Wonderfully clean; comfortable bed, neat bathroom with good hot and cold running water. Decent air conditioning. Good, spacious room that is quiet.

Placement of power sockets- none near the desk so one cannot work off one’s laptop without worrying about the charge. Also, the Internet is very patchy. Impossible to have video calls

Location was good. Had nostalgic memories with the hotel hence chose to stay here.

Furniture in the room were old and some were damaged even though in usable and good condition; Rooms and amenities really need renovation and modernization.

Not good as before Maitanace is not good Rooms are not clean there is dust Restaurant is also not clean- it's not cleaned even after the other parties went after eating. Service is bad All together the stay was not satisfying The only plus point is that the shiva temple is opposite rest all bad Not what I imagined of BTH standard. Very sad

Centre location with proximity to all places. Very close to Ernakuleswar Temple, Murugan & Anjaneya temples. Food is very good and its pure vegetarian hotel. Rooms are spacious and there is separate sit out lobby with sofa sets in room which is luxury in today’s times. Staff are very courteous. Worth for money.

Exhaust fan was not there in toilet. Possible they must have removed for any repairs / replacement. Could not check on that. If not there suggest they provide it as space is available.

The location is awesome. The rooms, while big, looked old and jaded. But the rooms were well maintained.

There is nothing that I disliked specifically. For the price I paid, it was value for money.

It is an old property, centrally located. Well maintained. Clean & spacious rooms. Hassle free checkin. Warm front desk staff who will address your queries and issues quickly.

Food 1. The breakfast at Subhiksha restaurant can definitely improve. Less options and not very tasty food. 2. There are flies in the restaurant. 3. The table cloths are dirty, floor under the tables have food. Cleanliness needs more rigor. Room 1. No toiletry supplies available. We had to ask for them to provide. 2. There were no water bottles. On asking they provided. 3. There is a minibar in the suite that is empty. The refrigerator was old & dirty.

The hospitality was very good. The food was amazing. The cleanliness was above par.

Although the establishment is quite old, the upkeep is good and the rooms are relatively comfortable. The management deserves praise for nicely maintaining facilities. Combined with the it's prime location, a good choice for a nice stay and good vegetarian food (albeit a little costly)!

Breakfast spread is nice . But if one stays 3/4 days in one stretch one gets tired. Needs a little more variety . But your buffet breakfast is value for money ,no doubt.

The park and Temple close by

There are two issues 1. The staff at the reception area mechanical and process driven. They lack warmth and friendliness. When I asked the if I could get 1 hour of extra check out time the reply was pedantic and brusque - telling me if the stay exceeded 1 hour I would be charged for an extra day. 2. There are flies in the restaurant which come and sit on the food. So when I am eating, my left hand is constantly waving away flies. Horrible and unhygienic.

The breakfast spread was very good. Very apt for a morning meal. The waiters are very pleasant and helpful. The environment is clean and neat the service when asked is provided with a smile.

I have stayed at Bharat hotel several times and been visiting this hotel past 30 years. This time I booked the hotel from 13th till 16th March which included breakfast. While check in I was told my room includes breakfast. When I arrived for breakfast on the 14th, none of the hotel staff informed me where to have my breakfast and neither told me that I should go to the buffet for breakfast. On the contrary I was charged breakfast for both 14th and 15th. We checked out very early on the 16th and hence we did not have breakfast that day. When I objected this to the reception staff, he very blatantly told me I should be the one asking. It was only after I said I will complain to booking.com and I need to speak to the manager they offered me a 600₹ discount on the bill. Although for both days they charged me over 1500₹ for the breakfast. Not happy at all with my stay. Hotel is very old and the staff is unprofessional. No doubt their food is good, but this type of cheating and attitude will not help them last longer. I wont recommend this hotel to anyone.

Central location and delicious food

The hotel is in an excellent location—right opposite the Ernakulam Shiva Temple and just a short stroll to the seaside promenade overlooking Kochi Harbour. It’s only 5–10 minutes from Ernakulam Junction Railway Station and close to Maharaja’s College Metro Station, with plenty of amenities nearby. The room and bathroom were of decent size—basic but clean and comfortable. There’s a kettle with tea/coffee provisions, and they also provide a flask of hot water on request at no extra cost. The in-house vegetarian restaurant and café are very good, and limited on-site parking is available. Staff were courteous and helpful throughout my stay. Overall, a convenient, clean, and pleasant choice in the heart of the city.
