die Betten bequem. Direkt gegenüber bekommen auch Frühaufsteher einen außergewöhnlich guten Kaffe und Gebäck. Ich kann die Übernachtung hier nur empfehlen, und würde sofort wiederkommen. Unkompliziert, herzlich und warm!! Und mein allererstes Guinness hat total lecker geschmeckt. 😋 Normalerweise trinke ich keinen Alkohol.

Reviewed Jul 19, 2026I got there late and check in was in busy pub below but the staff were great and made the effort to get me checked in when they could. Good privacy beds, decent bathroom. Pub downstairs was lively, music on till about 12.30. Short walk to town.

Alquilé 3 camas en una habitación de 4, 50€ cada una, el espacio super súper justo , eran dos literas en un mini espacio. Por ese precio o un poco más me aloje en muchos sitios de irlanda, pero como lo reserve a última hora no me quedo más remedio que aguantarme.

Instead of getting 3 beds that we paid for,we were giving 2 instead,when booking it never stated that it was a mixed room,we had girl children with us,only to find out that we were sharing with grown men,we were told that at least we have a place to sleep,it’s not like we don’t have a booking.we were very disappointed,we opted to cancel our booking

Reviewed Jul 7, 2026Great spot, especially for the price. Room, bedding, and facilities were clean and secure. Felt very safe as a solo traveler. Lockable drawer under the bed, bed was very comfortable. curtains for privacy, good wifi. Street parking is a little annoying, but not at all a deal breaker, and honestly, made my car pretty convenient to get to. I never had to park more than a block away. Plenty of good food and nightlife around, plenty of extremely cool places to go within walking distance or within easy driving distance. I will definitely be staying here again the next time I'm in Drogheda.
My only issue was that the pub downstairs and the bar across the street were a little loud when i was trying to go to sleep, but that's only because I'm a very boring person who wanted to go to bed at like 9:30 on a Saturday night. For anyone who has a sense of fun that wont be a problem.

There was no breakfast, but there are various cafes and restaurants, as well as a supermarket 200m away where you can get breakfast.

More information on the breakfast. Also when I tried to book directly with Peggy Moores website it said it was booked up so \I gave up but when i looked for an alternative location on a travel search site I was able to book a room.

Reviewed Apr 11, 2026I was there with a group of friends to go to a Play in the local theatre. The accommodation was perfect for our needs. The bunk beds were more comfortable than we expected. and the room and bathroom were very clean. We had dinner in the bar in the evening and it was very good. We were happy to not have to go looking for somewhere to eat.
We rang down to the bar after closing time to ask if we good get some snacks, crisps / nuts. We were told no. I could understand if we were looking for alcohol but we weren't.

There was an event with loud music at the bar/pub underneath the accommodation that went on until after midnight. It would have been good to inform guests that the event was happening and it might impact the guests.
