Reviewed Sep 18, 2026Das "deluxe" Doppelzimmer Zimmer hat extrem modrig gerochen, was auch das offene Fenster nicht behoben hat. Es hat insgesamt sehr abgeranzt gewirkt. Uns wurde gesagt, dass unsere Dusche vielleicht nicht richtig geht, weil sich andere beschwert haben, dass das Wasser zu heiß ist. Aber das würde ja nichts machen, weil man ja das Gemeinschaftsbad benutzen könnte! Sehe ich anders, schließlich musste ich ja für das eigene Bad auch extra bezahlen! Ein Schnäppchen war es nicht. Die Küche, in der man sich das Frühstück machen konnte, ist sehr in die Jahre gekommen und eher ungepflegt (die Plastiktischdecke hat geklebt), es war zwar theoretisch alles da, aber die vorhandene Pfanne war so schlecht, dass alles darin angeklebt ist. Das ganze Haus gehört dringend renoviert, es wirkt vieles schmuddelig.

Reviewed Sep 17, 2026I arrived at night and was very tired. The place was very quiet and it gave me the comfort to sleep well. I really enjoyed my stay with them. The communication with the staff was very positive. It was very clean as well. The buses stop exactly beside the hostel and moving around the city was easy. ♥️💕💕

Reviewed Sep 8, 2026A short walk into town, there is access to a kitchen, outdoor seating area, and a cave like sitting room, cold breakfast available, funky charm.
I thought it was walking distance to the train station, it was not. We could not get the shower to work without scalding water. Young crowd. We heard there is a great pub across the street after we left, wish we had more help with what was in the area. Room to store luggage very limited.

It was the dirtiest, smelliest hostel I have ever stayed in. In the bedroom there was a cup sitting that must of been there for weeks because the amount of blue mould in it was disgusting.

I think the layout was probably the least positive aspect of the place, with little short stairs going up and stairs going down, the kitchen basically in the basement. But it's just an old, funky building better than that, like I said, The Price is Right

However, staff is friendly at this hostel.

Purtroppo abbiamo trovato le lenzuola sporche, che sono state cambiate immediatamente per fortuna. L’appartamento non era pulitissimo.

Reviewed Aug 26, 2026Ottima soluzione per una notte di passaggio a Drogheda in macchina. L'host ci ha accolto e permesso di lasciare la macchina proprio davanti alla struttura. La camera era molto spaziosa e silenziosa.
La struttura ha arredi molto antichi e di recupero, si tratta però di un ostello quindi tendenzialmente direi che la qualità del soggiorno è abbastanza okay,

Reviewed Aug 20, 2026The photos on Booking website don’t match the reality. Tiny rooms, bathroom is 2 to 3 floors down, the furniture on the bedrooms are old and low quality. The area around the hostel doesn’t feel safe (signs mentioning that drug is not allowed inside the property), the sign outside the hostel is barely visible, there is no parking around. We left 10 min after arrival and booked another hotel.

My room was grimy nothing like the photos! It was disgusting. I paid €91! The carpet with cigarette burns and uneven badly papered dirty walls and contents were like something you'd expect from the 60's. The noise from the busy road kept me awake all night even with ear plugs. I was top of the house too so the heat was unbearable. If you were tall you wouldn't be able to stand in Room 8. I had no ensuite or sink so had to go down two flights of stairs to the communal two toilets and three showers. Booking.com you have gone down too in my ratings.

Reviewed Jul 2, 2026pas vraiment d'accueil, on découvre les lieux comme on peut puis pris en charge par un locataire en l'absence d'un responsable. chambre simple, ça fait le boulot pour la nuit, sanitaires à l'étage inférieur, très petites douches, pas de place pour poser ses affaires, sa serviette. petit dej simple, il faut chercher, oser se servir, pas très convivial mais à la rigueur je peux comprendre que tout le monde se réveille
au final, ce n'était pas une mauvaise expérience ni une mauvaise nuit, mais sans plus et pour le prix c'est cher payé pour ce que c'est.

Les matelas sont très creux et usés, pour le prix, ils pourraient être changés ! Certains voisins ont été très bruyants (une colonie d’ado) pour qui les responsables ne faisaient rien / pas de rappel à l’ordre.

I didn’t realize the place was right on the road. Difficult to park. The room was on the top floor and it was very hot. The water in the shower would just go from hot to cold and cold to hot without any adjustments being made. One of us got scalded.

Reviewed Jun 16, 2026Très bien situé à 8mn à pied de la gare. Idéal pour prendre le train et passer la journée à Dublin. Personnel sympathique, situé dans un vieil immeuble, décor adapté.
Ce n'est pas un vrai B&B, mais plutôt une auberge de jeunesse. On se prépare son petit déjeuner, fait sa vaisselle et range ses couverts. Tout ceci n'est jamais signalé dans l'annonce. Nous avons été surpris, mais avons fait avec. Les meubles de cuisine sont antiques, aucune porte ne ferme. Mais tout se passe dans la bonne humeur. Nous avons oublié de signaler que la lumière ne fonctionnait pas dans la salle de bain qui avait la taille d'un mouchoir de poche. Et le lavabo dans la chambre, pas très pratique et du jamais vu.

Pas de place de stationnement. Matelas très mou et chambre peu confortable au dernier étage avec une fenêtre à ras du sol. Le bruit de la route qui passe juste devant l'hôtel est incessant toute la nuit.

Das Bett war leider schrecklich, viel zu weich und durchgelegen. Die Federn hat man definitiv gespührt. Auch an sich war unser Zimmer eher Kategorie "eklig". Auf dem Fensterbrett lag was altes zu essen, woran sich die Krähen zu schaffen gemacht haben. Frühstück ist inbegriffen, besteht aber aus Toast, Müsli und ein bisschen Obst und Marmelade, welches auf dem Tisch liegt. Die Küche ist nicht sauber und ordentlich, uns fiel es hier schwer etwas zu essen.

Чудернацькі люди ніби більшість гостей живе там давно чи довго, не дуже зручні ліжка (мені подобаються більш тверді матраси), але загалом цілком нормально, не дуже брудно, майже все чудово, є кухня та внутрішній дворик. Мені особисто було трішки не комфортно що туалет та душ спільний з чоловіками, але там було досить чисто

Reviewed May 30, 2026Old and needs updating. I paid £160 for 2 nights double bed single room (tiny) with breakfast. There was no cupboards or wardrobe just a double bed. 8am is the earliest for bread & cereal, bananas and help yourself.
People sleeping inside and outside areas on settees bench’s not good.

Le dortoir était un peu moins propre mais les aires communes étaient correctes.

Mould!!!!!! In the coffee!!!! EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW (not a communal coffee pot, but someone had left their coffee cup out for at least several days for it to grow mould. Security felt a little lax, co-ed toilet/shower (not a dealbreaker, but a little off putting ngl)

It was hard to tell who was working there, would have been good to have been shown around the communal areas. A bedside table on both sides of the bed would be handy. There was nowhere to hang the hand towel. Two towels each would have been better for a three night stay. The room had a bit of a smell to it. Just felt a bit of TLC was needed.
